We had a lovely stay at this cottage located in the countryside in a relaxing place! José and Aurora were very attentive: tips, fruit and apple juice from the farm, thank you! Supermarket 5 minutes away, rivers for swimming a few minutes away, Amarante and Guimarães 45 minutes away, Porto 1h15.

Definitely a vacation to repeat, I recommend it to those looking for peace, tranquility and nature! The house is very well equipped, decorated and has an amazing view! During our stay we were also able to enjoy the delicious fruit that is at Quinta de Fundevila (where the house is located). Regarding the location, it could not be better, in a few minutes' walk you are in the center of Arco de Baúlhe or the old train station, where there is no shortage of things to see and explore. It should be noted that the restaurants in the area are all very good, as well as the bakery and are just minutes from the house. Regina and Alberto are very attentive and warm hosts, they spoiled us so much! Thank you so much for everything, we miss it already <3

This is a stunning place secluded away from anything nearby. Great for a retreat to be restful, listen to nature and admire the beautiful horses. Cheila was an incredible host, super responsive to any questions or comments and gave us some beautiful lemons from her tree. The house is really well throughout and all amenities are included. Thank you so much for a beautiful stay. ❤️

The house is in a quiet location, has a place to park the car, and is easy to access. The space is large, and very pleasant outside. (We had all our meals outside, it has a table, chairs and sun loungers). Upstairs there is a double suite, and a bedroom with 2 beds with a suite, which is open to the living room (kind of like a mezzannine), which is very nice, and my son loved it! The images match the house, which is even better. In the area there are many trails to do, and excellent river beaches. It is a 5-minute drive from the center of Cabeceiras de Basto. Barbara was excellent, and made some recommendations for places, restaurants and an agency PorTrilhos (nature tourism) that were also fantastic. I recommend it!

Everything was great & we got great recommendations for the area. Upon arrival, we met at a nearby cafe and were escorted to the accommodation. We were very warmly welcomed on site and received the first information. After half of the stay, we even got fresh towels. Unfortunately, two things are not apparent from the description: the view of the lake is obscured by trees & you have direct neighbors. But that didn't bother us & we would come again and again!

We had a great stay, we will definitely go back. The house is extremely comfortable, beautiful and versatile, it gives both a warm and cold height. The location is perfect, both for those who want to know Gerês, and for those who just want to rest and enjoy the amenities of the house. The hosts are super friendly and flexible, I highly recommend!

I spent just one night there with my husband and daughter, to get a small break from the city and I could have not chose a better place for that purpose - very quiet, spacious and green surroundings. Lovely house with everything needed inside and a superb breakfast! cannot wait to return!
