Holiday rentals with a kayak in Rome

Mary’s place was so nice. Right on the water & so relaxing and peaceful. It’s just a short drive to get to the downtown Dells & lots of things to do & see. Mary was quick to respond to any questions I had & was very friendly & helpful. We will definitely be back!

Trying to schedule a last minute lake vacation for 10 people including 3 young kids is tricky. Finding a place that we could all have a bed, with enough bathrooms to spread out and enough indoor/outdoor seating to relax and stare at the lake is really tricky! However, this place hit all those boxes and more! Our family was extremely happy, not only with the house and property itself, but with the peaceful lake and surrounding area. Would definitely stay here again in the coming years!!

Had a wonderful stay in a neat yet homey rental! The views were breathtaking and the location had other homes nearby but it was very peaceful and quiet. Host was very responsive to minor questions. Highly recommend.

We had a peaceful and quiet weekend at Tina’s lovely lake house, and exactly the kind of relaxing getaway we needed. The space was perfect for our group of four, with plenty of room to spread out and enjoy both indoor and outdoor time. The property is beautifully tucked away in nature, so do not forget your bug spray, the bugs were definitely out in full force, and pollen was everywhere during our stay. That said, the setting by the lake was serene and absolutely worth it. We especially enjoyed the kayaks, which were a pleasant surprise, and the bonfire nights under the stars were unforgettable. A couple of things to note: we didn’t realize how many stairs there would be, but it wasn’t a major issue. We had a bit of trouble figuring out the AC units and the Sonos speakers, but Tina was super attentive and quick to respond, which we appreciated. The shower heads could use an update, and the hot water didn’t last too long, but nothing that really detracted from our overall stay.

The place was just like the pictures showed. Very peaceful, scenic and quiet. There was lots of room in the house. The backyard was private and right on the lake. Loved Use the huge fire pit. The kitchen very well stocked. There was recommendations for restaurants and stores in the area. Place is easy to find. We also enjoyed the front large deck as well. If you have kids, there’s plenty of games and boats to use in the lake. We went in fall, so didn’t do any swimming, but still enjoyed the scenic views and the fall colors. Hali checked in with me before and during my stay. I didn’t need anything but I’m sure if I did she would’ve been quick to respond. We really enjoyed our stay.

Jenni’s place was perfect! I am a housekeeper in a small rural hospital and this property was absolutely spotless upon arrival! (And I notice those things!) It was the perfect size for my family, and the fact that it was only minutes away from Wisconsin Dells made it that much more enjoyable. I think the best part of Jenni’s home was that there are options to do touristy things in town AND outdoorsy things at the property! Will be looking for her listing when we decide to return to this area!

Our family had a wonderful stay. The house layout was perfect for the six of us, providing space to both be together and have privacy. We spent lots of time outside enjoying the kayaks, porch and fire pit. We'd definitely stay again!

This was our second summer stay with Cindy, and although the weather was challenging during our stay, the last day was sunny, warm, and picture- perfect. Cindy is a wonderful and attentive host, and I hope we get the chance to make it 3 summers in a row in 2026!

My family had a great time here. The views were amazing and beautiful. The wildlife we saw was really cool. It was a peaceful relaxing weekend for us, loved kayaking and fishing. Really enjoyed the for pit too. The home was beautiful as well, with comfortable furniture and the most amazing bed and pillows my husband and I have ever slept on. I would highly recommend checking out this property for your next getaway!!!!!

The place was exactly as pictured. A beautiful location, perfect for relaxing and having fun around the lake. Jacki responded right away when we had a question and the home was perfectly cleaned and ready for us! Would love to go back again!

Stayed here with some extended family and really enjoyed it. The setting was beautiful and quiet, with a great view. The cabin/house was comfortable with a good aesthetic and had everything we needed. The game room in the garage was a nice touch, the kids were big fans. Host was friendly and quick to respond. Would definitely recommend, especially for the price.

We loved the cottage. Started our Vacay out at a waterpark in the Dells. So this was a nice treat to come to the cottage and just relax. Alicia was very helpful with information and always got back to me quickly with any questions I had. The lake is Just big enough and crystal clear. The cottage had everything we needed to enjoy the lake from kayaks to paddle boards to a paddle boat. The cottage was cute and quaint, clean, and had everything we needed for our stay. Next time we come, we will bring our pups.

This property exceeded our expectations in every way. The house was impeccably maintained and situated in a stunning location with fantastic amenities. Conveniently close to town, but with a great remote feel - and amazing view!

We enjoyed our stay away from city life, was very peaceful! We hosted a going away party for my son and my kids and family loved the house and the beautiful view! We definitely would stay there again!

This quaint cabin was perfect for my bachelorette gathering! It perfectly fit 9 friends and myself, and had all we needed for a fun filled weekend of kayaking, bonfires, and board games in the spacious living room and dining room. It also had the kitchen amenities we needed to cook 6 meals. As a birder, i was excited for the bird activity both in the backyard and on the water! Dan was a wonderful host - very helpful and responsive. I would recommend this place!

We just got back from an unforgettable stay at Luke & Abby’s incredible getaway. From the moment we arrived, it was clear they are exceptional hosts. Thoughtful, responsive, and genuinely welcoming. We were three families with kids of all ages, and this place checked every single box. Well appointed, and clearly designed with both comfort and fun in mind. The private beach access was amazing for the toddlers, while the kayaks gave us a peaceful (and sometimes splashy!) adventure on the water. Evenings were a blast with snooker, retro arcade games, and that magic massage chair which became my personal favorite after hiking by Devil’s Lake. A special shoutout for the EV charging hub onsite, came in so handy for our day trips. And how could I forget the Spotted Cow surprise in the fridge? You didn’t have to… but we’re so glad you did! Highly recommend to anyone looking for a perfect mix of relaxation, recreation, and real hospitality. Until next time, Luke & Abby, thank you again!

A very nice clean and comfortable cottage. We were there for walleye fishing on the Petenwell flowage...very close to the county park boat ramp, and very close to a friendly bait shop and gas...we are definitely planning on returning. Thank you

This is our 6th year staying at Chucks cabin. Clean and well kept, over the last 6 years he's done a lot of upgrades. He went our of his way for us this stay and it was greatly appreciated. We will definitely be back

The Home was everything we needed for our party!! Plenty of yard space and plenty of beds! Everything was well labeled for ease of finding everything!! Great instructions and knew exactly what was expected of us! April was very kind and very quick to respond with any questions I had! Awesome! A very secluded location with lots of privacy, fire pit, big yard and easy walk to the lake. This was probably the cleanest home I've EVER rented. The homemade chocolate chip cookies were a bonus. Would definitely stay again for our golf next trip to Sand Valley!

We loved staying here. There are three levels which was a perfect set up for our family. We had cooler weather but we’re still able to fish and use kayaks and paddle boat. The house was equipped with all the amenities and more for our family of 8 which ranged from 7 to 71 years old. The house was clean and nicely decorated. We are definitely going to stay here again! Perfect spot and beautiful location for a fun and relaxing vacation!

My sons and I absolutely loved staying at Scott's cabin! Everything was exactly how it was described. Lots of room, very clean, and best of all being out in nature, it was beautiful! We had a bonfire every night, went paddle boating, kayaking, and fishing on Friendship Lake. Moundview Golf Course in Friendship is a definite plus. We spent time together and memories were made. We will definitely be back!
