Holiday rentals with a fire pit in North Elba

Gert’s place is super cute and cozy, exactly as pictured and described. It was conveniently located between Saranac lake and Lake Placid. It’s also a 3 minute walk to the rail trail which was a great way to end the day. We saw lots of wildlife including deer, turkeys and a snapping turtle! The kitchen was well stocked with stainless steel pans, knives, spices and lots of extras! The bed was very comfortable and the air conditioning kept it cool on the hot nights. Best part was being allowed to bring our furry friend who enjoyed the dog bed provided. Overall a great place to stay and would highly recommend!

Thanks for sharing your home! It’s a peaceful and relaxing getaway, but also only a short drive to Lake Placid restaurant and shops. A very well stocked kitchen for those who enjoy cooking at home.

Heather, Thank you so much! It is amazing how peaceful the house and that giant yard was, and yet we were so close to town. Everything was exactly as you described from the massive fenced in yard for the dogs, to the spacious house that easily allowed everyone to visit comfortably. We walked to town several times, and to grab the delicious food from the Pickled Pig. This house was absolutely perfect for our needs, thank you!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the "Dreamy Mirror Lake House." Our hosts Patrick & Kevin were also very responsive and got back to us quickly when we had questions. The location of the house is perfect - the shops are a short walk, the neighbors are quiet, and the view of the lake is stunning. The interior of the house looked exactly like the pictures in the listing and we had everything our family needed, and more! We enjoyed sitting on the dock and taking the kayaks & paddle boards out onto the lake. The pool table/ping pong table in the rec room was also fun! The house was perfect for our family and we would love to return in the future!

We stayed here for a week and it was lovely. The photos honestly don't do it justice. The place is lovely, large, and clean. Fully stocked with everything from spices to towels and linens to household supplies. It's private and has a separate entrance. The shared driveway is large and well maintained. It snowed a lot and it was always plowed. Rex and Cay were also super helpful when we were in a bad spot. I can't thank them enough for their generosity. I would definitely recommend this place and we hope to come back in the future.

Great place to visit, house is very cozy with large windows in the living room. Loved watching the snow from the couch with a cup of coffee. Great place to go with kids, large backyard is a great place to them to play. Emily responded quickly to all my questions. Thank you , hope to come back next year.

We had a very great vacation at this place. Near to the WhiteFace mountain, the house has many accommodations (dishwasher, washer and dryer…). It was perfect for our family.

We were visiting family in Keene. Everything was clean and the fireplace was all set up so all we had to do is light it. Plenty of wood provided. 20 minutes to Lake Placid. Tons of hiking available. We will definitely be back.

I wish I could give Deb and Doug 1000 stars! The apartment was amazing, truly a home away from home! The kitchen was STOCKED with everything you would need from a waffle maker, pans, to coffee/tea, to eggs! Deb even made us homemade gingerbread cookies which were DELICIOUS. Two out of the four days that we stayed, we actually made breakfast and ate in the dining room! And saw hummingbirds out of the window!! The living room was super cozy and we made great use of the electric fireplace (The weather was still in the 50s when we went). It also had a very comfy sofa bed which I slept on while my parents took the bedroom. They said their bed was super comfy too! There was even a noise machine in the bedroom along with some fans (they really thought of everything!). The apartment was also incredibly quiet and private. And we honestly didn't even pay much mind to the low ceilings. We're all around 5'7" and we had absolutely no issues! We cant wait to visit again, we will definitely be back!

This place was great. I've stayed in many ABNBs and this place was very clean. It was a very short walk to downtown which was perfect to catch a music show or grab some beers at the brewery. The neighbors were nice too. parking was easy. It's a basement on 2 sides with a walkout to the street like the photos show so it's cool and darker which was great, bc I like to sleep in and I didn't get too hot at night. had a great stay. I would stay there again, and would recommend.

Audrey’s Porcupine Farm Barn was the perfect place for us and our pup to get some respite from our day to day grind. With scenic vistas outside our window the space was an ideal blend of rustic and comfortable, and Audrey was around to answer any questions and assist us whenever we needed. We would absolutely stay again - and hopefully will soon!

This lovely space was perfect for our weekend away. From the super clean condition to the cozy feel you get when you walk in the door, everything was terrific. Our host, Brian, communicated very timely and kindly. I would definitely recommend this space!

We had a great holiday weekend in Charlotte at Robert's apartment. It was close to the mountains we wanted to climb and a nature preserve where we skied. Close to Burlington and Middlebury where we found dinner each night. The apartment is cozy and comfortable; really a delightful place. We also met Robert who was funny and the perfect host. We stayed during a massive winter storm that dumped so much snow on the area and Robert was always very interested in making sure we could get out of the driveway! There were also thoughtful snacks and what not for us when we arrived which is such a nice bonus. We will definitely check to see if the apartment is available the next time we come to VT. Thank you so much, Robert! We hope to stay with you again soon.

We loved staying at Rebecca’s cabin! It was a gorgeous place to get away and decompress. We had a fire and roasted marshmallows every night. It was so relaxing to having my morning coffee with the sound of the stream in the background. Rebecca was extremely responsive and made us feel welcome. We will definitely be back when we need another getaway in the mountains!

We loved our stay. Host was friendly and told us about the property when we arrived. Lake placid was around the corner with plenty of restaurants, shops and hikes. Their land is beautiful with a pond and our dog loved to roam. The cabin was lovely. The owner crafted it himself and well. We can tell it he worked hard on it and it was built extremely well done for the space. We would come back again in the future. Thank you for allow us to experience your space :)

This lakeside cabin was an amazing getaway from the busy life that we live. We spent our early morning having coffee on the dock while we watched our dog splash around and swim endlessly. The cabin was both far away from busy streets but also close enough to walk to shops and the nearby town. The cabin itself was very clean and provided a nice quiet place to relax after a long day of outdoor activity. We enjoyed using the kayaks provided as well as the fire-pit. We were fortunate to meet Walter who was kind of enough to give us a boat tour and a talk to us about life in the Adirondacks. We had a great time visiting and will not hesitate to book another stay should we venture off to the Adirondacks again.

Kari’s place was warm and accommodating, a lovely place to retreat into the mountains for a few days. The kids loved playing in the yard & we loved cozy evenings by the fire. Kari was such a wonderful, responsive host, full of local recommendations & when the coffee pot went on the fritz, she zipped over and replaced it immediately. We had a wonderful trip & would definitely come again!

Great cabin vibes, close to Wilmington and the public beach. A bit of a drive to Lake Placid and restaurants/cafes, etc, but drive was beautiful. Was a great place to stay when doing an event in Wilmington, and we really loved being close to the beach and river. Cabin was perfect with very functional kitchen that had everything we needed to cook. Didn't use the firepit outside but it looked lovely. Enjoyed the screen in porch, TV had all the channels and apps you'd want, shower had great pressure. Nice to have washer dryer. One thing to note is there is no cell service near the house, so make sure you write down the key code before you arrive for checkin!

We had a great stay overall! The location is peaceful and remote—perfect for a quiet getaway in the Adirondacks. Just a heads-up: cell service is very limited in the area, so make sure to set your GPS directions before you arrive. The house itself was in good order and matched the listing—clutter-free and comfortable. While it could have used a deeper clean, it was tidy and functional and accurate to the listing. The beds were especially excellent—super comfortable and made for a great night’s sleep. Would recommend for anyone looking to unplug and enjoy the outdoors. The host Daniel is excellent and a pleasure to work with. Very responsive and proactive, and it's clear he takes pride in his AirBnB business.

Michael’s place is absolutely gorgeous. Although the weather wasn’t on our side, we still felt very cozy and at home. When we got a little break in the weather we went to some nearby hikes and views with our dog who loved every bit of it. Would highly recommend a stay here.

A cozy cabin conveniently located. It was perfect for us and equipped with everything we needed for our stay. The furniture and beds were very comfortable. Sarah communicated before and during our stay and provided helpful information on places of interest in the area. We couldn’t travel without our dog (she is blind) and appreciated that she was welcomed at the cabin. I would highly recommend this cabin for anyone who wants to visit the area. I would not hesitate to go back.
