To truly relax you do not need to drive as we are just a 5 minute walk from the pretty village of Mickleton where there are 2 pubs, a village shop, post office, butchers and hotel. The houses have been built to our own specifications and alongside the hot tub and cooker they contain a micro kitchen with cold water tap, 2 ring hob, fridge and ice box. There is also an eco toilet in the houses for your convenience. In addition, there is a double flush toilet and shower block on site for guests.

    Would you like to experience authentic rural England ? There is not a better location than an old Saxon hamlet originally listed in the Domesday Book in the picturesque rolling hills of the North Cotswolds. There is not a better place there than a room in our 17 century farm house with its original features - beamed ceilings, inglenook fireplace, AGA cooker. Our house imaginatively called 'The Old House', was built just after the chaos caused locally by the English Civil War in the second half of the seventeenth century. It has been updated a little since then though. This is a place for those who appreciate and respect the "old". This listing is for our Yellow Room with its own en-suite on a B&B basis. Please note this is a smaller room and if you like to a more spacious room with a bigger bed, check our other listing. Free parking and free Wi-Fi available.
    Hidcote Boyce is a typical small cotswold village - it has not materially changed for the last three to four hundred years. This makes it relatively unique in a rapidly changing world.
  • Google maps finds the house easily and parking is easy on the gravel next to the house. We had been visiting Hidcote gardens which are just round the corner within a mile or so. We had the best breakfast I’ve ever had in an Air BnB which more than made up for not having a kettle in our room. Many thanks!

  • Its a lovely old house situated in a very small hamlet with great views of the countryside. Nearby are 3 villages about 5 minutes drive where you’ll find pubs, supermarket etc. The room was large with an ensuite & very cosy for February weather. Breakfast was an added treat with all food groups. Ian is a nice chatty host. I would recommend a stay of at least 2 nights - great value & well situated to see all the beautiful villages & countryside.

  • Konstantina and Tim were lovely hosts. Both are warm, welcoming, and great conversationalists. The cottage is cosy, warm and full of character. The breakfasts served in the living room was perfect - Bulgarian sweet doughnuts, cheeses, cereals, tea and toast. They were quite flexible and accommodating, and also gave great recommendations on what to do in the area.

  • The house was very cute and full of character maintaining its traditional style. It was spotlessly clean and the breakfast was delicious! Tim and Konstantina were very welcoming and helpful (Tim's to do tips were mostly appreciated). They were also kind enough to give us the bigger pink room despite having booked and paid for the smaller one. All in all, great stay and would happily recommend!

    Come to our spotlessly clean cottage, up a long driveway, totally private and peaceful and relax in peace and total comfort and peace of mind. You will be able to arrive without any checkin, no contact with anyone, and you can relax in the middle of the most beautiful countryside location. In the middle of nowhere!. Discover the local beautiful Cotswold area. On our doorstep is Chipping Campden and Moreton-in-Marsh and all the local Cotswold villages
    Our Cottage has three double bedrooms and a very large bathroom with shower and bath. There is a large kitchen and large sitting room with television including DVD player. The cottage is immaculately clean, and during these times it is perfect for a home from home experience, deep in the countryside and you will have total privacy. For larger numbers of guests there is a one bedroomed cottage that sleeps 2 people less than 10 paces opposite which is let separately. The Cottage has a garden to enjoy. For weekends I book for 4-6 guests rather than smaller numbers as we sleep 6 but for guests of only 4 - I would require a minimum of 2 night stay over weekend unless prior arrangement with Jo
    We live closest to the beautiful Cotswold town of Chipping Campden, with Moreton-in-Marsh and Stow-on-the-Wold close by too. You should not miss Broadway either! We are also close to Oxford, Stratford-upon-Avon and Cheltenham

    Message to guest regarding COVID-19 Our properties are meticulously cleaned between visits and deep cleaned every month. However, because of the current situation, we have doubled up on this and are using bleach to clean every surface, in particular door handles, floors, kitchens and bathrooms. Generally there are more than 72 hours between bookings so this is helpful. When there isn’t this gap, we are deep cleaning. This means preparing the house may take longer than usual, so we hope our guests will appreciate that they may not be able to check in as early as normal or as has been previously agreed. We will continue to honour all our bookings. We are in a quiet rural and fairly isolated location, so the house is a refuge from the current situation! Our beautiful Cotswold Stone house is traditional designed but with contemporary interiors and facilities. Please contact Stephanie if the dates you want are not listed as available. The house has 6 spacious bedrooms, all ensuite, and all with stunning views. There is a comfortable sitting room with log fireplace and large TV. Also a large dining hall with long oak table and a fabulous kitchen with AGA and a circular dining table. All the rooms boast the most wonderful views over the surrounding countryside and all have french doors opening onto the terrace and garden. The house is open plan on the ground floor with the rooms flowing into each other with the dining hall in the centre. We now have a Hot Tub. This is suitable for 6 people. There is a £150 charge for the use of the tub so please ask for details. We also have a table tennis table, darts board and a croquet set so lots of fun things to do in the garden. The house is wonderful throughout the year, whether it is enjoying the sunshine in the summer months, or basking in the warmth of a log fire in the chilly winter. We love Christmas at Charingworth and the house will be festively decorated with Christmas trees, candles and decorations throughout December. Please abide by the house rules regarding noise. No amplifiers are permitted, unless by prior agreement. The house is also available for small weddings receptions and family events. We do not allow weddings with large marquees. We are very excited because we now have ultra fast internet , supposedly 300mbps but of course it's not quite as fast as that in reality. Still it is very fast especially for a rural location. The house has 6 good sized bedrooms and will comfortably accommodate 2 or more families, with comfortable fold up beds and sofa beds available in the bedrooms for children or adults. There is also a sofa bed in the sitting room. It is also suitable for larger number, of up to 24 people, who don't mind sharing bedrooms and bathrooms. The bedrooms are on 2 floors and all are a good size. All the beds are made up with high quality, white, high-thread cotton linen. Extra fold up beds or cots can be provided in any other the bedrooms - please just let me know and they'll be set up for you. Please note that for more than 12 guests there is a charge of £105/person capped at £420/night. So this means after 16 guests there are no extra charges. This covers the extra costs of setting the house up for larger numbers of guests. Soft white towels, complimentary shampoo, conditioner and bath and shower gel are provided in each bathroom. There is a double belfast sink, an American style fridge freezer with ice making facilities and a larder cupboard. There is an island unit with stools for 2 people and a round kitchen table with 10 chairs. The larder cupboard will have some food supplies (herbs and spices, olive olive, salt and pepper, etc) which guests are welcome to help themselves to. There is a kettle for the AGA together with an electric kettle, Nespresso (please bring pods), Milk Frother and toaster. There are also cafetieres available. Also a food processor and other cooking appliances There is a TV in the kitchen. There are 9 sets of French doors opening onto the terrace on 2 sides. The kitchen is well equipped with cooking utensils, cutlery, plates, serving dishes etc. I am a keen cook and all my equipment is available for use by guests. If you require any particular item, please ask and I can let you know if we have it. The dining room also has french doors opening onto the terrace. This room has a long oak, refectory style table, with 10 chairs, but room to accommodate 12 with additional chairs available. For larger numbers we have 2 additional tables which can be used in various different configurations. This increases the seating capacity to 32. There is an Alexa Echo in the dining hall linked to our Amazon Prime Music account. Or you can link to your own accounts by downloading the Alexa App. Off the dining room is an inner stair lobby with stairs leading to the first floor, WC and Sitting Room. Also french doors leading to outside. The sitting room has 3 large sofas, 2 wingback chairs and further chairs are available if required. There is a log fire (with a plentiful supply of logs) and two sets of french doors leading out into the garden. There is a Smart TV, DVD, Sound system and Youview box, with recordable hardrive. There is also a library of DVDs and BlueRay discs available for our guests to watch. We also have a selection of board games, which you are welcome to use. This is a new house and the gardens are simply laid to lawn at present. There is a terrace around the house with garden furniture and parasols. Steps lead up to the lawn area. There is a large, dual fuel barbecue on the terrace (barbecue fuel and gas both provided), a chiminea, a pizza oven and plentiful outdoor seating, including 3 separate tables and chairs seating 22. The terrace has outside lighting and an exterior power socket and a darts board. We have another holiday home next door, The Apple Barn (which is also listed on Airbnb) and are happy to discuss the hire of both properties together.
    Charingworth is a quiet hamlet on the edge of Ebrington. There are fantastic walks nearby, a great local pub and lots to do nearby. The house is in the Cotswolds but also very close tonStratford upon Avon, Oxford and Warwick. The house is located in the middle of the Cotswold countryside. This is a rural location and the nearest village of Ebrington has a farm shop and a village pub. We always knew that our local pub, The Ebrington Arms, was special. Apparently The Times agrees. In 2017 it received the accolade of Best Village Inn and also listed it as one of the in the best summer pubs in the UK. In 2018 The Times again recognised it, by including it in their list of best 50 UK pubs. The pub is a short walk away in Ebrington. It's open all day and serves lunch and dinner (booking recommended) as well as snacks at other times. It also offers a very superior take-away fish and chips service. We are very lucky because we have several really good pubs nearby. The Churchill Arms in Paxford also has to get a special mention for excellent food and service. The chef/owner Nick Deverill-Smith, who used to be head chef at The Dean Street Townhouse (part of the Soho House Group) has appeared on Saturday Kitchen Live alongside Michel Roux. He and his excellent staff run a fantastic establishment. We are very excited to offer an exclusive menu at The Churchill to our guests, including a complimentary bottle of prosecco. Please contact Stephanie for details about how to book this offer. Menu details in the 'Other Things To Note' section. A new farm shop and cafe has recently opened in the nearby village. This is about 20 minutes walk from the house and close to the village pub. Vegetable Matters offers 'fresh local produce and a warm welcome'. There are general stores in Chipping Campden and Shipston-on-Stour which are both within 4 miles of the property. There is a Waitrose in Stratford-upon-Avon which is about 15 minutes drive away. Ideally you will need a car, although, if guests prefer not to drive. they can arrange supermarket deliveries from Waitrose, Sainsburys and Tesco. The house is surrounded by beautiful rural Cotswold countryside with many public footpaths, including The Cotswold Way. There are numerous Cotswold stone villages and towns nearby, including Chipping Campden, Broadway, Upper and Lower Slaughter and Stow-on-the-Wold. It is also close to Stratford-upon-Avon and an ideal location for visiting both the theatre and this historic town. Oxford and Blenheim Palace, in Woodstock, are also only a short drive away.

  • We couldn’t have asked for a better stay. Stephanie went above and beyond. She bought in some extra touches for our Halloween party, and even left us some Prosecco. The house was gorgeous, the view incredible. Stephanie also helped us find a catering company. Angela Winter and her team were exceptional and very good value for money-I would highly recommend hiring them for a 3 course meal. Victoria and Toby were also amazing bar tenders. No one was ever without a drink in their hand! The area was stunning, and Steph’s recommendation of the Ebenington arms was fab. The roast dinner was delicious. The Apple Barn is a recently converted farm building which was originally used to store fruit and vegetables. It combines the traditional features of stone and oak floors and beams, with contemporary fixtures and fittings. We are very excited because we now have ultra fast internet , supposedly 300mbps but of course it's not quite as fast as that in reality. Still, it is very fast especially for a rural location. The house can comfortably accommodate a large family or group of friends that don't mind sharing. There are plenty of extra beds available, but obviously the more beds you add, the more snug the accommodation becomes and the more people sharing the 3 bathrooms. There are 2 good sized ensuite bedrooms on the first floor and a further 2 -bedroom family suite with one ensuite bathroom on the second floor. PLEASE NOTE - these 2 bedrooms are conjoined so they make up one large space and are therefore ideal for a family or people that don't mind sharing. The first floor bedrooms have king sized beds (5 foot). Bedroom 1 has a king size bed and a single bed. There is also space in this room for an additional fold up bed. (2 extra beds if you don't mind very little space between beds). Bedroom 2 also has space for 2 additional fold up bed, but the space is snug with the extra beds in situ. The beds on the second floor are Queen (4ft 6") and four single beds. There is room in Bedroom 3 for an additional fold up bed and we have even managed to fit 2 extra beds in here, although it's a tight fit. There is a large double sofa bed in the sitting room. Cots and highchairs are also available. I'm happy for up 16 people plus infants and pets to stay and there is enough room to seat 16 in the dining room, but it will make the common areas more of a squeeze, especially in the winter when the garden will be less usable. There are enough beds for 16-18 but you should be aware that the accommodation would be very snug if you had that many people sharing the facilities. Please note that the second floor bedrooms are accessed via a spiral staircase so not suitable for those with mobility difficulties or very young children (see photo) The ground floor is open-plan with a large sitting room, kitchen and dining room. There is a large inglenook fireplace in the sitting room with log-burning stove, TV, DVD player, iPod connectable stereo (via aux cable or old style jack) and football table. The kitchen is well appointed with range cooker, fridge, microwave, dishwasher, breakfast bar. and Smart TV. The dining room has a long refectory table with seating for 16 people. There is also a utility room with washing machine, tumble dryer, freezer and downstairs cloakroom. All rooms are served by wireless broadband. There are two outside areas. At the front of the property there is a lawned area with terrace. To the side is a very private circular terrace with dining area and parasol. This is a particular sun trap and effectively creates an outdoor dining room in fine weather. We provide you with tea and coffee, salt and pepper, sugar and cooking oil. We also give you washing up liquid, dishwasher tablets, washing powder, fabric conditioner, foil, kitchen roll, clingfilm and loo rolls. At Christmas there will be a real Christmas tree and all winter there is a plentiful supply of logs for the wood burner. The bathrooms have towels and face cloths, soap, bath soak, shampoo and conditioner. There is also a hairdryer, iron and ironing board. We don't expect you to use it but there is a vacuum cleaner and some basic cleaning products.

  • A lovely property - we really enjoyed our stay. The house was beautifully decorated, clean and was deceptively spacious. It managed to accommodate our extended family of ten adults, five children and three dogs - albeit with a bit of 'open plan' sleeping quarters upstairs. We especially liked the downstairs layout with an open plan lounge and kitchen and long dining table in a separate room which created a great space for our group to gather, talk, cook and eat together.

Stephanie was very helpful as our arrival was delayed and we were expecting a shopping delivery, she was very flexible and offered to bring our shopping in it go there before us (it didn't).     Would you like to experience authentic rural England ? There is not a better location than an old Saxon hamlet originally listed in the Domesday Book in the picturesque rolling hills of the North Cotswolds. There is not a better place there than a room in our 17 century farm house with its original features - beamed ceilings, inglenook fireplace, AGA cooker. Our house imaginatively called 'The Old House', was built just after the chaos caused locally by the English Civil War in the second half of the seventeenth century. It has been updated a little since then though, so it will suit people who appreciate and respect the "old". This listing is for our largest bedroom, the 'Pink Bedroom' - pink rose not pink Barbie! It sleeps two in a king-size bed. The room has its own en-suite. The offer is on a B&B basis. There is free car parking on site. We also have the Yellow Room, which is smaller but also has a double bed and an en-suite. There is free wifi for catching up with news and updates on your own device. We can direct you to one of the many eating options less than 10 minutes’ drive away. We can also send you our local restaurant recommendations. From here you can access the beautiful North Cotswolds. In less than 20 minutes driving you can get to any of the following - Chipping Campden, Stow on the Wold, Bourton on the Water, Moreton in the Marsh, Upper and Lower Slaughter. In the other direction there is Shakespeare County of Warwickshire and Stratford on Avon, Warwick, Leamington Spa. Hidcote is about 15 minutes by car from Stratford where you can enjoy the theatre, the restaurants or just a lovely walk by the river. We have more than 100 fruit trees in the garden of different sorts. These include many varieties of apples, pears, plums, gages, sour and sweet cherries, quinces - these are quite reliable croppers and sometimes we may have apricots, peaches and figs but that depends very much on the weather each year. We are only 35 minutes away from Cheltenham, famous for amongst other things the horse racing festival held in March every year - including of course the Cheltenham Gold Cup.
    Hidcote Boyce is a typical small Cotswold village - it has not materially changed for the last three to four hundred years. This makes it relatively unique in a rapidly changing world.

  • Charming! It is the best choice for those who seek peace and appreciate the history and experience of rural England with its preserved landscapes and customs. We stayed in the large room and were enchanted by the charm and warmth of the space. Everything clean, organized. The house is old and that is the best part! the care with the details of every place makes the stay part of the whole experience of this region. The internet signal is great in the region and even at night, with no lights on the roads, (this is normal inside) Google Maps worked perfectly. Great breakfast and very friendly and welcoming hosts.     A self-contained, first-floor holiday apartment comprising large sitting room with vaulted ceiling and exposed beams with galley kitchen and adjoining large double bedroom with Queen size bed and en suite shower room. This accommodation is newly converted and very well presented. Access is via an exterior staircase. The Loft is part of Newlands Farmhouse, which is a delightful Grade II Listed farmhouse. NOTE: STEPS UP TO THE FIRST FLOOR APARTMENT ARE QUITE STEEP. The kitchen area has cooker, hob, dishwasher, toaster and kettle. There is a welcome pack of orange juice, milk, bread, butter. bacon eggs and cereals along with tea and coffee.
    Aston Magna is a pretty Cotswold village close to the market towns of Moreton-in-Marsh. Chipping Campden, Stow-on-the-Wold and Stratford-upon-Avon are all nearby. There are excellent gastro pubs in Paxford, Ebrington and Chipping Campden close by. There are many scenic walks in the area.

  • A beautiful property nestled in the countryside. The house is spacious, clean and comfortable. There is a steep staircase leading to the entrance, but it is well lit and I carried several bags up no problem. There is plenty of parking space at the property and it is within easy reach of Chipping Campden. The owners left me a selection of goodies for breakfast, which was lovely. Would recommend the property to others and would happily go back.

    Bracken Cottage is one of a row of former silk weaver’s cottages set on a quiet road in the village of Blockley. The front door opens directly into the ground floor living area: Living room/dining room/kitchen: This homely open plan living space has a cosy wood burning stove, wooden beams and a stable door with views across to the fields beyond. This room contains a sofa, a window seat, a Smart TV, a fold away dining table with seating for two, an electric oven, four-ring gas hob, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, microwave, cafetière, kettle and toaster. Steep stairs lead up from the living area to the first floor landing, off which are the following rooms: Bedroom 2: A smart room with exposed painted beams, a king size bed, bedside tables, full length mirror and chest of drawers (please note the chest of drawers is not for guest use); Family bathroom: Decorated in a contemporary style, this spacious bathroom has a bath with handheld shower attachment, toilet, wash basin and a cupboard containing a washing machine. Further steep stairs lead directly into the master bedroom: Master bedroom: A characterful and cosy room in the eaves which contains a king size bed, Smart TV, chest of drawers and vanity mirror. The bedroom leads into the ensuite bathroom which contains a walk-in rain shower with handheld shower attachment, toilet and wash basin. The stable door leads from the kitchen into a wonderful landscaped garden with uninterrupted views of the countryside.     Blockley is a popular village in the Cotswolds which is found within a triangle formed by three renowned market towns: Chipping Campden to the North, Moreton-in-Marsh to the South East and Stow-on-the-Wold to the South. Being close to these three towns has led to increased footfall in the village, bringing with it good quality pubs and a lovely village shop/café. As the village is away from main roads, it avoids the heavy tourist traffic and so visitors can get a real sense of rural life, enjoying the rolling countryside which falls within the Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The peaceful Blockley Brook attracts tourists and locals as a quiet place to relax in the warmer months. This brook, together with the other brook in the village, played a part in Blockley's history as there were once 12 water mills which provided work in various industries over the centuries, including silk production and flour milling. Architecturally the village has quite a different character in comparison to the rest of the North Cotswolds as it has a more similar style to that of the villages in the Stroud valley, but here they have used a more golden stone. This design is reminiscent of wealthier times as the majority of the cottages were built during the 17th and 18th century, at the height of the industrial era. A popular attraction in Blockley is Mill Dene Garden which is a partner garden of the Royal Horticultural Society. With a misty grotto, stream and seats around the mill pond, this is a lovely place to while away the time looking out for the kingfishers whilst enjoying a cream tea. Food & Drink For a relatively small village, Blockley is blessed with a number of places to eat and drink, all just a short walk from anywhere in the village. The Crown Inn (www.crownhotelblockley.co.uk): This 16th century country inn is situated in the heart of Blockley and features a restaurant serving dishes prepared with local produce, along with a bar with an open fire and a wide selection of real ales. This honey coloured historic inn is covered in Virginia creeper which turns a stunning red in Autumn. Walk inside to the scents of wood smoke from the open log fires and snuggle into a comfy chair by the fire, to view the daily papers with a coffee or something stronger. Dinner is served in the warm and friendly restaurant with lighter meals and snacks available in the bar. The “Western” as it is locally known, is a Hook Norton Brewery pub and is tenanted to Sharon Brace. The pub has two rooms: one is used as the restaurant and the other houses a pool table, juke box and darts board (dogs are welcome in the pool room). The Pub has recently been extensively refurbished and now boasts 1st class facilities and comforts. The spacious lounge bar/restaurant retains its period "feel" but has been re-furnished and decorated with great taste and care. The atmosphere is warm, welcoming and friendly. Interior designed, very comfortable luxury cosy cottage in a perfect location. 3 large bedrooms, and two bathrooms, one being ensuite to the master bedroom. Beautiful beds, all with feather toppers - will feel like sleeping on large marshmallows! Brand new beds, new bedlinen, beautifully designed headboards and new towels. Roaring log fire and televisions and DVD for relaxation. High speed wifi for those working moments! Fully equipped kitchen, with an oven, and microwave and all new china, glass and pots and pans. Plenty of cooking dishes, although the famous award winning Ebrington Arms pub is just a short walk away for fabulous pub food and The Howards Arms is also close by for a great family pub outing! This is a cottage to explore from or cosy up in. Perfect for families. The Study downstairs has a sofa bed in - just in case stairs are a problem for anyone. For Christmas and New Year we have a two night stay policy and six guest minimum. For every Friday and Saturday night stay we have a four guest minimum policy and if it is just 4guests, its a 2 night minimum stay over the weekend, unless prior arrangement with Jo. Bank holiday weekends is two nights minimum together with 6 guests minimum stay. Any questions just let me know and I can see if I help you further!     The cottage is in the most picturesque countryside, out of the movies and you can walk from the cottage without going anywhere near main roads, very peaceful. It has it's own big garden and there's a BBQ available in the summer months to make the most of the views! There's an organic vegetable shop 3 minutes drive away that has a wonderful cafe that serves fabulous all day breakfasts and lunches and award winning Ebrington Arms pub just minute away by car or a relaxing walk. Chipping Campden is close by and is one of the most beautiful Cotswold villages. Moreton-in-Marsh and Broadway are also very close. You are in the heart of the Cotswolds from here!
  • We very much enjoyed our weekend at Field Cottage. The " Cottage '' is really a barn conversion set within a courtyard of several other conversions sharing the same entrance. The cottage had everything we needed for our weekend away and we found the two lounges with two televisions useful. The house is very quiet and spacious and the beds super comfy. The location is rural and although the local pub is a 30 minute walk away this is not really possible on a dark winters night as the route is along a road ( quite muddy ) without any lighting. We did not have the greatest of weather but found plenty to do nearby.

  • Field Cottage was everything we could have hoped for - and more! Quietly located along a country lane, the cottage was spotlessly clean and beautifully furnished, Jo definitely has a flair for colours and accessories. The rooms have wonderful high ceilings which is unusual for a cottage and the rear of the property looks out over farmland. There were plenty of dry logs, firelighters and matches for the log burner and we had a wonderful fire in the evening. We enjoyed watching a dvd in the cute snug, the sofa's in both the lounge and snug were extremely comfortable. The kitchen was fully equipped with everything needed to cook a full meal and there is a handy utility room to store boots, etc. The beds and pillows are super comfortable and there were lots of little extras like shower gels/bubble bath in the bathrooms and condiments for cooking in the kitchen. Jo was the perfect host, always responding immediately and we were lucky enough to meet her on Sunday - she was so helpful! Thank you so much Jo, we are coming back soon!

    Chipping Campden is one of the main market towns in the North Cotswolds, built by medieval traders with wealth created from the wool trade. With many thatched cottages, this is one of the most picturesque towns in the region. A notable feature of the town is the Market Hall which was built in 1627. Originally thought to be used in the wool trade, the main function of the hall was actually to give shelter to local cheese, poultry and butter sellers. The High Street is relatively small, taking just five minutes to walk from one end to the other, and it has a number of well-regarded eateries ranging from tea houses to dining pubs and restaurants. This main street curves in a shallow arc which is flanked on both sides by terraces of ancient houses, each house having its own embellishments. This feature of the town is one of the reasons why, in 1970, the street was officially designated as a conservation area. Chipping Campden marks one end of the Cotswolds Way which is a 102 mile National Trail linking Chipping Campden to Bath. For the majority of the trail it follows the Cotswold escarpment which gives the walker fantastic views of the surrounding scenery. The Way passes through many traditional villages and close to historical sites including Sudeley Castle near Winchcombe and Hailes Abbey. The countryside along the Way is very diverse, ranging from wildflower meadows to beech woodlands, providing visitors with perfect examples of Britain's stunning landscape. Food & Drink Chipping Campden has numerous places to eat and drink, with a range of cuisines and prices to suit most tastes and budgets.   • We found this place to be what it says on the tin. Not too overdone and quaint and cosy. Great to relax and let yourself away. Sitting by the fire crackling away as rain pattered on the porch roof with a glass of wine in hand and great friends in toe was a wonderful experience. The local area is good for a few days explore with Bourton Wood as a particularly beautiful highlight. The space is a little small so I’d keep it to three people max but it worked well for 2-3 nights. The parking space was also tight but was fine in the end. The shower was also great - an important part of a winter stay in the Cotswolds!

  • This is a really sweet, cosy cottage. It is small but this is accurately represented in the description. It is ideal for a couple with a young child. We had a third adult occupying the small single room which was fine for the couple of nights we were there. I did think that at over £400 for a couple of nights was expensive and if I was to stay there again would probably go direct to Character Cottages rather than through AirBnB. However it is very conveniently situated for this lovely village of Brockley and the parking wasn’t as complicated as it first sounded it might be. We did a lovely walk over to Batsford Arboretum and also managed to be in Brockley for film night which was an additional unexpected treat.

  • The Alice Cottage is really very nice, tastefully decorated and clean. Comfortable veranda at the entrance, ideal for taking off wet jackets and shoes before entering the house. Large and well equipped kitchen. The only thing missing is the dishwasher, for the rest there's really everything, even a very useful washer / dryer. The bathroom, located on the upper floor, is small but functional. The large and tastefully furnished double bedroom. That single little one but pretty. The strength of the cottage is undoubtedly the small living room with fireplace. Especially when it is raining and cold outside, being able to relax in front of the fireplace, is really a unique and priceless experience (wood is necessary to light the fire provided by the property). Convenient private parking in front of the entrance. Excellent location. The picturesque village of Blockley is the ideal starting point to visit the Cotswolds. Simply perfect for those who want a relaxing holiday in the heart of the English countryside. Finally I point out the seriousness of the agency that manages the property. Really very kind and helpful. If we were to return to the Cotswolds in the future, we would have no doubts, we would certainly return to the Alice Cottage. Highly recommended!

    The houses have a cosy double bedroom with bifold doors opening onto a small wooden floating deck- a great chill out area for those balmy Summer days. The micro kitchen houses a small fridge with ice box, double gas hob and hot and cold water to the sink. On the covered deck you will find your own double wood fired hot tub (emptied and cleaned between all guests) and a wood burner with oven and grill to cook up a scrumptious supper. A flush toilet is accessed from the deck and a unique, outside, hot water bucket style shower provides washing facilities for the Summer months. The cabins are designed to be off grid with solar powered 12v electric for the fridge, lighting and charging your electric devices. In the Winter the cabins will be sited on our campsite where a double shower block is available together with an electric socket to run a heater.

Lovely and clean shower block with a nice warm shower! Very refreshing stepping out afterwards! The log burner keeps you nice and toasty even on the coldest of days, we even managed to make a pizza and cook it for our dinner! Very comfortable bed and lovely stylish finishes. The hot tub is an extra bonus! Absolute heaven sitting in there watching the stars in January! I didn’t want to leave!

    Green Cottage is accessed directly from the road that runs though the quiet village of Broad Campden. The front door opens into a small porch area, which leads to the following rooms on the ground floor: Living room/dining area: This cosy room has an exposed Cotswold stone wall, oak beams, and a feature fireplace with natural effect gas fire. There is a two seater sofa plus two armchairs, as well as a Smart TV, CD Player and DAB digital radio. In the corner of the living room there is a wooden dining table with seating for four; Kitchen: A step leads up into the well presented country-style kitchen, which contains an electric oven, four ring electric hob, fridge with freezer compartment, slimline dishwasher, microwave, kettle, toaster, and a washing machine with a tumble dryer. A door leads out from the kitchen to the back garden. Stairs lead up from the ground floor to the first floor landing, off which are the following rooms: Bedroom 2: A lovely room with a view across the road to the rolling hills beyond, which contains two single beds, a small wardrobe and a chest of drawers, plus a Freeview TV; Shower room: Contains a walk-in shower, heated towel rail, toilet and wash basin. Further stairs lead up from the landing to the second floor: Master bedroom: A beautiful room in the eaves of the cottage, with exposed oak beams, which contains a king size bed, walk-in wardrobe, chest of drawers and a dressing table with mirror, plus a Freeview TV. The back door leads out to a lovely enclosed garden with a nice lawned area, surrounded by many established plants. There is a table and four chairs, plus a wooden bench and a further stone bench. Free on street parking is available on the road outside or close to the property.
    The Cotswolds are characterised by attractive small towns and villages, built of the underlying Cotswold stone (a yellow oolitic limestone). In the Middle Ages the wool trade made the Cotswolds prosperous and some of this money was put into the building of churches, leaving the area with a number of large handsome Cotswold stone "wool churches". The area remains affluent, which has encouraged the establishment of many high quality pubs, restaurants and antique shops.

    The Brew House is located in a row of Cotswold stone cottages, on a beautiful street in the heart of Chipping Campden. There is comfortable seating for up to six, with two sofas and two Lloyd Loom chairs (the second chair is usually upstairs, but can be brought down to the living room), and an oak topped dining table that can seat up to six. There is also a SMART TV with a DVD player; Kitchen: Two steps lead up from the living area to the spacious, well presented kitchen, which has a polished solid oak floor, exposed Cotswold stone and oak beams. The kitchen has contemporary fitted cupboards with granite worktops, and a SMEG oven with gas hob that fits neatly into an inglenook fireplace. There is also an integrated dishwasher, fridge freezer, washing machine/tumble dryer, microwave, kettle and toaster. A hatch in the kitchen floor leads down to a cellar used for log storage. A door opens from the kitchen to the stairs, which lead up to the first floor landing, off which are the following rooms: Bedroom 1: A lovely room with oak beams, a window seat beneath a stone mullion window, a feature stone fireplace and a built in cupboard with hanging space. There is an oak framed double bed and oak bedside tables, together with a flatscreen TV and DVD player; Bedroom 2: A dual aspect bedroom, also with oak beams and a feature stone fireplace, which contains two single beds; Family bathroom: This beautifully appointed room has Italian sanitary ware, including a large pedestal wash basin, floating toilet and a walk-in shower. A door from the first floor landing leads directly to a steep winding staircase to the second floor: Bedroom 3: In the lovely eaves of the cottage, this bedroom contains a comfortable oak-framed double bed and a wall mounted flatscreen TV. The window provides an excellent view of the church opposite. There is also a large ensuite bathroom, again with Italian sanitary ware consisting of a bath, toilet and wash basin.

    Blockley is a popular village in the Cotswolds which is found within a triangle formed by three renowned market towns: Chipping Campden to the North, Moreton-in-Marsh to the South East and Stow-on-the-Wold to the South. Being close to these three towns has led to increased footfall in the village, bringing with it good quality pubs and a lovely village shop/café. As the village is away from main roads, it avoids the heavy tourist traffic and so visitors can get a real sense of rural life, enjoying the rolling countryside which falls within the Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The peaceful Blockley Brook attracts tourists and locals as a quiet place to relax in the warmer months. This brook, together with the other brook in the village, played a part in Blockley's history as there were once 12 water mills which provided work in various industries over the centuries, including silk production and flour milling. This honey coloured historic inn is covered in Virginia creeper which turns a stunning red in Autumn. Walk inside to the scents of wood smoke from the open log fires and snuggle into a comfy chair by the fire, to view the daily papers with a coffee or something stronger. Dinner is served in the warm and friendly restaurant with lighter meals and snacks available in the bar. The pub has two rooms: one is used as the restaurant and the other houses a pool table, juke box and darts board (dogs are welcome in the pool room). The Pub has recently been extensively refurbished and now boasts 1st class facilities and comforts. The spacious lounge bar/restaurant retains its period "feel" but has been re-furnished and decorated with great taste and care. The atmosphere is warm, welcoming and friendly. Blockley Village Shop & Café (blockleyshop.com): The community owned shop and café is the hub of the village.   • This cottage is very comfortable, well equipped and in a good location. It is in a quiet area with street parking in a lovely village. The cottage is a good size inside with a bathroom and toilet upstairs and shower room and toilet downstairs. Kitchen has all you need and there are books and games available. The village is charming and has a good shop and cafe. We did the historic walks around the village which was great and gave us a sense of village life then and now. I would definitely recommend this cottage for a stay in the Cotswolds.

The well-equipped kitchen has a double electric cooker, a four ring ceramic hob, fridge with a small freezer, dishwasher, toaster, kettle, coffee machine and smoothie maker; Utility room: Next to the kitchen, this room contains a microwave and a washing machine; Shower room: Accessed via the kitchen and utility room, the shower room has a double walk-in shower, toilet and wash basin; Boot room: Adjoining the kitchen, the boot room is the primary entrance to the cottage, providing access to the back garden and the parking area. In the Middle Ages the wool trade made the Cotswolds prosperous and some of this money was put into the building of churches, leaving the area with a number of large handsome Cotswold stone "wool churches". There is a large inglenook fireplace with wood burning stove, a Smart TV, DVD player and a bookshelf with plenty of books and DVDs for guests to use. By the window there is a dining table that can comfortably seat four guests; Kitchen: The living room leads into the contemporary style galley kitchen. This well-equipped space has an electric cooker with a four-ring halogen hob, a fridge, washing machine, microwave, toaster and kettle. At the end of the galley kitchen there is a small cloakroom with a toilet and wash basin. Stairs lead up from the living room to the first floor, off which is the following room: Master bedroom: A stylish, spacious room, with an exposed Cotswold stone wall and original oak beams.     Moreton-in-Marsh is one of the principal market towns in the North Cotswolds, situated on the Fosse Way and served by the main line railway from London Paddington.   • This place is wonderful! We loved it so much. The village is adorable and quite near everything we wanted to visit. There was a lovely market in the town square the day we arrived. Check-in was easy, the cottage is absolutely lovely and felt like home. The floors were a bit squeaky but we loved it! Unfortunately, we got a flat tire when we pulled in and they weren’t able to bring us a spare (no spares in European rentals for some unknown reason). We weren’t able to get a new car until late the next day. And even though that bummed us out, we couldn’t have had a better place to be lazy in while we waited! There’s plenty of places to eat and a small grocery right around the corner. We drove into Stow on the Wold for dinner at The Porch House (it was terrific!).

    Blockley is a popular village in the Cotswolds which is found within a triangle formed by three renowned market towns: Chipping Campden to the North, Moreton-in-Marsh to the South East and Stow-on-the-Wold to the South. Being close to these three towns has led to increased footfall in the village, bringing with it good quality pubs and a lovely village shop/café. As the village is away from main roads, it avoids the heavy tourist traffic and so visitors can get a real sense of rural life, enjoying the rolling countryside which falls within the Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The peaceful Blockley Brook attracts tourists and locals as a quiet place to relax in the warmer months. This brook, together with the other brook in the village, played a part in Blockley's history as there were once 12 water mills which provided work in various industries over the centuries, including silk production and flour milling. Architecturally the village has quite a different character in comparison to the rest of the North Cotswolds as it has a more similar style to that of the villages in the Stroud valley, but here they have used a more golden stone. This design is reminiscent of wealthier times as the majority of the cottages were built during the 17th and 18th century, at the height of the industrial era. A popular attraction in Blockley is Mill Dene Garden which is a partner garden of the Royal Horticultural Society. With a misty grotto, stream and seats around the mill pond, this is a lovely place to while away the time looking out for the kingfishers whilst enjoying a cream tea.

  • What a lovely, thoughtfully presented traditional cottage. It was immaculately clean with plenty of good quality linen and towels. The kitchen was very well stocked with all the equipment you might need in the course of your stay. Blockley itself is a lovely wee village, the cafe is great and the shop has all the essentials. We can recommend the Great Western Arms for both a nice evening out and also a great Sunday lunch. What a great week we spent there - our second trip to the Cotswolds. We wouldn't hesitate to return to Lammas Cottage.

  • I visited for a couple of days with my family and we had a wonderful stay. The place is as shown in the images - even better when you're in it. The living space is bright, spacious and well furnished - with plenty of books and games to entertain the family. The kitchen is well equipped and has everything you'd need to cater for your family. The bedrooms are cosy with storage and the beds are comfortable. Communication with the host was easy and quick. Checking in was easy as per instructions provided. We checked in during daylight and I would recommend you do too as you may miss the property at night. Highly recommended and my family are already talking about another stay here.

The cottage was very spacious, with very comfortable beds, well equipped kitchen, lovely open dining/lounge space & very nice grounds outside. The shower pressure was also amazing. The house is easy to find by following Google maps & is within close driving distance to all the cute Cotswolds towns. Daylesford Farm is a must do if you're a foodie, with great restaurants, jams & preserves & a zero waste shop! Coming to the area in November was a great idea as it's not too cold yet, but the colours of the trees were amazing & the pubs are so cosy. We had a lovely time.

  • Lovely stylish room, plenty of space, tea/real coffee, small fridge and microwave, plus breakfast cereals. Very self contained and private. Lovely en-suite bathroom with walk in shower. All very clean and fresh feeling. Amazing view from the window. Thoughtfully finished with local tips, and a selection of magazines. Don't think there was a TV but this didn't worry me as I was staying locally to meet up with friends in the evening. Would recommend and hopefully will have the chance to stay again in the future.

    Perry Cottage is a detached single storey cottage, located in a peaceful courtyard. There are two large sofas, one of which is a double sofa bed, a dining table with seating for four, a DAB radio with IPod speaker Doc, Freeview TV with a basic Sky package, and a CD/DVD player. French doors lead directly out from the living room to a patio area and the private garden; Kitchen: A beautifully presented room, with underfloor heating and a door opening directly onto the patio and garden. The well equipped kitchen contains an electric ceramic hob and oven, integrated washing machine/tumble dryer, dishwasher, fridge with freezer compartment, microwave, kettle, toaster, Nespresso coffee machine and Aeroccino milk frother; Bedroom: A lovely room with a high ceiling and exposed timber beams. The bed can be set up as either a super king size bed or two single beds, and the room also contains a wardrobe and chest of drawers. There is an ensuite bathroom, with underfloor heating, which contains a walk-in shower, bath, wash basin and toilet; Cloakroom: Contains a toilet and a wash basin, which are convenient for guests using the sofa bed.     The Cotswolds are characterised by attractive small towns and villages, built of the underlying Cotswold stone (a yellow oolitic limestone). In the Middle Ages the wool trade made the Cotswolds prosperous and some of this money was put into the building of churches, leaving the area with a number of large handsome Cotswold stone "wool churches". The area remains affluent, which has encouraged the establishment of many high quality pubs, restaurants and antique shops.

  • The cottage was spotlessly clean and well equipped having everything we could possibly need - from the most comfortable bed and fluffy towels, right down to decent sized mugs and wine glasses! The garden was safe and enclosed, perfect for our little Cavapoo puppy. It is perfectly placed for lovely walks from the doorstep or as a base for days out by car as there is so much to see and do in this area. The Churchill and The Ebrington Arms are both fabulous pubs serving amazing food and are in walking distance too. All in all it was the perfect getaway in a luxurious cottage. We just wish we could have stayed longer!

We really enjoyed being able to set out and explore from the front door -the local walks and pubs are fantastic.   • We had a truly wonderful stay at Perry Cottage. Within 5 minutes of arriving, we were already looking to return! The enclosed garden was perfect for our Cavapoo and the superking bed was dreamy. Without a doubt this has been our favourite UK mini break! The cottage is equipped with everything you might need, whether you are staying for a couple of nights or a couple of weeks. The little touches such as the fresh flowers, a scrummy lemon cake and a note from Gill really made us feel welcome. We will be back very soon as we had the most perfect stay. I would highly recommend!

    Blockley is a popular village in the Cotswolds which is found within a triangle formed by three renowned market towns: Chipping Campden to the North, Moreton-in-Marsh to the South East and Stow-on-the-Wold to the South. Being close to these three towns has led to increased footfall in the village, bringing with it good quality pubs and a lovely village shop/café. As the village is away from main roads, it avoids the heavy tourist traffic and so visitors can get a real sense of rural life, enjoying the rolling countryside which falls within the Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The peaceful Blockley Brook attracts tourists and locals as a quiet place to relax in the warmer months. This brook, together with the other brook in the village, played a part in Blockley's history as there were once 12 water mills which provided work in various industries over the centuries, including silk production and flour milling. Architecturally the village has quite a different character in comparison to the rest of the North Cotswolds as it has a more similar style to that of the villages in the Stroud valley, but here they have used a more golden stone. The cottage was spotlessly clean, with everything we needed for the weekend and only 4 miles from Moreton-In-Marsh. If you don't want to travel, then there's really no need, with the local shop and a local pub in walking distance.

  • Would highly recommend. Great with two very little ones- we wanted home comforts but to still have a break. We have been to the Cotswolds many times but Blockley seems to be one of few villages that hasn’t been discovered by the tourists yet. There is a coffee shop and store walking distance from the cottage and chipping Camden etc all a short drive away. The cottage itself is amazing from the cosy fire to the lovely kitchen which makes a lovely hub for the family to the comfiest bedrooms that make you feel right at home. We will be back again without a doubt.
