Holiday rentals with beach access in Rio del Mar

I felt right at home. It was nice to get away for my daughter’s graduation from UCSC. The drive to the graduation wasn’t bad at all. I loved being near the water and was able to walk to the cliff side for a beautiful sunset view. I’ll definitely stay here again.

The place was much nicer than we expected! High ceilings and beautiful windows, and the patio was really large. We absolutely loved walking to the beach and out for breakfast; we didn’t touch our car the whole stay. We will definitely want to come back!

Suzy’s place was perfect! I was in town for a wedding held at Shadowbrook and Suzy’s place was within walking distance to not only the restaurant but also all the spots in the village. Suzy was super responsive and worked with me. Even though I wasn’t able to check in early, we worked it out so that I could at least park in the designated parking spot so that we could walk around town while things were being cleaned. The place was super safe and private. I would definitely stay here again the next time I’m in town!

Beautiful resort and a fabulous room! It was very spacious and well stocked. A little pricey....but that's the economy - would absolutely book again in the future if possible

We had a wonderful stay this past weekend! The place was very clean a day modern. We loved all of the amenities they offered. it was the perfect place for our family of 4 to relax in such a beautiful space. Thank you! We will be back!

Amazing host- great communication and super responsive. The apartment was clean and welcoming and looked just like the photos. Location was great, a block from the beach and close to all the shops and the kitchen was stocked with everything we needed- toaster, coffee maker, clean dishes and a great space. The code door lock was super convenient for the kids to go out and about and come back to check in without fighting over a key. Decor was on point and I just loved the place and didn’t want to leave. The street sweeper early Friday morning was annoying and there can be a lot of noise from the street or people in the other unit but that is just life. Overall I would recommend this spot and will be waiting for another chance to visit. Ovr has this dialed in and I would trust any of the properties they manage because they do it right and take all the guesswork out of the process of renting a unit. Best AirBnb I have rented.

Well-stocked, simply furnished bungalow-type attached residence in the Seabright neighborhood, convenient to the northeastern residential sections of Santa Cruz and to supermarkets and natural food stores. Many new, easy-to-operate small appliances and good laundry set-up. Ample kitchenware and condiments. Quiet city surroundings, easy parking. Overall, staying at the unit (and interacting with owner) was a pleasure.

Evan and David were bother very helpful and responsive to my questions. The spot was nice and convenient walk to the beach. Enjoyed the stay and would book again in the future.

What a perfect spot for visiting Santa Cruz! After days spent exploring the fabulous state parks and delicious wines, this spot was the perfect place to come home to and relax, walk down to the beach and feel what it would be like to be a resident. The bed was comfortable, the kitchen had everything we needed and having access to a washer and dryer was an added plus. Would highly recommend!

we loved staying here! everything was in excellent condition and looked exactly like the photos, plus you can’t beat the location! the beach was right across the street and walking distance to coffee, shops, food, etc. evan was super responsive and gave very clear, easy to follow instructions for check-in and check-out. highly recommend for your next beach trip!! ☀️

The copper nest was a great place to stay for our long weekend trip. It was ideally situated 30mins drive from UCSC. The beach house exceeded our expectations, and comfortably accommodated 8 guests. All aspects had been thought about by the host, from the detailed text messages pre arrival through to the prevision of supplies, saving the immediate necessity to go basic food shopping. The house was pleasantly furnished with high end product and the beds were so comfortable. The state beach (only foot steps away) was so peaceful, with barely a sole on this stretch. Both hosts were responsive to any issues or questions. Thank you

Louise’s place is always so clean and well stocked. The house is so comfortable and the open floor plan is perfect for evening dinners and game nights after a day at the beach. This year we had a bonus of seeing whales breaching on our evening walks.

We had an excellent stay at this place in Aptos-private yard and house but walkable distance to the beach and nearby restaurants, as well as a cute park which our kids adored. The space was just the right size for our family of four and lots of extra blankets and pillows (amenities we have not always found at other airbnbs) plus beach accessories like sand toys, extra towels, and the outdoor shower which we so appreciate for our little ones. Kitchen was very well equipped which made for some easier kid friendly lunches of Mac n cheese. Hosts were very communicative and able to accommodate an early check in which we appreciated.

Great location! Walkable to everything in the village. Great condo. Almost don’t want to post this to keep it a secret.

Sarah's place was perfect for our family gathering! It was comfortable for 7 and the location was awesome. Only a couple blocks from the beach! The view was nice and we enjoyed eating outside on the pation. Great stay.

This is a really great spot and we would definitely stay here again! Jackie was a great host and the communication was excellent throughout our trip. The beds were nice, the house was clean, and the windows allow plenty of light to come in. The house is also well stocked with plenty of coffee, a variety of cooking and glassware, some and, some spices. The hosts have also prepared the house with games, toys, and small bowls and forks for kids. The backyard is also a really nice to hangout in and has a small yard that could be a great area for kids to run around as well. The house is in a quiet neighborhood that is about a 10-15 minute walk to the beach. There are also some nice restaurants, grocery stores, and cute shopping areas about a 5-10min drive away. Some areas in Santa Cruz have pretty hard water (including this spot) so if you aren't used to that grabbing some bottled water for your trip might be a good idea. We had a great time and highly recommend this spot!

Wonderful condo nestled in the Pajaro Dunes Resort. We traveled with two elementary aged kids and they had a fantastic time. A great family getaway. We brought our own groceries and there was plenty of amenities in the kitchen for eating in every meal. We enjoyed the short walk to the beach and beautiful views from the inside as well. We appreciated having the beach chairs & tennis items. The resort recreation area was a lot of fun and we spent several hours there. Comfortable beds and upgraded furnishings. Overall, a fantastic experience and we can’t wait to return again someday.

Kristina’s place was absolutely beautiful and exactly as pictured. Breath taking ocean views and a short 5 minutes down to the beach. Kristina was very friendly checking in with us to make sure our trip was going good and if we needed anything. Would definitely stay here again !!! Great host great place and beautiful city !!

We had a wonderful short getaway at Sue’s place! The condo is just steps from the beach, pool, and jacuzzi. Falling asleep to the sound of the waves was relaxing, and the ocean breeze was very refreshing. It was exactly what we needed to reset and recharge. This stay is absolutely amazing. Comfy bed and furniture. Stocked Kitchen. Steps to the beach. Closet full of beachy things. We had fun flying the kite. Built bonfires just over the dune on the beach. 🏖️ Don’t hesitate to book. This place is it.

Everything was just as described - kitchen was well stocked and had the staples which I appreciated - plenty of coffee too! Beach location was wonderful - 5 out of 5!

We’ve stayed at Pajaro Dunes before, but it’s been decades ago. Marc’s place was perfectly situated for privacy and views and was very clean and well appointed. The peacefulness and serenity were exactly what we were looking for. The beachy feel of the furnishings was charming and the unit included all that we needed including an upgraded and well furnished kitchen, a gas fireplace, a comfortable, king size bed and other essentials like extra blankets and a Kuerig coffee maker. Our only difficulty was when inadvertently trying to use the TV remote to change channels…Don’t Do That, Use the cable remote like it says in the instructions. Spent a thoroughly enjoyable four days here with side trips to Monterey and Carmel. Perfect home base for dining out and exploring the coast, and an excellent, proactive host.

We had a wonderful stay in Aptos! Hosts were very helpful, responsive, and flexible. You can tell they take great care of the house and think of all the details and amenities a visitor might need. Although we didn’t use the kitchen and bbq, everything you might need is there. The beds were very comfortable as well. The view is breathtaking, we even saw whales! It’s the perfect location to local restaurants, coffee spots, and grocery stores. Very close to Santa Cruz without the hustle and bustle. My family would definitely recommend and stay here again.
