Aimee and Peter are amazing people. My partner and I had an extremely enjoyable stay in the lookout. The space was cozy and the amenities were perfect. Make sure to utilize the hot tub! We had a great time sharing the kitchen while still having privacy in the lookout and going on hikes. Again, kind and wonderful people and the dreamiest airbnb we've stayed in so far. My husband and I had a great stay at Aimee and Peter's charming little lookout. The room is pretty small - maybe 10x10 - but almost an entire wall is glass with an amazing view, and two of the other three walls have windows, too. You are literally surrounded by nature, and it's pretty amazing. The private beach is a quick walk down the hill - less than five minutes - and the hot tub was a delightful luxury. Aimee and Peter are such sweet and gracious hosts; they made us toast and coffee, and gave us lots of suggestions for local places to visit. Their home is so beautiful and connected to nature. We felt lucky to have found their place and had such a great experience staying with them. Things to be aware of: their property is right next to some train tracks, so we were awakened during the night a few times by the train. Also, it's a bit of a trek to the bathroom, which is located in the main house. While it's not a long trek, it does require putting on shoes, going out in the chill, then taking off shoes again once you're in the main house. For our one night stay it didn't bother us too much, but it would probably start to matter for a longer stay.

I booked the lookout for one night only, and the moment I arrived I knew I had to come back again for a longer stay. As you can imagine from the pictures this is a gorgeous place, but by far pictures cannot capture how stunning the cabin and its surroundings are. When I arrived the house was empty, but the hosts made sure everything was prepared for me. I started exploring and fell in love even more after discovering the small beach right below the lookout. Taking a bath in the hot tub below the trees in the darkness was a very special experience as well for me. And the lookout gets even better thanks to its hosts: I met Aimee, Peter and their son Evan, who made me feel more than welcome at their place and shared their time with me in very interesting discussions. My short stay only allowed for a quick hike to a nearby beach the next day, which made me want to come back and explore the area even more. Thanks so much, and hope to see you again soon.

Aimee and Peter were warm, welcoming, and very flexible/easy-going. Although we are Airbnb Hosts ourselves, we'd never stayed as Guests before. This was an impeccable first experience. We booked a last minute one night getaway on the morning of our stay, and they were exceptionally quick to reply and confirm availability. We arrived in the late evening and Aimee and Peter were home to welcome us and show us around their home, which was beautiful and bright. Their K-9 companion Gus was an absolute doll and he was definitely one of the many highlights of our stay (along with the hot tub!). The Lookout is small, cozy, and comfortable, with a breathtaking West Coast view from inside, or from the deck with seating provided. It's really other-worldly to wake up to if you're used to a city view. We highly recommend staying at the Lookout and we will certainly be back again, perhaps to checkout their other listing. Don't forget a rain coat!

This is a cozy, comfortable spot. The beach is across the road with lots of waterfowl to keep you entertained. I saw great blue herons fishing and watched the Canadian geese go through their morning bathing routine. The main cabin and Outback cottage were both clean and well appointed. We had what we needed in the kitchen and spent many hours on the back patio. I would love to go back again.

In a word this place is magical. Being surrounded by the elegant garden and adjacent marsh, full of birds and deer, is truly sublime. This house is so tastefully decorated and stocked with fine touches that we were still discovering new details days into our stay. The beds and bedding were cozy and comfortable, further facilitating what was just an incredibly relaxing time. Proximity to the beach and being walking distance to Eastsound are also pluses. Though we were traveling as a family, it's worth noting how romantic the setting is and I think this would be a great couple's retreat. For those looking to get out in nature, there's a kayak rental place next door and it's just a short drive to Moran State Park, where we spent time swimming at Cascade Lake and hiking up to the summit of Mt. Constitution which has amazing views of the surrounding islands and mainland Washington & British Columbia.

Chris and Amy's place is comfortable and well located. After a day of hiking, we were happy to relax on the porch. And the studio itself was just the right size, with everything we needed. Thanks!

Although we never crossed paths, Chris and his wife went out of their way to make us feel welcome. The little house was perfect for our one night on Bellingham, an easy walk from downtown and the piers, and plenty of parking for our car we used to venture further out.

We had a wonderful stay in the Seaside Forest studio. The studio was gorgeous and we loved sleeping amongst the trees. It was great to meet Peter and wonderful to have all of our host's recommendations for hiking and biking before we arrived. We only wish that we could have stayed longer.

Aimee and Peter were great hosts! We are 3 architects, so obviously we were really interested in the design of all their buildings, and Peter and Aimee even gave us a tour of their main house. We had a very relaxing stay. The couch converts into a very comfortable bed and the loft bed is really cool.

Aimee and Peter's studio and their property was the highlight of our weekend in Bellingham/Chuckanut area. The studio is a beautiful and stylish space -- comfortable, relaxing, and inspiring. So many views on the surrounding trees and greenery! The hanging loft is wonderfully cozy in the morning, and a fantastic place to nap when the sun is pouring in through the windows in the afternoon. Well-appointed kitchen and bookshelf, and we so enjoyed the hot tub too. Aimee and Peter were the perfect hosts. We are hoping to return soon!

We appreciated how Aimee texted us the day we arrived with specific instructions. She even provided sparkling water and cookie dough in the fridge! The studio was exactly as advertised. We absolutely loved staying there. The amount of privacy was much appreciated as well. Aside from the train noise (which we knew about), the location/neighborhood was quiet and peaceful. We enjoyed being just a short walk from so many trails!

This forest studio is beautiful inside and out. We thought the pictures actually made it look smaller then it turned out to be. It's perfect for one or two people maybe even 3 if you all like each other a lot before arrival. ;-) It was SUPER clean and warm upon our arrival. Aimee and Peter already had the makings of a fire ready for us to simply light a match when we were ready to do so. When Aimee realized the wood we were given was too wet she immediately removed those logs and replaced it all with fresh dry wood. Even before our arrival Aimee sent us perfect directions and suggestions on stoping though a little town on our way up that has the most amazing bakery and wonderful small town vibes and art. Upon our arrival Peter was super welcoming and warm. We arrived in later afternoon and Peter was super sweet suggesting a few possibilities for local hikes to take in the early evening light and spring weather. Aimee too on our second day was SUPER helpful and knowledgable on where to hike depending on what type of scenery, distance and rigor. Otherwise they were very hands off and only around if we asked or needed something. The studio itself is sooooo beautiful and well kept. We purposefully arrived ready to cook our own organic full course meals and really to just get away from the city and people in general and this location was perfect. The kitchen made cooking easy and wonderfully fun. The fridge is huge and clean. Not only did they have complementary fresh coffee beans (the one thing we forgot....gasp!!!) but they had a selection of teas, seasonings, and other small surprises for our use. Throughout the house are wonderful little notes and homemade and/or organic soaps, salves, lotions. The shower....oh the shower is marvelously clean (one of us is a germ-a-phobe) but there was no fear, it was like the shower had never been used!! ;-) The tree lined loft - is so amazing and since you are in the woods, super quite at night except for the occasional and oddly soothing train running though the canyon below. It is super bright in the am but well worth waking up to a camp like experience from the ease of a super comfortable well blanketed and pillowed bed. On our last day we wished we could stay at least one more day. We will definitely be staying here again and cannot say enough good things about the property, the owners, the area and the overall experience.

The cabin was clean and cozy with a fantastic view. We enjoyed watching the hummingbirds and listening to the towhees in the morning. The bed was comfortable. We really appreciated the treats.

Libby's place is wonderful!! Beautiful views and close to Anacortes & Deceptions Pass. Libby was quick and easy to communicate and even allowed us to check in a half hour early. I almost don't want to write this review because I don't want other people knowing about this Airbnb - it's really beautiful! Cozy spot, but not really good for groups bigger then 3.

Libby's place is easy to find, convenient to several sight seeing places. The view is spectacular! The bed is very comfortable. The place is clean. Libby thinks of the little things to make your stay comfortable. After checking in we never saw our host, so we enjoyed the privacy. Hope to come back again!!

This place was great. Very affordable, quiet little studio cabin with a spectacular view. We saw a bald eagle within minutes of arriving. The hosts were very respectful of our privacy, but were also very accessible if we had questions about the area. No TV in the cabin and nothing to walk to around it, but if you want solitude and a view, this is the place.

A private cottage on the water. Really a dream location and wonderful accommodation.Libby has thought of every welcoming and convenient detail.The photos don't do it justice. We had sun, thunder, and rain and we enjoyed all from the Eagle's Nest. Slept at night with the window open and the sounds of the water lapping on the beach below. This wonderful airbnb would cost twice as much in the San Juans. A true gem.

The view! As you enter Libby's property to the cabin you are greeted by the most amazing view. Although the cabin is in the backgarden you are well secluded and Libby and her husband after greeting you and showing you around, leave you to your own devices. The cabin is super cozy and has everything you need. There is even seats with blankets to sit outside and watch the sunset. Plus homemade cookies and muffins on arrival! The cabin is great location to get on the ferry to San Juan Islands making it great place to base yourself.

The apartment is very clean and well furnished located in a prime location and within walking distance to great restaurants and shops. With Saralee's recommendation, we ate at Fat Pie Pizza, probably one of the best pizza we ever had. Saralee and Jerry are extremely friendly. They received us with charming. We had a good talk with them, great people with great personality. All the information you need for a wonderful stay is provided for you in a well organized manual. we loved our hosts and the city with its friendly people.

I had a very enjoyable and comfortable stay last weekend at Saralee and Jer's studio. The space is as shown in the pictures and it was great to have Internet access. ~~~ Our paths crossed just briefly when Saralee showed me around the space as I got settled in and then again as I was preparing to take my leave yet it was easy to feel a warm connection with both of them. It was nice to have organic fruit and other breakfast things. Saralee had also left a slice of homemade cake (from Jer's birthday celebration). I enjoyed the reading material and a bathroom with a beautiful om symbol in the tile design was somehow quite fitting for my weekend. ~~~ I was in Bellingham to participate in a 12-hour workshop on Saturday and staying over the night before and after made my experience so much nicer. I was blessed with how everything just fell into place effortlessly with finding a lovely space — a huge thank you to airbnb and Saralee & Jer! ~~~ On Sunday, before I headed back to Seattle, I got to explore the area near their home. Truly, within just a few blocks you can get to a vibrant neighborhood with coffee shops, restaurants and bookstores. ~~~ I hope to treat myself to another stay when I am up in Bellingham again this Fall. There were many unintrusive yet personal touches that make staying here very special.

We enjoyed out stay in Bellingham with Saralee and Jerry very much. The location was great and the muffins were a welcome surprise. Saralee was especially helpful in recommending places to eat and things to do. We hope to visit again.

Adorable Fairhaven was a cosy comfortable place to spend a night! I wish we could have stayed longer. If we get back to Fairhaven, we will surely hope to stay there again, so we can get to know the Bellingham area a bit better. Thanks Saralee and Jerry!

What a satisfying way to celebrate Bob's birthday ... exploring Bellingham and the entire neighborhood and beach or hiking trails at Mt. Baker ... then coming "home" to a relaxing and beautiful soak in the gigantic hot tub ... even that evening when the rain was torrential! What a magical place, with the large windows looking out on the beautiful stream, the truly comfortable bed, the fully stocked kitchen which made yummy breakfasts easy and cozy, the fun out-door shower ... the general ambiance which made our stay warm and "tucked in!" As fellow Airbnb hosts, it was good to discuss our mutual "constant work in progress" modes and exciting to hear Alison's future plans for an already fascinating and renewing setting!

Alison was more than accommodating to our last minute request and we're so grateful! At a time when we really needed it this cozy little getaway was the perfect quick retreat. The bay view and getting to see salmon in the creek below the cottage was serene. The Hobbit House was the perfect little house for a dreamy get away! Beautiful setting...the stream runs right outside the bedroom and kitchen windows. So peaceful. Alison was an amazing host and she has a beautiful property. She was quick to answer my questions by phone and email and was available throughout the weekend for anything I needed. Alison and the Hobbit Hole were simply fantastic. We had record lows during our stay, which made the warm and cozy dwelling even more so. Plenty of blankets, though the space was heated perfectly. It was so relaxing to wake up to a few straggling salmon making their way up Chuckanut creek, mere feet form the bedroom window. The same for the egrets and gulls on the north end of the bay just outside the french doors. The hot tub was a superb touch in the cold december air. The kitchen was expertly stocked for its size and was lots of fun to cook in it. Alison's chicken produce some mighty fine yolks. I suggest poached, on rosemary english muffins (that's a keeper, Alison!). I'm glad to call Alison a friend now, and look forward to seeing her and her family again soon.

We loved the hobbit gateway. Alison is a lovely lady. She welcomed us and gave a quick overview of the house and garden. She generously gave us farm fresh eggs. Me and husband had a very relaxed vacation away from city life. We loved the garden, the hot tub and of course the cats! Sabrina and Tommy checked on us every now and then. After coming home we are truly missing the lovely cats. We will definitely get back to the hobbit house again.

The Hobbit House is everything that it promises. I was lucky to have sunny weather, but the one time it rained, the cottage was so cozy and warm and comfy. The compost toilet is a breeze really, and it a good opportunity to raise awareness about why a teeny inconvenience is so powerfully environmentally wise. Alison is a great hostess and made me feel very welcome. Her garden kept me in a constant supply of the most delicious little tomatoes ever. One thing: the shower is in the house; that was a little hard for me because i did not want to invade her private space, but it was MY issue, Alison did everything to help a non -neurotic person feel just fine about it .:)

My girlfriend and I spent a cozy evening at the very accurately named Cozy Little House. Hosts were welcoming, easy going and communication was quick. Such a great place that is very close to everything you need in Fairhaven and Bellingham but you feel far from it all. Space is perfect and cozy without feeling small or cramped. Very well appointed with TV/DVD, full kitchen, etc. Looking forward to coming back sometime soon!

Great spot--our second stay here. Nice improvements with the sunshade on the patio and card table and chairs for board games with our 12-year-old nephew who loved the loft and the efficient design of the house (as do we!). What a perk to have the Chuckanut Forest trail so closeby--and blackberries down the street!

This was a perfect place to stay - cozy, comfortable and had everything we needed. Easy check in (we had a long drive and weren't sure on arrival time), quiet location, great patio and friendly hosts.

We had an awesome weekend at the Little House! It was a perfect place for us and our son who attends WWU to hang out and relax together. The kitchen and bathroom were both good sized and we like being able to use the interurban trail to walk to downtown Fairhaven. This is so much nicer than staying in a hotel! Barry and Crina were great! They pretty much left us alone, but were available by telephone.

Wonderful place and perfect location. So much to do in this area you just can't fit it all in unless you stay longer. Hoping to do that next year! Quiet and lovely. Kate's place is in a quiet, rural setting but an easy drive to downtown Mount Vernon and the tulip fields. Kate was a pleasure to meet and talk to. the accommodations are clean and comfortable. the resident kitty is sweet and friendly. highly recommend for a solo traveler.

Great for solo travelers on a budget! It was the perfect location to check out the Tulip festival from (basically in Kate's backyard). Kate was super flexible and easy to communicate with, the bed was comfy and she has great toiletries set out for guests. Would recommend to anyone looking for a cozy spot or stopover on a road trip!

Cosy home on quiet rural road. I felt very at home; like visiting a friend or relative. Kate is easy going and friendly. Sharing bath was no problem at all. House is a bit dated but wifi is super fast. Cat is sweet.

If you are visiting Fairhaven, Kristi's historic apartment is exceptional. It's located near everything in the historic district, footsteps away from several awesome restaurants and brew pubs. While the architecture may look a bit odd from the outside, the inside will exceed your expectations - it did ours! Kristi was great in terms of giving us detailed instructions and recommendations. We recommend this apartment at the top of our list!

Kristi's Place is a block away from the center of Fairhaven and within walking distance of Boulevard Park. The space is secure, clean, and pleasing. Everything works, including Kristi, who provides you with clear instructions without getting in your (URL HIDDEN) fact, we never met her face to face, but only received her texts on the spot...suspecting that she was merely a block away - ready to assist.

Great location and Kristi communicated well. We intend to stay here again!

The vacation rental was just perfect for us. We enjoyed many things about it: the location and easy walk downtown; the wonderful touches that show off Kristi's good taste (lovely counter tops, gorgeous fixtures, nice blinds, etc.); the local coffee left for us; the fans running prior to our arrival because of the heat! Kristi was terrific about keeping in touch and making sure everything was working out smoothly. Her notes, directions and tourist info were very helpful and thoughtful. Kristi was a top notch hostess!

I have never written a review for any product or service... but I wanted to give a big shout out for Kristi. She was a great host and you could see her warmth and attentiveness to detail in all of her communication as well as in the apartment itself. We were just delighted with the clean, well appointed decor - the security, the comfortable bed, and the thoughtful touches - like fresh, locally roasted coffee beans and the directive to leave our dirty dishes in the sink when we leave because. "You're on vacation!!!" Our only regret was that we didn't have time to finish the autobiography of Rachel Dratch (SNL) that we were reading to each other - we had to leave it there until next time!

My husband and I absolutely loved out stay at Caroline's beautiful home. We were provided everything could need for a great stay. The bed was cozy and the bedroom was quaint and relaxing. We had another couple with us and the space was more than enough to allow for privacy. Caroline's apartment is a true gem. It's well-equipped for just about any need, super clean and the location central and convenient. Caroline was very quick at responding and was super thorough, leaving me feeling confident in my choice. There was even a personalized welcome sign and a couple chocolates on the bedroom pillows—nice touch! Would definitely recommend Caroline's when staying in Bellingham.

Really great place! It rained (of course) during most of our trip but it was so nice to be able to take advantage of the cozy home and scenery!

My stay at Caroline's place was fantastic! The location was ideal, being only a few minutes from the downtown area, and the apartment was clean, picturesque, and basically just as it was described. We had a wonderful time staying in Caroline's lovely home. The upstairs apartment was just as described and very clean! We felt right at home as soon as we walked in. It was also really convenient utilizing the keypad lock system, so that we didn't have to track down and keep up with a key. Caroline also provided plenty of coffee, tea, and breakfast cookies, which was so nice to have! We would definitely stay here again and would also recommend it to anyone staying in Bellingham!

Caroline's apartment was great. Three of us stayed here and it was very comfortable. This is in a nice quiet neighborhood, good parking, safe area. We used the kitchen one night and had everything we needed to cook with. The whole apartment was clean and check-in/check-out was smooth. Definitely recommend this AirBnb!

Cindy's place is a unique gem. You will be about a mile from running or biking on the Interurban trail and about a mile from all the shops, dining, and history situated in the Fairhaven district. Cindy is super responsive and takes the time to add that extra special touch. I could not have found a better place to stay leading into the Chuckanut 50k.

This was the perfect place to stay for our friends' wedding at Lairmont Manor. We were so lucky to stay there with our puppy Togo.

Great space! Loved the location — just streets away from the adorable downtown Fairhaven. The studio has everything you need and wonderfully done/decorated. There is an event venue directly behind the studio/home but we noticed we couldn't hear the music once the door was shut. The bed is on the opposite side of the door and where the event venue is located, so you can't hear the noise. Highly recommend if you're looking for a cozy, very comfortable, and relaxing stay in Bellingham.

Peggy's Orchard Studio is spotlessly clean, cozy, and has everything you need for one night to/from the ferry. It would also be a great home base to explore the Anacortes area for a few days. Comfy bed and very accessible shower stall with built in seat, which was helpful because I broke my leg a few weeks ago. Definitely far exceeded my experiences with local hotels! Peggy is a great host also!

Easily the cleanest and most quiet Air BnB we have ever stayed in, decorated by Peggy's lovely artwork. Keyless entry, super comfy bed, quality shower, and so quiet. What more could you want? Peggy was fast with communication and flexible to our needs. Recommended!

September 5, 2017 If ever in the Seattle area, Anacortes should be on your list to visit. Absolutely breathtaking. To satisfy my craving for clam chowder, Peggy suggested Anthony's (on the harbor)- yummy. Peggy also suggested Washington Park and Deception Pass- both are breathtaking. Downtown is small and quaint but offers a selection of restaurants and several breweries. Great area and a great studio- best to experience for yourself. Thanks Peggy.

Real close to the ferry. New and clean unit. Loved the smell from the pine. Brochures and books including a local foods guide was a nice touch!

Lindsy and Eli's place was fantastic! It was spacious and clean. The vintage character was super cool and the bed was exceptionally comfy. Perfect for if youre exploring the area or just wanting to relax in the lounge area! Tonnes of great, cafes, restraunts and bars around within a decent walking distance and brilliant coffee just around the corner. Would recommend staying here if youre heading to Bellingham, we absolutely loved it.

What a great place and can't beat the location right next to the Main Street of shops and restaurants. Loved it! Would stay here again.

If you are looking for a great getaway from the daily grind this is the place. The apartment is immaculate, comfortable and the host leaves great snacks. Located a stones thrown from the main town strip it is great for those who just want to relax and enjoy small town hospitality. This place is also a great jump off point for those who want to take a ferry to the islands in the sound. Can't say enough good things about Dave, the host, so just take my word and book this place.

Dave's place is an absolute gem. As others have noted, the photos do not do it justice. The place has plenty of character, is clean, centrally located, in walking distance to everything, and has all the amenities that you may need (and some). We especially enjoyed the large windows and the lovely private deck. Not to mention that you can't beat the price! Dave made check in and check out super easy and even answered our questions about the building's history. We will most certainly be back.

Dave's place is charming and cozy. He has really gone the extra mile with all little adornments to make you feel welcome. He is very quick to respond if you need anything. If we are ever in La Conner again you better believe it will be out first choice! The town is so cute, it's like a set right out of the movies. We absolutely fell in love while visiting. Just about a 25 minute drive to the ferry as well which was perfect for our trip to Orcas island. Thanks again for having us!!

Keith and Sarah's place is comfortable, clean, and welcoming, and we'd happily recommend it to others visiting the Mount Vernon area. The home is cheery and peaceful, and their kind gestures of fresh-cut wildflowers and even a gift of cherry tomatoes on the counter from the couple's garden made us feel right at home. Their convenient keypad entry is perfect for those traveling in and out over the weekend, but the amenities are thoughtful and ideal for a longer stay; the bed is extremely comfortable and the added pull-out couch in the main room is especially great for accommodating a small family or second couple. Due to the nature of our travel schedule and short stay, my husband and I didn't have the pleasure of meeting our hosts in person. However, our friend who stayed with us and arrived first told us how warmly he was greeted upon arrival and how impressed he was with Sarah's hospitality. All throughout our preparations for the weekend, the hosts were extremely responsive to messages and so very kind, making sure that our weekend stay would go without a hitch. Cute tiny house on the edge of North Cascades National Park and charming town Edison. Perfect for a group of 3 if you're looking for a night north of Seattle.

We loved to stay at Keith and Sarah's tiny house. It is convenient to reach national parks and shopping centers. A visitor center is nearby. Keith provided very adequate accessories for cooking and laundry. We found it very family feeling. We definitely will choose the same house and location.

The house is perfect; very comfortable and clean. The area felt safe and secluded yet you could still walk to get breakfast. The only issue was that it is VERY close to train tracks, and I'm not sure what the schedule normally is, but a train went by multiple times during the night and sounded as if it were about to come right through the house. If you're a light sleeper like I am, this is something you should be aware of. But the house itself had everything you would need and my stay was lovely aside from the train. The bed was comfortable and everything was spotless.

Keith and Sarah were great hosts! We were so tired from our drive that it was so nice to have a comfy place to lay our heads. The place was so nice that we were actually a bit sad to leave. It was definitely one of the nicer places we've stayed at on our trip through Washington. I would recommend it and stay here again!

The Bula Cottage has everything you need for a fun or intimate stay. The cottage is decorated well and super clean, lots of light and an amazing view. The kitchen has all the needs to prepare your meals or use the outside grill. Several beautiful outdoor sitting areas, with views all around. The view of Mount Baker is exquisite. Great hiking trail up the road, Baker Preserve. Do get your groceries before heading to the island. If you plan on a meal out, the Beach Cafe store has great food and service. Todd and Carrie communicated well before the trip and as we arrived. We will plan on visiting again! Thank you, Ray and Cindy
