Holiday rentals with breakfast in Rekawa Lagoon

My family and I had a memorable stay in Hiriketiya. Our host was in touch with us via text 2 weeks before our stay and he remained extremely easy to contact throughout. Not only were we greeted with a smile, tasty juice and beautiful villa, our host also organised day trips for us with short notice. The Villa is a simple walk to the iconic beach, big selection of restaurants and bars. The big beds in well air conditioned rooms were comfy and the house was very quiet and peaceful. I highly recommend this villa and host!!

Really cool place to stay. The view from the room is incredibely beautiful! It is little bit far from beach, but not so bad. The breakfast was really delicious and for a reasonoble price - not included. I really recommend to stay here, because the place and the room is so cool.

We loved staying at Shaun’s villa! Out of the eight places we stayed in during our trip to Sri Lanka, this was our favorite. The location, the villa, and being so close to the ocean was just what we needed. The villa was clean, well looked after, and felt really welcoming. Whenever we had a question, we got a quick and helpful reply, which made everything super easy. We also really liked the great food just across the street, which we could easily order to the villa. And being close to The Doctor’s House was a big plus – fun weekend market and tasty dinners in the evenings. We’re a family of four and felt super comfortable here. Would definitely recommend and hope to come back one day!

Our room at Chandi's was amazing. We loved our stay at her place. Chandi is so kind. You'll feel right at home thanks to its discreet presence but always available if needed. Chandi cooks delicious breakfasts that I warmly recommend. Plus, the home overlooks a beautiful garden. If we return to the area, we will return to Chandi's place.

All good! It's a house by the main road with direct access to the beach. You can literally wake up, walk out the door and reach the sea in a few seconds. The mattress is one of the most comfortable I tried in Sri Lanka. There's a table and chairs in the room in case you need to do some work (wifi speed is ok, ~25mbps). The terrace also has laying chairs, a table and a small garden around. There is a resort just next door and the dividing fence is waist high so not so private if there are some people around. I found the place to be too noisy during the day (since it's right by the main road where buses and trucks are constant), but it was fine during the night as the traffic slowed down. The hosts are very welcoming and friendly. At some point the wifi wasn't working and they immediately fixed the issue.

we been 3 days in this beautiful and peaceful villa , the family is amazing , they share some food and fruits with us and help us a lot in everything we need! is a little far of the beach if you want to walk , so is better have own transport , the owner can help with a scooter , thank you so much we will be happy to come back!

We had an amazing stay at the purple villa. The location is great, a short ride to the Weligama beach and a walk to the Marissa beach. The home is surrounded by nature, very lush and peaceful. The host family went far above and beyond to make sure we had an excellent stay. Their values are to treat their guests like family and we felt incredibly cared for during our stay. They were a highlight in our trip to Sri Lanka. If you are looking for a home to relax and enjoy the surrounding areas, it doesn’t get much better! Couldn’t recommend more.

Wow, what an amazing stay! The suite was stunning—spacious, spotless, and perfect for our big family. The pool was sparkling clean, and the balcony views of the ocean were breathtaking. Having a private beach and surfing school nearby was such a bonus! Manoj, the host, was super helpful and always available, making everything easy for us. The quieter side of Weligama beach was lovely, but it’s just a quick ride to Mirissa or the main area if you want more action. Highly recommend this place for a relaxed family getaway!

Ruwan is a very dear person who goes out of her way to make sure you don't miss anything. The place looked exactly like the pictures. Everything was very clean. There was a fridge full of free water. Breakfast times were by arrangement, which we found very pleasant. Breakfast could have varied a bit more (there was the same thing every day). Ruwan organized transportation to the next accommodation at the Uber price. And the driver was also very nice. We took a trip to the turtles and Galle along with Ruwan, which I had honestly imagined a little differently. I thought he was like a tourist guide who also gives us information, but he just drove us. I found the price to be a bit too high for that. But it was still very nice and a good idea. We do not regret having spent 4 nights at Ruwan's and can recommend it with a clear conscience. I'd love to go there again.

The place was exceptionally clean with plenty of seating space, and the staff were friendly and accommodating. It’s a short 200-meter walk to the beach, which was quite manageable. The highlight for us was the delicious Sri Lankan breakfast, especially the flavorful fish curry—it was outstanding!

What a find! Sisiras pkVe is a walk down the driveway and onto the south end entrance to Kudawella beach. Awesome balcony...breezes and a Seaview.. absolutely will be listening to the waves as you sleep at night. Sisira and his wife are wonderful hearts, have an amazing young family in the downstairs part if the house, and Harshanis authentic so tasty, plentiful Sri Lankan cuisine is made and delivered to your rooms with love. A quiet location atop one of the best sand bottom beaches in South Lanka. Good for learn to surf swimming and long peaceful walks Sisi Place is 5 mins scooter to Hiri or Dikwella, 20 mins to Unakuruwa and Talalla. With the 2 bedrooms upstairs sparking clean bathroom and massive balcony, this place would suit long stay to also enjoy Harshanis meals, or small groups and families. I can't say enough about Sri Lankan hospitality and you'll find it exceptional here. Sisi Place is a well underpriced gem. Highly recommended 👌

We had a lovely time at Lova’s place! The accommodation was beautiful and clean. Short reminder that there is no AC but with the open windows and fan the heat was manageable. The atmosphere was amazing, waking up to the sun and sounds of the forest was a dream. The location was a little remote, we rented a scooter to get to the beaches (takes ca 25 min to Hiriketiya, 15 min to Tangalle).

Amazing stay very close to main Mirissia beaches, beautiful surroundings but I would recommend renting a scooter/ tuktuk to make easier your displacement towards the area. Yummy breakfast and you can even practice Yoga on your terraza. Recommended!

When we arrived, the whole family welcomed us very kindly with a delicious fruit juice and the luggage was already brought upstairs in no time. The rooms and kitchen are on the 1st floor by a great garden with all kinds of bird voices. We were always downstairs at breakfast and the family read every wish from our eyes. If you want to go to the beach or into town, you can walk 200 meters to Haustrasse and stop a tuck tuck, if you are lucky you will also catch one right in front of the property. All in all super nice hosts and a really great property

Really great accommodation nearby to beautiful quiet beaches - as a female solo traveler I always felt safe. Manju’s food is also the most delicious food I’ve eaten in Sri Lanka, would return just for this!

We stayed 4 nights, very nice accommodation, beautiful kitchen, everything is functional. Very good welcome from Nisha, always smiling and ready to do you a favor. She even adapted the French breakfast which is hearty ... she booked a scooter for us, bus, tuk tuk nearby, small convenience store, very good cheap restaurant 5 minutes away on the beach. We highly recommend.

Donis place is one of our favourite places in Sri Lanka! We even came back a second time because we just love it here. The room is so clean and beautifully decorated, the bathroom as well and it smells so good:)) The best is doni herself. She made us an incredible breakfast every morning and let us use the washing machine for free! Also she is such a kind and caring person. She made us really feel at home! The area itself is really quiet and we could rent a scooter from doni to explore the beautiful beaches! I’m sure we will be back a third time if we can :))

We had a great stay. The location is an easy walk to the main beach and restaurant strip. The pool is a great addition and as it appears in the photos. The room was spacious, very clean and comfortable. We would definitely recommend staying here!

We had another wonderful stay in the villa this year. This time I didn't book directly by the sea, but a little further back. The room was very big and the two beds were very comfortable. The terrace was a dream, where I could enjoy my coffee every morning at 7 a.m. with a great view of the sea. Breakfast was as delicious as always and really plentiful (great Sri Lankan breakfast on request) ❤️ The whole team is as helpful and friendly as always. You come as a guest and leave as a friend.
