superb value for money. We paid about $26 per night in the rainy season. plenty of space, modern furnishings, good amenities in the kitchen. Close to the beach. Because of other reviews: Insects are quite normal in Nicaragua. If none were there, it would make me suspicious because then probably an environmentally harmful insecticide was used. Power outages are also normal. Unfortunately, we had some problems with the internet as a result, but Rosie and chilano were very helpful. Chilano also takes you to the nearest supermarket by motorbike. Drinking water is also provided free of charge on the property.

Honestly, one of the most peaceful and beautiful places I have ever stayed. We watched a horse and her baby walk the beach in front of us, picked mangos off the ground, and jumped into the lake all day. All around wonderful experience. Thank you David, Rebecca, and Team! We will be back.

The exceptional location, facing the Lake and the Volcanoes (unobstructed view). The layout is nice and optimal in a small but well-designed accommodation for 5 people if necessary. There's no hot water, but the climate lends itself quite well. The kitchen equipment is good as well as the general comfort of the place (indoor and outdoor). The owners are very invested (before and during the stay). They speak multiple languages. I highly recommend for a short or long stay.

A wonderful place to escape! Perfectly located by the lake yet easy walking distance to shops and restaurants. The house is very spacious for the price with everything you might need included, well equipped kitchen and plenty of outdoor seating including a hammock to enjoy the view. Yariela was always available to respond to messages straight away and happy to help, her family and neighbours were incredibly welcoming and friendly. This would definitely be my first choice when I return to Ometepe!

I had a wonderful time at Jeydin's place! The cottage is very cozy and also offers everything you need for a relaxing stay. I felt super comfortable from the beginning. Everything was very clean and well maintained, and communication with Jeydin was warm, straightforward and fast. This place was exactly what we were looking for in an AirBnB. The location was amazing, it was beautiful and peaceful. There’s plenty of things to do around this property if relaxing isn’t something you’re looking to do. It felt like we were in paradise. Cesar is very attentive and quick to respond to any situation. Can’t wait to go back!

Nothing bad to say about Hector y Isabel's place. Hector was such an amazing host who is so gracious and knowledgeable about the beautiful island of Ometepe. He gave us a great deal on renting his motorcycle and even brought in his sister in law to teach us how to cook local cuisine. If you ask nicely, he might even bring you up the hill and show you his beautiful farm on the side of the Maderas Volcano. Great location right on the beach and close to restaurants and 2km or so to Ojo De Agua. Do yourself a favor and stay in this great spot. Thanks Hector!

My partner and I had a wonderful time. The location is perfect, easy to get to grocery/atm or restaurants. Having a scooter made things easier but everything is also walkable. We were surprised to find how windy this side of the island gets, but it keeps the temperature cooler and easy to sleep in. Our private hostel was spacious and clean - and coming from the U.S. we found the price to be well worth it.

Thank you I loved the place I felt like in my estate, the beach super close to less than 100 meters away, very nice everything and the host quality of person blessings would definitely stay again.

Wilber and Lesbia were wonderful hosts and their place was absolutely beautiful. It was clean despite it being quite rustic. We had many animals and bugs come through and it was a very fun experience. The private beach and access to the lake was incredible and the homemade breakfasts are highly recommended.

The time at the Papaki house was very nice. I felt at home. Teresa supported me in everything I needed! Also, I was able to practice my Spanish with her;) the location was great, close to the beach and waterfall! Would love to come back anytime:)
