Holiday rentals with a fire pit in Putnam County

It was our first time in Charleston, and this space was the perfect home base for all of our adventures. Unfortunately, there are times when you arrive at a place and the pictures and/or description don't quite match up to what you experience, but not Austin's home! What you see in the beautiful pictures is exactly what you get and honestly - maybe even then some. The spaces were spotless, loads of little extra touches that help you to feel at home, right down to a water hose in the backyard which came in super handy after some of our muddy adventures. We did quite a bit of cooking at the house, and found that the kitchen had everything that we needed right down to awesome grill tools.

very nice place with a lovely back patio to sit and watch the river go by. Hot tub was nice and we all were happy with the inside the house thank you all for letting us use your home.

Our trip was wonderful though we was dealing with Children and Dogs. Nicole checked up on us often. Our dogs loved the area. Our one daughter thought it was " Our new house". Overall, great for familys that want to visit the Galla County area and want to get away from busy life and light pollution.

Lori was a great host! She sent us local recommendations before our stay, told us everything we needed to know before arriving, and even left us a little treat on the counter. She was quick to respond and very kind in every message she sent! The house itself was exactly as pictured, the road leading up to it wasn’t perfect for sedans but we made do - another thing Lori warned us about 😅 it had been raining so that likely didn’t help either! It was easy to let ourselves into the house, the bathroom was stocked, everything was clean, the kitchen and living space were cozy and the lofted bed area was great too. The view from the front porch was awesome, we loved seeing the river. At night we saw several bats flying around too, which we loved! Checkout instructions were simple, and the checkout time wasn’t too early. Overall we had a lot of fun here and this was the perfect way to end our day!

Cute place that was super clean and full of character! My parents and I stayed overnight in Charleston to see Mountain Stage and Billinda's place was perfect. It is close to downtown and located in a quiet neighborhood. Billinda went above and beyond to write a personal welcome note, turn up the air conditioner before we arrived and left some tasty snacks that are unique to this area. It was fun to explore the antiques, games and other interesting items throughout the house. We also enjoyed sipping coffee on the back porch in the morning and reading through the local magazines she provides to learn more about Charleston and this part of W. Virginia. It is a unique experience and we would definitely stay again.

Beth was an amazing host, was responsive and helpful to all our questions and needs. Place was beautiful with plenty of room.

Tammy's Place was Great We really enjoyed it , Just as they said ,we had a Great time in it ,, she responded very quickly , we would absolutely stay there again , Clean , Neat , has everything you need and great location

We had a great stay at Carl’s place! The house was perfectly located for our needs—clean, comfortable, and welcoming with a modern feel throughout. Carl was an excellent communicator and made everything seamless from start to finish. Highly recommend!

We loved our stay. Everything was as described, although a few more pictures and a more detailed amenity list would have been helpful. Kitchen was supplied adequately. It's very spacious. Game table was very cool if wanting to play poker. Tabitha answered questions before the trip and handled a situation that came up the first night very promptly. We enjoyed watching the family of groundhogs from the upstairs deck. We were there to ride ATVs. Ivy Branch trailhead is just a few minutes away. We were also able to easily ride to Hobet mine.

Sarah is a great host!! If something goes wrong, she sees that it gets fixed ,even if it’s at night. I will stay any time Her place is available when I go to Charleston!

The place was easy to find with lots of parking for trailers and toys. It had easy access to the Ivy Branch trails and it's located about 30 minutes from the new Tornado trailhead. We had a great time staying there and would come back again.

Myrna was a pleasure to work with. The apartment was just as described and was very clean and comfortable. I will definitely stay here again. Great place! Great host! What more could you ask for?

Wonderful location in central Gallipolis!!! All of Beth’s properties are so thoughtfully curated, decorated and clean!! We loved our stay and will be back!

this was our THIRD visit to Tackett's Hideaway! Tackett's has became our home away from home. we have visited other places but always end up back at the container! we spent hours fishing. we caught several fish. if you love to relax and fish this is the best place to do it. the fire pit was awesome to use in the evenings. there is also a John boat to take out if you want. the hot tub is always great at the end of the day to look at the stars! just pack your bags and go! they have everything ready for you! from dishes,wood for fire pit,boat,and games! we leave a new game for the next guest Everytime we go in hopes it will help bring some laughs to someone enjoying our favorite place!

Man what can I say that hasn’t already been said, Earls farm is a little slice of heaven in this very loud world. I stayed for a week for work and after long day nothing was better then sitting out in the chair and enjoying the view. The WiFi is not that great up there but that should be obvious do to it location. I highly recommend if you want a peaceful getaway Earl’s place is the way to go!

Mary Beth’s listing was a great place to stay! It was very spacious and easily had room for two families. We loved the activities in the garage and made use of the hot tub and pool table. The master shower was amazing as well as the tub! We would definitely stay here again

We stayed at this Christmas tree farm turned into an Airbnb. We absolutely loved it. The location is amazing and the property is kept up very well. This is a perfect location if you are looking to leave city leave. There is zero light pollution in the area which makes for a great stay

This was a very nice place with a great host. We enjoyed the peace and quiet of the place. They were good with our dog and made him feel at home as well. Breakfast was so yummy and awesome over all 10 out of 10

We stayed here for an anniversary trip and loved it. Loved the view of the Christmas lights on the walk bridge and town park, and the sound of the waterfall. We had one small issue and owners were very quick to resolve that. Would totally recommend this for a relaxing place to stay.

This cabin was everything we were looking for—cozy, quiet, and absolutely beautiful. Tucked away in a peaceful setting, it offered the perfect escape from the chaos of everyday life. The interior was warm and welcoming, with thoughtful touches that made it feel like a home away from home. Whether we were sipping coffee on the porch or relaxing by the fire, every moment was calm and restful. The host was incredibly responsive and made sure we had everything we needed throughout our stay. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience—highly recommend and can’t wait to come back!

My friends and I rented this property as a getaway for the 1 year anniversary of the loss of my friend's partner. This rental was truly lovely and relaxing. We found the property very clean and the beds/couches were comfortable. It was very private and we loved getting to use the ATVs. It's hard to be sad when you're ATVing and hot tubbing with your best friends. The property was also very close to many of the Mothman attractions we came to town for. We would definitely stay again. And Spooky the cat was so friendly. We are a bunch of animal-lovers, so he was a welcome friend during our stay.

The solitude was awesome and refreshing. The home was amazing. The view and quiet was a welcome change to where I usually stay during work. I will be inquiring about this property next year.

Great as usual! Some a perfect spot to spend time with friends, hang by the water, and have a campfire. And Rebeccas very good at replying if there do happen to be any problems (although this time we were dandy 😀)
