Historic private 2bd home on Bayou St John. Kayak from the front door or lounge in the backyard under our oak tree. 2 queen beds in separate walk-thru bedrooms allow for tons of space in our shotgun. Kitchen is stocked with everything you need and is environmentally friendly. Within walking distance to City Park, restaurants, Blue Bikes, and the streetcar line, it’s a wonderful location to see the city. Off street parking and self check-in. Sunsets from the front porch with the alligators!

Downtown HANGOUT! - Walk to French Quarter!

Jay was an excellent host who was very responsive and clearly knows this neighborhood well. He gave us some good recommendations and we made some friends at some of the local spots. I never once felt unsafe walking around the neighborhood or coming back and forth from the French Quarter. The linens smelled nice and clean, there was air conditioning, a couple of nice bathrooms with great water pressure, and a nice kitchen. I slept great in the beds, and even hung out outside enjoying the lovely weather. I cant wait to return and stay here again. Best value for your money around.

One of the best Airbnb we've stayed at. Great views that capture sunrise and sunset. The kids loved the kayaks and taking them across the channel into some marsh grass during high tides. Hard to put any negative here but the tap water was fine but if you're sensitive you might want to bring some bottled water with you.

Can't say enough about Pelican Pier Beach House. Spotless, beautifully decorated home with serene views of Lake Catherine. Owner provides many of the necessities and complimentary coffee pods and supplies. We are repeat visitors and would never consider anyplace else because we love it. Great fishing and crabbing. We highly recommend and we will be back.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this vacation house. Everything was just as described or even better. The pool was awesome for the whole family and we put the ping-pong table to good use as well. The beds are all comfortable and the A/C kept us nice and cool. The kitchen is well stocked with all the appliances, dishes, utensils, pots and pans you could possibly want or need. The location was perfect for everything we wanted to do. Two minutes to the beach and a short drive to great restaurants, golf, and fishing. I can't wait to come back!
