Hauenstein is surrounded by sandstone rocks and ideal for exploring the Palatinate Forest – whether it's hiking, biking or simply enjoying nature. The premium hiking trail "Schusterpfad" can be reached in 5 minutes.

In the garden there is a sauna (for a fee) and a play barn available. Dogs welcome (€8/night). Sheets and towels can be rented. Hiking trails start right by the house. For excursions, the entire south Eifel as well as the neighboring Luxembourg are available.
