With feature fireplaces and a wood burner It is the perfect base for exploring the Cotswolds and is only a 20 minute drive to Cheltenham. The cottage is only a couple of minutes walk from the local pub and the other restaurants in the village, including the Painswick Hotel, which serves afternoon tea, cocktails and offers a beautiful restaurant. We stayed for 3 nights at Isabel’s place in the peaceful hamlet of Caudle Green. We was met upon arrival by her delightful mother, Freddie, who let us in and showed us around. And who told us about local amenities. If you enjoy peace and quiet then this place is wonderful. Our 3 year old son also did not get bored with plenty of toys on offer. Beautiful cottage and garden. The stairs are a little tricky but manageable. All in all a great stay and we would love to return one day. Thanks for having us.

This was my third stay at Ellen’s Airbnb and once again, it was absolutely wonderful. The location is perfect—just a short stroll to the local pub and village shop, with beautiful walks right on the doorstep. It’s so peaceful and charming, and I always feel completely at home. I truly love staying at Ellen’s place and the lovely surroundings of Painswick. I’ll definitely be coming back again!
