Holiday rentals with lake access in Powys

well what can I say, what a beautiful house in a lovely area. We as a family all had comfortable rooms spread out over various areas of the house. The kitchen was well equipped which made it easy to cook for our large family. I would definitely recommend this lovely home for group get togethers.

A beautiful place, exceeded our expectations. We booked in order to go to the Hay festival, but were so glad we made time to explore around Treberydd, amazing house and garden and easy access to footpaths, lake and pretty church. Hafod has everything we needed, plus comfy beds and tasteful decor Lambs, goats and alpacas a bonus! Sally and Hugh are great hosts, would definitely recommend.

Our trip comprised of 4 adults and 2 reactive dogs. We loved how we could walk a few yards to get to a bridle path to let them off the lead, or if we wanted to we could walk a bit further to the field where the trees are planted. This was a great place to be able to let them out and have a good run around and not meet anyone. The house was easy to get to once we found our bearings. If you miss the turn off.... reverse and go back otherwise you end going up a farm track that has no passing point! The house was very comfortable, spacious and warm. We went to lake vrymy, waterfalls, chirk, Whittington Castle, llangollen, pontysciliate aquaduct. All were within about 40 minute drive. This house is in farm country so don't expect pavements, but you can walk on the verges and there's minimal traffic. I think I counted seeing a total of 5 cars in the 4 days we were there. There are no shops or pubs in easy walking distance but within easy reach by car.

Lovely stay in the Smithy! The owner created a wonderful place with many original features, and the accommodation was spotless clean. Dominique and her family are kind hosts, very helpful and reachable if needed. The market town Llanidloes is just a five minutes drive away, where one can find a superb bakery and shop for local products. All in all, a very good position to explore Mid-Wales and the bordering regions. Peaceful and calm, a truly beautiful place. Don't forget to book a tour at the Welsh Mountain Cider!

I loved everything about this place, the bed was very comfy and the location was perfect. The bath and shower are wonderful and so is the soap and shower gel and linens available. I loved the eco friendly toilet paper too. Two points to note: there was no chopping board I could see? Fortunately most of my food was already prepared so it was not a big deal. And I believe it is the hot water tank that makes a noise intermittently? So, if you're a light sleeper like me, you'll need ear plugs despite being in very quiet and peaceful countryside. I loved my stay here it was very special and I would stay again when visiting the brecons!

Mike's listing was the perfect place to stay in Gilwern. Right in the center of town, it was convenient and walkable. The setup of the house was perfect for our needs.

This house is beautiful. The views from the amazing hot tub are to die for. Everything was spotless and had everything that you would need. Extremely comfortable and we felt right at home from the moment we arrived. Angela and her husband gave us a warm welcome on our arrival and we knew we could ask them anything if we had needed. The pool table is a great touch, we sent the majority of our Saturday night playing. We will definitely visit again as we absolutely loved it.

My wife and I stayed here for a long weekend while she took part in the Big Bala Swim. Nigel's place was absolutely perfect for what we needed with more than enough room for the two of us. The kitchen had everything we needed and it was lovely to have a bath at the end of the day! The lake is beautiful and the shore is only a 5 minute walk away. All in all we loved our time here and would definitely recommend it to anyone else.

Second time staying at Emma’s lovely cottage and this trip was just as amazing as the first No doubt I’ll be back again soon Must see if you like quiet little villages in the middle of the countryside

We recently stayed at Lake View Cottage and had a truly relaxing experience. The surroundings were absolutely beautiful, with stunning views of the lake and peaceful, natural scenery all around. The cottage had a lovely sense of privacy, making it feel like our own little retreat. The swimming pool was a big hit, especially with the kids—they had a blast! It was the perfect mix of comfort and tranquility. Highly recommend for anyone looking to unwind and enjoy quality time with family.

We had a lovely stay and the cottage and location were perfect. The cottage was well equipped, comfortable and in beautiful surroundings. Not far from Oswestry or Welshpool, there was lots to explore locally and as well as a bit further into Wales. Brilliant place and would highly reccomend it for a getaway.

We had an amazing stay with our LO at the cottage. The steam railway is 4 min away on foot as well as the lake is in very close proximity. The host is lovely and very responsive. It is so quiet at night, we slept like logs!

Quintessential Welesh countryside home. Ideal spot to commute around Wales. Would thoroughly recommend for medium sized groups. Lots to explore around here home as well + convenient BBQing

Four of us and 3 dogs had a wonderful stay at Pentbont Barn. Jayne and Phillipo were responsive and flexible, the barn itself was lovely and perfect for our getaway and Llangorse is a beautiful village, with a stunning lake and beautiful walks. We would highly recommend 😊
