Kanervankukka, Luhtalemmikki and Raapion Mateli were built from logs in the early 2000s. Kanervankukka and Mateli are located about 17 km south of the center of Lieksa and Mateli in the village of Vuonislahden. The distance across the lake to Koli is 7-15 km. The distance from Joensuu is about 80 km and Vuonislahde can also be reached by train.
