Kid-friendly holiday rentals in Norte Region

I spent a glorious month at Maria Celeste’s home. It was simply the best place to reset, connect with nature & rest. I’ve never been to a more peaceful home. Freshly squeezed orange juice (from trees) every morning. Lemons for water. A natural spring to swim off hiking grime. Mountains to climb surrounding the entire home. Lizard & butterfly friends. And so so quiet. Maria Celeste picked me up & drove me to the location. Taxi services available to go to town when needed. I can not recommend staying at this home more. If you need some R’n’R, stay. You won’t regret it.

This place is an absolute gem. It is one of the nicest places we found in Portugal. The house is located in a small vineyard. Beds were comfortable. There’s a wood fired barbeque a great outdoor covered area and a beautiful infinity pool. Every morning we had fresh bread delivered to our doorstep. We picked lemons and oranges from around the house and had the host deliver us fruit. It was beautiful and quiet. The only negative is that we enjoy the place so much we did not visit any of the surrounding areas😊. If we had any questions, the host was response almost immediately with suggestions for places to go restaurants, markets. We had an excellent day and would return and stay there again anytime. It is definitely a 10 out of 10 definitely highly recommended.

We had the most incredible stay at this beautiful home! It’s spacious, stylish, and absolutely perfect for a large group. The layout is ideal with bedrooms upstairs and downstairs feels like a dedicated hosting space, perfect for socialising, gathering, a nice big hot tub!!!! The views are truly spectacular we enjoyed barbecuing while overlooking the vineyards, which felt like something out of a dream. It’s even more stunning in real life than in the photos (which is saying a lot!). The hostess was absolutely lovely so friendly and helpful. She responded promptly to every request and made us feel so welcome throughout our stay. I genuinely can’t fault this place. If I could, I’d return every weekend! It’s ideal for groups of friends, families. The house is incredibly well-suited for the Douro Valley and ticks every box. Thank you, thank you, thank you for such a wonderful stay! Would 101% recommend!

Beautiful location in a quiet area. Nice view from the balcony. The decor was also very nice, ideal for a holiday feeling but also to feel at home. Paula was always available and responded quickly. Very friendly people.

A great start to our holiday even if the weather gods weren’t quite playing ball, the house was a great place to relax in. The pool is a great size and the farm around the property is nice.

This was the most magical Airbnb I’ve ever stayed in. The space is completely private and very romantic and peaceful, and the views are just breathtaking. The interior decor is stunning and feels very warm and welcoming. You have your own private pool with a view of the valley and two nice pool recliners, and the bed and couch are so soft and comfortable. Also, the outdoor stone bathtub with the special bath pillows was such a relaxing treat! We explored the area around a bit to see some vineyards, but we made dinner at the house every night and enjoyed the amazing breakfast delivered to our door every morning—all that to say, we barely left! This is worth the trip just to visit the Airbnb. I can’t recommend it enough.

the accommodation is very well furnished, everything is well thought out, Netflix, bread in the morning, kitchen essentials, and jacuzzi very appreciated after a day of hiking. Beautiful pool with deckchairs for relaxing. i would go back again

The most fantastic stay, we will definitely be back! The location and accommodation was even better than the photos and the host and staff were so friendly and approachable. The views from the entire place were fantastic. A very private and peaceful stay, and the breakfast baskets were very generous, full of fresh fruit, bread etc. We did a wine tasting on the vineyard and it was so reasonably priced and great wine. There was also a lovely peacock and cat that roamed the vineyard and came to say hello on occasion. Both pools were fantastic! Thank you for a really memorable holiday 🥰.

I would highly recommend this place. The location is perfect, a stone’s throw from the city centre but away from the hustle & bustle and noise. Maria and Sergio also met us upon arrival and provided us with great recommendations. The view from the terrace is exactly as pictured - it is the perfect spot to kick back and relax on the Duoro River after a long day of walking the hills of Porto.

We had a wonderful stay! The apartment was beautifully decorated, very clean, and in a great location—close to the city center and easy to get around. The highlight was definitely the balcony with its stunning view of the river. Highly recommend!

We were in Porto for Primavera so spent 4 nights at this delightful apartment. Everywhere really walkable from front door and lots of restaurants/coffee bars locally. Lovely back garden is a bonus in city centre and enjoyed sitting in the sunshine with a glass of wine. Extremely quiet despite the location and no discernible noise from apartment above. It felt like a bit of a haven. Comfy bed and much of furniture ikea so good standard plus the owners decorative touches. Laurent super helpful, found us car parking and even met us there and took us to apartment. Definitely recommend and would stay again.

Yhe place is unique and reminisent of its original purpose. Modern interior nested within a very large original room. Several sets of doors open to the outside and coblestone street below. Walkers and partiers below could be loud at night. We closed the doors and turned on the fan which made it tollerable. We would certainly go again to this place if in Porto

We had an amazing stay! The location was perfect and close to everything we wanted to see and do in Porto. The host was incredibly kind and welcoming, and shared so many great recommendations that really helped us make the most of our trip. Would definitely stay here again

Such a nice home and nice host! Check in was easy, the place was super clean and cute, and the host was so easy to communicate with. Only feedback is that it would be nice if shampoo and conditioner were provided, as well as some blankets for watching tv on the couch

The apartment was perfect. The host helped us solving some issues we had during the stay. They were great and extremely kind. We highly recommend and will definitely book this apartment again if we come back to Braga.

The apartment is a delight from the moment you walk in. It is beautifully decorated and feels like a home. Great bathroom with amazing rain shower and hot water. Bedroom and kitchen and living areas are all well presented and equipped with all you need and with lots of additional touches. Very quiet for sleeping, and great air conditioning in bedroom and living area. Great location to explore Porto, and don’t even have to walk very far at all, including a great cafe next door, to find lovely eating places. Pedro was a wonderful host in every way.

Nuno’s Porto studio was great! The location is perfect as it has various great restaurants and cafes right on the same street and you can walk to anywhere in the city within 10-15 min. The place was a modern studio that was very clean and had cool views. Nuno was very responsive and accommodating. I would stay here again!

We spent 4 very pleasant days in the apartment, which is very well located in the center of Matosinhos and has all kinds of businesses nearby (also the beach!). It's great for a couple or a single person. And Fernando, the host, will give you all the information you need to enjoy your stay, and will be on hand to resolve any issues that will make your trip even more enjoyable. In short, a great experience!

Martha was incredibly polite and responsive from the beginning. Martha also recommended some lovely places to eat. I honestly didn’t realise how central the location was. We walked everywhere, about 15,000 steps a day and there was plentiful and good value restaurants and bars locally. Martha was extremely kind and accommodated us by letting us leave our things in the apartment on our last day as there were no new guests to check in and we had a late flight. There is construction immediately next to the apartment but this had very little impact. I would 100% recommend this location anf Martha for her kindness and attentiveness.

All I can say is wow! We spent 11 days staying at Adriano’s apartment and it felt like home! I don’t think I’ve ever stayed in such a well equipped Air BnB. If you could think of it, Adriano had it. In the bathroom there was shampoo, conditioner, shower gel, hair dryer and hair straighteners. In the kitchen there was every utensil you could think of and more, I think you could cook a full Sunday roast dinner and have every pan and dish required! We are a family of four, with children aged 5 and 7. They made the most of the swimming pool during our stay and the beach. The pool is cool but refreshing. The sea was like ice but we made good games of jumping the waves and splashing one another. The beach is less than a five minute walk from the apartment and is a must during your stay, even if it’s just to watch the surfers fight the waves. It’s a very peaceful beach! Adriano is a great host and very helpful. We will be looking to stay again if we come back to the area!

Daniel is extremely friendly and helpful, nothing was too much trouble and very quick responses. We had a lovely stay and would highly recommend any of Daniel's private tours which are much more personal. if we return to Porto we would definitely stay here again.
