  • The apartment was comfortable and spacious, and the location was excellent--both scenic and super-convenient to downtown (including the bus depot, which was handy for me on airport days). I would happily stay there again winter or summer. For me the only "meh" amenity was the old laundry facilities: my clothes came out of the washer still slightly soapy (and unfortunately the provided laundry detergent--for which I didn't find a measuring cup--was heavily scented rather than a neutral "free and clear" formulation), and then the dryer kept stopping mid-cycle, so it took forever to get my clothes dry. I strongly suspect that if I used those laundry units regularly, I'd be able to figure out their quirks and work around them; but for a one-and-done use they left much to be desired (though they were still definitely better than nothing!).

  • Loved it!

  • Great location for walking around downtown. Very clean with nice kitchen and large bathroom. Enjoyed our time there. There is not a view from this space as it is in the back of the building. Easy parking and the park is right out front with a great view of the inlet and mountain range.

  • Had a nice time. Wonderful location and such an easy experience. Thank you.

  • David’s place was better than I had expected. His place was clean and easy to access, very close to all destinations we had planned. David offered tips and suggestions for local places to eat for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. We got to David’s place at 3pm and there were two lovely ladies finishing cleaning the place. We were not used to the front door being glass but I didn’t feel unsafe at all. We will definitely come back to this Airbnb in the future when we return to Anchorage.

  • Very exquisite and comfortable house. The suite is located on the second floor of the house with all facilities and quiet surroundings. It is very close to the commercial area (walking distance), and you can also take a walk on the walkway opposite the house. The landlord gives quite a few good places around the house. All in all a good choice.

  • Perfect location for everything. We could walk to a bunch of restaurants and bars and being near the water/skating rink was great as well. David was very quick to respond and help with anything we asked.

  • David’s place was big! Very spacious and comfortable. Right next to Anchorage downtown, so you could walk if you choose to. Also lots of parking space for big SUVs. Since it was cold, we stayed in and cooked - very convenient to use the kitchen for making meals. David frequently checked in on us to make sure everything was fine. Highly recommended for anyone looking to spend some time in Anchorage.

Our comfortable cabin is the perfect place to get-away to beautiful Homer, AK. This private cabin has a full kitchen and bath as well as a loft bedroom with a view of Kachemak Bay. The cabin is located on a shared property with our home which is ideal for providing assistance with anything you might need from your hosts.
Guests describe our cabin as cute, cozy, charming, quiet, and with a great view, especially in the bedroom. There is a plush couch to relax and read, table and chairs for eating or writing (Yes! A couple of books have been written here), and a full kitchen. The bathroom has a shower, plenty of hot water, and fresh linens. We've heard the bed in the loft bedroom is incredibly comfortable with plush pillows and a down comforter.
East Hill is a gorgeous drive and worth the few extra minutes out of town. The cabin is under 10 minutes to town and the Spit. Just a bit further up the hill from the cabin is the Skyline lookout with vast views of the Bay and glaciers.
  • Really enjoyed staying at AJ’s cabin! Lots of nice little touches and the cabin was really warm and cozy, and the view was fantastic. Would definitely stay again!

    Joshua2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • Host Eric was kind to suggest dinner places in town. The cabin is extremely clean and comfortable. It is located about 4 miles from town and the innkeepers have their home right across the driveway.

It snowed ALOT while we were there and AJ got up every morning to clear the snow before we left He and his wife were so friendly and answered quickly I would 10/10 recommend this cabin :)

    Megan2020-02-22T00:00:00Z
  • Great place in Homer to stay. Cabin was cozy and comfortable. Great location with a view across the bay, and close to both town and trails on the bluff. Eric was easy and quick to communicate with.

  • Super communicative and hospitable. Spot was perfect for our needs, quiet and cozy. AJ had tons of good ski tips 😊

    Francesca2020-02-09T00:00:00Z
  • We absolutely loved this place. It was warm and cosy, exactly everything you could want in a cabin. The view from the bedroom is stunning, and the bed was so snug and comfortable. We enjoyed having no TV and entertaining ourselves with the boardgame selection (how great is The Game Of Life!) AJ and Eric are great hosts, who are excellent with communication and gave us some great local tips. We will be back to stay again!

  • We are still flashed. It was the best Airbnb we ever had !! Windy is such a great person, we had a great communication, a lot of helpful information and the best evening ever over there. The Airbnb was super clean and when we opened the curtains the first morning we were speechless about this incredible view. It’s so much more beautiful than on the pictures ! I would recommend this Airbnb to everyone who wants a unique and incredible stay in Alaska!

    Luna-Marie2020-02-29T00:00:00Z
  • Wow! I saw the pictures like everyone else but it’s a killer stay. The view is unbeatable and they are great hosts. If you are looking to book this... DO IT! Can’t stress that enough! I’m sure it would make a romantic night perfect or just a better alternative to a hotel for you and a friend (like I did). If you do decide to stay be sure and check the cupboards because there is a shared pantry thing that isn’t mentioned! 10/10 would recommend to anyone and hope to stay again myself soon.

  • Wendy is a great host! We’ve stayed here a few times, always happy!

    James2020-02-12T00:00:00Z
  • What absolutely amazing place! The views are beautiful and the remoteness while still being in anchorage is unmatched. We will definitely be looking to stay here again!

    Cole2020-02-09T00:00:00Z
  • Wonderful place with such a great view! Windy was such a great host and was great about communicating back and forth. This is a great location away from the hustle of the city. There is no TV which was great for my husband and I to be able to just disconnect and relax in the evenings. The place was very clean and very cozy with the gas fireplace! We stayed during the winter and my only suggestion is to make sure you have a 4-wheel drive to get up the driveway in the winter. It is fairly steep and can be slippery. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will be back again!

    Michelle2020-02-01T00:00:00Z

  • Super chill spot with all your tv needs and a hot tub to boot! Also, location is super convenient and they let you use their laundry which is really nice considering that some of your clothes is bound to get wet from the snow. One thing doe is that, the Airbnb is located in an alley so Uber drivers may have some difficulty finding it. But just let them know it’s in the alley between 10th and 11th!

There is also a local taxi service; $5 to town from the yurt. There is bus service to Talkeetna, as well as rail service from Anchorage or Fairbanks. To get from the bus stop or train station to the yurt is approx 2 miles. Please contact us if you have any requests or questions, we are more than happy to share information with you. ~The bed is handmade and 4 feet off the ground (see photo). If you have an injury or limited mobility, it could be difficult to access the bed. ~The outhouse has no door, IT DOES NOT NEED ONE. it is common in rural Alaska to not have a door; it increases airflow and decreases moisture build-up. It is private land, you will NOT be seen by anyone. Please let us know if this is a problem for you!
Near the village of Talkeetna, but far enough away from the bustle of summer visitors in a quiet neighborhood. Boreal spruce and birch forest. We have built a private trail to a pond out the front door, and can point you in the direction to a trail that leads to the Susitna river
  • We love staying in Rachel’s yurt. We have had the fortune of staying there 2 times. It is perfect for a cozy winter stay, super close to downtown Talkeetna or even the ski trails. I would happily recommend it to others and hope to be returning myself!

  • Cute yurt with an amazing layout!

    Jessica2020-03-13T00:00:00Z
  • Very cool place to stay! It was winter but the stove warmed the yurt nicely. Make sure to set a timer to keep putting wood in overnight - we fell asleep and woke up very cold. It sure was an adventure!

    Jillian2020-03-12T00:00:00Z
  • The yurt was everything we hoped for! Excellent hosts and everything we needed was there. It was private with beautiful views! We had a blast and already want to go back!

    Morgan2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • Very cute yurt and in a good location. Not too far from town. Easy to contact Rachel. She helped with any questions we had! We loved it!

  • Have had the opportunity to stay at the Yurt this year and last and it is the most magical of places. The hospitality is fantastic and the adventure of staying somewhere many of us may not have the opportunity to in our areas makes this the perfect place to stay when visiting Talkeetna. Thank you!!!

    Patrick2020-02-11T00:00:00Z
  • My second stay here, & it was even more magical than before! We got engaged on the front porch, so this is clearly one of my forever favorite places 🤗💞The wood stove kept us toasty in the negative degree weather all night long. & when we woke up in the morning, there were two moose munching on sticks right outside our door. Perfect ending to a long weekend!

    Bianca2020-01-21T00:00:00Z
  • Best yurt I’ve stayed in! The location is perfectly situated only a few miles from Talkeetna. We loved the wood stove and the kitchen made for a fun taco night! A fun rugged Alaskan adventure :)

  • This apartment is well located near many of the activities around Anchorage, but has the feel of a quiet neighborhood at the end of a cul-de-sac. I enjoyed walking the nearby trail with my kiddos without having to worry about motor vehicle traffic. I highly recommend this apartment!

Brand new, adorable cottage in the back yard of the local historic coffee house. This custom tiny home was built to take in the grand, south-facing views. Our cottage is in the perfect location in downtown, Seward, but it's also privately situated in the back yard and is protected from tourist traffic. Every detail has been considered when putting together this artistic space, and we're excited to share it with you!
This compact cottage has everything you'll need - a kitchen, queen-sized bed, and a cozy Vermont Castings heater to stay warm on rainy days. We're only steps away from the Alaska Sealife Center, the Seward Harbor, and Main Street.
This cottage is on the grounds of the Resurrect Art Coffee House, but is entirely separate. It is across the street from the local Methodist church and next door to Kayak Adventures Worldwide, a local kayak guiding company.
  • Wonderful place to stay, great hosts. Would highly recommend if you’re in the area and by the way what a beautiful area!

    Billy2020-03-13T00:00:00Z
  • I’ve stayed in AirBnB’s in Osaka, Tokyo, Seoul, Portland, and Boston. You’re not getting an experience better than this. My girlfriend and I loved it! You’re pretty much in walking distance to all the fun and tourist spots in Seward. Worth every single dollar spent. Michael and Micheley are the GOAT (Greatest of All Time) , hoping this spot has availability in the summer, because it’s in a prime location and the slight Mountain View you get is beautiful.

    John2020-03-10T00:00:00Z
  • We stood in many Airbnb and by far this was our favorite cottage. Located in the heart of Seward and only a few steps away to the Best Coffee shop in town. This little cottage had attention to detail, clean, comfy, and perfect for us. Micheley & Michael greeted us when we arrived, sent up traffic updates, and answered all our questions. Can't wait to visit this little gem again.

    Gabe2020-01-03T00:00:00Z
  • This place is very special! Iconic place in Seward! The best coffee in town! The cabin is so cozy and warm. The kitchen and shower are so nice!

    Nathan2020-01-01T00:00:00Z
  • OMG! This is the best place to stay in Seward! Perfect location! Amazing hosts!

    Nathan2019-12-30T00:00:00Z
  • Micheley & Michael’s cottage was a pleasure to stay at. My girlfriend and I were looking for a nice quiet getaway for a few days and they made our trip cozy and stress-free. They provided all the information about their place well in advance, so we knew everything we needed before checking in. They even went the extra mile by sending us some nearby restaurant hours and recommendations! When we arrived at the cottage, everything was beautifully clean and set up for us. The interior of the cottage is very cute and cozy. The location is very convenient, right in the middle of everything. It was easy for us to enjoy all that Seward has to offer, especially their amazing coffee shop right next door to us. Micheley and Michael had also provided us with some milk that we loved, and when we asked about it they gave us some more! To conclude, when you stay with Micheley and Michael, you can expect kind, responsible, and professional hosts, who will go above and beyond to make your stay amazing!

  • This cottage is the perfect place to stay if you want to see Seward! It was spotless and the location was super close to everything! We highly recommend this to anyone who is traveling to Seward, Alaska! Oh and the coffee house next door is truly delicious!

A short walk to a beautiful lake, this classic round log cabin offers visitors a relaxing experience in the woods and close access to world class salmon fishing and a restful stop on the way to or from Denali. Enjoy the outdoors games like badminton, use the campfire pit for a cook-out, or fire up the grill for a BBQ. For the winter, bring your snow machine, skis, and ice fishing equipment. Heated with an oil Toyo Stove. Very Comfy!
This is a 16x20 open cabin with a loft. It is most comfortable for 2-3 adults and 2 kids but can sleep up to 5 adults but will be tight as adults can't stand up in the loft. With kids, there is a ladder but railings in the loft. The porch doesn't have railings. The bedroom is small and has sliding barn-style doors for privacy and a pillow top queen mattress. The ladder to the loft is in bedroom. There isn't internet yet, so plan accordingly. Some guests can get a connection on the porch. Wifi is out of range from our house. The LA-Z-Boy sofa is in the main living space and pulls out for one guest to sleep on. The loft has thick pull out pads for kids or adults. Full bathroom with a shower and toilet. The kitchenette comes with a microwave, coffee maker, small refrigerator and a 2 burner cooktop. All bedding and linens provided. Enjoy the outdoor games: Badminton, Kan Jam Frisbee, KUUB, Bocce, or Molkky. There is also a hammock set up in the trees. Heated with an oil stove.
Neighborhood is fairly quiet but will hear kids and dogs. The lake is very peaceful. The Little Susitna River is close for fishing and boating.
  • Incredible cabin, great location! The place was exactly as described. Very comfy, cozy stay.

  • Can’t say enough good things about this adorable cabin!! We got snowed in and it was so warm and cozy! The bed is so comfortable. Enjoyed the trails that go around the lake for walking and biking. Bring DVDs for entertainment!

  • Comfy and cute cabin. Host was very friendly and gave great options for places to eat. Got to see some moose right outside of our window which was my favorite part.

    Jordan2020-02-10T00:00:00Z
  • Loved the place!! Just be careful driving in I almost hit a moose my first night there. As far as the cabin goes me and my wife loved it!

    Zack2020-02-04T00:00:00Z
  • This cute little place was great!! Stayed warm even though it was -15 degree weather! Easy to find, had everything we needed, cozy, everything (tv, lights, stove, sink, toilet, shower, etc.) worked well. Really nice place!!

    Rachael2020-01-19T00:00:00Z
  • Sweet cabin and it almost feels like you are out in the woods. Owner welcomed us personally since he was outside shoveling when we drove up. Every necessity was there and some really nice games (upstairs) and interesting books on the people and communities in Alaska. I wish I would have borrowed my friends cross country skis or snowshoes! It is a beautifully made cabin and I hope to go back!

Enjoy and experience the unique style of our log cabin on the lake. Rustic decoration and log cabin features a sod roof and beautiful landscape filled Alaskan flowers. Your private bath is within 15 feet of the cabin. 5 mins drive to Talkeetna Town. Unique place to stay ! The Hobbit House was featured on HGTV Mighty Tiny Houses last January 01,2017.
The bathroom is separate from the Cabin . Its your private bathroom , just at the back of the hobbit Cabin.
  • Even better than we expected! So many wonderful things about this rental!

    Hilkka2019-09-15T00:00:00Z
  • WOW, this place is incredible! Perfect location for any Lord of the Rings fan - or, in fact, any fan of cozy living on a beautiful lake waterfront. Well stocked, spotless, and the host is so friendly and helpful. This place is a labor of love and it shows. We’ll be back!

    Bekah2019-09-13T00:00:00Z
  • The coolest cabin there is. Thoroughly enjoyed my stay and Janice was very helpful.

    Abhishek2019-09-11T00:00:00Z
  • Very cozy cabin on a lake down the road from Downtown Talkeetna

    Alex2019-09-10T00:00:00Z
  • As we pulled off the main road towards the seaplane tours sign we were giddy with excitement. The hobbit house in plain view, looked exactly as pictured. A living roof and colorful flowers everywhere caught our attention. The bright green lawn and placid lake just in front. We walk up to check in with the lockbox and notice she had even a welcome sign with my name on it. Oh the details to this stay! Janice’s place is incredibly well appointed. She’s a great communicator. This place was even better than the pictures. She has truly thought of everything to make your stay very comfortable. The home is absolutely charming and was sparkling clean. The bed is incredibly comfortable with soft, cozy linens. Yay! Coffee is provided and filtered water (filtered water even provided in the restroom). The restroom is just at the back of the cabin outside. This was no bother at all to us as there’s a wood deck path, automatic lights outside and flashlights provided in the cabin. The robes and slippers were another great touch. Heaters both in the cabin and restroom kept us warm. There’s a large collection of dvds although we didn’t turn the tv on once. The location is great! What a view! We took advantage of the kayak and peddle boat which was very peaceful and a nice bonus to staying here. There’s a lot of wildlife activity just from sitting on the deck or lawn. We saw salmon swimming in the creek below, a variety of birds, squirrels and there’s a mama moose and baby around currently. If you’re looking to book in the area I wouldn’t hesitate to book your stay here. It’s comfortable, unique, charming, clean, everything you could ask for and more. My only complaint was that our stay was way too short here. Thank you Janice!

    Haley2019-09-07T00:00:00Z
  • Amazing place . Once in a line time experience to stay in a Hobbit house :) We also enjoyed using the hosts paddle boat to enjoy the lake ❤️Would highly recommend

    Jennifer2019-09-06T00:00:00Z
  • Such an amazingly cozy cabin!! Beautifully furnished and incredibly clean! Only thing is it is right off the highway so you Unfortunately don't have total peace and quiet when sitting outside but we had a wonderful time aside from that. Would 100% stay here again.

    Mara2019-09-05T00:00:00Z
  • What a small little beautiful place this is!! The host has done a terrific job of beautifying this house in every possible way. Moreover, the location of this house is just too perfect, and just accross a beautiful lake. This house also gives a quick access to anyone willing to do a sea plane ride. Highly recommended for anyone planninf a tripto Talkeetna

Serene, wooded setting on the hillside. Peaceful surroundings, wildlife ...true Alaska, yet close to town! An Alaskan experience with inside amenities. Rustic, yet comfy queen beds & 2 sleeping pads. Vanity & sink, cold running water & a fully serviced outdoor lavatory. We include the use of Southside Fitness Gym, just 3 miles away, for indoor showers & workouts. Charcoal grill, Refrigerator, Microwave, hot pot (for inside hot water), Kuerig coffee maker, WIFI, and Cable TV.
Experience rustic Alaska, yet minutes to the city. Due to the loft and ladder, small children should not stay in the loft.
Safe neighborhood where moose roam, as well as neighbors hike and bike the hills. Car is a must for getting to and from Anchorage attractions, but we are just off the main road, so easy to get to the main roads in Anchorage, the Seward Hwy and Minnesota Drive. Approximately 15" from the airport and 15" from downtown. Since we live on the very south end of Anchorage, we are close to the scenic Seward Highway, & only 30 minutes from Girdwood.
  • As guests the cottage allows you to unwind. We enjoyed the coffee and tea provided to us. While there is a TV we watched little of it. The fresh fruit, chocolates and granola bars was a nice touch. This was my first Air B&B venture and I was not disappointed. Cozy and quaint the cottage was a great get away.

  • Beautiful area. Sue and Mike were extremely friendly and the cabin was lovely.

    Tommy2019-09-08T00:00:00Z
  • If you’re looking for a place to stay in Anchorage, stop looking now and book here. The cottage is adorable, especially the upstairs! The portable toilet was clean, and the gym access (only a few miles away) was a great solution to not having a shower on site. The sink has clean, running water which was perfect for brushing teeth and hand washing. The heater kept the place nice and warm as well. Everything was sparkling clean, it was easy to find, and in a safe location outside the city. (I would not want to stay downtown) Having a car is a must. Sue was a great communicator and even let me check in early since my flight arrived at 4 am. She also let me come see the view and sunset from her balcony which I thought was very nice! Both she and her husband were great people and I’m glad I stayed here. Would definitely return!

  • Very cute cottage in a great location. We really enjoyed our time here.

    Kimberly2019-08-28T00:00:00Z
  • This cute cozy cabin surpassed our expectations! We absolutely loved the property and the cabin itself. It’s away from the city (which we loved) but still close enough to enjoy all of what Anchorage has to offer. Sue and Mike were beyond exceptional hosts! They invited us up to their private deck to enjoy the magnificent views of the city and the mountains! Sue provided us with tips and pointers about exploring all of Alaska. We could not be more impressed with our stay! We cannot thank Sue and Mike enough for our wonderful stay! When we return in the future we will make sure we stay at this cabin!

    Julie2019-08-27T00:00:00Z
  • My friend and I visited Alaska for the first time and absolutely loved this place! Sues place is tucked in the trees on the edge of anchorage in the perfect spot. She has truly thought of everything. We appreciated the blackout curtains, fan, heater, and snacks. It felt like a fun treehouse. Would definitely come back!!

*Great for self-isolation or quarantine - Cabin (connected to house) in S. Anchorage, minutes from the highway, about 15-20 min from airport. We're on a dead end street, on a little over an acre of land w/plenty of space; across the street from a 330 acre park with multi-use trails. We frequently have wildlife around the neighborhood. We have 2 dogs (in kennel) & a hairless cat. 1.4 miles from grocery/clothing stores, fuel, restaurants & bus stops. We would recommend renting a car.
An original Alaskan Homestead cabin, with hand cut logs (& modern upgrades), attached to our home, with a private entrance. The queen bed is a memory foam mattress, and super comfortable. We do have a small futon style couch, and a “Pack and Play” for littles. We have a refrigerator, microwave, Keurig and dishes. For entertainment we have books, dvd's and some games. You can walk or ski the trails and feel like you are miles from town. The cabin feels secluded, yet is minutes from everything you need. Downtown Anchorage has a Performing Arts Center, Museum, great shops and a wonderful variety of restaurants as well as small breweries. We have some national chain stores, as well as many small business, locally owned shops of every sort. There are websites and apps to help you find Northern Lights activity.
We feel we are the "best of both worlds". Quiet, private and secluded feel, but minutes from stores, restaurants, even skiing. We're about 15 minutes from the sights, entertainment and sounds of downtown. It's a beautiful location no matter what time of year. We have wildlife wandering through the property, with an occasional moose bedding down in the yard. Some of our neighborhood favorites food stops are The Flying Dutchman (local Dutch bakery), Taco King (great mexican food), Midnight Sun Brewing Co. Recreation spots are Hilltop Ski Area, great walking/hiking/skiing trails, and the Alaska Zoo! We also have an equestrian event center that's a 2 minute walk through the woods. There are several shows during the summer season. If you want to see Northern Lights, search on the internet for a website, there are multiple sites available. Please check out our GuideBook for several local favorites
  • My son and I had a very nice time staying in Nancy's little cabin. Lots of little thoughtful touches made it really pleasant. We will definitely be staying there again!

    Sara2020-03-02T00:00:00Z
  • Hands down, this is the best Airbnb in Anchorage. Nancy and her husband are fabulous and very kind. They were very helpful with my needs and I am so grateful. The cabin is absolutely adorable, has the most comfortable bed I have ever slept on and Moose just walk down the street. The location is perfect, just a few minutes away from groceries, gas, and stores. I would stay here again in a heartbeat! Seriously, the best in Anchorage!

    Yvette2020-02-22T00:00:00Z

  • Great spot for 1-2 people. Super quiet, clean, and nice space. Really nice place to stay for a couple nights, I would definitely stay there again. As others have mentioned, there is no stove, but there is a microwave and toaster, and most importantly, a coffee maker. Great location too, close to south Anchorage shops including Costco.

  • Nancy’s cabin is super cosy and comfortable. The location is great and very private and we felt at home instantly after checking in. There are so many thoughtful touches that made us just want to sleep in all day and do nothing. Definitely a 5/5 experience!

Welcome to my Home, that I designed and built in August 2015. No I didn't build it entirely myself, I contracted out many parts, but more than half the work was me. I've been doing airbnb since 2016 when I got to the point of a working finished bathroom. Now that's it is 2019, it's 99% compete! If your party is more than two guests or you want more privacy please contact me via message as I can host more than 2 guests with special arrangements.
2 bd 1 ba home on 7 acres on a mountain, can explore the outdoors right from the front door. Memory foam queen sized bed. Not that dark here in the summer but room has dark out blinds, great aurora viewing out the windows here in winter with warm cozy heat from wood stove.
AT&T LTE, Verizon work great, T-mobile works too but roaming. No Sprint cell signal in 99% of Alaska. Get a great jog, ski, mountain bike ride, or pick blueberries in the neighborhood without getting in the car. Great Aurora views from the deck and yard looking North-East, fast internet (rare in this town) and AT&T, Verizon, T-mobile 4G signal!

While seeming remote, it offers full amenities such as unlimited internet, a washer and dryer, a full kitchen and bath and is only 10 minutes from town. This apartment is perfect for a family wanting to experience Fairbanks Alaska without breaking the bank, staying at a crowded downtown hotel or giving up home luxuries.
What sets this place apart from others is that it offers a fantastic view of the Tanana Valley which is perfect for Aurora viewing. It is close to town, yet seems peacefully remote and offers a full kitchen that is well stocked. There is a full bath, a washer and dryer, unlimited internet and a nice deck in a very good neighborhood. This apartment is located in a very desirable, quiet and peaceful neighborhood surrounded by a beautiful boreal forest. The roads are paved offering easy access.
  • I highly recommend booking Daniel's place. It is in a beautiful, quiet location but a quick drive into downtown as well as to other areas. The space is sparkling clean, roomy and has incredible views. Daniel is such a friendly, gracious host; he responds promptly and is happy to answer questions and provide local tips. I will definitely be staying again!

    Susan2020-03-16T00:00:00Z
  • The accommodation is very easy to find. It is sparkling clean and very well equipped. We arrived at night. Dan had brought delicious bread, butter, eggs etc. into the apartment for a midnight snack. We have received great tips for trips and places from Dan. Dan was always available for questions. He cares for his guests. We felt at home with him.

    Jörg2020-03-04T00:00:00Z
  • I highly recommend Sourdough Dan’s place to stay in Fairbanks! Fairbanks is much larger than I expected and Dan’s place is near every thing, yet far enough from the city lights! Stay there you won’t be sorry....

    Michael2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • Absolutely AMAZING! Thank you so much Dan!

    Lily2020-02-02T00:00:00Z
  • Dan's place is excellent for both tourists and locals. Beautiful view, quiet, neat and Daniel is a great host.

  • This airbnb is a must for your stay at fairbanks. We saw the northern lights right outside the balcony and loved the views of the area in the daytime as well. Super cozy and spacious and well heated. Close to everything in town and Daniel was a great host, making sure we had everything we needed and offering suggestions on where to eat and go. One of the most magical trips I’ve ever had. Just go:))

    Shawna2020-01-18T00:00:00Z
  • The best Airbnb experience ever!!! The place was very clean, and we were all very satisfied with the amenities there. The host was very nice and he gave all the important information to enjoy the town. We strongly recommend this place if you coming to Fairbanks. We definitely come back here for the next visit!!!

    Tak2020-01-14T00:00:00Z
  • The male host is very hospitable, and actively cares about and recommends good tourism projects. He is enthusiastic and helps me to contact Hertz about the electric plug and heating of the car. Be careful not to start the next day if it is too cold. The room is very warm, very clean, The fully equipped large kitchen has everything you need for your seasonings. The refrigerator is also equipped with plenty of ingredients, which is very thoughtful. The view of the window and balcony is excellent, and you can directly see the aurora. Very praised choice!

A welcoming, fully furnished, comfortable one bedroom ground floor apartment with plenty of space to relax and enjoy. Located just 2 miles to downtown and a few blocks to the Chester Creek recreation trail. Near bus route 30 which most days passes by Medfra Street every 15 minutes to and from downtown.
A fully furnished, ground floor apartment with HBO, Hulu, and Netflix. The house was originally a single room (what is now the present day kitchen) located in downtown Anchorage. After two additions it was moved to its current location in the early 1970s. The many plants in the yard have been added over the past thirty five years.
  • Great place, very reasonably priced, very clean with nice touches, very convient to everything we needed. Super nice host.

    LeAnn2020-02-19T00:00:00Z
  • Kesh's place was great. It was sparkling clean, inviting, and had all the basic necessities to get by. Check-in was easy.

  • Kesh’s place was so beyond perfect for us. We live in Seward and come to Anchorage now and again for errands, appointments, etc. This place felt like a home away from home, was so cozy and comfortable, and had all the things and more to make a house a home. Not to mention the Hulu is commercial free! :) would recommend to everyone and will be staying again and again.

The treehouse is hidden up in the trees on the property of Alaska’s #1 Rated Hostel - Sven’s Basecamp Hostel. Sven’s Basecamp Hostel is where adventurers in Alaska begin a journey, meet up after a trip, or take a much-needed rest. Mountaineers, amateur naturalist, wilderness guides, motorcyclist, and those looking to explore Alaska find friends and relaxation here like nowhere else in Fairbanks.
Centrally Located between two major ports of entry we are 3.5 miles from Fairbanks International Airport and 3.5 miles from the Fairbanks train station. You will be within a mile of a Fred Meyer food and supply store and minutes away from some of our favorite bars and restaurants where the locals like to go. You’ll love your stay because of the private unique treehouse experience, the meals you will cook and share (likely with new friends) in the community kitchen, and the memories you will probably value for a lifetime. Come alone or bring someone special. We even welcome your furry friends if they are well behaved and welcoming to others. The treehouse has a wooden staircase that leads up to a swinging bridge. There is one room surrounded by a porch on three sides with private seating facing the forest. Inside is a kingsize bed, shelving unit, trashcan, and seating. The bed is fitted with a sheet and pillows. Sleeping bags are provided if needed upon request. The bathroom and quarter-operated shower are conveniently located in our community bath house nearby.
We are fortunate to be tucked into the trees but also close to a road with access to food, supply stores, and nearby entertainment. Guests agree that we have a unique and special location that feels like a summer camp. One of our favorite compliments is when world travelers from Europe to South America tell us that we are one of the best places they have stayed in the United States. That’s a pretty cool thing to hear!
  • A unique experience that we totally enjoyed!

    Crystal2019-09-03T00:00:00Z
  • It was absolutely one of our most unique life experience! The tree house is very well built and I love the simple but elegant interior design of it. Thank you for hosting us!

    Sharon2019-09-02T00:00:00Z
  • Amazing location. We stayed in the treehouse which was a unique experience. Very clean restrooms and showers. Extra amenities throughout were awesome.

    Jennifer2019-09-01T00:00:00Z
  • The treehouse is a really unique experience in a very interesting space - a hostel mixed with a campground vibe. Public spaces were great, clean and cute. Check in was easy and the hosts were really responsive to messages. The treehouse itself is clearly a labor of love: well put together and maintained. It can get a little chilly overnight, but that's to be expected in Fairbanks in the fall. To access and leave the treehouse, you have to climb stairs and go over a rope bridge both ways, but as long as you're comfortable with that, it's a really neat experience.

  • It was so wonderful to stay at Smokey Bay and we had everything we needed for a girls weekend. It was an amazing view to wake up to and have a cup of coffee while we went over what we wanted to do for the day. It’s just out of town enough so you don’t feel like you’re in the middle of everything but close enough you could honestly walk and be right there. We hope to definitely be back either in the off season for Homer or maybe for the summer months. We thank our hosts so much for the accommodations and an absolutely lovely visit!

  • Joe's cabin was an awesome place to spend my weekend in homer. The check-in process was easy as can be, we found the cabin spotlessly clean and very inviting, and the view of Kachemak Bay from the window was excellent. I would definitely stay here again next time I visit Homer.

PLEASE READ OUR GUEST REVIEWS - BECAUSE THAT SAYS IT ALL!!! This new, private apartment is attached to a house that is a winner of the “Alaska Governor’s Award” for energy efficiency and design. Just 10 minutes from the airport, it is located on a very peaceful, premier hillside lot; is in a prime location for viewing the northern lights, and has a SPECTACULAR, PANORAMIC view of the Alaska Range, with a full kitchen. Please note: There are NO ADDITIONAL CHARGES for staying here!
Your space is a brand new apartment and is COMPLETELY private. We just completed this project in January 2018, enjoy new paint, new countertops, new cabinets, new appliances and a new queen mattress. There is a refrigerator, microwave, stovetop/oven and Keurig coffee maker for your use. All floors have radiant heat - very warm and cozy, especially in winter.
Our neighborhood is very quiet and peaceful. All the homes are relatively new, and on 2 acre wooded lots. Our home is on a cul-de-sac, so there is NO traffic! There are xc ski and hiking trails adjacent to our subdivision!
  • Jim's place is clean and cozy with everything you could possibly want in an Airbnb. We thoroughly enjoyed the view, the comfy couch, and the heated floor during our stay. Jim had the Keurig machine stocked with coffee, tea, and hot chocolate. Nothing beats having a cup of hot chocolate at night while trying to catch a glimpse of the aurora. However, this story isn't without drama. Unfortunately, being the fair-weather Californian that I am, I decided to rent a front wheel drive sedan with all season tires to traverse the Alaskan winter. This resulted in my car being snowed-in and unable to make it up the sloped driveway on the morning we were scheduled to leave Fairbanks. When Jim found out my fiancee and I had missed our flight, he immediately offered to let us stay the night at his place at no cost! Fortunately we were able to secure seats on a later flight so we didn't need to take Jim up on his offer. The moral of the story is this: stay at Jim's place because he is an amazing host that will take care of you. And also, please do yourself a favor and rent an all wheel drive vehicle. 5 stars!

    Shaun2020-03-10T00:00:00Z
  • Jim’s place is perfect! Located just outside of Fairbanks, there is easy access to all things touristy (Aurora viewing spots included!) The place is clean, modern and oh-so-comfy for the chilly Fairbanks winters.

    Anna2020-03-07T00:00:00Z
  • This place is awesome! It’s quiet, warm and cozy, and has an amazing view. Jim is super friendly and accommodating. He also gave us lots of local tips and made our trip even more enjoyable. Highly recommend!

    Ying2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • Unfortunately had to cancel at last minute due to cancelled flight, but will rebook - Jim was a great communicator, very responsive and kind. He provided lots of local information for me, and even suggested great places to photograph the aurora. I will be rescheduling for later this year - thanks Jim!

    David2020-02-28T00:00:00Z
  • Jim was a perfect host! Him and his wife sent us great suggestions for sight-seeing! His place was in a great, safe location-about 15/20 minutes from bars and stores. I had a sore throat during my trip and Jim gave me some of their home-made honey! It was amazing! The little apartment had shampoo, tea, and many more little surprises for us :). thanks for a great stay, Jim!

    Jessica2020-02-25T00:00:00Z
  • Jim is a superhost and it shows! We had an Airbnb that was not up to par, so we needed to leave and Jim's place was available at the last minute. What a score...we got lucky. The view is incredible, he's full of local tips, the space is very comfortable and he is just a very nice, welcoming person. I'd recommend this gem to anyone!!

    Heather2020-02-20T00:00:00Z
  • This was a beautiful place, easy to get to from the airport, very clean and Jim is a generous and friendly host.

    Denise2020-02-17T00:00:00Z
  • The location was perfect. A quick drive to the grocery store or to go to dinner, but far enough away to feel like you’re getting away from it all. The view of the sunrise from the home was beautiful. The apartment was clean and easy to get to.

Our cozy home in the woods sits on a trail system that connects all major points of interest in Talkeetna. Cross Country skiing, walking, mountain biking and running are all right out our door. And we're just 5 minutes from downtown by car or taxi. We now have a ski and bike rental shop in town, so winter fun just got a boost!! And, we at Oakley Inn have 2 fat tire bikes for you to enjoy.
It's really, really comfy. The perfect spot for a dinner party after a day of adventure outside. Or relax before heading in to town. We have all you need. A fully stocked kitchen is all yours. Beds for 8 adults. A fireplace. Two showers. A bathtub!! And a bbq grill on the deck.
Our home is in a hilly forest with a trail running through our property. A 7 mile loop takes you past Christianson lake and the Talkeetna River Overlook Trail. The Talkeetna Lakes Park is only a mile away and has a great trail winding through 5 lakes and hills, fun for walking, running, mountain biking, swimming (that's right), fishing, canoeing, and stand up paddle boarding. If you're wanting to Stand up Paddle, let us know. We're going to do tours beginning the summer of 2019.
  • Was a great winter trip!

  • Wonderful clean and cozy home in a superb location. A tiny drive to town and to the XYZ trailhead, we managed to jump to the hostel/cafe for a treat and cart our xcountry gear to the lakes with ease. The house is clean and is impressively well built - definitely some extra thought and care went in to the construction of this place. We had 4 adults and a baby sleep here with ease. The 3rd-floor loft is a bit steep for those with height issues, but the climb up the ladder is worth the view! Highlights: stocked kitchen with way more than the basics (bring dollars to donate- honor system), moose bedding in the backyard, large dining room table for feasts/games, 2 full bathrooms!

    Megan2020-02-24T00:00:00Z
  • EXCELLENT place that feels like home! Definitely recommend if you are in the area and want to escape to the woods.

  • Tim and Liz’s cabin is the perfect cozy cabin get away! The views from the abundance of windows are incredible and the books tucked away in all the window nooks make even the most active bodies want to lay around and get lost in a good read. This cabin comfortably sleeps 8 and has two living rooms for mingling. Highly recommend.

  • This house is in such a great location. Near lakes for fishing and close to downtown Talkeetna for a quick trip to town. There is close access to snow machine trails which was awesome. The house was clean & ready for us to use. Speakers in the house to play music was a nice touch. Loved that we had WiFi and a TV for the evenings. There are books galore to get lost in and a cozy fireplace to use if we wanted. Thank you!

The money you save can be used to enjoy going out to eat at one of the many incredible restaurants in Homer or going on an adventure on Kachemak Bay. Most people love the cottage, but if you expect more frills from your stay, you might look at a more expensive option in Homer. That being said, we, and most of our guests feel our cottage is very cozy and very well equipped to help you stretch your dollars to the max while still being quite comfortable. The cottage includes a kitchen complete with plenty of counter space for preparing meals along with a variety of dinner wear and utensils. It also includes a table top oven, electric burner and microwave for preparing meals. It also includes a nice mid-sized fridge and freezer for your convenience. To maximize the space it also includes a rolling island with stools for extra counter space or to enjoy a meal with guests. The bathroom has a view of Kachemak Bay and will suit most guests needs. We also include coffee, tea and granola bars which are complimentary items to help guests get through their first morning at the cottage. There is a fridge provided should you need additional food or beverage items. There are two conveniently located grocery stores in the heart of downtown Homer where you can find such items. The cottage is nestled just below Karen Hornaday Park which includes a world class playground for young children that has to be seen to believe. Just minutes away, there are several very tasty coffee shops, the Homer Movie Theatre, art galleries, Alice's Champagne Palace and other pubs, Cosmic Kitchen, The Pratt Museum and much more! It can sleep 3 in two separate beds and has a very cozy little deck to sit out on and enjoy the view of Kachemak Bay. For those of you who still need to be in contact with the outside world, high speed WiFi is included!
The location of our tiny cottage is unmatched. It's rare to find such a small cozy cottage in the heart of downtown Homer. It truly is within walking distance of a variety of amazing and historical locations in Homer.

  • The tiny house was great! We stayed for just one night on a weekend visit from anchorage. It was just what we needed and was the cutest little place. We would definitely stay again next time we’re in Homer!

  • My girlfriend and I needed a trip away from all the hubbub, so we travelled to Homer for the weekend and I can't say how pleased we were to be able to stay in this lovely Tiny House. Everything was thoughtfully paired, all spaces were used wonderfully and efficiently, and the view was amazing. Special side note, the loft bed offered the perfect amount of privacy even with the curtains open, and it was so comfy. Not to mention how quickly Dylan responded to any questions I had. Highly recommend a stay here!

    Aidan2020-02-17T00:00:00Z
  • The Tiny House is perfectly located. Bathroom spotless and plenty of towels. Kitchen had two burner appliance, toaster oven, small fridge (w separate door for freezer), and sink. Artwork and furniture all thoughtfully chosen. The loft is accessed by a lockable sliding ladder affixed to the edge of the loft (very safe). Not a lot of headroom in loft area, but perfectly fine for sitting in bed and for sleeping comfortably Superb communication. I stayed for six nights. Would stay again.

It may be old and tiny, but this cabin is budget friendly and located one street off Main Street right in the heart of downtown Talkeetna. Price includes 5% bed tax and 3% sales tax. Queen and full sized beds, satellite TV, kitchenette and 3/4 bath. Covered porch. Walk to rivers and shops. Pets on approval with $10 pet fee.
  • Sarah's place is AMAZING! You could not ask for a better location in town - it is right by historic downtown's main street and off on a separate road. You can walk to the river and catch a glimpse of Denali or walk to any of the local shops and restaurants. The house is cute, comfortable, super clean, and well stocked. It really is just a cute and delightful place to stay!

    Kate2020-03-14T00:00:00Z
  • I have stayed with Sarah several times and always have a lovely visit! This is a great space. Look forward to our next visit.

    Shannon2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • Sarah's cabin was exactly what we were looking for! We took the railroad into town & Sarah even had someone waiting for us to drive us to the cabin! (We had planned to walk the mile or so, but this was an amazing surprise!) Talkeetna is a tiny town, & and the cabin was in the middle of everything, super easy to walk everywhere. Everything you could need was provided, & the beds were so cozy. By far the most adorable place I have ever stayed! Thank you so much for everything Sarah, if we are ever back we will stay here again!!!

    Amanda2020-02-28T00:00:00Z
  • This cabin is absolutely adorable and even cuter than it looks like in the pictures. The location couldn't be more perfect, and Sarah was responsive and super accommodating during our stay. Everything was easy from start to finish. The space was REALLY clean, and I'm a bit of a clean freak. I would recommend this cabin to anyone visiting Talkeetna, and hope to stay here again soon!

Let this stylish chalet be your home base during your stay in Fairbanks. 12 minutes from the airport, and 15 minutes from downtown. Enjoy amazing views of the Alaska Range and Chena River. Explore Chena Ridge with your very own trail through the birch forest behind the house. This listing is for an entire 3 bedroom home on 2 acres of forest. All roads to the Chalet are paved. Although the property is only 15 minutes from downtown, the higher elevation keeps it 20+ degrees warmer in winter.
The Chalet is in a lovely neighborhood with awesome views of the Alaska Range. It is about a 12 minute drive from the airport, and 15 minutes from downtown. Corona Virus Protection Measures: The Chalet has Ionic Air Purifiers on both levels of the home. Common spaces are all hardwood floors with leather couches. All are thoroughly wiped down between reservations. The public transportation system is pretty sparse in Fairbanks, so I highly recommend you have a vehicle. I have a small fleet of late model SUVs, all 4WD and equipped with snow tires during the winter season. Please ask if you are interested in a vehicle during your stay. I would have one available for you at the Airport Park and Fly with 24hr shuttle and check in service. The house has a heated garage so you can keep your vehicle cozy at night too. I may not be present during your arrival. However, There is a lockbox next to the garage. You will receive the code upon booking. Although requests for this are rare, I do allow pets upon prior approval. In these situations I must incur a $35-$50 per trip, per pet fee to account for the extra cleaning from pet hair. Chena Ridge is probably the nicest residential area of Fairbanks if you like awesome mountain and river views. There are nice walking & cycling trails in the area. In fact one right in back of the house. In winter, the property will stay 20+ degrees warmer than downtown. The skies also remain clear of the ice fog that prevents aurora viewing in lower elevations
Chena Ridge is probably the nicest residential area of Fairbanks if you like awesome Mountain and River views. There are nice walking & cycling trails in the area - one right in back of my house. I am only 12 minutes from the airport!
  • Excellent basecamp from which to explore Fairbanks! The home had everything we needed and more!!

  • Chalet is in a great private location with great view. Exceeded expectations, Nicole is a great host and made our stay seamless.

    Sam2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • Such an amazing place with a great view! Nicole is super sweet and even made time in her day to come out and shovel the snow in the driveway for us. Had an amazing time and hope to make it back again!

    Cailan2020-03-04T00:00:00Z
  • Excellent location and value, and Nicole is incredibly communicative. We had some clear days and it was wonderful to have morning coffee and look out the big windows at the Alaska range. Close enough to town for convenience, but far enough away to feel secluded and quiet. Beds are very comfortable, nice common area. Would definitely stay again!

  • Great place to stay location is a big plus.

    Sonia2020-02-23T00:00:00Z

    Chanpen2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • Nicole is so helpful! Her house was great and spacious. We ended up cooking quite a bit at the house. It’s not a far drive from town. 1.5 hours from Chena hot-springs and 40 minutes from Murphy’s dome to view the northern lights. If you have a 4 wheel drive vehicle you won’t run into problems getting there. Heated garage was amazing!

    Samantha2020-02-16T00:00:00Z

Barn Swallow Bungalow is located in what we believe to be the perfect Fairbanks location. We are in a quiet neighborhood near the Chena River, accessible by an unpaved, but well maintained country road only 10 minutes from the airport. Our neighborhood provides ample privacy with access to a variety of eateries and stores within walking, biking or short driving distances. Only 7 minutes from a major grocery/shopping center, and only 1 mile or 3 minutes from two lovely local restaurants, the Pump House and Lemongrass Thai Cuisine. In the same 2 mile vicinity we have a convenient store (Just-a-Store), Lulus Bread and Bagels for coffee, breakfast and lunch items. University of Alaska Fairbanks is 10 minutes away, along with the Tanana Valley Farmers Market, and various other restaurants and shops. Our small downtown is a mere 15 minutes drive. If you are venturing to Alaska in the winter months to view the aurora, we are located very close a few out-of-town viewing areas, but you can also see "the lights" right from the cabin. Fairbanks boasts some of the best skiing conditions in the world, as our snow is very dry and fluffy. 10 minutes from the property at University of Alaska Fairbanks are lovely, groomed cross-country ski trails available to the public that span miles and miles. If you enjoy downhill skiing, Moose Mountain is a 20 minute drive away with excellent skiing conditions and spectacular views. We are happy to provide maps and lists of local eateries, stores and places of interests during your stay.

  • It was actually bigger than I expected and super precious. The place is a very intimate place with how closed in it is but I absolutely loved it. Also we asked Jamelle if it was ok to check out a couple hours later the day of check out and she was super accommodating! Especially since we were just so exhausted from a long drive and had to drive back to anchorage. Highly recommend booking her place for a romantic getaway!

  • Beth is an above and beyond hostess and the rental was immaculate. Perfect location between town and the valley. Our family thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. Highly recommended.

  • This apartment is above and beyond many that we’ve stayed in... the bathrooms and kitchen especially are so gorgeous! The layout is perfect and the price is so reasonable, it’s a beautiful nurturing space. We will definitely stay here again.

  • The apartment is very nice - just as it appears in the pictures. I really enjoyed the premium coffee. I'll definitely stay there the next time I'm in Juneau.

  • We had a lovely stay in this beautiful apartment. Everything was very stylish and high quality. We didn't have a car but Taxi and bus services into town were very easy and frequent. Beth was very responsive and helpful. Having the Breeze-In next door was ideal We can definitely recommend this place!

  • Excellent host and lovely apartment. Juneau is a great place to stay, and even though this is in a fairly industrial area it was great to be centrally located between downtown and the airport.

  • Beth went above and beyond for my family. She knew I was spending Christmas with my kids and she prepared the space with Christmas decorations and even two stockings. How thoughtful!! This space was perfect for a family of 4. Having a full kitchen helped keep costs down on eating out and gave us more quality time together hanging out together. The apartment had everything we needed and we couldn’t have asked for a better space, yet alone, host! Thanks again, Beth! We will see you again, hopefully next December!

  • We are Juneau locals (living in Anchorage) and we needed a place to gather family for the holidays and Beth’s place was perfect for what we needed! The apartment was clean, complete with amenities, and had a homey feel. The rooms were very spacious. The kitchen was amazing! Big and complete with everything we needed. As a bonus, it was already decorated with Christmas decor which made for some great family photos. Also, such nice bath towels! And having a washer/dryer was a plus! Checkin was super easy. Beth was very responsive. Our guests were impressed and already had asked for recommendations. Would definitely recommend this place to anyone. As a Juneau local, we love Breeze-In so it being so close made even more enjoyable for us. Thank you Beth for your wonderful home!

  • Central location, spacious and clean -- a real diamond when compared to the majority of properties available in Juneau. We'll be back!
