Holiday rentals with a fireplace in Rio Caldo

I spent a glorious month at Maria Celeste’s home. It was simply the best place to reset, connect with nature & rest. I’ve never been to a more peaceful home. Freshly squeezed orange juice (from trees) every morning. Lemons for water. A natural spring to swim off hiking grime. Mountains to climb surrounding the entire home. Lizard & butterfly friends. And so so quiet. Maria Celeste picked me up & drove me to the location. Taxi services available to go to town when needed. I can not recommend staying at this home more. If you need some R’n’R, stay. You won’t regret it.

We had a lovely stay in the house, located in a peaceful area with beautiful views. The house is comfortable and has everything you need. The host Pedro was very welcoming and friendly.

A few highlights: the kitchen is fully equipped, the space is family friendly, and the landscape is amazing. This is my favorite airbnb booking, and I travel a lot. We were with family and the stay was warm and peaceful. I recommend the location, the house is wonderful and the neighbors are very friendly. It is important, however, to inform that it is necessary to have a vehicle and clarify more clearly that access to them can be challenging , depending on which one it is. The entrance to the house is complicated, because for those who arrive at night is not illuminated and access to the self check in vault is not accessible to outsiders. One of the rooms is more difficult to access, ideal for younger people, but not for visitors with more limitations. Despite the recommendations for improvement, we emphasize the tranquility, the incredible landscape, and the comfort of the house, which is thought in detail. Let's go back! Thank you

excellent stay, only issue was with sleeping as the double bed mattress had plastic wrapping which can be noisy. no washing machine. Definitely would stay again.

I've stayed in many places around the world, but Conceição has been the best host to date, very friendly and helpful. The house is very well taken care of, and we feel totally welcome.

Our stay in this wonderful apartment was simply fantastic! The breathtaking view of the sea has made it special every day. Maria and Carlo were exceptionally warm hosts – they not only welcomed us warmly, but also showed us the surroundings and provided us with many valuable recommendations. Abi and Regina are exceptional hosts who made our stay memorable. We especially enjoyed the tour of the animation museum by Abi which was fascinating The property is very lovely, the flower and vegetable gardens are incredible and the whole ambience is very relaxing. A perfect place to stay for several days. We thoroughly recommend staying here and look forward to returning

We loved this place in Moledo. The view alone: 1 row of the sea is within easy reach. We were greeted personally at Maria's apartment and got everything explained in detail. Very likeable! What was mega due to our flight times was that we were allowed to check in earlier and check out later on the last day. Thank you for this!! There are great restaurants and bars in the area. A bakery and a small grocery store are also within walking distance. Both Caminha or Vila Praia de Ancora can be reached quickly on foot or by bike (which we were allowed to use for free), as there is a nice foot/bike path. All in all highly recommended, we will definitely be back!

Casa do Engenho is amazing. So far, the best place my family and I have rented for a 10-day stay. Near Braga, easy to find, beautiful surroundings, quiet and comfortable. We definitely recommend staying. Monica is a great hostess, friendly and always there for you!

Incredible space for a family vacation. Amazing care with all the necesario for a 1 year old baby (bed, food chair, bathtub, several buoys for the pool). There were some incredible days

Lovely property which was quiet and secluded. Facilities and aircon excellent also. If I have any criticism there could have been better communication re fixtures and appliances, bins, recycling, etc. The instruction to access the keys was excellent though not all of us are familiar with electronic gates! The water pressure is not great for showering despite taking it in turns and the toaster tripped the fuse to the whole kitchen on arrival which was interesting trying to find the fuse board to put it right though Rodrigo did respond to our call quickly. On balance a lovely place and would consider visiting again.

We were invited to a wedding at the Quinta Solar da Levado in Amares, Cidalia's house is quite close (8 min) which is rather appreciable in case of fatigue. The house is very, very large and clean on a double level. A beautiful vegetable/flower garden is a great way to enjoy the good weather. Cidalia is very responsive and gives very clear instructions. As a traveler, just remember to bring cash to pay the municipal tax.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Absolutely perfect! Our stay in Porto was made even more amazing thanks to this beautiful Airbnb. The villa had everything we needed and more — every detail was so thoughtfully designed, and it was spotless. The space is even more stunning in person, with a warm and stylish feel throughout. The host was incredibly responsive and helpful, which made everything super smooth. We couldn’t have asked for a better place to stay. Highly recommend!

We had a wonderful stay at Casa de Vilar de Rei where we spent two weeks as a family. If you are looking for a peaceful oasis surrounded by nature and a place to completely switch off from the world, this is it. Marta and her father Daniel were the perfect hosts - responsive, helpful and kind. Our 1-year-old son had the time of his life riding Daniel's tractor, meeting the chickens, and picking fresh fruit and vegetables from the garden. The pool is shared with the other house but there is plenty of space for everyone and we had very nice neighbours during our stay. There are lots of places to sit and relax or read in the garden - day beds, swings, benches, or the veranda with a beautiful view of the surrounding fields. The garden is also full of herbs and lemon trees. The house inside is very well equipped, and the bed linen and towels are immaculate. We had a fantastic time and wouldn't hesitate to recommend this little piece of countryside heaven. Thank you Marta and Daniel!

What an incredible place the house is located in. views are exceptional and the valley is so peaceful. Sitting out in the evening as dusk falls the total silence is a sensory experience. Spent a week here and loved every minute of it.

Accommodation as described! Perfect for a few days of rest

We spent 10 days in the country house and had such a lovely stay. Vania made us feel welcome and provided us with all we needed for our baby. The house is charming, authentic yet clean and equipped with all you need. The location has a lot to offer on a day trip and transport to Porto and the airport is easy. This experience is beyond what can be expected from the average Airbnb, have already recommended to friends and family and we hope to come back :-)
