Or Tate Modern, St Paul's Cathedral, the Tower of London, the SouthBank Centre, all the theatres and opera, the choice is entirely yours; take a Boris bike, or a bus from outside the door and the sights of London are all less than 10 minutes away. Clerkenwell was where London’s watchmakers plied their trade, now, you can pick up some jewellery in nearby Hatton Garden, or pad over to historic Smithfield for a meal at the Michelin starred St John. Surprisingly serene for such a central location, Clerkenwell boasts a number of historic taverns and eateries, including London’s original gastropub, The Eagle. Pick up coffee and a cake on pretty Exmouth Market before browsing the book and record shops, and then, perhaps on to Angel to hang with the trendy Islingtonites? The apartment accommodates 2 couples in 2 double beds (master is UK king size). Access to all areas. The building sits on the corner of Islington, Clerkenwell, and Exmouth Market, which are are all really exciting areas to explore with abundant shopping and dining. The British Museum, the British Library, and Covent Garden are all an easy walk away. 2 minutes to 19 and 38 bus. They come EVERY minute and take you to Covent Garden, Piccadilly and Knightsbridge. Many other bus routes close by. Angel tube is 7 minutes walk. Kings X, Farringdon, Chancery Lane, Russell Square tubes are all a 15 minute walk. You can walk easily to the British Museum, The British Library, Covent Garden ...... Sign up for Uber and nothing is far away at low cost because it's so central The bedrooms are very bright with skylights. The curtains are sheer so you may wish to have eye masks if light bothers you in the morning. I am surprised to find another apartment in this building being advertised on Airbnb for £50 a night more - it is half the size, has no terrace (I have 1500 sq ft!), no views and faces north (I am south.. and east and west - so sunrise and sunset) It is run by a management company with no personal interaction and keys need to be collected at a distant location. Astonishingly it is rented far more than my home... so if you have found my listing you are truly getting a marvellous deal ;-)))

The garden has a bistro table and chairs and a 3 Meter king built in seating bench (with made to measure cushions for comfort). There is also a built in braai / bbq and a decked area. Stunning lighting has also been installed to offer an ambient garden experience. We provide super fast unlimted fibre broadband for your added enjoyment and convenience. My Airbnb is a ‘permanent airbnb’. The property is for the exclusive use of guests. I live just a few minutes away from the property so am generally always available to assist where necessary, answer any questions or recommendations for local bars and restaurants. If you require any printing out of documents or business services, I also have an office close by and pleased to assist. Balham is a wonderful small London suburb with a village feel, with many fabulous independent shops, cafes, bars, and restaurants and pleasant nightlife scene including bars, old-school pubs, and the Banana Cabaret comedy club. There are many parks just a short walk away, including Tooting Bec, Wandsworth and Clapham Commons for green open spaces and picnics. Great rapid transport links into Central London via Tube or Train as Balham Station is just a short 5 min walk away. Just a 5 minute walk from Balham Station which is on the Northern Line Underground and on the National Rail over-ground both offering easy quick access into the City and West End. It’s just 12 minutes on the National Rail From Balham to Victoria and then a short walk to Buckingham Palace. On the tube it’s Just 20 minutes to the South Bank (Waterloo/Embankment) and a couple more minutes to Leicester Square. For the kids wanting the Harry Potter Studio Tour there is a train from Balham once an hour to Watford Junction where you catch the short 10 minute bus ride to the Warner Bros. Studio! Parking is available on the road outside the property and I offer complimentary parking permits on request. WATER I’m often asked about the water. Water from the taps is perfectly safe to drink. The two bedrooms are en-suites with super king size Vi-spring beds, White Company Bedding and Towels and Cowshed products to use throughout your stay. There is also Air Conditioning fitting in both bedrooms. The kitchen/living area is fully equipt with top of the range appliances including an induction hob, oven, chilled sparkling & still filtered water tap, a boiling water tap, top of the range Jura coffee machine, Kitchen Aid, NutriBullet and a large selection of condiments. We have a Sonos music system with speakers in every room and terraces which you can control from an app on your phone or the ipad provided for use during your stay. The house is also equipt with Apple TVs & Netflix. The whole house is fitted with underfloor heating and is professionally cleaned for your arrival. Guests will have private access to the whole house and all amenities. We will not be present during your stay. Guests will be welcomed into the property and shown everything that they need to know and then left to enjoy their stay. The home is centrally located in Clerkenwell (Zone 1) next to trendy Exmouth market with restaurants, bars and shops. A short walk takes you to Angel, Upper St and the Business Design Center. A 20m walk takes you to Covent Garden, Oxford St, Soho. There are several tube stations within walking distance. Closest is Farringdon (10 minutes), Angel (12 minutes) & Russell Square & Kings Cross (15 minutes). Several bus stops to central London located right outside the house. Farringdon also has a direct train to and from Gatwick Airport which takes only 40 minutes. Russell Square is on the Piccadilly line which goes directly to Heathrow Airport. There is Pay & Display parking outside the house (free on Saturadys after 1.30pm and Sundays) or an NCP nearby and several bicycle hire stations around the corner (Borris Bikes).
