The cottage is located on the banks of the clear Marukawa River. Gifu is famous for Shirakawago and Hida Takayama, but Enbara is also a nice place in the mountains, although it is inconvenient. The scenery of the mountains and rivers is beautiful, and it is a place rich in nature where monkeys and deer appear. The Enbara River is known as the most beautiful underground water in Japan and a famous spot for its light, and the inn is located about 800 meters from the spring water point of the underground water, so the water transparency is excellent. You can also see the light from the inn. On summer mornings, depending on the weather conditions, you can see a magical view of the sunlight pouring through the trees. The water in the Marukara River is cold, but in summer the children play in the river energetically. The riverbed is much cooler, so people can escape the heat and cool off. A little downstream there are several river play spots, and the water is clear everywhere and it feels good to swim beautifully. The water of the river shines emerald green in a slightly deep place, and the scenery of rocks and moss is also wonderful, and it is a healing spot where the mind is purified. There is a deck facing the river on the second floor of the inn, so you can relax while watching the river, BBQ, swing in a hammock while listening to the river, or refresh yourself in the tent sauna.

This is a single-story guest house located at the foot of the historic site "Kegatake". In a warm space made of pure wood, you can relax and enjoy the feeling of living in the countryside. The basic accommodation is room only, but meals can also be prepared for a separate fee. (Depending on the timing, it may be difficult to provide. Please understand.) From the summit of the "Shigadake Lift", a 2-minute walk from the inn, you can enjoy a panoramic view of the two lakes, Lake Biwa and Lake Yogo. 5 minutes by car from JR Kinomoto Station and Kinomoto Interchange. You can also enjoy a stroll along the Hokoku Kaido, where you can find Tomita Brewery, famous for "Nanayari", Sanji Brewery, famous for "Kuwa Sake", and Tsuruya Pan, famous for "Salad Pan". Haruya Guesthouse

Our guesthouse is in a beautiful mountain village, near to it are pristine forests with beech trees and an ancient mountain path that was used to carry sea products from Japan sea to Kyoto in old days. In front of the guesthouse runs a stream that is a source of Lake Biwa and its water is crystal clear ; in early summer nights many fireflies fly over the stream. In winter, we have a lot of snow ; sometimes it reaches 2 meters from the ground! On clear nights you can enjoy the sky full of stars.

The area aournd the house is once small castle town. The house is located next to the Shrine, Hiyoshi-Jinja, where the Omizo Festival is held on May 3 and 4 every year.
