The surrounding area offers nice hiking experiences with lake and mountains in the immediate vicinity, as well as a short drive to the nearest town. In the fjord outside the house there are opportunities for good fishing from the jetty. The house is located close to the popular tourist destination Dronningruta and the fishing village Nyksund. It is also a good location as a base for exploring both Lofoten, Bø, Hadsel and Andøya.

You can get to the island by speedboat from Myre or Skjellfjorden - or your own/rented boat if you have this available.

Velkommen til Farmorhuset i Nykvåg, midt i vakre Vesterålen. Huset er bygd i 1954 og kombinerer nostalgisk 50-tallsstil med moderne bekvemmeligheter. Jeg har arvet dette huset av min far, som igjen arvet det av sin mor, og det har derfor vært viktig for meg å bevare husets sjel og historie. Passer best for 5 gjester, men kan romme 6 ved behov med ekstra madrass på ett av soverommene. Farmorhuset har 3 soverom, 4 senger og 1 bad.
