Holiday rentals in Pickerel Lake

Spice's cottage was the perfect getaway. We enjoyed the everything about it. The lake is quite shallow for a fair distance off the shore so the water was a good temperature for early June. It's 20 minutes to Burkes Falls, 40 minutes to Huntsville which we are quite familiar with. We would definitely look to book again in the future.

We stayed at the Stillwater Cottages over the thanksgiving long weekend and the location and tiny house are just perfect. Amazing place if you are looking for some peace and quiet and want to be close to nature. We absolutely loved it! Thanks so much.

The Happy Place was a beautiful, quaint cabin with all the essentials for a peaceful nature getaway. Katie and Dave were thoughtful and proactive in providing check-in information and recommendations for things to do in the area. The cabin had tons of charming details, was extremely well kept and offered a lot of privacy. Weather and prior engagements kept us from enjoying the outdoor amenities (sauna, fire pit, kayaks) but we did enjoy throwing on a movie from their great collection. We would certainly come again to this picturesque cabin.

Amazing cottage and great hosts. Early check-in time at 11 am! Late check-out time (the host said we could leave any time and stay as late as we like) - this was the best! Usually hosts require early check-out from a cottage which is super inconvenient - but here you can stay as long as you want and actually enjoy your last day. A bottle of wine and a thank you card upon arrival! The cottage is amazing: super comfortable, the bathroom is great, modern shower, kitchen is very well stocked (so many dishes, glasses, utensils, everything) - above and beyond other cottages. The location is private with a gorgeous view of Pickerel like, private dock, several sitting areas so you can move between them with the sun throughout the day, beautiful area to make the fire. We loved kayaks and 2 standup paddle boards, plenty of life vests. Starlink wifi worked great. Great hosts, so responsive at all times before and during the stay when we had questions. We loved this cottage!

Great stay! The place had everything we needed and more. It was clean. Furniture and decoration was charming and well thought-out. Jamie and Brian were great hosts - very friendly, welcoming and gave us great recommendations for the area, they were also very responsive and made sure we had everything we needed. The area is very peaceful, the cabin is well-maintained with beautiful direct views of the lake. You can tell the hosts put a lot of effort into making the experience comfortable and enjoyable. Would definitely come back whenever we need an escape from the city!

This is my second time at Hill crest Cottage. I really love the rustic charm and decor. The cottage is partially constructed from old barn beams and walls, and filled with old farm relics. You feel like you're stepping into history. Despite this, the cottage boasts all the conveniences. Everything was included. Norma-June even provided snacks, bottled water and a chilled bottle of wine. Trust me when I say you won't need to bring a thing. The area is peaceful and relaxing, and there is plenty to do just a short drive away. Note for those who are interested in astronomy: These are some of the darkest skies I've ever seen. Norma-June is an excellent, responsive host. My second day there, i was stunned to find that my car died. She sent her son from Hunstville to give me a boost. She goes way above and beyond the call. Thanks so much Norma-June, for such a wonderful, relaxing time!

Walker’s Haven is an absolute stunner!!! We came up for a girls weekend and fell in love with it instantly. The interior is gorgeous, just like the photos show, and so cozy while being spacious at the same time. But our favourite feature was the outdoor space The location of the fire pit with its string lights, the second deck by the water, the spacious dock… the whole layout is perfect. The lake is gorgeous, clear and just so peaceful. Also great for fishing! We had a great time, despite not having the best weather, and we hope to come back again! Thank you for sharing your beautiful space with us!

Absolutely loved our stay at Beaver Point Cottages! The place is cute, quiet, and in a perfect location right on the water. The hosts were incredibly helpful—we ran out of propane for the BBQ and had a new tank delivered within minutes. Couldn’t ask for better service. 10/10 recommend and would definitely come back! Thanks for everything!
