Holiday rentals with beach access in Rivas

Big Drop Surf House is ideally located a short walk to Playa Maderas. Well equipped and comfortable, staying here you will feel part of the Maderas community. Gaby is a very responsive and resourceful host. The local restaurants/beach bars are great, close, and have delicious food.

We absolutely loved our stay at this beautiful beachfront apartment in San Juan del Sur! The views were breathtaking—waking up to the sound of the waves and watching the sunset from the balcony was pure magic. The apartment itself was spacious, clean, and beautifully decorated, with everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The kitchen was **exceptionally well-equipped** (a huge plus for us since we love cooking), and the modern amenities made our stay even more enjoyable. The AC worked perfectly, the Wi-Fi was fast, and the bed was super comfortable. The location couldn’t have been better—just steps from the beach, with easy access to restaurants, cafes, and the vibrant town of San Juan del Sur. Whether you want to relax by the ocean or explore the area, this is the perfect home base. The host was also fantastic—responsive, helpful, and provided great local recommendations. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience. **Highly recommend**

Corrin and Jacq were exceptional hosts. Always present and super diligent. The house, in turn, is perfect: excellent location, equipped with everything you need (and more) and extremely comfortable and pleasant. It was an incredible experience, which I recommend to everyone (especially to those who surf, given the two “world class” waves located within the condominium).

Martin is a superb host. Very responsive, nice, and accommodating of any need - such a nice person that makes you feel like your stay is the most important thing. The place is amazing. It's small and cozy, with good airflow and AC at hot times. There is a great garden with a big tree for shade, comfortable beach chairs, a hammock, and a shower. The water is 20 meters from the door, and it's a short 15-minute walk to Bigginers Bay and Santana and 2-5 minutes from several restaurants and a grocery shop. We came by car with a toddler and enjoyed the time. It is great for surfers who want to surf the area, beginners who want to learn in the beginners' bay, and people who want to stay in front of the water in a relaxing place.

The location was super beautiful! We loved hanging out on the balcony. At night we heard a bunch of howler monkeys which was cool. Would stay again.

Amedeo was very responsive to our questions and requests. The place is very clean and the kitchen had the necessary pots, pans, and utensils, for cooking. Bed was comfortable as well. Walk on the beach to town is about 10-15 minutes. This is on the third floor which allowed a breeze in the early morning and evening when the glass doors were open. There is a parking space for each apartment.

I had a great week staying at Dunia’s place. It was incredibly relaxing and right by the beach. I was working the whole week and wifi was great - no issues with video calls. If I’m ever back in Maderas, I’ll be sure to stay at Dunia’s again.

Great place to stay, close to everything you need.. Apartment was well stocked and comfortable!! Extremely helpful with letting me check-in early and checkout late. Would definitely stay again!!

The house is amazing, you have access to the beach right in front of you, only recommendation for anybody is to bring your own food from a local supermarket as there is an hour drive off road(4x4 recommended) after reaching san juan, the place is very private, you have the beach for yourself, the house is very clean, enough rooms, and spacious. Local housekeeper was very useful as he can go buy you items at extra cost while you enjoy your time, final score 10/10.

We had a very nice stay at Casa Pocahontas and felt right at home. The house is decorated with a lot of love and is located about 10-15 minutes walk from Playa Maderas. We spent a lot of time in the open living area with the huge terrace. A great place to relax, read a book or watch the wildlife in the jungle. The kitchen, bathroom and bedroom were well equipped. There was even a yoga mat and blackrolls. If we had any questions, Sebastian was always available and due to the keybox the check in/out was very flexible and uncomplicated. We can only recommend the Casa and would definitely come back again.

Couldn’t recommend staying at Two Ten Surf Lodge enough. The bungalow exceeded expectations and loved how spacious it was! The whole place was spotless and having two bathrooms was incredible. You can see the beach through the window and was so nice to have an outdoor patio to relax after surfing. Ben was super responsive and felt super taken care of! Super excited to stay there again.

Such a beautiful place, love the house layout and the views are awesome… Very comfortable place with everything you might need for your stay. Rudy and Alex (Rudy’s place caretaker) are very kind and friendly people, always eager to make your stay the best they can.

This is the best beach house I've ever stayed in. The view is spectacular, the house is big and spacious, great for large groups and the price is extremely reasonable for the amount of people you can fit. Recommended 100% and I'll definitely be back here in the future.

The location is great. few seconds and you are on a wonderful beach with an amazing sunset. the house is clean with white towels and sheets. there is a shower and a sink right in the master bedroom, worked perfectly for us! almost no bugs inside. mosquitoes are brutal in the evening! as soon as sun goes down you want to get inside asap! our spray didn't work. I missed that part the place doesn't have AC's, so it gets a little too hot during the day. we opened all windows and turned on the fans and during the night it gets better. if you're planning to cook, get everything you may need: oil, salt, spices. Also kids met crabs on the beach. They burrow themselves into the sand and can pinch you quite painfully if you are too close to them. I opted to wear watershoes, but my husband was ok to be there barefoot 😄 there is a little convenient store 1 min away if you need a milk or something else. the owner provides a clean drinkable water. overall a great experience, would recommend!

We stayed at this beautiful and cozy home in Las Salinas for 3 days. Three adults and a 3 year old toddler. The home is tastefully decorated with modern and rustic design with touches of native elements. Loved the local blue tile and local wood furniture. Comfy beds, linens & blankets. The A/C & water pressure was great. Filtered drinking water & basic cooking utensils are provided. Plenty of games to play with family or friends. A groundskeeper and or security guard is always on site and the property is gated. The home is close to the main paved road but there is a short drive on a dirt road. SUV recommended and 4x4 during rainy season. Zivile was great with communication prior to and during our stay. She made it a point to greet & welcome us to the home. The home was spacious and very well maintained. Overall great!

I loved my stay the place is great. The balcony gives a beautiful view of the ocean and the sunset is breathtaking. The spot is perfect for surfing and enjoying the beach and pool to the fullest. To get to the village it is best to rent a small bicycle, motorbike or golf kart! For sure, I'll be back next year!

Maria’s place was amazing, the view of San Juan del Sur bay was absolutely beautiful! She was incredibly communicative and attentive, always making sure we were comfortable and well-informed. We especially appreciated her guidance on electricity use, which helped us stay within the daily budget, very helpful given how energy costs work locally. Her recommendations for places to visit were spot on, and she was always ready to help. Thank you, Maria, for being such a thoughtful and welcoming host!

Really lovely place to stay. Located in a beautiful spot and the apartment was exactly as described. All really clean and comfortable. A very short walk to the beach where there is a nice bar and restaurant. There is also a little pool just outside the apartment block which was really handy for little ones. Roberta was very helpful and quick to answer any question. We’d definitely stay here again!

Paul’s place was so lovely & spacious for us, we absolutely loved the open kitchen/lounge and balcony views. Everything very clean! Beds were SO comfortable, we had great nights sleeping there. The pool was also lovely & we were the only ones using it. It’s about 10-15 mins walk to town and easy to get cheap taxi’s back. Theres a small shop nearby for essentials. The only tiny downside was the WiFi was quite intermittent at times with all 4 of us using it, but this is to be expected in Nicaragua & we weren’t that bothered! Lovely stay and would love to stay again in the future!

I love it when I can walk a mile on a beach and generally see no more than 3 dozen people the whole time. There were always surfers enjoying the great waves and the water is never calm which meant I felt better in the pool. There were several restaurants which made it nice for night dining. There's a 9 hole golf course and once you pay for 9 you can play as many holes as you want. It was always possible to go to the office with a question or text them and they were responsive.

The place was in perfect condition, very comfortable, just steps from the beach, the owners are very friendly and answer any questions very quickly. To consider in the future, in the complex there is 1 single pool for the 3 apartments, the owners live right there, and although a car can enter down the street, it is better to arrive by car alto. Otherwise, the stay was very pleasant.

Uri was a huge help, great manager. Always got us what we needed then and there. Juan Pablo was great as well, always answered any questions immediately and made our stay super easy. Nice kitchen and everything you need for a long term stay. Walking distance to the beach, both grocery stores and Dog Town. Already planning our next trip back!
