Tobetsu-cho is the only area where you can experience the nature and rural life of Hokkaido, about 40 minutes by train from Sapporo. In addition, in the town where samurai settled, the god of samurai is enshrined in Tobetsu Shrine. The local shops are also attractive, and there are interesting shops such as Gibier specialty shops and taverns where you can interact with cats. I recommend guests to stay for more than a week to experience local life in Dobetsu. If you stay for a long time, you can learn more about Dobetsu-machi. In the summer, you can enjoy the nature of Hokkaido if you run for 15 minutes by bicycle. In winter, it is a heavy snow zone with more than a meter of snow.There are also snowmen making, sledding, and snow festivals. Mouni Garden - Nature overlooking Ishikari Bay

Aihara, a long-established restaurant known for its Ishikari hot pot, was renovated over 100 years ago based on Aihara Fisheries, a fishing company in Ishikari Beach. A house in the great outdoors overlooking the Ishikari Lighthouse, the setting of the 1957 movie, "The Wandering Years". It is a treasure trove of coastal plants and wild birds on a magnificent natural plain adjacent to Hamanasu-no-Oka Park, which spreads out at the mouth of the Ishikari River. From June to September, it is a comfortable space surrounded by a colony of Hamanasu flowers (Ainu name Mauuni). (Accommodation is available from mid-April to the end of October) The 2nd floor is a cafe lounge, "Mouni no Oka", which also appears in the movies "Hoshi wo Mimamatte KUU" and "Tantei wa Bar ni Iru 1". A cafe with a panoramic view of Ishikari Bay. You can enjoy a natural hot spring at the nearby Banya-no-Yu (600 m). The nearby Frontier Riding Club also offers a beach walking course. The pure Japanese-style room is 8 tatami mats and can sleep up to 3 people in a futon. (There is another room for more than 3 people.Check out our listings.) Our family of 6 will welcome you in an at-home atmosphere. We will prepare Japanese breakfast during your stay. We also have two rooms available for guests.
