Great place and a great host. While staying in the area, I had a terrible situation with my car. Wesley had a rare day off and without much thought helped me out. He even offered to drive me 2.5 hours back home since my car would not be able to make it. Wesley has a great mindset for community and it truly shows staying at his airbnb. If I ever visit the area again, I will for sure stay in one of his rooms again.

Wesley took great care of us on our bike trip! He was a great communicator, made check-in easy, and was always available to help us. A real pleasure staying at his place.

The cottage is very lovely and quaint. It is close to the main road, but still very secluded. The grounds were so lovely and peaceful the photos don't come close to capturing its beauty. Al and Diane were great hosts and my girls and I enjoyed our girls only vacation!

The guest house was comfortable & cozy. I would not change a thing about it or my stay. I hope it will be available again as I travel to Frostburg several times a year for work. The hotel-like hot water, grade A sheets (thank you!), lovely surrounding gardens, friendly hosts, and easy proximity made it an enjoyable home away from home. This was my first Airbnb experience -- lucky me! Who needs hotels anymore?! Not me.

The house is very good, very beautiful, convenient transportation (self-driving), beautiful environment. The landlord couple is very good, smooth communication, but also to a lot of good advice. Next time must stay again.

Beautiful and comfy cottage! And a lovely heated pool to swim in. We loved being so close to downtown Frostburg -- very cute with lots of restaurants. We were a little sad that you could at times hear road noise from the front porch of the cottage, but all-in-all, very quiet and relaxing. (You can't hear road noise by the pool at all.) We loved being close to so many great state parks and outdoor recreation spots. Beautiful place and super nice hosts -- I highly recommend!

This is our second stay and we just love the place. Feels like you're secluded in the middle of nowhere, but your minutes from everything. We'll be back again in September.

We had a great stay! The pictures of the guest cottage don't do it justice. It was very quiet and relaxing in a great wooded setting, but within minutes of restaurants, stores, and lots of things to do. Al and his family are great hosts. We will definitely be back!

Although I didn't meet Heather, her place is nestled in the beautiful mountains of western Maryland just outside Frostburg. Check in was easy, everything was clean, quiet, and peaceful.

Very comfortable and convenient location for a short stay in the Frostburg area. It's a very cool house with character. The downstairs is spacious, and staying there was quite private and comfortable. Plus Heather is a great host!

The ceiling was a bit too low for me as I'm a bit tall guy. Other than that everything was in place nice and clean. For me it was the perfect place to crash.

The breakfast alone was worth 5 stars. Scratch made pancakes, French press coffee and one morning they even had asparagus and morel quiche. We wanted to see the local pottery studio they got their dishes from but it was closed on Sundays. Not a problem! Lisa called the potter (an old friend) and had our choice of mugs delivered to our room that day. Frostburg was such a charming little town and I can't imagine a better place to experience it from than Lisa's.

If you need a home base to explore Frostburg from I can think of no better place! Lisa was a helpful and friendly host. The house could not have been better located.

Lisa and her home were everything you could think of. They had a lovely jam session with excellent tunes and we stopped watching TV so we could dance in our room and sing along. Everything you could think of was in our room, including snacks and an air diffuser. It was definitely my most memorable, favorite, comfortable Airbnb I have ever had the pleasure to stay in. Staying at the Hitchins House is a MUST if you are ever stopping by, visiting, need a nights rest or even live in Frostburg.

The experience and hospitality far exceeded my expectations. Much more comfortable and convenient than I could have imagined. I might not stay in a hotel again, with accommodations as fine as Joe and Lisa provide.

This airbnb is a gem! Lisa's home was the perfect place to stay on our way back to DC. It's on Route 40, and right off 68. The home is beautiful! The room is large with one of the most COMFY beds I've slept in in a long time! This airbnb went above and beyond with all the tolitries you need and a yummy breakfast. Frostburg is a cute little town! I highly recommend! - we checked in very late and it was a breeze.

Justin has a lovely comfortable home which I happened to have all to myself. I felt immediately at ease and welcomed.

What an incredible house. So many antiques in there, all very tastefully arranged in all rooms and walls, this was really quite a sight to enter this house. I only stayed there one short night, Justin was very helpful in communicating how to proceed and very flexible about the arrival time.

My stay at Justin's home was everything I could have asked for! This room was perfect for our overnight stop in Frostburg. Our host was great! He was very flexible with us since we got a late start and arrived later than originally planned. The bed was comfy and bathroom was perfect. We even had a little time to chat with our host. We would stay here again!

Perfect for a group or just 1 or 2, this place was GORGEOUS no matter where you were. There was rustic, naturally weathered decoration to be found in every nook and cranny, much of it accented with flowers and plants of all sorts, and highlighted by twinkling fireflies at night. I was blown away by the amount of space we were given, and everything we could have possibly needed at home was readily available in the house. No need for a TV here.. Plenty of toys for ANYONE, and copious amounts of ping pong balls for... Throwing at other people when you suck at ping pong. Overall an amazing stay, can't wait to return!

Wesleys Playhouse is exactly as described. There are MANY extra amenities. They give personal touches too! They knew I was traveling with my daughter & they had a Mothers Day balloon & a cool etch a sketch drawing wishing happy Mother's Day message. Wesley was fast to respond to emails. He was very friendly & helpful. If your trip takes you anywhere near Frostburg I highly recommend you staying here.

We stayed with Wesley for a ski trip with colleagues and we all had a great time. His house is clean and spacious, in a great location. He was available to answer any questions and always replied very quickly. He has left a lot of food for breakfast which we really appreciated. Overall a great find!

My family and I loved staying at Wesley's Playhouse! We were on our way to NYC and needed a halfway spot to stay where all 7 of us could be together without getting 2 hotel rooms. This was perfect for us! The town is small and charming, and the drive there was breathtaking! Parking is so easy, right on the street in front of Wesley's house. Wesley & Crystal were extremely gracious hosts. The backyard is awesome - we UNPLUGGED from the world and played UNO in the gazebo. The wifi wasn't working but Wesley offered to connect us to his hotspot. We declined, because it was really nice to be able to just enjoy each other's company. There's no TV, either - and we were thankful for that, too! (Our 11, 13, & 15 year olds complained at first, but quickly got over it) The house is charmingly decorated - we felt safe and comfortable there. It's an old house but has been updated and has lots of interesting details. Wesley & Crystal had oatmeal, coffee, tea, snacks, water, and enough food for a full breakfast in the fridge! We were able to cook eggs & bacon upon waking the next morning. The shower had soap, shampoo, and other toiletries... and the water pressure was great! There were plenty of towels, etc. My only regret is that we had to rush off and weren't able to make use of the kayaks and bicycles that Wesley so graciously provides. Bottom line - we felt very welcome and at home, staying here. I would definitely book Wesley's place again, should the need arise.

Very clean and spacious room - just like the photo! We booked at the last minute, but Justin was very responsive and helpful, even though he was out of town, and he even helped us once we got settled in to find a great restaurant in Frostburg that we hadn't tried before. Although we weren't around long enough to sample the fresh eggs from his chickens, we will the next time!

Very pleasant place to stay. Heidi and her husband, Dale, went out of their way to make my wife and I feel at home. Guest bedroom and bath are on the main floor with an adjacent bedroom available if more space is needed either for up to two more members of your own party (up to four total) or, perhaps, as a separate writing or reading area. The two bedrooms and bath function as a small suite. Since it is a private home, the suite is not set apart from the host family living area by a door. There is great attention to detail in the decorating of the two rooms and the bath. The home is about 10 minutes northwest and uphill from Frostburg. The altitude is about 500 to 600 feet higher and, therefore, the temperatures are a bit cooler than Frostburg, which was great for us as we welcomed the escape from a July heat wave in central Maryland. The nearest breakfast, lunch and dinner is available in a wide choice of restaurants and fast food places in Frostburg. Many are more economical than you find at other locations in the state.

Certainly one of the most beautiful rooms I have stayed in. Facilities are great - these hosts are very accommodating, very clean and very friendly. The area is quiet and beautiful. I wish I could have stayed longer!

The yurt was absolutely amazing. It was comfy, warm, and beautiful. It was the perfect get away. The trails were gorgeous and the restaurant was insanely delicious.

Yurts are very cool and comfortable. The fireplace, robes, puzzles are nice additions. The environment is fun to explore and peaceful. Bad side was the food. Our (very expensive) dinner was disappointing and the breakfast muffins tasted bad as well.

We had a great time relaxing on this rural plot of land. The house is beautiful and the layout is cozy with the feeling of seclusion.

It was a cozy, comfortable location with a really good layout. Felt like being home. All needs provided. My only comment would be that the beds were firm - fine for us but not if you like a soft plush bed. Ivone gave us a last minute reservation but the house was all in readiness so thanks to her. I would definitely recommend for a family or small group and would return.

Had a weekend get away with a few friends from high school...perfect house for this! Cumberland is a cute town..train ride was fun...and coming home to this great house at the end of the day was wonderful!

We went to Cumberland for a family wedding. This home is the perfect place for a small family to stay! It was roomy, clean, bright and comfy! The kitchen was well equipped. There was even a fire pit out back, ready to go and a large porch for relaxing. Ivone was immediately responsive to all my questions. We will definitely stay here again when we come to town to visit relatives !

David is really awesome! We were especially impressed with his talent for fixing up a historic home and decorating it too! He just put the charm right back into it with such a fantastic little touch of modernity while still being a nice home away from home. The beds were highly comfortable and my sleep was wonderful on them. The house manager Jason was also a real sweetheart!

I did very much enjoy my stay in Cumberland. The room was as described, host was very nice and helpful, as well as being good company, bathroom was clean and well appointed. The house is a 'work in progress' and needs a bit more organizing and general maintenance. But it's a very cool old house and will be awesome with some continued TLC! Thanks very much!

My husband and I stayed 3 nights in this lovely house. It was like staying in a doll house. Check in / Check out was the easiest of our Airbnb stays so far and Sean's communication is exceptional. I cannot recommend Sean and his property enough.

This classic Victorian is great spot for a visit to Cumberland. It is a climb up, but clean and just right for two adults and two children. My grandchildren loved the room with slanted ceilings! Three adults would be quite comfortable and it is close to the Western MD train station for rides on the old steamer, as well as the bike trail and downtown.

Sean is very quick to respond to messages, and the self check-in process was very easy. The neighborhood is close to downtown with a lot of interesting old houses. The apartment has everything you need for a stay, including a full kitchen, although it looked a bit better in the pictures. Overall it was fine.

Beautiful building and very quiet location. It has the charm I would expect from the period and the location is perfect since it's only 10 minutes away from the Train Station and Downtown Cumberland. It is surrounded by historic sites and beautiful scenic areas. The apartment is clean and cozy and the two rooms are spacious.

Great place, very convenient to downtown Cumberland. The apartment was as described and check in was secure and convenient. The apartment was extremely warm, but the window air conditioning unit cooled the bedroom down to a comfortable temperature. The bed however, was extremely uncomfortable. I could clearly feel the springs from the mattress and didn't sleep well at all

Sean's place was convenient and as described. Loved walking the neighborhood to see all the old massive houses from the 19th century.
