Apartment holiday rentals in Reykjavík

Great place to stay. Has everything you need. You would need a car to stay here, it’s only a few minutes outside the city center and we found this really convenient, but probably would have been bothered if we didn’t have a car.

Very clean and spacious. Worked very well for our last 2 nights in Iceland. We enjoyed being able to walk from the condo to the downtown area.

This was a great place to stay during our time in Reykjavik. It’s very easy to get to everything the city has to offer, but it is far enough away from the city center to be a peaceful quiet place to stay. We had everything we needed and more here. I’m so glad we were able to stay here, and would highly recommend it!

Great apartment, great owner

It was a very beautiful flat, spectacular view and had everything we needed and more. The location is perfect to much of the tourist spots in Reykjavik and bus stop 4 is incredibly close which was so helpful. Otherwise, a few buses only stopped at 5 or 3 which are both easily walkable. As many others said, there were welcome snacks and drinks which was very thoughtful and above and beyond. Lots of cute restaurants across the street and downstairs within the same building. Would 100% recommend to anyone!

Hildur’s flat is a gem in Reykjavík! First, it’s much larger than I expected being right in the heart of the commercial district and along the main street. There was plenty of room to spread out and the bathroom was spacious. The location is wonderful! Everything you could want was within a 5 to 10 min walk—7 mins to Downtown, 5 mins to the Skólavörðustígur (rainbow street), 5 mins to Hallgrimskirkja, 5 mins to Sun Voyager (waterfront) and SO MANY shops and restaurants within that amount of walking distance! Both patios were a nice addition to be able to enjoy the quietness of Reykjavík (back patio) and the hustle and bustle of the main street (front patio). I was hesitant about parking, since we rented a vehicle, but was pleasantly surprised about the availability of free on-street parking within about a 10 min walk—the City has a great map to be able to find it. Hildur was super friendly and communicative and always answered any questions that we had prior to and during our stay!

This stay was such a highlight of our trip! We really enjoyed the location in a beautiful peaceful neighborhood, right next to the bike/ walking path that you can take into downtown. Helgi and Titti are the best hosts! We felt welcomed as if we were one of their neighbors. Such a joy to hang out in the garden and drink coffees and pet their dog :) they have lots of good local reccommendations. Can’t imagine a better place to stay either as a couple or a solo traveller- can’t wait to be back one day, a very special place.

This Airbnb and host were really excellent! The apartment is lovely - spotlessly clean and comfortable. There's a nice big and bright combination living/kitchen/dining room, a very large bathroom with a washing machine and plenty of clothes storage, and a separate bed nook with a comfortable mattresses and blackout shades. The kitchen is fully equipped and there's a large fridge. We particularly appreciated Svavar's responsiveness in answering questions and providing recommendations for restaurants and music venues. In terms of location, the apartment is very private (attached to the family home but with its own separate entrance). It's situated in a quiet neighborhood that's perfectly located to get downtown (10 minutes by car), leave town quickly toward the South Coast, or head to the Golden circle or airport. My husband and I were really comfortable at the apartment, and we will definitely stay here on our next trip to Reykjavik. Many thanks to Svavar for a great visit!

We had a fantastic stay at Elisabets lovely little flat, the location was amazing so close to the church, bus stop and local shops. Easy walk into the center. Elisabet was amazing and heave lots of good recommendations for food and the taxi and buses. We would highly recommend staying there Richard and Jayne

Birna's place was very comfortable and had everything we needed. Plenty of room and easy access to attractions and activities. Birna was extremely responsive and answered all our questions promptly. We will definitely stay here again our next time in Reykjavik.

Vielen Dank für diesen schönen Aufenthalt in Reykjavik! Wir haben uns sehr wohlgefühlt. Der Zuschnitt und die Gestaltung des Appartments hat uns besonders gut gefallen und die nach hinten begehbare Terrasse gab ein zusätzliches Raumgefühl. Obwohl wir tageweise zu fünft in der Wohnung waren, konnten wir uns gut arrangieren. Die Wohnung hat 2 separate Schlafzimmer mit jeweils Doppelbett sowie zusätzlich eine ausziehbare Couch im kombinierten Wohn-Esszimmer mit einer optisch abgetrennter Küchennische. Auch die Lage hat uns sehr gut gefallen: die Wohnung liegt in einer angenehmen, ruhigen Nachbarschaft und ist gleichzeitig nah zur Innenstadt und zum Hafen. Einen Parkplatz gab es meistens direkt vor dem Haus. Die Wohnung war sehr sauber, der Check-In problemlos und die Kommunikation mit Amos und Berglind sehr freundlich und gut. Besonders hilfreich war, dass wir schon am Vortag Gepäck abstellen konnten. Wir können diese Wohnung uneingeschränkt empfehlen und kommen gerne wieder!

Wir könnten nicht glücklicher sein. Es war für uns der letzte Stopp unserer Winterreise und die Gemütlichkeit der Unterkunft hätte uns fast nicht mehr nach Hause fliegen lassen. Die Wohnung ist noch schöner als auf den Fotos und das einfache Leben durch die unmengen an Gewürzen, Tees, Kaffee hat das entspannte Erlebnis abgerundet. Man sollte keine Schwierigkeiten mit (wenn auch kurzen) steilen Treppen haben. Für uns eine ganz klare 10/10! Wir kommen gerne wieder, sollten wir nochmal nach Island reisen. We loved Hildigunnur's place! She met us there which was really nice as you don't always get to meet your host. It is a lovely cosy place and we felt right at home straightaway. It is very secure, private and quiet. The beds were lovely and comfortable. Plenty of hot water - the sulphurous water smell is common across Iceland - where there's hot water there is sulphur! The apartment is in a really convenient spot, walkable to the centre of Reykjavik and also there's free parking if you have a car. You're also close to the main highway if you want to drive along the Golden Circle. We will definitely stay again next time we visit Iceland! Thank you Hildigunnur!

I cannot recommend this condo enough. This was a great place right outside of Reykjavík that allowed us to quickly go into town and provided a great jumping off point for our tours. The condo was welcoming and very clean - it is exactly how the photos and description describe it. The amenities were great, and the laundry was wonderful after long days. Also, Hannes was a phenomenal host. He allowed us to check in early because of an early morning flight, and was extremely responsive to any question I had. I cannot wait to return and rebook this condo. I cannot recommend it enough. Thank you Hannes for your hospitality!

We’ve been travelling through Europe for the last few months and Emilia’s place is one of the very best Airbnbs we have stayed in! Everything was provided and the hosts went over and above to help out and make our stay in Reykjavik so enjoyable. Very highly recommend!

Amazing place! We had only one night and we wish we stayed longer. Super cozy and the decor it was amazing!!

The stay was very pleasant. The location was good and convenient. The space was very clean and comfortable and instructions and all communication was clear.

Stop! Look no further if you are looking for the perfect place to stay in Reykjavik. This penthouse is spacious, beautifully decorated, very well equipped for whatever you may need, and sparkling clean. The hosts were fantastic— they communicated with us clearly and honestly and provided everything they said they would. We recommend them as highly as possible and would definitely return here on our next Icelandic adventure.

Harbor Apartment was a great place to stay! Walking distance to all the prime sights made it convenient, as well as the many restaurants. So convenient!! Host(s) were so responsive, as well as the information shared about the area, the apartment and the restaurant suggestions made our visit perfect! We definitely will return one day!

Really enjoyed my stay at Halldór's apartment - very cosy and well decorated. 20 minute walk to anywhere in downtown Rekyjavik, and an even shorter walk to the coast. Halldór made himself available for check-in, and was helpful thereafter. Bonus points for plenty parking spaces being available on street. Would recommend!

We were completely satisfied with our stay and felt very comfortable throughout. The apartment is well-equipped, in a great location, and the parking spot in the underground car park was super convenient. Highly recommended! When we are in Reykjavik again, we will gladly book Kjartans apartment again.
