Wonderful location with beautiful views of Skaill Bay, the hills and baby lambs. Very convenient to many archeological sites and beach walks. Kitchen was clean and well stocked.

We had a wonderful stay, the bungalow was perfect. Orkney is a very special place, the archaeology is overwhelming. I particularly liked walking around the Ring of Brodgar at 6 in the morning!! Beautiful beaches, so much to see. I will be back 😀😀😀

What a beautifully set up and peaceful base for our week on Orkney. We arrived at St Margaret’s Hope on the morning ferry and had time to visit the Italian chapel and Churchill Barriers and drop into Kirkwall on our way up to Swartland. The farmhouse itself is indeed excellent holiday accommodation with super comfortable beds and each bedroom having a spacious en suite, all offered at a high standard. Kitchen very well appointed and room for four of us to move around freely preparing meals, sandwiches,washing up etc at the same time. Very good heating and hot water supply for showers. Once established, everything we might want to do was within easy driving distance -visitor ‘attractions’ and coastal walks. Hosting was discreet but attentive. We would certainly head for Swartland if in Orkney again. Thanks for excellent stay.
