Holiday rentals with a fireplace in Observatory

Stayed for a month with wife and kids. Excellent location. walkable to Woolworths for groceries. Many restaurants and bars nearby for a night out. BBQ grill in the backyard for a night in. Rooms are comfortable. AC heating and cooling work. Looks like the photos. Many kitchen appliances and amenities for cooking include several spices. Lots of options for coffee, instant, drip, press, Nespresso. Regular scheduled cleaning and gardening. Prompt host responses for any issue. Very quiet and narrow street. 2 parking spots. Completely dark at night (use your phone flashlight when walking at night). Strong door and safety features. Close proximity to UCT satellite campus with shuttle to main campus. Excellent for a long-term visitor. will stay again.

It is a second time we stayed at this specific place and will definitely return! It is an overwhelmingly positive experience in many-many ways.

This was our first trip to Cape Town but did have feedback from my daughter who is studying there. The Gardens neighborhood worked well because of its central location. Unfortunately the city is car dependent so plan on lots of Ubering - always a car within 2 minutes - even vans! The mall down the street was a blessing - pharmacy, 2 grocery stores and a bunch of other stuff. The home was so perfect for a group of 7 - probably the best was the large open living space that gave way to a work space at the dining room table, cooking space galore in the kitchen, comfy couches to watch the French Open from and then a napping window that is super cozy. There is a great outdoor table and rooftop deck but due to timing and some weather did not spend a lot of time there - but the invitation of both spaces quite charming. Would stay there without hesitation next trip if over 4 travelers!

We loved our stay here while we were visiting Cape Town. It has an amazing view of the ocean and a wonderful outdoor space to enjoy it. The house was extremely clean and well-stocked for our stay, and Naomi was very kind and attentive. There is plenty of space for anywhere from a couple to a large family to stay. We will definitely book this Airbnb again on our next trip to Cape Town!

Deirdré’s guest accommodation was perfect. Everything was clean, tastefully decorated and there was everything you would need (and more) for a super-comfortable stay. The house was spacious and had an indoor fireplace, with plenty of wood supplied, and an outdoor long table and braai. It also had a lovely garden and great views of the mountain, especially from upstairs. Deirdré was a lovely host. She was responsive, accommodating and kind. There were clear instructions for self-check-in and detailed notes on how everything in the house works. All in all, a wonderful space, and we would definitely book again. An easy 5 out of 5 stars!

My favorite place, the interior design is mind blowing, absolutely love the colors. The house is so spacious with balconies and rooftop.. Had a great time there.. Love the list of local recommendations with closing time. Host has always been very friendly and helpful.. Thanks a lot 🙏🏼

My stay in Woodstock, was great! The location is unbeatable - central and just steps away from a variety of breakfast, lunch, and dinner spots, making dining out a breeze to explore local flavors. The neighborhood buzzes with rich, creative culture, trendy galleries, and a diverse mix of locals and visitors that gives a lively welcome vibe. The home itself was perfectly set up, with a bright, airy feel thanks to abundant natural light. The updtairs workstation was ideal for getting a lot of work done, and the view from the deck was a highlight, simply stunning. The modern appliances added a touch of convenience and luxury. I highly recommend this spot for anyone wanting to soak up Cape Town's dynamic cultural scene. Communication with Benjamin and his neighbour was smooth and responsive throughout my stay, adding to the excellent experience.

Fabulous place, location, and hosts. I highly recommend both. Kalk Bay is all charm. The apartment, top floor, has a wonderful view of the ocean and hills. Stunning. Easy secure walking into town. Lynne and Luiz are the best. The apartment is perfect in everyway: the bathtub overlooks the hills and with the sound of the ocean is all peace and comfort.

Great experience. Good support from hosts. Clean and well-equipped. A bit off the beaten track, so a car is needed, but in a tranquil and safe part of Durbanville. Can recommend.

We really enjoyed our stay. Beautiful, spacious home with incredible views over Cape Town. The master bedroom is exceptional! The one downside was the wifi was very stop starty and for majority of our stay it didn’t work. We only had one day where we really needed it though and the hosts were responsive when trying to trouble shoot this. Would recommend!

I really enjoyed staying at Michelle’s place. She was a wonderful host. The place is nice and fully equipped in secure and safe location. We couldn’t ask for a better place. Highly recommend it.

I never go to the same Airbnb as I want to try out a new place each time but goodness me, this place? I will return to it over and over again. The deco, the space, the view, the comfort, the safety, the list is endless! A real home away from home. So serene and peaceful, the perfect place to unwind and take in all the beauty of Cape Town without being right in the middle of the hustle and bustle.

Fantastic place, a stones throw from the beach, short walk to the restaurants and amazing sunset views. The accommodation is spacious, well equipped and tidied/cleaned daily. Mary Louise and Sean are fantastic hosts - very responsive and were kind enough to let us check in early.

Camp’s Bay getaway like no other! Great team running the show, super responsive and great communication. The place is out of a dream. Phenomenal location and feng shui. Highly recommend for a medium size group or family to feel safe at night. Recommend going in the South African summer for all the Americans though.

This villa made our trip more enjoyable, everything was wonderful, the owner Mr wim was very helpful and also the maid Ms Julie was wonderful in everything. I highly recommend this villa for anyone. I can’t wait to stay there again.

This gets my highest recommendation, and no I’m not connected to the owner in any way. The entire experience beat all expectations. Owners very kind and helpful. The ViEW is incredible. So comfortable for my wife and 4 adult children.

This villa is simply amazing. We went with a group of 9 friends in mid December for 8 nights. The housekeeper Julius welcomed us and showed everything when we arrived. He also was there every day (except Saturday) and always available on Whats App. Everything was perfect from the beginning to the end. We can highly recommend staying in this villa.

What a privilege to be able to stay in this very special place. It is spacious, private and absolutely beautiful. The views would be hard to beat anywhere in the world. The layout of the house is perfect and the linen and finishes all high quality. We were here in late summer and the house was the perfect beach escape. You can walk to the beach and to the Red Herring centre which has fantastic restaurants. There is so much to do in Noordhoek and Cape Town. The house might be a little cold in mid winter due to its position on the mountain and open plan nature.

Stewart was an amazing and helpful host. We enjoyed our stay, the location was amazing as well! We were close to the town and all of the establishments. Will definitely consider Stewart’s place anytime I’m in town. Great host :)
