Place was so well done- had all the amenities we needed, decorated nicely, and very spacious! A real gem in the heart of a darling small town.

The apartment was just perfect for my needs. It’s very clean, well stocked and the beds are super comfortable . Even though it’s at a business location, the unit is on the opposite side, with a nice private walkway. The weather was extremely cold during my stay but the apartment was cozy and warmed quickly with an easy to operate electric hvac system. Mark, the host, is very responsive and was great to communicate with. It was a pleasant and worry free stay!

We had a great 2 night stay for 4 adults. The house was spacious, very clean, quiet, and the beds were super comfortable. The location was easy to get to, and it is fairly close to both Starved Rock and Mathiessen. We will definitely be back!!

I booked this trip on a whim needing a weekend away, and it had just come up! Nancy was a great host. She was very inviting and hospitable. I loved learning about the history of “Dana’s Retreat”. The cabin was cozy, clean, and comforting! I loved relaxing. I also loved going to visit the animals! If you need some time to clear your head or enjoy the space with loved ones, this will not disappoint! I promise you will want to come back.
