Holiday rentals with a fire pit in West Virginia

This place is AMAZING! So many fun things to do! The hot tub in the cave was mind blowing, we loved it! Our 6yr old enjoyed feeding and petting the bunnies and chickens! Fishing was so much fun! Ken was an amazing host and responded very quickly! !!5 STARS!! ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️

Fun place to stay with my 3 teen boys. It was so much fun playing the board games and driveway Monopoly. The details of the home are amazing. You can tell a lot of work went into decorating. We very much appreciated the blackout curtains for a good rest! It is a safe, quiet area. My son was even able to jog in the cemetery next door each evening without issue. When you’re not at the house, the surrounding area has so much to do. The hiking trails are beautiful. My kids loved the Ace Adventure Waterpark and the Bridge Walk, all a very short drive away. We interacted with Nate several times at the property and he was very friendly and offered many recommendations. They were very responsive to any questions we had and offered tons of information through automated messages during the trip.

The place was beautiful and clean and the location was great! The hosts were extremely helpful and hospitable. Wonderful recommendations for nearby hikes and restaurants. We had a fantastic stay and will be back!

This home and its location is beautiful. The hot tub is a great bonus after hiking and whitewater rafting! Nathan what's incredible to work with and always available!

We had an enjoyable family trip. We especially enjoyed the game space. The house was very clean and well stocked with the little things easily missed when packing. They answered my questions quickly and were very accommodating. I would go again and recommend to me friends. It is important to note their suggestion to arrive in a truck or SUV as the gravel road up the mountain could be challenging in a smaller vehicle. But is definitely worth the drive. We really enjoyed our stay. The view from the deck is absolutely incredible at sunrise. It’s about a 25 minute drive to town where we enjoyed mulling around at the unique local shops and checking out the Roman baths. Jacqueline also did a great job communicating her expectations for our tidying things up upon departure. Thank you!

We had an amazing weekend here. The cabin is perfect for a relaxing getaway and is equipped with everything you may need. Having a grill and outdoor fire pit available was a bonus!

Had another wonderful stay. We love hiking & music sessions at The Barn. Everything we needed was provided. We had a great time on our second visit. Will plan on returning. Jane & Jack

Rented this spot to go to a wedding at the gorge which was literally down the road you can walk there so close which was amazing. It was just me and the wife but it was so spacious the groom and best men all were at my place to get ready it did not feel cramped at all it was exactly what I needed and more.

Amy's place was an idyllic getaway and an excellent place to launch our exploration of the New River Gorge National Park. A perfect place to unplug and relax.

Great stay! It was an awesome location and there was lots to do within walking distance. Also appreciated the food that was present for us on arrival. There was a small but very nice backyard where we were able to make a fire one night. Host was very informative and responsive. Would definitely stay again.

My husband and I love staying here and come once to twice a year. Butch and Lynn are very responsive and the nest is cozy and clean. We always look forward to our stay!

I would stay here again! Beds were comfy, kitchen was large, and the fire pits / river walk made the weekend extra special. The host was very responsive via messenger. The location is incredible and easy access to downtown davis and a short drive or bike to black water falls state park. Only con — the living area isn’t the most comfy / conducive to hanging but in Davis / Thomas you’ll want to be outside anyways!

A truly unforgettable retreat! It was an incredible stay at Denisa’s beautiful woodland home in Mathias, West Virginia. From the moment I booked, Denisa was incredibly communicative, responsive, and thoughtful - going above and beyond to ensure the stay was perfect. The home itself is incredible and impeccably maintained, with tasteful interior design and a warmth that made it feel like a true getaway. The chef’s kitchen was a dream - fully stocked and ideal for cooking and gathering. Every room was spotless, and you could tell great care was put into every detail. The surrounding area is a peaceful retreat in the woods is quiet, serene, and perfect for decompressing. I couldn’t recommend this place more highly to anyone seeking a restful and elevated escape. Without a doubt, I'll be back the next time the opportunity arises. Much love and appreciation to Denisa and her family for hosting such a memorable stay!

We had a great, relaxing stay!

Our stay was absolutely wonderful! Catrina was super responsive and kind, and the house was exactly what we were looking for. It was a small, compact, and relaxing home base to explore New River Gorge. A modern bathroom, a nice hot tub, a small fire pit, a scenic backyard, and a fun cabin feel. I definitely would recommend this stay.

Top 5 best ever rental! The Evergreen cabin is a peaceful, cozy and inspiring space to relax and recharge. Our dogs loved the wide front porch for afternoon naps and the humans loved the comfy bed and linens. Books, walks to the stream, and day trips to Lewisburg made this a dream vacation stay. We will be back!

We loved Sara’s place! Our plans were to hike but Mother Nature had other plans. Every morning I sat in silence and enjoyed the rain on the trees and the forest with my delicious coffee. Sara gave us wonderful suggestion for outings and hikes. The pantry and kitchen are well stocked, coffee is delicious with many options to make it your special Cuppa. The perch is perfect! We might come back in winter, we loved it so much.

We loved our stay! Rhonda and her husband Greg were very welcoming, friendly, and responsive! The cabin was gorgeous and set up beautifully. It was exactly the peaceful getaway we were looking for. We enjoyed our time outside with our dogs and loved exploring the nearby area. We definitely plan on coming back!

The view was incredible! We loved the DVD selection- and felt right at home in the cozy cabin. The National Park is nearby and Endless Wall trail was breathtaking! Highly recommend staying here!

If we could give a 6th star, we would. Denise's cabin was everything in the photos and listing, although the listing doesn't do justice to the effort put into the cabin. The space was clean, well kept, and keeping with the theme of why most people travel to Point Pleasant. She had easy to understand guidance about the property, as well as easy to understand suggestions about local sites. The subtle touches were great; without giving too much away be sure to look at the treelines/hedgerows to the left and right of the cabin when it gets dark out. I would advise to follow Denise's recommendation during check-in for using the paved entrance rather than the route into the property Google Maps recommends for those driving in from Point Pleasant. We drove our pickup up the wash no problem, but if we had taken our hybrid on the trip that entrance would have been unusable. Like I said, if we could give 6 stars we would. We're already plotting a return visit.
