Beachfront holiday rentals in North Sea

This house is a gem! I came to stay a week in off season with my dog, Rollo. The location is breathtaking, right on the Long Island Sound. We had a great time exploring the beach, looking for all the biodiversity in the birds and sea creatures, watching the boats, and this place is relatively close to an airport so watching the planes land and take off was awsome as well. We came for privacy, and I expected the beach to be a little more private than it was due to my dog's reactivity. But the neighbors did not seem to have issues with us, and once you are close to the water, especially in low tide, the beach is pretty open for all the locals. Walking around, the locals all waved and said hello. Not too many restaurants close by, but the Lobster Shack down the road had good food! Would stay again! The deck alone was worth it!

We very much enjoyed staying in Meredith’s place. The cottage is surrounded by trees so it feels secluded and peaceful. The cottage is elegantly decorated; there were so many nice books around which we enjoyed checking out. Meredith was so nice and responsive. We will definitely go back.

We loved Laura and Dana’s Big Easy home by the beach. It was big and comfortable and every detail had been thought about to maximize our enjoyment. Drawers and closets and cabinets were all labeled so we didn’t have to search for anything or guess where anything was. Literally every need had been anticipated! Amazing. The beds and bedding and linens and towels were abundant and soft and comfortable. The kitchen amenities were awesome, from an air fryer, to a full set of bar tools and blender, to great appliances. The decor was happy and cheerful and creative and fun. There were so many places to sit and enjoy, both inside and out. Do not hesitate to choose this wonderful place for a visit of any length. You will love it!

Barbara’s place reminded me of the way airbnbs used to be. It felt like home-away-from-home. The accommodations were high quality and clean, and there were even some tasty snacks! We loved our stay. Everything was as pictured. Stony Creek was wonderful, and we look forward to visiting again next year!

Ashley’s house is the perfect get away. I booked this house for my family to stay for my wedding weekend. My mom had never stayed in an Airbnb before and I’ve never seen her so happy and relaxed. She truly enjoyed her first Airbnb experience at Ashley’s place. It was exactly as described and the view is beautiful. Ashley was very responsive and made sure to answer any questions I had.

I had the most amazing stay at this Airbnb beach house. The views were absolutely immaculate, turning every moment into a picture perfect scene. This was our second time staying at Ron’s place, and it was so great! The location is wonderful, the place is super dog friendly, the beach is perfect location. It’s a cute group of cottages down old Montauk highway, so away from the hustle and bustle but close enough for Ubers and driving! Can’t wait to stay again!

Fantastic location! We were literally a two minute walk from the beach. The studio apartment was as advertised and we would stay there again. We highly recommend!

Second year renting this house and it once again was incredible. The house, yard, pool and deck were perfect for our young family and dog. Spencer was incredibly communicative throughout the process and we enjoyed many of his listed recommendations! Southold is an amazing area and Seasound is the perfect oasis to stay while enjoying the Northfork!

If we don't give a good review, can we keep this to ourselves?! Patti was a perfect host; the views were fantastic, whether from the outdoor porch or inside through the French doors looking out on the water. Access to the small beach and pool were excellent and we were close to several good restaurants (many of which Patti suggested, including some on the water) for take-out during the pandemic. Wifi was great and everything was very clean and as advertised. We generally fly for vacations and long weekends but had to stay closer to home this year and this was a perfect choice.

We had a wonderful girls weekend at Allana’s house by the sea! When we had a small incident with the keypad, Allana was quick to answer my call and resolve the issue no problem. Everything was clean and beautiful! We especially enjoyed the screened in porch in the back to enjoy our meals. The view from the master bedroom and deck is incredible! We highly recommend and will be back!

Dan is the most responsive host we've ever had. Usually we got a reply within minutes or even seconds. He happily got the hot tub heated up for us when we needed it and replenished our towels within an hour of our request. That hospitality made our stay so much better. The home is beautiful! It's right on the water, and features lots of luxurious tile, a huge patio, a little dock and lots of windows and open space from which to see it all. We especially loved the hot tub. I wouldn't hesitate to stay again if I'm ever on Long Island again.

Loved Samy’s corner unit, which gave us a bit more privacy and quiet than other parts of the property. The studio was as described, with great light and well-cleaned prior to our arrival. Enjoyed use of the tennis courts every day. Only minor disappointment was that we were not yet allowed to use the pool, which we were told would be ready by Memorial Day (we were there one week prior). Still, a worthwhile stay and I’d come back and recommend it to others.

Great spot for a few days in Montauk. Really close drive to town only about 15 walk into town. Great food cart on property open when the weather is good. Amazing ocean views from most rooms hard to find in the Hamptons.

Great and responsive host. Home was lovely and we felt welcome. Host responded quickly to questions and requests. The home was very peaceful and relaxing. We really enjoyed the outdoor patio and pool area. I would recommend for a peaceful time away from the city.

There’s so much to love about this charming open plan beach cottage! We especially enjoyed the water views, hearing the birds, and eating on the breezy porch. It was sparkling clean and stocked with everything you’d need, from comfortable beds and towels to many thoughtful essentials like hand and dish soaps, tea and coffee pods, paper towels/toilet paper, and shampoo/conditioner. Eileen is a gracious and responsive host — she was particularly understanding when we had to reschedule our visit. Thank you for a wonderful stay, Eileen, and we hope to return!

We had a lovely time in Margaret’s cottage. It had everything we needed and we felt surrounded by nature. Our kids loved watching the squirrels, wild turkeys and other birds that were constantly going back and forth in front of our windows.

Very clean, new, well appointed studio. We’d definitely stay again.

A truly lovely spot! Quiet, relaxing and comfortable. We enjoyed the view of the water, reading on the patio in the lounge chairs and sitting on the bench overlooking the beach. We would love to come back again.

We had a great time at the house. Grill was brand new and Anthony made sure it got set up right away and the propane connected. Beautiful property and location was perfect for wineries and town. Really appreciated the stay and would love to return. Anthony communicated every step of the way and answered all questions which didn’t go unnoticed.

Brandon and her husband were amazing. Their place is beautiful and exactly what we were looking for on our vacation. Very relaxing, intimate, and classic Montauk experience. We had a great time and the visitor guide and suggestions were perfect. We hope to go back soon!

We had a great stay at the Airbnb. One thing I haven’t seen mentioned in the reviews or descriptions is that this beach had tons of sea glass! In our short stay we found over 100 pieces and my 4 year old was absolutely delighted scouring the beach for it. There are also tide pools less than a five minute walk from the house. These two things made the stay quite magical for my kids. Otherwise the location is great and the house was very clean. I appreciated the bed on the first level having a trundle as well as a door at the top of the stairs for safety. The house is minimally decorated which is honestly a plus when you don’t have to worry about your kid breaking nicknacks on coffee tables. A few nice throw blankets and nicer glassware would have added to the stay though. Overall we were very happy with this property.

I honestly don’t know how to put into words how amazing this stay was. It’s the kind of place you want to keep to yourself—but the moment we opened the door and saw the water, we were in awe. Truly breathtaking. Linda, our host, was exceptional. She added thoughtful touches that made the home feel cozy and welcoming. She checked in during a weather change to make sure we were comfortable, offered us an early check-in, and was kind, patient, and incredibly responsive throughout our stay. Her attentiveness made the entire experience feel so personal and cared for. The house radiated peace. Being by the water brought such calm that I barely touched my phone—I was completely in the moment, which rarely happens on vacation. Everything was spotless and ready for our arrival. The town was charming and quiet, just what we needed coming from the city. By the end of the first night, we were already planning our return. Thank you, Linda, for your warmth and generosity.
