Holiday rentals with a fireplace in Patrick County

My husband and I enjoyed our stay at Tracey’s place. It was homey and comfortable and convenient to the trails we wanted to hike and the wineries we wanted to visit. Especially enjoyed evenings on the back deck, watching the wildlife.

We really enjoyed our stay at this beautiful mountain house. The views are amazing, and Berit did a great job giving very clear instructions on how to navigate the mountain on the way up. She made sure ahead of time that we had vehicles suitable for the drive which was very appreciated. She checked in with us throughout the weekend just to make sure there was nothing we needed. The kitchen was fully stocked, plenty of towels/blankets available, and overall was just a wonderful stay. There is a winery, Chateau Morrisette, which was only about 15 minutes away that was really fun to visit, and Floyd is a very cute, friendly town. I would definitely stay here again. Only really need one word to describe this place - PERFECT. Everything about it was absolutely perfect. Everything was as describe, if not better. The communication was outstanding. The surroundings are amazing and breathtaking. My wife and I have done several trips into remote locations to get away and reset. Buffalo Bliss is hands down the best place we have been. Not only is the house and surroundings amazingly beautiful and exactly what we need, the town of Floyd is only about 15 minutes away and it is a super fun town. So much to do, place to eat, great local shops. It was just perfect. The entire property of Buffalo Bliss is well maintained. Even the gravel road to get to the house is exceptionally well maintained so no problem accessing the property at all. Once you are there, the deck, walking paths, pond, etc are magical and so peaceful. We can't wait to go back. The photos and reviews don't do it justice, you must experience it for yourself.

Gratitude View is an absolutely wonderful property -- the inside is beautifully and thoughtfully arranged with lovely furnishings and amenities. The hosts of this property thought of everything a guest might want. From fully-stocked coffee and tea bar, to games and puzzles and books, to throw blankets, to the clean and spacious layout, everything was there for a wonderful stay. And the view is spectacular. This is a really special spot and we give it our highest recommendation. In addition, the host was extremely communicative and accommodating, and gave us excellent local recommendations and was a delight to interact with. Having this house available at Thanksgiving was a highlight of the weekend. Thank you!

If you are looking for sheer serenity, porch swings, and spectacular views, book your stay at Porch and Pastures. This tastefully decorated home is squeaky clean, comes well equipped, and is inviting and comfortable. I can't say enough about the porch, we spent mornings there sipping our coffee and evenings enjoying our wine, making family memories. The family room space was a plus, the sofa beds are suitable for two, they are small. Don't forget your fishing poles, so much fun at the pond! Our family truly enjoyed our stay in this bucolic area!! While you are there, take the time to visit Chateau Morrisette Winery ...two miles away, spectacular views with a 5 star restaurant. Don't forget the town of Floyd, a true anomaly, about 20 mins from the house. Pat, the hostess is very responsive, and easy to work with.

The property and its location is something my wife, Tanya & I wanted to experience :) the beautiful Alpine Drive house, away from everyone and everything with full 180 degree view of the forest and mountains felt like we’re living in a postcard! The house is quite creative and well equipped with everything you can think of, including board games and two floor patio + views! It was just the 2 of us experiencing the luxury of the full house but highly recommend for families & their kids too! Just make sure you correctly follow the driving instructions and you’ll be fine. We hope to visit again in spring/summer and thank you again, Camille for having us.

This was our team’s third stay, and it continues to feel like a home away from home. The technicians really appreciate the comfortable, clean space and thoughtful touches that make working out of town much easier. Thanks again for everything!

This was the perfect little spot for our weekend. Close to the Parkway and several places to eat from fancy to low key within a few minutes. This is an older home that made me feel like I was at grandmas. I kept waiting to find something wrong but in the end will be going back for sure.

Cathy was super sweet. She let us check in early and I was so thankful! They introduced themselves and were so kind. House had easy check-in. You could hear some noises from upstairs during the day, but it wasn’t bad. Always quiet at night! Bed was soooo comfy too!

My son has thoroughly enjoyed his home away from home at Brenda’s place while attending college at Patrick & Henry’s Rwcing College of Virginia. He’ll be back next semester, too! Brenda and her family are wonderful hosts.

Just had a Fantastic, Restful, Peaceful stay at Country Blessing. The Photo’s not only are a 100% complete accurate portrayal of the space; it is even better in person. We found every room to be more spacious than the photos can show. The amount of square footage to move around is astounding. The Suite is super clean. It literally is brand new. The bed was extremely comfortable. There were actually so many amenities we didn’t get a chance to enjoy them all in our short stay. It was so quiet at night and exactly what we needed for our stay. We had a daughter and son in law graduating from VT and had numerous events to attend. We also had another daughter and family friend to visit in Christiansburg and getting back and forth to both places was a breeze. Tara was a fantastic Host. We would definitely stay there again.

We enjoyed our stay at The Mill! The suite was far more spacious than we expected. Be sure to sleep with the windows open because the sound of the river reminds you of the beautiful setting in this charming town. The bed was very comfortable and there’s even a sitting area in the bedroom. We enjoyed morning coffee in front of the picture windows that provided a stunning view. We loved the restoration story and handmade features. Marcia was very easy to communicate with and made sure we were comfortable.

My wife and I were in need of a pit-stop on our 11 hour road trip, and we sure are glad that we requested to book at Susan and Tom's. They are very kind people and were very responsive in communications. The inside was clean and very spacious, even moreso than the photos appear. The garden and surrounding nature was so beautiful and peaceful. Susan and Tom were so kind to provide coffee, snacks, and even breakfast in the morning. Delicious muffins, pound cake, and fresh fruit! We would definitely stay here again and recommend to others. We wish we had a couple more days to explore the area!

Our stay at the Roost was very pleasant. We especially enjoyed the river access and hung out down there a couple of times. One of our favorite things was the lack of a TV. It added to the unplugged rustic experience we enjoy. Thank you Michael for sharing your space with us.

Brenda and Gordon have a great place! Their home is beautiful and they were very welcoming. They gave me a tour of the property which has acres and acres of trails to walk with cows, goats, horses, wild deer, wild turkey...it was amazing! Definitely a great place to get away. The wifi worked well for working remotely and it is 15 minutes from town with many restaurants and shops. It is also only 30-45 minutes to some great mountain biking and hiking trails. Highly recommend!

We truly enjoyed our stay and the amenities provided. We were able to ride our bicycles on the New River Trail in Galax. This was our second stay at Brian’s place and he excels in providing excellent amenities. The facilities were exceptionally clean and everything we needed was provided.
