Great spot away from it all but still enjoyed a few outings. Akadi Illumina in Bouctouche was a highlight. Kayaking, fishing, and swimming! Love the added touches of arrival snacks and did not need for anything while there! Would love to return one day!

We had a wonderful stay that this beautiful little cottage by the sea. The beach access leads to a gorgeous stretch of sandy, quiet perfection. The house had everything we needed to make ourselves some meals. They even had some beach chairs if we needed them. Hosts were very kind and responsive. We look forward to staying with them again next summer! ❤️🇨🇦

There is so much to say about this magical place! Hosts were amazing! Warm greeting on arrival, brought us welcome snacks, gave us a quick tour and made sure we were settled in before they gave us some privacy while they headed to the beach :) The hot tub and sauna were incredible! There was a bit of a learning curve in keeping both the right temperature, but Alexandre and Maria are happy to help guests. The atmosphere was so peaceful! We spent a lot of time just sitting and listening to the birds and breeze :) Hardly any bugs but I’d bring spray next time. Plan for simple cooking as there are is no kitchen. There’s a mini fridge, bbq and deep sink in the bathroom. Bring paper towel. Next time I’ll bring my electric kettle and aeropress to make coffee (there’s a keurig) The sleep was amazing! Cool in the yurt, cozy under the duvet. Perfect! Bring a sleep mask. They had a generator for small electronics. Breakfast this morning was amazing! We are already planning a return trip :)

Well I had no choice but to give all 5 stars in order to get to this part of the review. I had to cancel my trip quite late in the game, so I can't honestly comment on any of the foregoing questions. However, I did want to give a shout-out to our host's fast, accurate and personable communications, including those that involved what might have otherwise been an awkward situation. Three cheers for Gauvin! I hope to book again next year and actually visit the place this time!

We didn't want to leave!! From the moment we walked into Joanne's cottage we felt comfortable and at home. Everything was clean, well stocked kitchen, comfortable bed, great TV selection and the sunroom was the best addition! We spent most of our time in the sunroom or on the back deck. The peace and tranquility of the property really makes you feel calm and serene. The only sounds were the birds, trees rustling in the wind and the water in creek. Super close to restaurants and grocery stores. We had the best relaxing weekend and can't wait to return! Thank you again Joanne ☺️ *Don't let the bumpy road leading to the cottage fool you, once you arrive you forget all about it*
