In 2022 we renovated it with respect to its traditional style, into a spacious idyllic guesthouse for 2+1 people, fully adapted to the traditional community of Makrinitsa, and yet providing modern amenities. Mountain cottage overlooking the sea

On the lushly green Mount Pelion, in an authentic village, our house combines access to the sea (10 km) and ski resort area (7 kms). It can serve as a base for walking or driving to the many pictureque villages and beaches of this mountain. The house includes a garden with shady trees, also cherries and apricots in their season, and is only two minutes away from a mini market, restaurant, pharmacie and the wonderful square. Fully equipped and provided with maps and books about the region.

The house stands in the historic village of Portaria Pelion and it is about 500 m. from the central square. It's altitude is 630m., and has a spectacular view to Pagasitikos and the town of Volos. You can enjoy this view not only from the balcony but also inside the house. Furthermore the Ski Centre of Pelion is only 14km. far and the city of Volos 12km. Last but not least the beautiful beaches of Pelion are located in 31km. from Portaria.

The chalet consists of two floors and a very large garden (1000 m2). Only the ground floor (consisting of 2 bedrooms, hallway, kitchen, bathroom) is rented at this price and the upper floor is not accessible butwill not be rentedout to other guests during your stay. The whole chalet (both floors) is available for rent and is presented on the airbnb platform under the brand name “Orfeas Chalet”

Makrinitsa Alonia

In the traditional village of Makrinitsa, going uphill and walking 200m of paved road, you will find yourself in the fountain of Tsoni. Next to it is the fully renovated stone house that is ideal for spending moments of tranquility and relaxation while gazing at the panoramic view that is generously offered to you. A simple, austere space, as befits a village in Pelion.
