Holiday rentals with a fire pit in Riggins

I want to choose my words carefully because this was a wonderful experience off the beaten track. First and foremost, Maven’s Haven is a mycodestination (word abuse, but warranted) of commune and connectivity: mind, body and spirit to all things earthly. I realize this sounds hippyish but it isn’t. This is a retreat setup of individual rooms, adorable little rvs and sheep wagons circling the periphery of the property and gathering spaces within. There are resident denizens: very likable duck—Baeyard—who shares its pond with Koi fish; roosters that sing as roosters do to their hens as all roam freely; pigeons; and a couple of dogs. None are threats to the others. The main house, where I stayed, included several living, eating and working spaces, a communal kitchen abundantly stocked, and a library of books that focuses on the natural and herbal along with flights of fantasy. The mind does not get wasted here. I relaxed for 3 days and nights, hiking every morning into the hills, napping and reading every afternoon, and feasting each evening—for which the end of season garden offered so much bounty. This is a destination that is what you draw from it, not what it provides to you. I miss its quiet repose, the view and sound of the Salmon River in the foreground, the incessant rooster clatter, and Baeyard’s steady companionship. Beautiful updated cabin with breath taking views. Lots of space for the family. We had a great time! Appreciated the communication with our host!

Our stay at the creekside was awesome! Barbara and Bryan were friendly host and the location was beautiful. Our dog also had an amazing time!

Beautiful cabin. We celebrated thanksgiving there. Lots of space and beautiful location. The only thing was there was. Not enough toilet paper for 3 days there each bathroom only had 1 roll for 15 people and 3 days, luckily there was a family dollar near by. But kitchen is well equipped and there is foosball table and ping pong table for kids to enjoy.

Great location and amazing surroundings! We loved being able to walk our dogs to the park across the street. And play in the river. Thank you! We would definitely stay again.

we completly enjoyed our stay at this beautiful location. it was super clean and peaceful. The view was absolutely stunning.

The remote location was exactly what we were looking for on a hunting trip. The roads getting to the house from the highway are a little rough, so definitely encourage a vehicle with high clearance. We got there after dark, so had a little trouble finding the house - Google Maps doesn’t lead you straight there. When we did find the house though it was great and exactly as described. Would rent again.

This cabin is among a group of cabins, which were all beautiful and well maintained. The outside space was incredible - a beautiful deck, a fire pit and out door eating area. The cabin also has A/C, which was helpful during the hot afternoon. The river is accessed down the driveway from the cabin, which we were pleasantly surprised to find a large grassy lawn with bathrooms and beautiful landscaping to relax in.

Our family of 6 booked a fishing trip with S&S which launches out of Pittsburg Landing so the location was perfect! The place is beautiful everything was clean and comfortable there was a playground and little beach by the river for the kids and WiFi which was a life saver because there is no cell service out there..it was awesome I wish we stayed an extra day!

The Screaming Eagle Ranch is awesome and in a beautiful and private location. The house is very comfortable and clean with new appliances and great history and ambiance. The sound of Slate Creek tumbling through the property was peaceful and added to the tranquility and remoteness of the location. We enjoyed our stay and give it our highest recommendations.

This is the perfect place to stay on Salmon river. Quiet and private yet would be an awesome spot to rent all the cabins out for a big group of friends/family. We sat on the patio and watched all the activity on the river. From fishing groups to rafters. We didn’t need to cook while we were there so I didn’t pay much attention to the what was available to cook with. We had plenty of dishes for two of us. Ashley prepped us a week in advance for a visit and included that there is a KEURIG machine in the cabin, which is critical information to be made aware of. Loved that extra touch of detail. We will stay here again for sure.
