The house is great for a family or group travelling with the kitchen and laundry spaces. The noise from the train can be loud throughout the night but other than that the location is great! The place was clean and the owners were attentive to our needs. I would stay again!

The condo was very clean and had everything we needed for our stay. Very convenient to downtown. Take note that the train is really close and the walls are thin. Bring good ear plugs or a sound machine. Hosts were very responsive.

This was my third stay, so obviously I very much like it. It's only a short walk from downtown, and close to the rest of Fredericksburg. Highly recommended.

Extraordinary. The little castle is your own house. Carole and Kent have thoughtfully made sure you have everything you need. Just bring yourself and your personal items. In addition you'll enjoy how Carole has curated the space with art and unexpected treasures. The bed is comfy, you can control the best and cooling, and there's good water pressure.

Perfect location around the corner from everything you could possibly want or need in downtown Fredericksburg. Carole was an excellent host and I appreciated her quick communication. Would definitely stay here again if I’m in the area! This is amazing value for an Airbnb stay.

My boyfriend and I were in town for a wedding and stayed at Little Castle for 3 nights. What a lovely experience! It's only a 10 minute drive from downtown Fredericksburg, and less than a 5 minute drive to the Rappahannock River Trail. The decor was very artsy, vintage, and "insta-worthy." There's a small kitchen with enough appliances and dishes to do your own cooking, if you like. There are plenty of extra towels and blankets. Even though it was cold out, we spent some time on the small balcony in the back. It's perfect for enjoying a drink and looking at the stars. The entrance to the property is a little difficult to spot, but Carole sends you detailed instructions prior to the trip.

Amy's basement apartment is very well furnished and has many thoughtful amenities. I really didn't get to stay there very long, but it was comfortable for the time I was there. I didn't try the walk to the downtown, but if you're up for a couple of miles it wouldn't be so bad. Very nice neighborhood. Thank you!

Amy is a phenomenal host! If you're going to Fredericksburg, I highly suggest staying at this AirBNB. Everything from the cleanliness, to the small touches, to the hospitality was the best experience we've had.

My friend and I had a wonderful girls’ weekend in Amy and Nate’s home. They were so warm and welcoming, helpful and accommodating. Their basement apartment was immaculate and stylish, and we especially enjoyed the cozy wood burning fireplace each night, which they graciously set up and had ready for us! Everything we needed and more was there for us, including little gifts of lovely bars of soap that Amy’s friend had made. You go above and beyond in sharing your home with the Airbnb world, guys, and we are so grateful! Would definitely return and stay again!

Very open space - great for entertaining. The kitchen is huge. Having a place with 4+ bedrooms and the ability to accommodate a large group without feeling crowded was a blessing!

Jenny is a warm and friendly hostess-with-the-mostess, complete with fresh baked brownies, even! Her two teeny tiny dogs are THE cutest and almost as cool as her pink couches in the living room. The home is in a great location for getting out and about in town. If you are looking to stay in a real home with real locals, this is it. Mahalo, Jenny!

Jenny was such a great host! Very quick responses. Cute, comfy bed and room. She made brownies for the guests ♡ delicious for a late night treat after we returned from a concert :-) Her cute dogs Miso & Capt. Jack are Adorable!! Jenny is super friendly and outgoing. The house is on a quiet tree-lined street about 5min. Off I-95. Super convenient! We went to a concert in Fairfax but didn't want to drive all the way back to Norfolk. This was a great stopping point

I loved this cute cottage with 3 private rooms perfectly nestled by the river but conveniently located near downtown, maybe even walking distance. I loved the thoughtful touches like shampoo and conditioner in multiple varieties. Patti also messaged to make sure we had everything we needed. 10/10!

Great location, great stay

Rented this house for my parents to stay in the night before my wedding in Fredericksburg... Everyone was more than satisfied and was able to experience the Fred river life, without having to stay in a hotel. Patti was super quick with communications and the process was easy.

This is such a cute cottage. My three friends and I loved our stay here and enjoyed a nice bonfire in the backyard on a beautiful Saturday evening. It’s a great location and overall a great stay!

The best Air BB I've ever stayed in!! Clean, spacious, PERFECT in home temperature regulating!!! The hosts are so incredibly respectful that they will not attempt to enter area without asking first and ensuring you are there. They call it " your home" while you are their guest. I needed this time as I'm searching for a home to purchase and working long hours on data, etc. I needed the space, calm and comfortable, so much. I met them this morning and they are absolutely delightful. You could not ask for better. I'm sad to go! But looking forward to buying my home.

Very nice home in a nice new neighborhood. Feels very safe. We took a walk pretty late at night and we were very comfortable. You can tell that Dhiraj takes a lot of pride in his home and has converted the basement to a lovely apartment. Very spacious bright and clean. Would recommend it.

Dhiraj’s place was clean and spacious. The ping pong table kept us entertained, as well! While we could hear the family moving around and watching TV in the evening, the sound stopped around 9/10 in time for us to get a good night’s sleep. Overall, very nice place to stay.

This is a really great place! There is a large park and walking trail right across the street. The historic downtown district is within walking distance. Ash is very attentive to guest needs. The kitchen is fully stocked and has good space. We especially loved the cast iron pans and having a dishwasher!

We stayed at Ash’s place for a month. The location is very convenient. You are a 2 minute drive to downtown or less then 10 minutes to shopping centers. You are literally across the street from Old Mil Park, where there is a great walking/biking trail. The place is comfortable and had everything we needed. Ash was also very hospitable and responded very quickly to any questions we had. We recommend staying at Ash’s place when you come to Fredericksburg. Thanks Ash!

We stayed at Ash’s place for a little over two months while we moved to the area and bought a home. The location can’t be beat... close to downtown, Carl’s, the river and the trail system. It was a quick drive across the bridge to catch the VRE to commute to DC. The kitchen is well appointed and the bed is comfortable. We’d highly recommend Ash’s place!

Ash’s loft is such a great find! It’s right across the street from the Rappahannock River and Old Mill Park, with a great trail for biking, walking or running. We were here for an extended stay and brought our floats and kayak and loved being so close to the river. We will be back!

The house is even better in person. The trails that are located right across the street from the house are BEAUTIFUL! They have places you can easily access the water. Ice cream shop is within walking distance of the house and definitely worth the experience. I would definitely recommend staying here. The stairs are steep and slippery when raining, I learned this the hard way so head caution haha. Overall a beautiful place.

Jenny’s place is cozy and affordable — I had a great stay in Fredericksburg. Her dogs excitedly greeted me (and are so cute!) The bed felt comfortable, and I had a good night’s sleep. The shower was clean as well and had hot water. If I ever need to make a quick getaway to Fredericksburg again, I would certainly stay at Jenny’s place.

Jenny is an excellent friendly host with the most loving and incredible mini - but mighty - pups! She taught me how to make pasta from scratch...Jenny has mad host skills!

Had an obligation that took us to Fredericksburg for one night. First time using Airbnb. Jenny was a gracious host. The bedroom and shared bathroom met our needs - the bed was comfortable, the sheets were soft, and the linens were clean. Her dogs were adorable. Jenny, thanks for hosting us.

Jenny is really kind! The room and bathroom were very clean and even smelled great. The neighborhood is in a good quiet spot. There is another room next to this one that is rented out as well. I don't think that was mentioned in the listing but I think it's worth mentioning since the guy next door was very loud late at night. Not Jenny's fault of course, but it's something to keep in mind for anybody that needs a super quiet place at night. Overall it was a great stay at a great value. I'd recommend this listing to any individual or couple.

Simple small house with all the amenities you need to live like you are living at home. The location is excellent. Directly across the street from Old Mill park and a easy nice walk to downtown, which is maybe a mile away.

Immaculate, huge space and close to downtown Fredericksburg! Stefan and his wife are great hosts and they provided us with fresh rolls, milk and coffee creamer upon arrival. The check in is seamless and the separate entrance provides privacy and a feeling of being in a stand alone house. The decor isn’t over done, it’s just right and we felt very much at home the entire time. All in all a great air BNB experience and we would definitely return here if in the area again. Bonus—Stefan is a pretty cool guy from Germany where we are from:)

Dolores & Geoff have created a stylish, comfortable space that is perfect for a single person or couple to be wonderfully close to downtown Fredericksburg. Soft sheets, thick towels, and a comfortable bed were all greatly appreciated after a long day of sightseeing. We really enjoyed walking the downtown streets, going to several historic sights, and took the trolley tour for a very nice overview. The recommendations of restaurants and sights were spot on from their guidebook. I would not hesitate to book here again! :)

This cottage is absolutely adorable - very modern and stylish inside, and the hosts have thought of nice touches to make it a lovely space to stay, such as snacks, an umbrella to use if we had needed one, and coffee. I only wish we were staying for more than one night!

Hanover Cottage is the perfect location for a Fredericksburg getaway! The cottage was sparkling clean, decorated beautifully, and conveniently located near great restaurants and shopping downtown. Delores & Geoff have outfitted the cottage with state-of-the-art technology like a Nest thermostat, electronic keypad, Google home, and WiFi. It is clear they put a lot of work into this beautiful cottage and I would recommend it to anyone looking for a wonderful place to stay!

Hands down one of the best Air B&B experiences I’ve had (have stayed in 30 or so total). If you’re in Fredericksburg (or close) there isn’t a better option than this perfectly designed, quiet cottage in the heart of downtown Fredericksburg. Restaurants, bars, historical sites and entertainment literally just blocks away. Everything I’m walking distance. The place itself? The charm, ambiance and small touches of hospitality (like a hand written note upon arrival/snacks etc) set this place apart from the rest. Do yourself your favor and book now. I’ve already been back!

Perfect weekend spot in downtown Fredericksburg! Place was spacious but cozy, had everything we needed for the weekend and located right in the middle of everything. Easy to walk and get coffee in the morning, dinner at night and getting around the city. William was very responsive in the booking process and available for anything we needed. Will definitely stay here again and if you’re thinking about it, do it!

We stayed here for a date night getaway. The place was perfect. It has a view of Old Town Fredericksburg from the front windows, and the Rappahannock River from the back. Those old plank floors have so much charm! The wood burning fireplace in the living room was very romantic! William went out of his way to make us feel welcomed, and ensure our stay was comfortable.

Kris's basement space was perfect for a weekend away. The neighborhood is quiet and peaceful. The space is large and filled with cool decor. Kris provided multiple coffee options for a single cup brewing system, some snacks, and water in the mini fridge. The bed was super comfortable and the hot tub was a great addition to our weekend. We would definitely stay here again!

Great spot. Kris is great and so is Baxter 😊.More spacious and private than you expect. Hot tub was the cherry on top. We will be back again to see more of this historical town, this house will always be our first choice to stay.

Very clean, very cool finished basement, almost like it's own place with a mini fridge and a microwave. Kris was quick at responding and there was a tv and netflix!

Truly this is an excellent Airbnb. The space you have seems to be newly renovated with everything you could need! Kris provides several amenities including coffee, popcorn, an electric fireplace, hot tub, and a large TV with a great sound system. Kris also provides guests with food recommendations as well as things to do around town. If I'm ever visiting the Fredericksburg area again, there's no doubt that I'll look for Kris' place first before booking anything else!

This was a great place to stay. The place was really clean, there was a nice sofa and TV, the bed is very soft, the shower is great with lots of hot water and water pressure. Kris responded really quickly to us, which was very nice. There was a little coffee machine, popcorn, microwave, and a small refrigerator. It’s about a $12 Uber ride to downtown Fredericksburg, and there were plenty of Uber’s around. Would definitely recommend!

We had a wonderful stay at Kris's house, it was very comfortable and had plenty of space. The private entry made it really easy to access and we didn't have to worry about waking anyone. We were able to take the dog right out the door to the grassy backyard which was extremely convenient. Kris thank you so much for a wonderful stay and we had dinner at the Tavern up the street which we enjoyed and it was very close to your house.

Excellent space for a solo traveler. Love the private entrance and cozy bed; self-check-in was a cinch and Inez was extremely communicative. Great location, too -- about a 10 minute walk from the historic downtown area and only a few minutes from the battlefield.

It was a great stay and super convenient. Kitchen was a little small, but decently equipped. Wifi worked but was a little slow. I would have stayed longer without hesitation and would book again.

This is an ideal stay for history buffs. The space is perfect for individuals. A couple could also like it. I walked to the train, to historic district. It is small though. If you will spend a lot of time in the apartment it will be tight. Summer there is a patio that is lovely but inside is quite close.

Tanya and Michael are the most lovely Airbnb hosts I have ever met. They were easy to communicate with and opened their whole home to me. Everything they did was above and beyond for a host, including providing me with an early-morning breakfast before my race in the area. I would recommend this place to anyone! It is especially convenient for events at Lake Anna State Park.

I am so fortunate to have found Michael and Tanya's home, ; Chez Brown . Their home is perfectly decorated for the original period and they've thought of every warm detail to make their guests feel at home and relaxed. I only got to stay over one night but slept better than I have in awhile in the private bedroom/ bathroom, complete with a very comfortable bed , ceiling fan, lovely furniture and cozy sparkling clean bathroom. Their home lives up to it's description of " charming" and is also a great value for the food, drink and hospitality shared. Be sure and ask them to tell you the sweet story of the history behind the original build. I look forward to visiting again.

Charming home in a very convenient location

Denise will make you feel comfortable and right at home. She has thought of everything and her home is beautiful. We walked downtown where there are many unique places to eat and hit three geocaches on the way back, including one in the confederate cemetery. We thoroughly enjoyed booking with Denise!

Great place, lots of space for a big family. The dogs were so sweet and my kids were in love. The house was very clean, easy to locate and lots of local places to get supplies or go shopping. Very easy drive to DC and down town Fredericksburg is the cutest little town. The owners were very sweet the few times I saw them.

It had all the amenities a traveler needs as well as some of the wants. It was easy to find and located near shopping, restaurants and I-95. Our host greeted us at check-in and responded promptly to all communication. Their dogs were sweet and super friendly. This was our second stay and it was fabulous. Since we had recently stayed and they knew we had a toddler girl, there were new age-appropriate toys waiting when we arrived! After a long trip it was just what our toddler (and we) needed. The rooms were all orderly and just as clean as the last time, and we even got to play some more with Donald and Holly's sweet dogs (altho this is something easily avoided if you aren't dog people). THIS is the kind of place that makes Airbnb a wonderful choice--you aren't going to get these personal touches for this price anywhere else. Would highly recommend!

Comforts of home with hotel amenities! We felt right at home during our 3-night stay. Four adults and one child slept comfortably across the three bedrooms. The private entrance was nice to have, and the big backyard makes it feel like a cozy secluded spot (although it's really close to lots of shopping and eating, and I95). Extra bonus was getting to pet the gentle dogs owned by Donald and Holly! Would stay again.

Beautiful space the pictures just don’t do it justice ! Holly was very friendly and there was a bin of toys for my 5 year old . Very spacious and airy. Will recommend to family and friends .

Donald and Holly provide a clean, comfortable space for anyone who seeks privacy and peace. Your basic needs are met in a surprisingly large basement apartment which has been thoughtfully arranged. Although this apartment has no full kitchen, it still provides a traveler with all the basics and a little more. The quiet office space is very nice and even includes a printer! The place is exactly as advertised, but it goes beyond what I expected. And if you are an animal lover, as I am, you will delight in being greeted by their two beautiful, sweet dogs! That was a wonderful extra benefit to staying with Donald and Holly. I am going to highly recommend this place to my friends visiting and working in Fredericksburg.

This is a great spot if you are visiting University of Mary Washington. It is walking distance to campus as well as the town, which is lovely. The hosts are welcoming and the home has beautiful artwork handmade by the host herself. We felt like we were visiting family.

If I could give 10 out of 5 for Nicholas and Monika's gorgeous house I would. A beautiful period house in a charming area old Fredericksburg very close to the heart of the historic district. They are wonderful hosts. This was the most pleasurable airbnb experience I have had.

We had a lovely stay with Nicholas and Monica, their home is a historic gem in the centre of town, easy walking distance to loads of bars and restaurants and shopping and sites to see. They were incredibly friendly and excellent hosts, would stay there again if we are ever in the area!

Fantastic stay in Fredericksburg! This was my first time staying in a room in someone’s home on Airbnb but the hosts provided us with ample privacy. That said, we really enjoyed chatting with them and their home is very cozy. The place is immaculately clean, they provide guests with their own stocked bathroom and sitting room, and the bed was super comfy. Highly recommended!

Great place to stay when you want to spend time in Downton Fredericksburg. Close enough that it's only a short walk from downtown, but in a quiet, pleasant neighborhood that feels like home.

It was my first Airbnb experience and Brian made me and my boyfriend feel right at home for our short trip. Brian was great at providing information on what to expect when we arrived. I very much appreciated the accommodation to arrive a little earlier than planned. It was easy to come and go, and all the spaces were very clean and bright! We would definitely come back if ever in the area!

Comfy little spot in a quiet little neighborhood with a nice little fenced yard. Love the little garage made into an outdoor sitting area. Would be really nice in the Spring. Beds were comfortable, showers were nice. Some basic items in the pantry.. coffee creamers, ketchup mayo salt some seasonings tea ect. We added a few items to the stash 😊 2 Grocery stores and gas station just a few blocks east and on the north side in a little strip mall. Wifi worked great. Lots of other shopping in the area. Traffic can be a bit hairy.. 1 hour in at 1:30 to get to Reagan International but a 2 1/2 hr trip back in rush hour at 4pm. 7 AM traffic to USMC Quantico base (18 miles) was not bad took about 45 mins.. long lights seemed to eat up a lot of time.

Wow! The apartment exceeded our expectations. It is beautiful. Janet has very thoughtful amenities throughout and clear information to help with everything from remotes to places to visit. It is spotless and so comfortable! It's a perfect place to get away from everything but it's only a few minutes from everything you need! We cannot wait to stay again...for much longer! Hands down the best place we've stayed!

Janet’s apartment was just great! So well decorated, with all amenities. The beach theme somehow added warmth during our stay in the Fall. Instructions to get there etc were super clear, and she was always responsive. When we forgot something at the place, she was more than kind in coordinating its return.
