Situated in the Groenfontein Valley just outside Calitzdorp in the Klein Karoo, this cottage offers a peaceful countryside stay with views of the Swartberg Mountains, minutes from the Calitzdorp wine route and Route 62. Designed for quiet evenings, warm fires, and slow days without a plan. Guests often underestimate how easily time slips by here — two nights quickly turn into a wish for a third. Whether by the fire inside or under the stars outside, this is a stay measured in days, not hours.

Our property is Loadshedding free. Modern styled, clean and well equipped cottage ideal for a small family or friends traveling together. The cottage is located in the middle of Oudtshoorn, a 10 minute walk from town centre. Oudtshoorn is famous for its Ostriches, Swartberg Mountain Pass, and Cango Caves. But don’t neglect the beautiful attractions such as the Meiringspoort Waterfall, scenic drive through Matjiesrivier, and unique Karoo wine farms. A minimum two night stay is highly recommended!

Located on a hectare of farmland in Prince Albert, with privacy, peace and security, within walking distance to restaurants, shops and museum. Children are welcome, making it an ideal getaway for a family, or for 2 couples travelling together. Aircon, swimming pool and braai facilities, fireplace for winter. Electricity is solar-powered and grid. Two double en-suites make it comfortable, an additional suite available [Acacia Annexe, book separately]. North facing verandah for afternoon sunsets.

Kom Kyk Cottage is a charming self-catering cottage in the quiet Karoo village of Merweville. Once an original general store, it’s been lovingly restored with antique furnishings and true Karoo character (although some say it feels like Greece). The cottage sleeps 4 guests in 2 bedrooms and offers a fully equipped kitchen, cozy lounge, free Wi-Fi, and shaded parking. Enjoy sunset views whilst having a braai and lie on the outside beds to gaze at the stars.

Matjiesvlei Cottages - The Stables

Die Stalle, was originally built as the residences for two owners of undivided shares in the land bordering the Kleinrivier. It has now been restored into a comfortable 3 bedroomed cottage with a beautiful view of the valley and mountains. During the summer you can cool off in the nearby farm dam, or go for a swim in the river at the private picnic site.
