Kid-friendly holiday rentals in Penang Island

We had a wonderful 2-night stay. The house is spacious and exactly as shown in the photos. With three toddlers in tow, we truly appreciated how much room they had to roam freely indoors. The big compound was a bonus — we brought inflatable pools and the kids had a blast ! The interior is beautiful and cosy, perfect for our gathering with friends. There was plenty of space to hang out and catch up. Everything was spotless — the whole place was very clean and well maintained. Parking was hassle-free even though we came with four cars. The price was a great deal for what we got. Eric was a responsive and helpful host, and the check-in/check-out process was smooth. We had zero issues throughout our stay. If we could suggest one small improvement, it would be to have a mirror in every room — especially for the ladies getting ready 😊 Other than that, everything was superb and exceeded our expectations, especially considering the price. Amazing place for a group of friends and well-kept pre war terrance that preserve the essence of old Penangite lifestyle. The location is convenient, some attractions in Georgetown are within walking distance and the host is very responsive. Thank you for hosting us.

i think ive stayed here four times now. great place and location. its tranquil in a busy area. i only wish i rained when I stayed again as it's wonderful when it does. serves me right for coming in the dry times.

Stayed here with a big group and it accommodated all of us nicely. Excellent location as it was right at the heart of town. Also appreciated the flexibility Heng gave us with checking out. Would definitely recommend!

Excellent in every way. Where do I start… the location cannot be beat. Armenian street is THE George Town street to see, and it’s walking distance to many amazing restaurants, hawkers centers, boutique shops, street artworks, and other attractions like the esplanade and large shopping malls. The home itself has a very peaceful feel, oozing with oldtown charm, tastefully furnished, and very spacious. The beds are comfortable, the aircon is excellent, the hot/cold filtered water machine is super convenient, and the washer/dryer works well. Things to note: The bathroom ceiling is quite low- if you’re over 5’10” you’ll be stooped over, but they provide a shower seat. There is an atrium in the middle of the home that is open to the floor below and the shop on the ground floor. This is no issue, but something to be aware of if you have toddlers like us that are, at times, difficult to keep calm and quiet.

I like this homestay very much, it's very photogenic, it's not close to the main road, it's very quiet at night, but the mosque nearby will chant at 5am, this is probably a problem that all homestays in the old city have.You can walk 10 minutes in the morning to see the sunrise at the surname bridge, and the mural street is also within a 10-minute walk.There are three bedrooms and two bathrooms, perfect for large families or groups of friends.The stairs to the second floor are a little steep, but my parents, who are 70+, can go up and down, no problem.When we checked in, the housekeeper helped us to move our luggage upstairs, and when we left, they delayed our check-out until 2 o'clock.The room air conditioner is Panasonic, and the air conditioning is very powerful, which is especially important in the hot and humid Penang.The room has two bathrooms and two shower rooms, one on the first floor and one on the second floor.The shower room and washroom on the second floor are on the outdoor terrace and can only be reached through a door. It is slightly inconvenient at night. The neighborhood is safe, and there is no problem going to the terrace at night.

It was an ideal choice for a family-friendly retreat, and we would happily return in the future. Highly recommended for anyone looking to explore Penang with the comfort of a home away from home.

It was my first visit in Penang and the apartment made it even more memorable. Five of us, my parents, my wife and I, plus my son. We stayed comfortably and found all we need already provided. the location is prime for Penang. Very close to the malls and easy access to everywhere else. Highly recommended. Would come back. The swimming pool a bit chilly. But there are plenty of outdoor activities acroas the street.

I had a great stay at Alex's place in George Town. The room looked exactly as listed-clean, comfortable, and just as described in the photos. Check-in was super easy thanks to the clear and detailed instructions, and Alex was very responsive whenever I had questions. Would definitely recommend.

Place is peaceful, very clean and a lot of amneties. Easy to check in. Host also very communicative. Worth to stay especially with family.

A great apartment in a great location. The apartment quickly became our home away from home for our three week stay. We loved sitting out on the spacious verandah in the afternoons after a swim. The couple of maintenance issues we found on entry were addressed very quickly by Asmah and Hazwan. A WiFi/video issue crept in later in our stay, but we just watched less TV. The complex and its surroundings made walking a pleasure. We loved the 10min walk around the foreshore to get groceries at the nearby Lotus supermarket. A 2 ringgit airconditioned bus trip into Georgetown could be hailed immediately out side the complex. Our only disappointment during our stay had nothing to do with the apartment. To its credit the marina complex had many fine restaurants, albeit with menus that could be found in any city in the world, but as an ex Penangite my wife (and I) were disappointed with the complete lack of nearby hawker food stalls, which Penang is famous for.

OMG, this place was so awesome, I am second guessing my condo purchase up the island. This was the best Airbnb place we have ever stayed at, bar none. So convenient to all of the hawker centers and the shopping malls. Thank you. It was truly our honor that you let us stay here.

loved that everything worked and was as described. the large window in my room is a really nice and it was very clean too! loved that there's a toilet for each room, which made it really convenient for my friend and I. 10/10 would book here again.

We had a fantastic stay - after a long day of travelling it was a delight to enter into this beautiful home. The views are incredible (we caught an early sunrise) and the thoughtful touches such as the local snacks were really appreciated. Very easy to get a Grab into different areas of Georgetown.

We had a wonderful 2 nights stay and the place was amazing. Superb value for money and the host was very helpful and response to my queries promptly. Clear instructions were given for check-in and check-out. Overall we loved this homestay and my kids really enjoyed the infinity pool. We definitely will be back again!
