  • Eduard’s home was lovely and in a great setting. Good place for a few days of exploring the Soca valley.

  • If I could rate the location 6 stars, I would. Kamno is a beautiful little village, and the view from the balcony is impressive. The apartment was very clean, and had everything we needed. As for Eduard, he was great. He greeted us when we arrived, even though we were a tad late. He was extremely friendly, and provided us with tips for our trip. I would highly recommend staying here.

  • Nice apartment, plenty of space. We stayed there for 6 nights. If you want clean towels, you have to ask for it yourself, otherwise they will not be refreshed, that is the only downside. Location is good, 10 minutes from Kobarid.

  • To be guest at Aleš apartment was great....

    Arne2019-09-03T00:00:00Z
  • We had a great time here. Aleš is kind and helpful, apartment is very nice and clean. Soča river is just below the house and features a cool cobblestone beach (this might depend on water level). Back yard is quite large (shared with another apartment) and it's wonderful to just sit there, sip coffee and enjoy the view of the mountains. Location is about between Tolmin and Kobarid, where 2 great hiking trails begin, by car it's a short drive to either one of them. The whole area is amazing and well worth the visit, with beautiful mountain towns, WW1 forts and trenches and fairy tale-like views and nature.

    Sebastian2019-04-22T00:00:00Z
  • Aleš is a very nice and friendly host. Everything was perfect from booking to departure. The apartment was very clean and modern. We felt very comfortable. Perfect for hiking, destinations are good and easy to reach. We are always happy to come back.

    Katja2018-10-19T00:00:00Z
  • Very attractive, well appointed apartment in a beautiful, nature setting. Close to restaurants, grocery stores, etc. And near to Julianne Alps attractions. Perfect place to vacation. And Ales was a great host!

    Ronald2018-04-30T00:00:00Z
  • Aleš was great, and his place is a great deal. Very clean and in great proximity to restaurants, towns, and Triglav. One of the cleanest Airbnb's we've stayed in and he provided us with all the information we needed.

    Hunter2017-10-14T00:00:00Z
  • We very much enjoyed our stay. Aleš was very kind and helpful. The flat was perfect, clean and comfortable. We were well located to explore the area, spending our day hiking the many trails within easy reach. It was a treat to return to the flat and relax. Thanks Aleš!

    Llorenc2017-09-15T00:00:00Z
  • We had a wonderful stay in Tolmin. Aleš is a very friendly host and made us feel welcome from the very first minute. The apartment is nice and clean, modern and cosy. I wish I had such pretty bathroom tiles :-) We came here to go rafting or kayaking, the location is ideal but I do think you need a bike or car to go to the rafting/kayaking center in Kobarid or Tolmin center. Aleš suggested to go to Kobarid (since that's closer), so we ended up with A2 rafting and had an awesome time! Thanks for everything Aleš.

  • Beautiful, spacious house in stunning location

    Tim2019-12-27T00:00:00Z
  • It is a great house, fully furnished with everything you need and more. It impresses with its rustic and at the same time modern style, with many lovely details. We felt very well and can recommend it without reservations.

    Fritz2019-04-20T00:00:00Z
  • Outstanding. Great location, house is a recently and perfectly renovated traditional house. Hannah is an exceptional host and I cannot recommend her more.

    Stefano2019-01-02T00:00:00Z
  • SEnza doubt one of the most beautiful houses where we have been. Out of time, cared for, welcoming, warm and comfortable. Hannah is a super host available. We will definitely be back.

    Francesca2018-12-02T00:00:00Z
  • We had a very enjoyable time staying in Hannah's old and beautiful farmhouse in the village of Kamno. The house has been beautifully restored, is full of character and furnished with lovely things, an amazing attention to detail which gives it a homely feel. Absolutely everything in terms of amenities is provided to make a stay enjoyable. There is a pretty paved area outside with table, chairs, barbecue etc. all you need to enjoy being outdoors when the weather is sunny and beautiful which it was for us. The house is part of a small attractive village with views over the surrounding wooded hillsides . The villagers are friendly and its what I'd call a 'living 'village which we enjoyed - a perfect blend of activity, so you felt you were part of a community ( winter logs were being brought in, cut from the local woods, when we were there) but tranquility as well. Its ideally situated for exploring the stunning Triglav national park and the Soca valley and not far from other places such as the capital, the coast and wine growing areas. I highly recommend this lovely place- we were very sorry to leave!

    Ivan2018-09-09T00:00:00Z
  • First of all, we went here like a Group of friend from 30-12 to 02-01. The house is Amazing and has all the comfort from Wifi, to the chromecast to the fireplace inside and the bbq outside. IN winter is very warm, maybe too:) but from the kitchen to the bath, everything is really well and nice prepared. Many thanks to hannah, the host, she's very gentle and answer all your mails in a matter of minutes. It's bad to be back at home now! Super good.

Note July 2019: Dear guests, throughout the year we have rented and lent the house to friends, family, colleagues, known and unknown ... It is almost always an exquisite pleasure, but about once a season we have had guests who were not really satisfied. The house in Kamno is for the oldest part about 250 years. We have tried to renovate so that the house is as close to the original as possible. It has everything six people need for a stay - including two aircon, but the walls are raw, the beams are free, and not wrapped in plaster and plastic paint - because we like a summer house like that. For some, this may mean that the house is too old-fashioned, seems uncomfortable - maybe ... Neighbors' daughters are doing all they can to keep the 200 square meters as fresh, nica and clean as possible. But maybe that's not enough ... Therefore this text: If you have the slightest doubt the house is good enough; so please rent something else. Apartments in the area probably cost more, and six people in a tent at one of the campsites close by costs 794.50 euros for seven days. With many wishes for a really good holiday.
  • We had a great time! Everything was as expected. We loved the place.

    Andrea2019-09-15T00:00:00Z
  • We loved this quirky, rustic house, but as Allan has said, it's not for everyone! You have to be prepared to accept it as it is - authentic, local and full of character. The kitchen was very well equipped, but you are slightly amazed that the fridge and oven work - but they do! We loved sitting outside for breakfast and supper on the road watching local life go by and our local neighbours lent us matches, once we managed to do some typical English charades to explain what we needed! Our 3 kids (young adults) all thought it was brilliant and very memorable. It is an absolutely beautiful area and we had a delicious meal in Kobarid, the museum is definitely worth visiting to understand the important WW history of this area.

  • Amazing house in the middle of Soča Valley. In the small village of Kamno, a perfect place to start visiting between Kobarid and Tolmin. The house is charming and feels like home. For the price it's a must-sleep in Slovenija. Amazing airbnb experience.

  • Great stay in Allan's house. Lovely cosy house. Superb environment. Recommended.

The ideal choice for those who like to be closer to nature but still have modern facilities close at hand. The design of the cabins was inspired by the shape of the traditional Slovenian haystack, or ‘Senik’. Our two cabins are located in the orchard; the ‘pear’, with a double bed and the ‘apple’ which has twin beds, representing the trees growing nearby. Each cabin has use of its own private shower room located adjacent to the main building, wireless internet and delicious breakfast.
  • Amazing location and beautiful space! So happy we decided to stay here. Close to many outdoors activities.

    Donald2019-10-28T00:00:00Z
  • This farm is amazing. The views are great, the hosts are so nice and helpful and breakfast and dinner are delicious. Definitely worth the stay.

  • Thank you so much to Urska and her family/team for making our stay so wonderful! From check in to check out the whole experience was seamless. Urska’s place is in a stunning location surrounded by mountains, overlooking the valley below. There is an exciting windy road that led us up to Kosec from Kobarid, and once we arrived we were welcomed by Urska with a tasty 4 course home cooked meal to fill us up after a long day of travelling. We asked Urska to recommend a nice walk and we went on a wonderful historical hike that passed by an extraordinary waterfall (Slap Kozack). We have stayed in many glamping pods/huts but none of them have had the home comforts that Urska’s did, a spotless bathroom, delicious food, great hospitality, a stunning view from the patio area and even little slippers. Would definitely recommend staying at Urska’s place. Thank you :)

    Ravi2019-09-18T00:00:00Z
  • I wish there were more stars to give this place! We stayed in the “Garden Glamping” cabin which was fresh, clean, stylish, and more than we needed! We had a dedicated, high end shower dedicated to us, newly renovated toilets..and what the listing doesn’t show is the spectacularly beautiful scenery and grounds. There is a fire pit to enjoy with lounge swings after dinner. The sunsets alone are worth the reservation. The dinners are absolutely delicious. The hosts? As sweet as can be. We absolutely LOVED our stay and can not wait to recommend this place to all of our friends and hope to come back very soon! We wish Irena and her family all the best and positive energy.

    Allyson2019-09-15T00:00:00Z
  • Ideal place to relax and unwind. Urska is a fantastic hostess, always friendly, cheerful and helpful. She has given us very valuable tips for our tours. Absolutely recommended: dinner at Urska!

    Roswitha2019-08-24T00:00:00Z
  • Highly recommended if you want to have a wonderfully comfortable Slovenian experience. The glamping hut is comfortable and is located at the foot of the Krn mountain. The area is very lively, so there is a lot to do in the area. The accommodation looks very nice and feels very local, the vegetable garden and the cosiness are a few examples. If you stay here I also recommend dining there. For 15, - per person you get a delicious locally cooked 3-course menu.

    Bram2019-08-20T00:00:00Z

  • The house is a great space with a lovely balcony. The house and property are extremely well kept. Ales was waiting for us when we arrived and made check-in a breeze. Be sure to bring some supplies, as it is not really walking distance to the nearest stores.

  • The accomodation was really nice, the backyard was perfect for our two dogs. They could play there all day. The accomodation is at a street, but you don't hear the street at night. The apartment was clean and there was equipment for everything we needed. It was a beautiful holiday for us.

  • We spent a couple nights at Aleš's place and it was not enough. The apartment is super clean, well equipped, and in a stunning spot. Aleš was very kind and helpful. He told us where to find fresh cheese and meat across the bridge and must see places while we were in town. The kozjak waterfall was amazing, such a beautiful walk. We're already trying to work another visit in :).

  • A very scenic location near the river. There is a fairly busy road adjacent but no road noise at night. You would need to have a car if staying here to access shops, eateries and the magnificent Soca River Valley. The apartment is modern and well appointed. Ales was a great host, helpful but not at all intrusive.

Pauline's apartment is naturally cool with a view of the garden from the room. It has a kitchen and en-suite bathroom. Guests have exclusive access to the patio outside the room. The house has a garden for relaxing & BBQs. Free Wifi and free parking nearby. The price reflects that ithis apartment is partially below ground. Please write if you wish to bring a pet - most of the time they are welcome.
Hemingway House Holiday Apartments is a 19th century townhouse right in the centre of Kobarid which has been converted into 5 unique self-catering apartments for the budget yet style conscious traveller. The Apartments have all been named after Ernest Hemingway's wives and this queen studio apartment (27sqm) has been named after his second wife Pauline. This studio apartment (27 sqm) catches the afternoon and evening sun and as its partially below ground its cool even on the hottest of summer's days. It has queen double bed with an orthopedic mattress and ceiling fan directly above it. I use 100% cotton sheets and provide 2 pillows each. The kitchen has a 3 ring electric hob, fridge, microwave, toaster, kettle, Bodum French press and Bialetti coffee makers, cooking equipment and crockery for two people. It consists of tea, coffee, hot milk, juice, fresh fruits, museli and corn flakes, yogurt, breads, meats, cheeses and a boiled egg. The breakfast can also be adapted to suit your tastes..ie. apple juice vs. orange juice etc. I have tried to make this apartment a home away from home for guests and I wish you a very happy stay here in the Soca Valley. Parking There is a paid parking lot (0.50 cents/hour) directly across the street from the house). There are 4 free parking lots with a 5 minute walk of the house (one is only 2 minutes away) but you will require a "parking clock" to use them. If you rental car does not have one I can lend you one with a € 5 deposit or you can buy one at any petrol station in the county for € 1.50.
Sightseeing around Kobarid Kobarid is ideally situated for exploring the Upper Part of the Soca Valley. There are endless possibilities of things to do if you enjoy nature and outdoor activities. There are also a number of local museums and World War I sites, which one can visit. Outdoor Activities Hiking - Triglav National Park borders the village on two sides and there are a number of hikes, ranging from easy to difficult which can be done right from town. The Walk of Peace also runs through the village and from this trail you can walk up to Bovec or down to Tolmin. The tourist office has complete list of the hundreds of walks possible in the area. Swimming - locals like to head to the "beach" on the Najda River which is warmed by natural hot springs with supposed healing qualities. Its 5km outside of town on the road to Italy and there is a great bar serving food and drinks. For the brave, its possible to swim in the Soca just past the Napoleon Bridge. A bit furher a field, the best swimming spot on the Soca can be found down valley in the pretty village of Kanal. The River is very shallow on the banks here so it is a suitable place to take children. There is also an excellent bakery/cafe here. For proper swimming there is an aqua park in Bovec and another one in Lake Bohinj. Rafting/Kayaking - The Soca River is one of two rivers in Slovenia where rafting is permitted. This river has played host to the kayaking world championship several times. There are numerous companies offering guided trips on the river. Some rafting tours are suitable for small children. Fishing - The Soca River is world renowned for its fly fishing. But, permits are expensive and guides are recommended to find the best locations for the fish. Paragliding - The Soca Valley has idyllic weather conditions for this sport and there are a number of take-off points in the valley, including Stol which overlooks Kobarid. There is a regular taxi service available to take you to the sites. Canyoning - For the adventurous canyoning trips can be taken. But, they are not for the faint hearted as there are lots of jumping into rivers from high ledges. Horseback Riding - there are several stables in the area to rent horses with a guide. Mountain Biking - many of the trails are open to mountain bikes and range from the gentle to the extreme. Museums in Town Kobarid Museum - is dedicated to the history of World War I in the Soca Valley. I found it fascinating and its a good way to spend a rainy day. Next door is a free exhibition on the Walk of Peace. Planika Cheese Factory - this is a popular tour for families and the free cheese at the end of the tour is a nice bonus. Wine Tasting In the nearby province of Fruili in Italy there are a hundreds of vineyards one can visit. But, I would recommend a trip to Goriza Brda to sample the local Slovenian wines, which are surprisingly good from here. The area is also spectacularly beautiful, with many quaint fortress villages. There are also many good restaurants. Casino's Gambling is legal in Slovenia. The Aurora Casino is located just outside of town and there are cabarets in the evening for those not interested gambling. Excursions Lake Bohinj / Bled - There is a car train from Most na Soci which takes 30 minutes to arrive at the scenic Lake Bohinj which is suitable for swimming. Bled is a further 20 minutes on the train and is considered the most beautiful spot in Slovenia. This makes for a wonderful day out. Trieste - the city itself is a matter of personal taste but there are some great beaches up the coast if you wish to go for a swim in the sea. Cividale de Fruili - is a charming medieval town a twenty minute drive from Kobarid. There is a fantastic flea market here on the 4th Sunday of the month. And there is a pastry shop in San Pietro de Navistone which is well worth visiting. Koper/Piran - it takes about 2 hours to drive down to the Slovenian coast on the motorway and it can often be crowded down there in the summer. But, Koper and Piran are beautiful places to visit. Skojan Caves / Lipica Horse Farm - On the way to the coast you can visit the Unesco World Heritage site, the Skojan Caves. The caves are amazing and there is a huge river that runs below them. Nearby is the Lipica Horse farm where the famous Lippazzaner Horses are bred. There ia good restaurant here and its possible to see the horses without entering the farm as many brood mares are in the paddocks just outside. Just don't forget to bring a bag of carrots or apples. Postonja Caves and Castle - These are the most famous caves in Slovenia and there is a train which takes you deep in the cave network. The caves are bigger than those at Skojan but I think less dramatic. They do music performances in the main cave in the summer. Nearby is the castle which has a museum. Ljubljana - the capital is well worth a visit. The river Sava runs through its small city centre and its banks are lined with cafes and restaurants. There is a castle on top of a hill which gives amazing views of the city and there are a number of interesting museums which one can visit. During the summer there are numerous free musical festivals taking place. Tourist Information on Slovenia For a more comprehensive information about what to see and do in Slovenia I can recommend an excellent site which has reviews and pictures of places to visit and things to do all over the country.
  • Apartment very well located but a bit dark. Perfect for different activities in the Soca Valley (canyoning, rafting, hiking, ...). We spent 5 days in this apartment, we did not have time to bother us! Marie is very available and responsive to her travelers. Breakfast is to be done at least once!

But their friends have received us a very warm welcome and had great conversations, above all, they have given us tips where we can eat well and make us a few nice days. Overall, we were very satisfied and excited. Only to be recommended. Greetings Konstantin and Janine

The sunny apartment (45sqm) comfortably sleeps 4 people with king sized bed and double sofa bed, en-suite bathroom and a separate kitchen/dining room. House has private garden, bbq and storage barn. Free wifi and free parking nearby. Please write if you wish to bring a pet - restrictions do apply in this apartment.
Hemingway House Holiday Apartments is a 19th century townhouse right in the centre of Kobarid which has been converted into 5 unique self-catering apartments for the budget yet style conscious traveller. The Apartments have all been named after Ernest Hemingway's wives and this spacious apartment (45sqm) has been named after Mary...but for no other reason than my aunt Mary likes staying in this apartment The room has a very comfortable queen sized bed (160 x 200) with antique bedside tables, located in an alcove of the main room. I supply two pillows and use 100% cotton sheets. In the rest of the room there is a double sofa bed, floor lamp, a wardrobe, chest of drawers, cabinet and coffee table. 2 wicker chairs can be added upon request if you would like to have additional seating. The apartment has a wood burning stove in case you get chilly and has enough spare floor space to do exercises on the carpet or for small children who wish to play. The room also has an en-suite bathroom which is quite spacious and extra large shower area (90 x 120) and shelves beside the sink for storing of toiletries. The Kitchen / Dining area is located just outside this room. The Kitchen has a 4 ring electric hob, fridge/freezer, microwave oven, kettle, toaster, Bodum French press and Bialetti coffee makers and cooking equipment and crockery for four people. There is also a set of plastic tableware suitable for children or picnics. The Dining Table seats four people and is located next to the window. The apartment is located at the front part of first (middle) floor of the house. It is accessed via a hallway off of the Upstairs Terrace. It has its own private lockable door. In this hallway is a place for storing muddy boots or shoes. Pets: Pets are welcome except from 15 July to 23 Aug. It consists of tea, coffee, hot milk, juice, fresh fruits, museli and corn flakes, yogurt, breads, meats, cheeses and a boiled egg. The breakfast can also be adapted to suit your tastes..ie. apple juice vs. orange juice etc.
  • Marie let us check in very late due to our flight arrival. The place was really easy to find and in a great location for exploring the mountains. Couldn't have been happier with our stay.

  • Convenient location in the heart of Kobarid. Have to park about a block away for free parking but it’s in a great location that is just a couple-of-minutes walk from just about any bar/restaurant in town. The room was nice and comfortable, however, because it’s on the Main Street, expect to hear some noise from the vehicles traversing through town.

    Ernesto2019-07-02T00:00:00Z
  • Marie is great! The place is lovely, right in the center of Kobarod, and very well stocked.

    Zachary2019-06-23T00:00:00Z
  • We spent a whole week in Kobarid and were thrilled with the environment. We can only recommend the region. The communication with Mary was always very fast and the check in without any problems. The apartment is lovingly furnished, very clean and the amenities left nothing to be desired. Mary is a very attentive and obliging hostess. She has given us many valuable tips on shopping, restaurant recommendations, swimming spots (etc.) which we can recommend in any case. We really enjoyed our time and will definitely come back !!! Quite excellent!

    Sarai2019-06-17T00:00:00Z
  • Very cute and cosy little place Marie was very friendly and gave us all her recommendations when she came up to see us she spent some time with us, the bed and bedding was soooo comfortable we had the best nights sleep and there’s so many activities nearby. We used the washing machine which was perfect for us but sadly no tumble drier like stated in messages, Marie did give us a clothes airer instead. Theres not an easy free parking option they are a little further and you need to have a time disc, and it’s all time limits so we parked across the road it was €0.50 a hour which was much better when in the pouring rain, Thankyou for a lovely stay.

We are located in a secluded and picturesque place in the valley of the Soča river and at the foot of the Krn mountain, which is considered to be the highest peak in this valley. In Guesthouse: there are 3 bedrooms on the second floor (for 5 guests); the room has two single beds, bedside tables, a wardrobe, free WI-FI, access to the veranda. At the territory there is: own parking, BBQ area, outside (summer) kitchen, refrigerator, kettle, washing machine (paid). The rate includes tourist tax.
At 100 meters from the guest house there is the only road to the parking lot of Krn Mountain, from where you can go on foot routes. There is a small mountain river running through the territory, on which there was a mill in the last century, from where the guest house name takes. In the valley there are cycling and hiking routes, kayaking, rafting, paragliding, you can see a lot of waterfalls (Kozjak, Brinta, Gregorchichev and others), Tolmin gorge. In winter, in a neighboring valley in the town of Bovec (35 minutes drive), a ski resort with a cable car on Kanin Mountain (2587 m) and much more.
  • We really enjoyed our stay and had a great time with the other guests.

  • This Airbnb is very secluded, the road to the house is not paved. The house itself is a guesthouse, which loves several rooms. The kitchen is outdoor and a stream flows down right next to the house. We were received very nice and immediately our room was shown. All in all it was a good place to stay for one night. We wish all the best.

  • The room was very clean and cosy. Breakfast was pretty good and Marie was a nice host. Would come again. Thanks!

  • Perfect little apartment for two people with everything you need to say for a few days. Amenities and hospitality were great.

  • Verry need, clean and comfortable appartment! Location is right at the heart of Kobarid. Great value for money!

  • Where to start. The studio was spacious, clean and equipped with everything I would want. Marie is a great host. I arrived very late due to a flight delay and Marie had everything ready when my weary body arrived. During the stay she gave me invaluable tips that helped steer me to some amazing spots.

  • We were very satisfied. Kobarid is small town but very nice, very good starting point for hiking in Triglav national park. Marie is very nice and knows a lot about the town and gives you some good tips if you are interested. The apartment is very neat and cosy. Thank you.

  • The room was well appointed and for the price it was a great deal. Kobarid is a very nice town and well worth a visit. Thanks to Marie's tips, we enjoyed local food and discovered some beautiful places.

    Anna2019-09-09T00:00:00Z
  • Marie was very helpful. Apartment is very equipped and clean, and the location is great.

    Bartomeu2019-08-22T00:00:00Z
  • The room was above all expectations. It was really spacious, clean and, although it was more than 30 degrees outside, very cool. The kitchen was really convenient and had all the equipment necessary to prepare a nice meal. The location of the apartment was perfect. We could also make use of a nice garden. Marie was a lovely host, she was flexible, very nice and gave a lot of very good suggestions. Near the apartment is a restaurant called Hisa Polonka (which Marie also suggested) which was amazing. It is the (more affordable) ‘sister’ of Hisa Franko, a famous Michelin-restaurant owned by Ana Roš.

Our house, located in the wild nature of Triglav National Park, is surrounded by a forest and beautiful mountains. Just under the house you can explore amazing water grove and a waterfall, which is known as energy point. In the valley you can enjoy the beauty of emerald green Soča gorge and if you're brave enough, you can jump right in.The house is a great starting point for many hiking trips. The most popular is certainly the hike to a beautiful glacial lake Krn, under the top of mountain Krn.
Only 12km (7,5 miles) away is Bovec, a paradise for all kinds of adrenaline sports like rafting, canyoning, kayaking, hydrospeed, paragliding, zipline, sky-diving and much more.
The neighborhood looks like this: a lot of forests, rivers, pastures and mountains.
  • The location is unique. Beautiful nature on the doorstep and in the vicinity.

    Martin2019-08-31T00:00:00Z
  • The house is in a lovely secluded spot in the Lepena valley. It was great for our family of two adults and three kids 9-14. The kids enjoyed the games which are in the house, and I loved the well-equipped kitchen.

    Macartan2019-08-24T00:00:00Z
  • A stunning location, quiet amidst impressing nature. A spacious friendly house. (There are two other houses nearby, but we have not heard a sound from these (Slovenian) guests. We suppose they appreciated stillness as we do.) Darinka was cordial and very supportive. (We have not seen Klement). In a case of medical urgency, she engaged in helping us to find a doctor in charge. Thanks!

    Thomas2019-08-17T00:00:00Z
  • Great communication. Great location in the region. Everything you need in the house. Silence in beautiful nature. Beautiful waterfalls at 10 minutes walking from the house. We had a perfect holiday.

    Andy2019-08-11T00:00:00Z
  • The house is located at the end of the valley and thus really surrounded by nature. The river forks 5 minutes from the house and both arms provide a beautiful place to stay and swim in the clear, emerald pools - if you are a bit hardened and the temperature of a mountain stream is not afraid;) The house is beautifully decorated and we felt very comfortable. The kitchen is well designed and was nice to have a few things like salt, oil and coffee filters if you forgot something. The way to the house leads over dirt roads: a bulk purchase makes sense, so you can get by without a car for a few days. A description for paths and tips would have been helpful, but you will find everything, just along the river ... For the walks you can bring good mountain boots. If you love the nature and tranquility, a fantastic starry sky with shooting stars without disturbing light in a cozy and very nicely decorated house, is right here. We will definitely be back, maybe even in the fall - the fireplace worked well.

    Michael2019-08-07T00:00:00Z
  • Klements house is a bit out of the way in the middle of nature. It is really super equipped and we had a very nice time there. The house is located directly (5-10 minutes) from a very beautiful waterfall, the Soca can be reached on foot within 30 minutes & with children together you can walk to Krn Lake (about 18km day trip)

    Mark2019-07-13T00:00:00Z
  • If you truly want a secluded location with glorious scenery and nature all around then this is the house for you. The house is spotlessly clean and Klement provides many useful little extras which make the stay even better especially if you have flown to Slovenia as we did and can't fill up a car. Thoroughly recommend this fabulous spot in the most beautiful part of Slovenia.

    Tanya2019-06-29T00:00:00Z
  • The stay was very nice for our family (6 adults + dog). The accommodation has a beautiful location near the river and is a good starting point for many activities in nature. In addition, the accommodation is super clean and very well equipped. We were greeted warmly by the host and he was always available for questions, tips and ideas. A holiday like we could not have imagined better.

We're in small village (about 20 houses). There aren't any market, shops or restaurants. You must buy food, etc. in Kobarid (8 km, 12 minutes away). Market Planika is open eyery day from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m., sunday 7.30 to 11 a.m. ( 1.7.18 - 31.8.18). From there just follow road to Drežnica. Our house is first one in Magozd (big yellow one). It's great start place for those who like cycling. It's only 15 minutes away from river Soča and river Nadiža.
It's new built studio, perfect for two people. It's on the second floor, above the roof, but don't worry, there is an air condition set to cool/warm.
Magozd is a small village, just right away from urban life. You can really relax there. only birds singing can disturb quiet.
  • The accommodation is much better than what is seen in the photos, it is totally new and equipped, the area is very quiet, it is perfect to disconnect. Super recommended, I would return without a doubt.

    Karin2019-09-16T00:00:00Z
  • We loved every minute of this stay. The place is perfect. The outside area is so peaceful after long days of hiking. We cooked our breakfasts and dinners and ate on the patio. We were treated like royalty with fresh tomatoes, grapes, and more every day. Beds were comfortable and we wanted for nothing. I highly recommend and would stay here again any time.

  • It was the best apartment I've ever been to. Nataša gave us bigger apartment because no one booked it and that made our holiday just perfect. The apartment was beautiful and spacious, there even was a window in the bathroom with the mountain view. Also there was a balcony, so we spent all our evenings there enjoying the piece and the view of mountains. The hospitality was amazing and I highly recommend this place. Thank you once again. :-)

The studio is located in a typical Slovenian Alpine village, few minutes’ walk to Soca river (Bovec beach), which makes it perfect for rafting and refreshing yourself on a hot summer day. Great starting point for Alpe-Adria hiking trail, cycling in Soča Valley, taking the Walk of Peace and visiting Triglav National Park.
The studio comes with the private entrance, a well-equipped kitchenette (fridge with freezer, electric kettle, kitchenware, and coffee machine), flat-screen TV (internet TV) and the private bathroom (with hairdryer). The two comfy single beds (two times 90 x 200 cm) can be joined together into a double bed. Interconnecting room(s) available.
The house is located in a small, alpine village, surrounded by nature, forests and Julian Alps; great for hiking and cycling. Soča river is 500m away, which makes it perfect for water sports (rafting, kayaking), fishing or simply cooling yourself on a hot day. The village is surrounded by loads of fresh and clean water from the nearby mountains, river Soca and Slatnica spring.
  • The accommodation was great. Above our expectations. The apartment was cozy and clean. Equipped with everything we needed (kitchen equipment including all utensils, in the bathroom and hairdryer). Communication with the owner at a very good level. He responded to everything very quickly and comprehensibly, including photoing (how and where to find the keys). There was no problem with later check out after personal agreement with the owner's daughter. Highly recommended.

  • Comfortable, modern and clean. An informative host.

    Andreas2019-05-15T00:00:00Z
  • We enjoyed Andrej’s place a lot. The apartment is fully equipped and stilishly furbished. The bed is huge and very comfortable and there is digital TV with many possibilities for (adult) entertainment:) There is also a small terrace and parking space right next to the building. Andrej was very helpful and recommended us where to shop, where to find an ATM and which nature sights to visit. The area is very rich in waterfalls and other natural wonders :) Austria and Italy is a 20 minutes drive. If you drive towards Italy from Triglav National Park, watch out for the Italy sign at the border, it’s full of colorful and funny vignettes! :)

  • My wife and I had a great time relaxing; it's such a great and unique Airbnb experience. Also, definitely take a hike down to Slap Kozjak!

    Derek2019-11-01T00:00:00Z
  • What an amazing airbnb. If you like bees at all, this is a wonderfully unique space. The lovely smell of pollen fills the air, the bed is comfortable (there is a ladder to the loft but this is no problem for a reasonably fit person), and the space is full of stylish touches. The bees are so nice to watch, and the mountains are beautiful! To top it all off, you can walk down to the Kobarid waterfall the next morning---Tilen includes a little map for this. There is a bit of a curvy narrow drive up to the house but just go slow and you'll be fine. It's worth the extra 10 minutes (if you're a slow driver like me :) ) from Kobarid proper to stay in such a beautiful place!

    Catherine2019-10-24T00:00:00Z
  • Enjoyed our stay at Tilen's place. A bit off the beaten path, but worth the extra travel if you're interested in a unique experience.

    Samantha2019-10-11T00:00:00Z
  • This is truly a special place! Located on a hillside above Kobarid, the views are spectacular. The family maintains the property beautifully with gardens, fruit trees and grape vines. The rooms are clean and as advertised. Be prepared to climb to the sleeping loft at night. Tilen was a wonderful host. He showed us the hives and answered our many questions about AZ hives and the region. We would recommend this property 100%, especially if you are a beekeeper or want a peaceful village retreat.

    Cheryl2019-10-04T00:00:00Z
  • Sleeping with the bees was such an awesome experience. I was concerned about getting stung but the bees aren’t fussed about humans at all. The view is really beautiful. You definitely need a car to get here and be a confident driver as the roads are narrow and steep. We stayed here for our visit to Hiša Franko and it was only 20 minutes drive so very convenient. The stars in the evening were wonderful as there’s very little light elsewhere!

    Charlie2019-09-20T00:00:00Z
  • Unique place, situated in an alpine valley, co-joined with a fascinating bee keeping operation that shares the building.Tilen wasn’t available to meet, but his parents were very helpful — made restaurant arrangements, provided maps, sold us honey. Lovely people, lovely stay. Highly recommend.

Both of us very kind, the lady offered us some eggs and the gentleman who spoke a little Italian offered my husband home-made grappa. Very spacious accommodation with a very nice new kitchen. Good starting point to visit Caporetto and the Isonzo valley with its spectacular attractions.

If you want to travel further (over an hour), drive over Vrisc Pass, visit Lake Jasna, Lake Bohinj and Lake Bled. All accessible from this apartment. Mercator Supermarket is a 2 min walk from the apartment. There is free parking near the supermarket for this accommodation, but you can drop off your luggage at the small area in front of the building. The communal entrance of the building is full of helpful leaflets and maps. I recommend looking through these if you are stuck for ideas of stuff to do. Great place to stay.

  • We came from Gorizia, Italy to Tolmin all in a day. We had trouble getting there because we didn’t know how to use the buses and trains but figured it out using the helpful websites Monika our host had sent us. Once in Tolmin we had a 5 star experience at Monika’s house. We did not meet her, but had some housemates that were great and we saw Monika’s mother once when she came to make the house warm with a fire. Monika is very easily reached by messaging and she provided so many local tips on things to do in Tolmin, all outdoors and even things to do if it was raining. We had everything we needed and were able to cook full meals and had our private room. The bathroom was shared and the only bummer was not being able to do clothes wash for free. She had a book she made for you to read with all of the rules when you come so make sure to follow those and all is good! We would probably stay again if visiting Tolmin. The bed was comfortable and the pillows and it was nice and quiet in the town and neighborhood. Close to small and big stores, pharmacy, bus station and a 30 min or so walk to the gorges! Easy access to train station via the company Nomago bus.

    Breanna2019-10-10T00:00:00Z
  • Monika's place is lovely! Awesome location within walking distance of town (with yummy and affordable pizza and gelato), a castle on a hill, 2 beautiful rivers, and the Tolmin Gorge. We were in heaven:) Unfortunately we didn't get to meet Monika in person, but we experienced her warmth and hospitality through the thoughtful touches throughout the apartment (including very comfy pillows) as well through her good communication. We really enjoyed staying in her home and would highly recommend it!

    Hannah2019-09-12T00:00:00Z
  • Our stay at Monika's place gave us a lot more than we hoped for at first. She has plenty of information for tourist, but also gave us enough recommendations for hiking trips, lovely restaurants and even cool activities that are a bit more unknown. Our stay couldn't be better!

    Lisan2019-08-28T00:00:00Z
  • We had a great stay in Tolmin. The apartment is very clean and cosy and Monika is a really lovely host. She gave us a lot of good tipps for discovering the beautiful surrounding.

    Lilli2019-08-15T00:00:00Z
  • Clean, private and the hostess is incredibly helpful and lovely. Definitely recommend.

    Jacqueline2019-07-30T00:00:00Z
  • A great place to stay. There is nothing missing and there is even a balcony for everyone. The location is a bit out of the way but nice and quiet. My son and I felt very well :)

    Pia2019-07-27T00:00:00Z
  • We had a lovely stay at Monika's. The self check-in was very smooth and quite confortable. The room is comfortable and agreeable. We only saw Monika on the Saturday as she was away working, but our encounter was really nice. She is very friendly and offered us great recommendations for things to do on our last day reachable by foot and bus. One thing : if you are travelling without a car or a bicycle, check the bus schedule when organising your stay because it can be tricky if you want to explore the Soca valley up! (But it is still manageable)

Welcome, dear guests! I offer you a nice and cosy apartment. It is part of an old house with history. I renewed it in 2016 therefore I am sure it will give you good feelings and leave you with good impressions. Just come and try! Also check my new holiday house Old bakery on Airbnb. Link: https://www.airbnb.com/rooms/27631201
The apartment is in the ground floor, separated from other living and business areas. It faces the side street. The parking lot is just around the house, beside the fountain. The main room with the bed and dining corner is bright with two big windows and cool thanks to thick stony walls. There's also private bathroom and the kitchen. We keep the place clean and tidy. Our priority are happy guests who want to come back.
There is special atmosphere in old part of the city. Houses are close to each other, they're made mostly of stone and some are beautifully decorated. Everything you need is on the reach: shops, restaurants, bars, post office, bus station, police station, tourist office, museum, church, park, sports center and other agencies. A very popular but not crowdy hiking path leads to the two rivers: the Soča and the Tolminka. All the festivals (Metaldays, Punk Rock Holiday, Soča outdoor festival, Overjam Reggae Festival and others) are held there.
  • The small apartment is very nicely furnished and equipped so that you can cater for yourself. It is very centrally located in Tolmin - from there shops and bars are within walking distance. Boris is a fantastic host who looks after his guests very nicely and is always approachable. So we had a great short break in Tolmin!

    Simone2019-10-06T00:00:00Z
  • We spent three nights at Boris' apartment and had a great time. He was super friendly, gave us a lot of tipps for the area around Tolmin and even offered us to take his bikes. We would love to come back soon.

  • Boris is a great host, so nice and helpful if you need advice on where to go in the beautiful Soca valley. The apartment has everything you need and is very clean and cozy. Would definitely recommend staying here!

  • Boris is a great host. The communication was easy and he also had tipps for us about what to do. The apartement is really cute, fully equiped and super super clean. Tolmin is a nice little city. Within a short drive you reach cool spots in Triglav Nationalpark where you can go hiking, swimming, rafting,... We loved the place and would really like to come back!

  • The glamping at the tourist farm was fantastic. Location just outside Kobarid up in the valley was amazing, very picturesque. The cabin was very comfortable and private, and each cabin had its own shower in the main accommodation building which was excellent. Urska does a wonderful job with the tourist farm. We had a traditiona dinner on our first night which was delicious, and the breakfast each day was the best we have had in a long time. If we are ever back in the area we will stay no where else.

    Jayden2019-09-13T00:00:00Z
  • Great tiny house with the luxuries of an hotel nearby. Clean showers, great location and fine food.

  • Perfect place if you want to explore the beautiful nature of Slovenia. Very lovely and accomadating hosts. Breakfast and diner were delicious. We highly recommend this place :-)

  • Couldn’t be better! This cabin (Japka) was great during sunshine and even rain! The bathroom was lovely, every little detail had been considered. Great local tips, and we had dinner there every evening because it was so good! Big breakfast buffet, amazing people, and the location is more than stunning. Prepare for great views, amazing sunsets and gorgeous nature. We would have loved to stay even longer!

    Manon2019-08-03T00:00:00Z
  • Everything was great ! A beautiful place and a warm welcome. A really pleasant moment.

    Valentine2019-07-12T00:00:00Z
  • We stayed in the pear glamping hut. This exceeded all our expectations. The bathroom / toilet and the terrace is less than a minute's walk and yet it feels like you have the entire garden alone! The home-made breakfast is delicious and the home-made dinners with vegetables from your own garden even better! There is nothing lacking in hospitality and there is plenty to do in the area to keep you entertained for a week. A car is needed. Really recommended!

    Sascha2019-07-04T00:00:00Z
  • Beautifully situated in the mountains. The Soča River and surroundings are stunning! Nice hikes, although sometimes the trail dissappears and you have to turn around. The food is delicious and Urska and her family are angels.

  • Tim is a nice person he was very patient with us despite our average english. We loved the cabin. The best night we spent in 10 days in Slovenia at the moment. We will come back with pleasure.

    Ludo2019-08-18T00:00:00Z
  • Well received by Tim, he guided us personally and helped carry the luggage. The plumbing and shower are separate, but for anyone with some camping experience this is certainly not a problem. For anyone who wants to do something different and is not afraid of nature, I recommend it.

    Veerle2019-08-10T00:00:00Z
  • The stay in Tim's house was just perfect. Who likes to be secluded and romantic, is in good hands here. Also our dog franzi liked it very much. We can only recommend the house to anyone.

There is a very large free car parking place directly across the street from the house and another 4 free parking areas within a minutes walk of the house. I have left my own car there for years without any problems.
Tourist Information on Slovenia For a more comprehensive information about what to see and do in Slovenia I can recommend an excellent site which has reviews and pictures of places to visit and things to do all over the country..

Marie was a great host, she very kindly allowed us to use her washing machine during our stay. Wouldn't hesitate to stay here again when in Slovenia!

  • I have given my husband and his friends Edward's accommodation and they were very happy there. Everything was as in the photos and they could do great activities in the area. Hiking, kayaking, rocking in the cold socca :-). There were not many suitable paths for mountain biking. But the ones they found were very nice. My husband was very happy there and can recommend the accommodation in any case unrestricted. Greetings Gaby

We are located in a secluded and picturesque place in the valley of the Soča River and at the foot of Mount Krn, which is considered the highest peak in this valley. The territory has a pond with rainbow trout. Studio apartments are located on the ground floor (for 4 guests). Available 1 double bed and 1 bunk bed, sofa, TV, free WI-FI. Exit to the veranda. On the territory there is: private parking, a place for barbecue, washing machine (paid). Price includes tourist tax.
A 5-minute walk away is a little-known but beautiful cascading waterfall (7 cascades). This is especially noticeable in the fall, unfortunately in the summer there is too little water.

A separate single bedroom & bathroom are just off this room. Free wifi. This apartment has a dual air conditioning/heating unit. Please write if you wish to bring a pet - restrictions do apply in this apartment.
Hemingway House Holiday Apartments is a 19th century townhouse in the centre of Kobarid which has been transformed into five unique self-contained apartments. There is a very large free car parking place directly across the street from the house and another 4 free parking areas within a minutes walk of the house. I have left my own car there for years without any problems. The Attic Suite covers the entire top floor of the house and comfortably sleeps five adults. Its boasts an enormous main room (80sqm) with a vaulted ceiling which incorporates the original wooden roof beams and walls which have sections of exposed stone, giving the apartment a romantic rustic charm. The room has been divided into two sections. On one side is a queen sized bed (160 x 200) with antique bedside tables. And a living area with a sofa bed which pulls out to sleep two adults comfortably (160 x 200). There is a large wardrobe and antique pine chester drawers to store clothing. There is also a powerful wood burning stove and if you are chilly I can come up and set a fire for you and provide you with wood to keep it going. On the otherside of the room is the Kitchen/Dining Area. The Kitchen has a large granite worktop which doubles as a breakfast bar which seats two. There is a 4 ring gas hob, electric oven, microwave, fridge/freezer, kettle, toaster, electric mixer, blender, Bodum french press and Bialetti coffee makers and cooking equipment and crockery for six people. There are also a set of plastic tableware for children. There is a dining table that seats six people and there is enough spare space around it for you to position it how ever you like best. There is also an uplighter lamp if you would prefer a more romantic atmosphere. Off the main room is a hallway with a wrought iron and wood balcony which leads to the little bedroom on one end and the bathroom on the other. All of these rooms also have vaulted ceilings with original wood beams. The little bedroom has a single bed. The Attic Suites are accessed via a staircase off the upper terrace and the suite has its own private lockable entrance. Pets: Pets are welcome except from 15 July to 23 Aug. I only accept furry dogs for stays of 3 nights or more and a pet cleaning fee of €10 will be charged. Also, the carpets in the apartment will need to be removed. You must also agree to if my pet policy. Please write and I will email you the details. If you turn up with a large furry dog without my permission I will NOT be able to accommodate you. Extras: Guests staying for more than 3 days can do laundry at a cost of €2/load. Breakfast is also available upon request at an added cost of €6/per person / per night.
Tourist Information on Slovenia For a more comprehensive information about what to see and do in Slovenia I can recommend an excellent site which has reviews and pictures of places to visit and things to do all over the country..Kraji.eu
  • The Soca Valley is prolly one of the most beautiful places I’ve ever seen. Marie’s apartment is located walking distance to all hiking spots. The apartment is clean and spacious. It also has everything that you may need.

  • Marie is super friendly, she answers on everything you ask in beforehand by email or during your stay. The airco is super in the rooftop appartment even that it was not so much needed, just good to know that you have one in case you want to sleep a bit colder. The appartment is very spacious, it is clean and also quite. Marie is a good host, she gives recommendations based on your needs. Thanks!

  • The "Attic Suite" at Hemingway House is terrific! We slept there (including the adjoining small bedroom) like a week in Abraham's lap. From the decor the huge room is romantic-rustic, with many nice details. The kitchen is well equipped; There is even an oven and a microwave. Personally we would have preferred a dishwasher rather than the microwave, but of course that is a matter of taste. We did not meet Marie personally, but Carine and Phil were very worthy representatives who spoiled us every morning with a sensational breakfast. They even made a green power smoothie for our vegan daughter and got them nuts, rice and oatmeal for them. In addition, they baked a delicious apricot cake for us, which touched us a lot. We had many interesting discussions with them in the garden and got lots of tips for excursions. The area in and around Kobarid is uniquely beautiful and interesting. On the one hand you can visit remarkable natural beauties such as the nearby waterfall or the gorges of Tolmin, but you can also walk on historical paths and visit the sites of the First World War or the related museum around the corner or walk up to the monument above the village , Italy is just a stone's throw away and offers such illustrious cities as Udine, where one's mouth is open on the piazza, so beautiful it is there. But even the cute little village of Kanal at the other end of the Soca Valley is worth a (relatively short) trip. Should you drive to Ljubljana (which is worthwhile in any case) and want to do a piece on the Slovenian motorway, then you must buy a vignette at a petrol station. We thought you could buy them at the beginning of the highway, and unfortunately had to pay 150 euros fine. In Kobarid itself we can recommend the Pizzeria Fedrig (just opposite). It's quaint, the pizzas are huge and taste great, and the Union beer is ice-cold and runs down like butter. But there are also some finer and very good restaurants in town. All in all, this was a wonderful stay - we will be back!
