Historical farmer's house in nature Kāŗkliņi

Kārkliņi was built in 1892 Kārkliņi were wealthy farmers who owned a horse stable, as well as cows, pigs and other animals as they were an integral part of the farm at the time! In 1979 the house was bought from Kārkliņi by my grandmother Zigrīda Stungure who was once a brilliant actress at the Daile Theater, She and her husband Jānis used the house as a summer's residence In 2013 I took over Kārkliņi. For the past 10 years, I have returned the house to its original form as it was in 1920

When I refurbished the place, my aim was to create a place to relax, read or hideaway to focus on work. Located in the neighbourhood, where all the city life is just a 5-10 minutes walk away and at the same time, it does not feel as city at all as the forest and river walk is just around the corner. Each bedroom has two single beds that can be transformed into a double bed. Or alternatively - a double bed in each bedroom can be transformed into 2 single beds.
