Kid-friendly holiday rentals in Redcar and Cleveland

We loved our stay at Photographer's House! Ashley was quick to let us know we could get in early and was on hand if we needed anything! He even messaged to arrange postage of some earrings that we'd left (when they were found during the clean). The house was great as was the area. Lots of different options for trips out not too far away too. Kids and adults loved it and are keen to return! Thanks for everything! We also learnt a lot about dolphins via the Dilo stories!

Lovely place to stay, beautifully decorated and the house is spotless and comfortable. David is super lovely and really happy to help. Staithes is a very small and quiet place with some beautiful walks along the coast, my dog loved it. Phone reception is non existent in the village so make sure you know the location prior to arriving. There is wifi in the air b&b. Really enjoyed just relaxing and the log burner plus monopoly was such a wholesome vibe.

We had a lovely 7-night stay at this cottage. Alison was a great host - quick communication and the cottage was perfect for us. The kitchen had everything we needed. Beds were very comfy. A bonus was the wide range of toys, games and books to keep the kids entertained! The cottage was perfectly located for lots of local trips - only 5 mins to Saltburn-by-the-sea, 15 mins to Staithes, 15 mins to Guisborough (lovely forest with a trail for the kids and big play park, and an old priory that was great to run around), and 20 mins to Danby Lodge which had loads of stuff for the kids to do. Would highly recommend!

Great property in a good location which is close to shops etc, but quiet enough to escape the high street. Has everything you will need for a comfortable stay along with great communication from the owner 👍

We had a lovely stay at Robert’s. The location worked out very well for us. The place was fresh and clean and we relaxed well in comfy beds. It’s well presented and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Would definitely book again.

This is a beautiful house that is excellently located and offers the perfect place for a getaway to Redcar and the surrounding areas. We stayed with 7 people (5 of which were adult sized) and we didn't trip over each other once. Loads of room, loads of nice little touches. Never mind seaglass, this place is a diamond!

Beautiful property in a perfect location. The beach is accessible via steps right across the road from the property. The views were sublime and we sat in the window seat or on the front veranda of an evening rather than watch TV. We had everything we needed and there was a good sized Sainsbury's at the end of the road. The parking space was right outside the back door. We were travelling with three kids under 10 and they were very happy with the range of toys and games, plus there were lots of kids books in the smallest bedroom. The decor was well thought out with lovely touches everywhere that made us smile. We will definitely return to this fab, cheerful house.

We had a lovely break in Saltburn but Peter’s place absolutely made it for us. Even though it is a huge apartment, it felt cosy. The beds were so comfortable. And a well equipped kitchen. We loved enjoying a morning coffee taking in the view, and my nephew enjoyed beating everyone at air hockey! Highly recommend Peter’s accommodation, and we’ll definitely be back.

Wow, just wow. I don't normally write reviews but I'm having to so that I can share just what a wonderful and reasonably priced property this is. There are genuine sea views from the living/dining room window and the flat itself is superb. We stayed as a couple so didn't use the spare bedroom or utilise the family bathroom properly but the main bedroom had tons of storage space, was well designed and loads of space. The ensuite was fantastic. We both loved the shower; so much better than the one at home. The kitchen was immaculate with Smeg kettle, toaster and fridge. All the utensils required for self catering seemed to be there and it was a more of less perfect small kitchen for our purposes. The living room was a great size and far too big for just two. It would definitely fit a family of 4 and the cuddle chair would go down a treat with most teen-agers who want to be left alone with their devices. Access was easy and the instructions idiot proof. Off street parking was great

Great little find. On booking felt like we’d be miles from the car but really weren’t. We parked in the allocated spot and carried our bags down. On check out the road was heaving with other guest leaving separate accommodation so we left it an extra few minutes then grabbed the car and brought it down with no issues. Lovely little shops and tea rooms. We booked in advance for the cod and lobster as good job it was heaving on the Saturday night (great food). Didn’t realise we missed chance of a pizza from Downstairs as only do Wednesday to Saturday but that was our fault. Love to come back, so quiet and felt untouched and so much less touristy than Whitby even though we did visit Whitby it was nice to get back to Staithes.

I had a wonderful 3-night stay at this beautiful seaview flat! The apartment was clean, comfortable, and filled with natural light. Enjoying coffee on with that stunning view was a real highlight. It truly felt like a home away from home. I’d happily stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing coastal getaway!

This location suited us, it was close to the beach, local cafes and shops. It had everything we needed. Parking wasn't easy, no doubt becuase of the time of year, but we manged to park close by when we did move the car. Susan left clear instructions before check in and it was easy to get into the property. We would recommend. Thank you 😊

Lovely accommodation!

A lovely stay in this amazing little bolthole in beautiful, characterful Yorkshire. The value for money is, quite frankly, ridiculously good. Anthony is very friendly, helpful and welcoming and we got the impression that both he and Jane really do care about their guests. Small extras like a crockpot, an air fryer and coffee machine are all so useful and make the place feel like a home -from-home. Having a washer & dryer makes everything so easy too - and surprised us for the low price! Everything is very clean too! Parking was easy with the permit and we felt like everything was straightforward and hassle-free. Area is handy for tourists too - Whitby is 30 mins drive away, Robin Hood’s Bay at around 40 mins abc Scarborough at 60 mins. Thank you so much, Anthony and Jane, we’ll be back!

Sara's place is a nice place to stay very handy for town and funicular down to or up from pier and front.Saltburn is a quaint place to stay for a few days,a number of nice places to eat and drink.

Great stay for families, felt cosy and relaxed with lovely welcome cake and milk for a cuppa after a long journey. Fab for exploring coast and has good local amenities (right next to a bakery and above a lovely gift and coffee shop). Very clean and tidy & we appreciated the well stocked book shelf and board game selection. We would stay again when in the area!

The apartment was very easy to find and access all as per the clear instructions given by the Host. The apartment was well furnished and very comfortable and homely. The location is in a great area for walking and in easy reach of the moors and coastal towns like Whitby and Saltburn by the Sea. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay here and would recommend highly.

perfect location on the seafront with lovely cafe at end of block. Lovely large bright rooms ( not so great for a lie in, only suggestion would be black out blinds). great communication, everything we needed and the lady doing the cleaning was lovely and helpful too. thank you

This is a fantastic place! Can't wait to go back. the home is stunning and our hosts made us so very welcome. Lots of little touches waiting for us and our dogs.
