Beautiful 2BR Beach Lodge Set In Stunning Gardens

MeganRating, 5 stars1 week ago
Perfect, so peaceful and we had a lovely stay. Loved the location. Only problem was finding the property when we first arrived, we struggled to find the first turn off on the instructions! Very happy with the stay :)

The Place, Loweswater. Utter tranquillity.

ElizabethRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
We had a wonderful stay at The Place. The location is breathtaking, and the house itself is perfect - every detail is beautiful and well thought-out, and Lucy had provided anything one could think of. Everything was of very high quality, from the bed linen and towels to the kitchen equipment. We were all adults, but if you have children, there are lots of toys, games, and activities, so that even on rainy days, there is plenty to do. Great walks nearby, perfect both for those who like hills and those who prefer flatter ground - Buttermere and Crummock are wonderful low ground walks, and of course the walk though Holme Woods to the Kirkstile is lovely. Thanks, Lucy and Nick!

Bridgend Cottage, Auchencairn, Castle Douglas

RickRating, 5 stars2 days ago
The house is amazingly spacious for its appearance with two sitting rooms (with fires) and a huge garden dining room. The kitchen is fully fitted with all you need from cookware to utensils and there are basics as well. The place was perfectly clean and in good order. The house is quiet and in the back the burn murmurs close by. The village of Auchencairn is charming . The local shop is just steps from the cottage and serves coffee and cakes. You can preorder dinners. Don’t miss the local organic Torr Farm organic milk (there are bottles to fill in the cottage. Nearby Castle Douglas is food centric with three specialty butchers and a world class baker, Earth’s Crust. There are so many local walks either directly out the door of the cottage or within a short ride it’s impossible to do them all in a week. Don’t miss the Balcary Bay cliffs. Golf at Southerness GC is the best of Scottish golf. Kirkcudbright is charming artist town with an excellent museum. Go!

Stockman's Cottage

StuRating, 5 stars1 day ago
Stockman's cottage is a wonderful property, set in beautiful surroundings. A short walk away from local shops and restaurants. We were on a 4 day motorcycle tour. The location was perfect for access to amazing roads, safe in the knowledge that our bikes would be secure overnight. Anne was a great host! We we definitely be back for a return visit.

Roseneath Cottage

What a lovely, idyllic cottage in a quiet village, at the foot of beautiful hills. Elizabeth was very friendly and fast to respond to any queries I had. We had a slight issue in the bathroom and Elizabeth was over and had it repaired in less than 30 minutes of reporting it. If you like gardens, it may be small, but this cottage has an absolutely beautiful one, if only it had been a bit warmer I would have been out in it every spare minute I was there, also it is just round the corner to Threave Gardens. I would happily stay here again when visiting family locally. Thank you Elizabeth.

My dog and I had a lovely relaxing time at the cottage. It was perfect for the 2 of us. It was quite remote ( but I like that ) in my opinion so you would need a car. The High ceilings make the cottage seem bigger and the paintings done by a local artist are lovely on the walls. The cottage had everything we needed, the heating was very responsive so in no time you are cosy, I didn't use the log burner but it was great and Betsey left lots of logs. The bath was lovely with lashings of hot water. Loved it, thank you Betsey and lovely to meet you and your beautiful dog.

The Byre, Summerhill Farm Stays

JoshRating, 5 stars4 weeks ago
Holly and Nick have created an amazing little space, perfect for a relaxing and peaceful getaway. The place was spotless and cosy, me and my fiancée were more than impressed and our expectations were absolutely exceeded, especially with such an affordable price. The hosts were so helpful and answered any and all questions we had. We had some lovely neighbours, being the farm's sheep who quite happily walked around the field as well as a very friendly pooch who came and gave us loads of cuddles on the decking. Overall it was a perfect little stay for us to unwind and relax and I'm certainly sure that we will be back again in the future. A big thank you to Holly and Nick!
