Kid-friendly holiday rentals in Penarth

Had a wonderful stay at Janine’s place very cosy and homely. Very clean with a nice comfy bed and a good welcome hamper. We were staying for a wedding at St Fagans so the location was ideal and the local taxis service was brilliant. Highly recommend Janine’s place to stay.

Fantastic little place, absolutely immaculate and beautifully presented. Absolutely superb value, given the cost the house was far nicer than expected. Joys communication was fantastic from start to finish, concise and responsive. All in all a superb host and a fantastic property.

We enjoyed our stay. The house is comfortable. It’s on a quiet street but easily walkable to plenty of lovely cafes in the centre of Penarth and to the Esplanade and Pier. It’s also close to the train station into Cardiff, so made a great base for exploring the area.

Suzanne's place was the perfect choice for our family, taking my elderly parents away is not always straightforward but here we had two downstairs bedrooms with walk in shower (and shower seat) in the bathroom next door to the bedrooms, everything on the level and good parking near the door. The upstairs bedrooms had en-suites and a lovely view over the rooftops to the sea. It's easy to get to Cardiff, Penarth and Barry and we had a lovely day at the Duffryn Gardens (National Trust). Everything was super clean and the decor was simple but classy. The beds were really comfy too. I'm sure we'll be coming back.

Excellent host and a lovely house. Stylishly decorated and spotlessly clean, this was perfect. The host was really helpful, going above and beyond and I had a really good stay there. Only a short drive into Cardiff centre and it was very close to several sporting venues for me. Would highly recommend.

The annex is very convenient. We were 2 couples, and had enough space (one double room + 1 bed in the living room, as mentioned). On arriving, everything was set ready. The instructions were very clear. Sasha was very thoughtful and gave us recommandations for our trip, very helpful. We were offered many snacks in a mini fridge, which we enjoyed ! The house is at Sullly, accessible from Cardiff by bus, although we founded it more convenient to take a taxi (20pounds, 20min). Overall a great stay for a couple of days, thanks to our hosts' thoughtfulness !

Great place definitely stay again

Great stay. First things first: the views are stunning. The flat is bigger than I expected and is perfect for a family of 4. The flat is well equipped and with all you need for your stay like salt, pepper, tea, coffee, soap, even some toiletries and kitchen supplies like cling film etc (big thank you for that!) which means you can arrive with just your suitcase. Only missing thing is a dishwasher but we weren’t cooking complex meals. Parking in the street is fine but you might have to tour neighbouring streets for a spot. Over all we had a great time and would highly recommend the place.

I had a lovely last-minute stay at Liz’s place — it was absolutely perfect for a quiet night away. It had everything and more needed for it. The space was spotless, cozy, and exactly what I needed. Liz was so friendly and welcoming, which made the whole experience even better. I would 100% return. Highly recommend!

We had a couple of relaxing days at Christine's place. It was clean, the bed was comfortable and everything we needed was provided. There are also some nice restaurants close by. I would definitely stay again

Apartment was exactly as it was shown and described. Fantastic view and position perfect for us. Walk into the city along the river was pleasant and easy, likewise the bridge over to the lovely restaurants etc in the Bay. We will definitely book this apartment again when visiting Cardiff. Very helpfull, good communication, great suggestions and most of all, a lovely house. The initial form filling and deposit providing on their own platform was kind of jarring and a bit of a hassle but I guess thats how they maintain it so well and it was well worth the state of the place. Would 100% recommend, dont let the form filling stop you!

Property is on 2nd floor overlooking the river, exactly as shown in the description. Secure access with clean lift. My daughter and I found it was exactly what we needed in Cardiff for the weekend to see the ODI between England and the West Indies. 15 minutes walk to Cardiff Bay gave us plenty on choice of eateries. Local taxis were excellent and not too expensive would recommend Veezu app. We would be more than happy to use Stuart’s apartment in the future.

We had a fantastic stay at this lovely apartment in Cardiff! The place was spotlessly clean, beautifully decorated, and had everything we needed for a comfortable visit. The location couldn’t have been better as you’re in walking distance to Cardiff bay and Cardiff centre! Tony was absolutely wonderful—friendly, incredibly responsive, and genuinely helpful throughout our stay. It made a real difference knowing we could reach out with any questions and get a prompt, kind response. All in all, we couldn’t have asked for a better experience and would absolutely stay here again. Highly recommend!

Mark the host very helpful and Sue friendly and full of local info. Got to say after using AB&B for a few years this is one of the most attractive and comfortable we have stayed at. We spent a few days cycling and relaxing, local bus service conveniently available adjacent to the apartment. Local pubs a bit of a walk but food and drinks available at both. Look forward to staying again.

Jason’s place was wonderfully appointed with all of the amenities you would hope for. It was extremely clean, and in a great neighborhood minutes walk from restaurants and stores. Check in and out was very smooth. Highly recommend!

The Pad is a wonderful place to stay in a really nice area. The apartment is immaculate and has a beautifully curated art deco interior. The space has everything you need, Jane really has thought of everything. We felt relaxed in the space; the gorgeous views from the balcony and visits from Mr Hopkins were an added bonus. We both said that we had never stayed in an AirBnB that was so good before. Jane knew it was our anniversary and very thoughtfully added some special extras. We will definitely be back when we return to Cardiff! Cardiff centre is easily accessible by public transport, or on foot (about 30 mins). The local area has a great selection of shops and restaurants, as well as a lovely park.

This accommodation exceeded our expectations. Lovely quiet location perfect for our personal needs. It was spotlessly clean and the walk in shower with a seat was perfect as well. We could not fault anything about it. Thoughtful touches included biscuits, butter, jam and marmalade in the fridge and soap and shower gell in the bathroom. Simply excellent in every way. Very cosy apartment in a great part of the city. Comfortable with all of the amenities needed for a short break. Louisa was a great host and communicated everything we needed to know.

This was a wonderful place to stay. Kevin gave us clear and easy instructions to get in the apartment, and it was in a perfect location - walk out the front door and you're bang in city centre. We went to Cardiff to see a gig in the Utilita arena which was literally a 2 min walk away. The apartment itself is huge and beautifully presented. Highly recommended and if I'm in Cardiff again I'll know where to look for accommodation. Thanks Kevin!
