There are historic towns to explore nearby, and the river Vienne is a short walk through the village.

Set in the heart of Verteuil a petite citie de caractere in the Charente we welcome you to Ma jolie petite maison, a one double bedroomed gite that sleeps 4. The building is over 200 years old and has been completely refurbished in 2024. With exposed stone walls and original fireplaces, lit by vintage French chandeliers and tasteful wall lights, the gite is both cosy and comfortable. During your stay you will have exclusive use of the heated swimming pool and a large Moroccan style barn.

La maison dispose de 3 chambres: 2 avec grands lits une avec deux lits de 90. Le canapé convertible permet un couchage pour deux personnes. Le jacuzzi sera fermé du 05 janvier 2026 au 01 mars 2026. Le gite possède également un Appartement : possibilité de louer l'ensemble si les dates réservées le permettent.

Le studio Laïka pour 2 personnes (4 si enfants en bas âge ou pour une nuit !) possède un lit double en mezzanine sous rampant et un canapé lit convertible. Cuisine équipée (cafetière, grille-pain, bouilloire, four micro-ondes), salle de douche avec sèche serviette. Chaise haute bébé, jouets. Poêle à bois à ravitailler. Netflix. There are no other guests on the property. There are beautiful walks on the doorstep with a Medieval Millhouse on the Charente river 300 metres away and chemins stretching for miles around the area. The beautiful old Abbey Town of Charroux is 8 Kms distant and we are within half an hour of Civray, Ruffec & Confolens.

La Perdrix gite is deceptively spacious (60 sqm) blending charm and character with original beams and exposed stone walls. Ideal for 2 but can accommodate up to 4 people comfortably. Ground floor: main bedroom with king size bed, bathroom, kitchen, living/dining room. Upstairs: 1 double bed on the mezzanine. All linen and bathroom towels provided. The private terrace is equipped with table, chairs & parasol overlooking the amazing heated pool and countryside beyond. Sorry no pets.
