My daughter and i had a super stay. We felt safe to explore the beautiful farm and gardens. The view from the cottage, hot tub and friendly donkeys were a highlight. The staff are friendly and helpful. We have shared this location with our family and friends.

Perfect getaway spot in beautiful Hermanus! The location is fantastic –private, and close to town (walking distance). The firewood hot tub was such a treat, and the host was incredibly welcoming and helpful. Highly recommend!

Had a lovely stay at the cottage. Special views to enjoy, well equipped home, uncluttered yet including most of what makes a break comfortable. Particularly impressed by kitchen equipment, cutlery, crockery quality - makes for convenient self catering. Location good and plenty of activities nearby. Very suitable for a couple or family of 4 but might feel a bit crowded with six adults in the space. But certainly a wonderful break away

Lovely location, remote enough for nature lovers but just 15min from Gansbaai for groceries, etc. Plenty of scenic walks for all fitness levels, multiple swimming spots, nearby Lomond wine farm has great MTB trails. The cottage is spacious and comfortable, the covered outdoor seating area with braai is a relaxing vibe. Would revisit for sure.

The cottage was cozy, clean, and beautifully decorated—exactly as described. Surrounded by nature, it was peaceful and relaxing, with all the amenities we needed for a comfortable stay. The host was friendly and responsive. Would definitely stay again!

We stayed here for two nights as part of a longer trip from the UK in the Western Cape. This was such a lovely spot to just stop and relax. We loved the inside/outside space and a cooler/rainy day gave us the opportunity to enjoy a hot tub under the stars. The gardens and grounds are beautiful. Worth a visit to the cutting flower garden across the road. We also really enjoyed the opportunity to swim and kayak in the river. Breakfast hampers a great touch- delicious and beautifully presented. We also made use of ordering braii/ salads and veg which made self catering very easy indeed!

we had a great stay at Carmen's after having previously done the Edible Shores workshop. the boathouse was a super nice get away with a nice fireplace in beautiful surroundings with lots of beach walks and the Harold Porter Gardens nearby would definitely recommend. Carmen was incredibly friendly, proactive and always willing to help thanks Carmen

We had the most wonderful stay at Rivergate. The farm is gorgeous and peaceful and if you like these sort of environments, this place is for you. Our family enjoyed the beautiful interiors and exteriors and the hot tub was an utter hit with the kids. A highlight was the fresh breakfast basket delivered every morning. The farm has lots to enjoy from kayaks and canoes for the river, walks, flower picking and more. It was such a delight and I hope we can be back for a visit in the future. Our one negative was that we unfortunately had small bats nesting in the roof of our bedroom which disturbed us in the evenings. The Rivergate family was seeing to their removal so hopefully they won’t be a bother for anyone else. It’s a rural and beautiful setting so understandably you will share space with some creatures but this did not detract from the wonderful stay here.

fantastic little cottage in a very beautiful town. Everyone was friendly and the town was safe to walk around with our cats. The cottage is also very pet friendly and cosy, perfect for colder nights at the fireplace. the monthly market is a must if you visiting, try and plan to be there the end of the month to enjoy a great town get together, with live music, food, drinks and a great atmosphere and friendly residents. we had such a great time we started looking at buying a place in Stanford.

What a memorable stay in Hermanus, made more so by Marinda. Location was ideal. Quiet yet close to everything. The cottage was in a beautiful setting as Marinda's garden is breathtaking. Odie and I felt completely at home in the cottage, including interaction with neighbors! Marinda is a kind soul, always looking out for me and Odie. Cannot wait to visit again during whale season!

It is a great place with lots of kitchen equipment. Plenty of comfortable places to sit and relax with a good view of the sea. The bedrooms are comfortable and are both en-suite. The house is close to the cliff path that runs nexf to the sea all the way to down to the town centre. The path also leads to a number of swimming beaches within a 5 minute walk.

78 Beach Road is an absolutely beautiful place to stay. We stayed for 4 nights (2 adults and 1 teenager). It’s spacious, calm and has everything you need. We visited after a week in Cape Town so we’re ready to relax, with the ocean views and sound of the waves it was perfect. We enjoyed using the indoor Braai, the plunge pool in the garden and evening walks along the rock paths. There is so much to do in the area especially if you have a car including zip lines, shark/whale watching, hiking, beach days, penguins, botanical gardens, local wildlife and much more, it’s a beautiful landscape. The owner was very responsive when we had questions we all felt safe and comfortable. We would love to stay here again it was perfect.

A proper farm - protea flowers - but only 30 minute scenic drive to nearest large town (Stanford) and 15 minute drive to nearest small village. We (2 adults + 2 small dogs) enjoyed our walks, dips in the river ponds, and sunsets and sunrises, in short, a nice getaway. Lindsay was friendly, interesting and attentive, a great host.

Magic spot for humans and fur kids. The stone cottages are beautifully built and the surrounds are gorgeous. Private long distance walking trails. Great host. Highly recommend and will be back

Location, brilliant. Accommodation, 5 star. Host was genuine, generous, friendly, helpful and in simple words...wonderful. personal touches wgere added to make the stay unforgettable. The tranquility and quietness was key. Pet friendly and truly PET FRIENDLY. Loved it!

We had a super warm welcome by the lovely Annie. She shared some great tips on what to do in Hermanus. The airbnb was lovely, very cute and super clean.

The home was more than we expected...it provided everything we needed to enjoy are stay. The living areas were wonderful gathering places for family games, conversations, etc. The Lapa and braai area was so convenient to the well equipped kitchen. The close proximity to the ocean paths gave us a real sense of the beautiful natural surroundings. A place we would definitely return to.

The cottage was quaint and had everything you need for a compatible stay.The surroundings felt just like a country side and great for walking and exploring. The cottage had a homely feel. My husband shared his experience while staying over for a night. It was differently worth it :) Thank you
