The property is a self contained oak-framed barn. The Barn is situated just inside the entrance to Leigh Woods National Park and overlooks beautiful open countryside and the woods themselves. The woods boast excellent walking and mountain bike trails. The Barn is a five minute drive / twenty minute walk from Clifton village and a ten minute drive into Bristol city centre and harbour side. There is a bus stop a short walk away with direct links into Bristol city centre / bus / rail links.
The Barn is open plan and is only two years old. It has a king size oak framed bed. There is a bathroom with a walk in wet room / shower. There is a fully fitted kitchen with fridge / freezer. The Barn has Sky tv including all sports and cinema channels accessible on a 120” cinema and surround sound. There is Netflix and an Amazon firestick and also a large collection of dvds. Outside there is a large decking area overlooking open fields with a private hot tub. The Barn is safe and secure and resides behind Forestry Commission gates which are locked from Friday evening through to Monday morning. There is a gate key for guests.

The location was beautiful and the rain didn't stop us exploring. Would recommend this stay and we would definitelycome back and bring the little one with us next time😍.

    Our neighbourhood is close to everything, the large expanse of the Downs with dramatic views of Avon Gorge and the Suspension Bridge, the University of Bristol, Bristol Docks, Clifton Village, Zoo. We are central and in the hubbub of Bristol but on a leafy green street with classical Bath stone Victorian Houses. Lots of coffee shops, bars, express supermarkets just at the end of the road.

    Very big & spacious bright house, in the best location anywhere in Bristol! Located in the lovely area of Hotwells, this fabulous 4 bedroom house with separate living room and dining room is in the ideal location for visiting Bristol. The house location is around 10 minutes walk to the centre of town, 2 minutes to the waterfront, 10 minute to Clifton Village and around 15 minutes drive from the airport and 7 minutes from Temple Meads. With great pubs and restaurants just a few minutes walk
    The house is fully equipped with everything you should need to enjoy your stay and has beds to sleep up to 8 people and utilising the sofa beds you can have up to 10 guests at an extra fee of £25 per additional guest. The house has a great dining room with patio doors leading onto the back garden and an extra large kitchen so you can enjoy cooking whilst staying at our house. We also have a baby cot, high chair and stair gate should you be bringing the little ones.
    Hotwells is a lovely safe area of Bristol to stay in, with the river very close by and excellent views of the Bristol Suspension Bridge.

Although it’s worth noting that there is only one bathroom. Very good value for money, and the check in was easy as there is a key safe. Parking is a little complex as there are a number of options depending on the time of the day, but Max was very helpful to let us know what to do, thanks!

Only downside was that we could only get 2 parking permits, although we had 3 cars which meant we had to pay for parking elsewhere for our 3rd car. Would highly recommend this house to anyone.

    Newly refurbished, 1000 sq ft (93 sq m), light and airy garden flat in a large Victorian house. Seconds away from the restaurants, bars, shops and train station of Whiteladies Road. A few minutes from Clifton Downs and Bristol University. Guests have shared use of gardens. In addition to the kingsize bed, we have a Z-Bed plus a travel cot for infants.
    A large garden flat (900sqft) with 1 bed, en suite shower room and kitchen. Perfect for individuals or couples exploring Bristol or families. We have a travel cot and a Z-Bed (There is an extra charge of £15 per night for the Z-Bed). You enter from the back garden through French windows into a large open plan kitchen/dining/living room. There is a laundry room off the kitchen equipped with washing machine, tumble dryer, ironing board and iron. A door leads through a hallway through another door into the large kingsize bedroom that has a bay window overlooking the front garden. The bed has a feather-filled mattress topper to ensure you have a luxurious nights sleep. The bedroom has an en-suite shower room and toilet. All windows are double glazed and the flat has gas central heating.

  • We stayed at Sarah and Mark’s place over the weekend whilst visiting family. The property was much larger than we expected and spotlessly clean. The extra touches of milk etc were much appreciated. The apartment offers a great location for shops, cafes and tourist attractions in Bristol. The car parking space is a definite bonus. We would definitely recommend it to anyone and we shall return when in Bristol again.

    Lovely apartment in Georgian terrace with courtyard garden for sunny breakfasts. High-ceilinged sitting room with working shutters and mid-century pieces, gorgeous, peaceful bedroom, smart shower room and kitchen. Friends say, "I want to move in!"
    We have tried to make the apartment feel like a stylish home rather than an impersonal space. The sitting room has a large, shuttered window overlooking the street, a marble fireplace (not working sorry) and some rather nice pieces of furniture including Charles Eames style dining chairs, a comfy velvet sofa as well as vintage tables, lamps and pictures; there is also a television with Freeview etc and a dvd (nothing vintage there!). The quiet bedroom at the back overlooking the sweet garden also has shutters and a super-comfy king-sized four-poster bed from Heal's with Simba mattress and dressed in Egyptian cotton linen (please note this is a UK kingsize ie 150x200cm). A smart shower room has a large rainwater shower and Egyptian cotton towels. At the back of the flat is a lovely kitchen with gas hob, electric cooker, fridge freezer and washing machine. The back door leads into the garden so you can breakfast listening to the birds and the babble of the neighbour's water feature. Fresh coffee, milk and a selection of teas are provided for your arrival. If you would like me to pop some wine in the fridge or have any other requests, just let me know. Parking - Clifton Village has residents' parking which operates Monday to Saturday from 9am to 9pm so you will definitely find life easier without a car. The flat is very handily placed for buses and for walking so you shouldn't need one. Previous guests have forgotten where they parked theirs as they didn't use it! However there will be some provision for visitors with cars to the city so do please ask if you're unsure. The number 8 bus which you can catch from just by the flat goes to and from Temple Meads station via Queen's Road, Park Street, the Centre and Cabot Circus . We are within walking distance of the museums, theatres, Bristol Zoo, the Harbourside, the Downs and of course, the Clifton Suspension Bridge. If you're working, this is a great base as we are really close to the BBC and all the production companies as well as the university and BRI hospital which are all easily walkable.
    Clifton is just a lovely place to live and to visit. There are wonderful restaurants, shops and delis all within a five minute walk of the flat. There are lots of green spaces and the iconic Clifton Suspension Bridge is ten minutes on foot. On a sunny weekend, you really feel as if you're on holiday. Bring your swimming things for a day at the Clifton Lido, a five minute stroll!

    The Edwardian house is in a leafy tree lined street in a suburb of Bristol just a few minutes from fantastic transport links. In less than five minutes you can be on a train which can take you to trendy Clifton or bohemian Gloucester Rd both with trendy bars and eateries in around 10 minutes. Just a few minutes more takes you into Temple Meads with links to Bath, London and beyond!
    There are 4 double bedrooms, a twin room and a good quality sofa bed in the living room, a quirky 'Bedinet' in the Red Room means the house can accommodate !5 comfortably. The master bedroom can easily accommodate 4 people, 2 in the vintage double bed and two more in the day bed with trundle, both are full size beds with proper mattresses. There is an ensuite wet room with dual head Mira shower serving this room. All rooms are furnished with new high quality mattresses and bedding, the bedrooms have stripped wooden floors, to keep allergens to a minimum. Cats sometimes live here during the week but will not be present during your stay, everything is cleaned and steam mopped after they've vacated, but allergy sufferers may wish to avoid or bring antihistamines. There is new 100meg broadband ( Dec 2017) & wifi throughout the house, the lounge has a Smart TV with a Virgin Media V6 box ( the password is available here once booked and on the information sheet I give you when you check in) There is an HDMI port to connect a laptop should you need. I have a Masterlock key safe near the front door making it possible to access the property if I'm not available for any reason. You will be sent a Masterlock request from myself via email or whatapp on or around check in day. You'll be required to create a user name and password and then be sent a manual temporary code. Key in the numbers on the key pad and pull forward by the lugs on each side when the light turns green. After opening the door replace the key back in the box and close. For security reasons a new code is generated approx every 4 hours and anyone in your group can access the key with the code, alternatively the main guest can access the box via Bluetooth pressing any key via the Masterlock e vault app. I like to book all my guests in personally, give a full tour and answer any questions. The property is vast...on the ground floor there is a large kitchen diner with two tables and chairs to seat 14 plus, a snug off the kitchen , a large lounge with cozy log burner and generous sofa bed. I provide a fire for your first night (winter) but please bring logs etc for subsequent nights. 3 double bedrooms occupy the next floor. The main bathroom has been fully refurbished, with dual head Mira shower over the bath. The top floor has two further bedrooms (one kingsize/one twin, and a shower room also has a Mira shower. All showers have mains pressure hot water and two heads, one drench and a lower removable handset. Your beds will already be made when you arrive but I ask that each room strip their beds before checkout and leave on the floor. Wet towels should be piled separately. If you didn't use the towel supplied, please leave folded separately. Bristol won 'European Green Capital' in 2015 and as such we are very big on recycling. Boxes are provided for rinsed glass, metal, paper & card (not tissue) and a big food bin for any food. The kitchen bin is just for tissue and plastic wrapping, we have a small wheelie bin which only gets emptied fortnightly so we have to throw away as little as possible! When booking these are part of the house rules, if I then have to go through the wheelie bin to recycle & limit rubbish and a full bin for the next guests, I will make a charge of £20 and you will have deemed to have broken the rules and receive feedback accordingly. If each guest in your group does their bit, its easy.
    Shirehampton, although not central has excellent transport links making it almost '10 minutes to anywhere'. As mentioned previously the train and bus will take you further afield in next to no time. However there are a wealth of beautiful walks and scenery right here on the doorstep. Kingsweston House and woods is just a 10 minute walk away, while right opposite there is the breathtaking golf course. Slightly further is the wonderful Blaise Castle Estate with excellent kids play area, lovely walks and a fabulous free museum ( check for opening times), the actual Castle is quite petite and there is a fantastic view of the gorge from here. Also worth a visit is Ashton Court which hosts the International Balloon Fiesta in August, a free festival over 4 days with a huge array of events and spectacular balloon lifts each morning and evening (weather permitting!) For a good local pub try The Lamplighters, just a short walk from the house and family friendly they also serve great food (booking maybe required) or sip your drink next to the river and watch the sunset.

    Welcome to our Chalet Bungalow. We have lived here 10 years & created a green space with a pond & decks where once there was just concrete. We share our home with two beloved rescue cats, Cocoa & Spart. There is space for your car off-street & free street parking. We have 2 double rooms with double bed & another single room (separate bookings) Tea, Coffee, Cereal are provided for your breakfast. This room also has a pull-out mattress so 2 friends can share ( +6) but it is cosy!
    The Kitchen is available for breakfast provided, all guest welcome at breakfast. We have a microwave if you want to heat something to eat in the evening- this is only for guests staying more than 1 night. We are happy to make you a tea or coffee on arrival.
    Our nearest place of interest is Kings Weston House & park. It starts at the end of our street and has open green space, wooded walks, a grand house & a charming cafe.

    The Cider House is a wonderful historic building and the only remnants of the former Long Ashton research station. We are in a prominent location on the main entrance to the village of Long Ashton, where you can also enjoy local restaurants and pubs.     My home is close to the beautiful Portishead Marina and Nature Reserve which are both a few minutes walk away. The M5 is just 5 minutes drive. The house overlooks the River Severn and the hills of Wales beyond. There's plenty of restaurants nearby. The vibrant city of Bristol is closeby with good bus links. Weston-super-Mare and Clevedon are a short drive away. You’ll love my place because of it's location with the Marina and peaceful Nature Reserve on your doorstep
    This is a large comfortable double room with bathroom. There is a TV in the room and good Internet access. The area is quiet, yet a short walk away is the attractive Marina with its many restaurants and cafes. The nearby Nature Reserve gives you the opportunity for gentle walks and bird spotting on its ponds. The views towards the Severn Bridges is spectacular. Safe off road parking is available to you.
    The house is close to both the Portbury Nature Reserve with quiet walks and the attractive Portishead Marina. Nearby is the Lake Grounds overlooking the Bristol Channel and the Welsh Hills beyond.

Unfortunately my visit to Portishead was for business and such I didn't have chance to look around, but Monica's home, while being cosily tucked away in a quiet area, was close to anything I could have needed, with easy access to the motorway. I arrived later in the evening but still received a very lovely and hospitable welcome from Monica. I tend to be a little uncomfortable when staying in someone else's home, but any trepidation I might have had vanished as soon as I arrived. As I told Monica, it was a shame that I was only there for one night, as I could happily have stayed longer. If I'm ever in the area again, Monica's home will be my first choice for accomodation.

  • This was a fantastic place to stay, for just a couple of £ more a night, than a shared dorm room in a backpacker hostel I got a lovely little room all to myself. There was a laundry room with free use of a washing machine and tumble dryer plus an iron and an ironing board There was a large kitchen which was cleaned regularly by staff ( although at the time I stayed there was one young guy who insisted on making as much mess as possible and leaving it for others to clean ) But this wasn’t the fault of the property As it is a shared space it is the responsibility of the people staying there to tidy up after themselves I found the WiFi to work extremely well although I know some people higher up in the building we’re having problems with signal strength but you can always sit in the lounge and kitchen and have a strong connection There was also a lounge with tv And you could have mail sent there If you needed The check in process was extremely easy and the ability to extend my stay was a great addition I was overall very happy with my stay and would definitely return if and when I was in Bristol again

  • This apartment is located in a beautiful, quiet and leafy road in Clifton. There is parking at the rear of the building, an absolute essential in this area. The apartment block itself is rather plain from the outside (unlike the architecture of the surrounding buildings), but once inside we were extremely impressed with the apartment, which was open-plan, modern, newly decorated and spotlessly clean. Apart from a kettle, toaster and microwave in the kitchen area, there was also an oven and dishwasher. We only stayed for two nights, but for guests staying longer, the washing machine, vacuum cleaner, iron and ironing board would be very useful. A leather two seater settee, plus a small table and two chairs, are provided and the double bed has a comfortable sprung mattress. On the downside, we felt that the bed could have been bigger, and it was pushed up against the wall on one side. There was a large flat screen TV on one wall (we found it a little too high). The bathroom looked shiny and new, and it had a lovely shower. Linens and towels were immaculately clean. The apartment is located within walking distance of a Tesco supermarket, plenty of bus stops and Bristol Zoo, so it is in a great location. Communication from the owner was extremely efficient and courteous. We would certainly recommend this apartment to anyone wishing to visit this stunning area of Bristol.

Blaise Castle estate and Shirehampton Golf Course are close by. Avonmouth is a short distance up the Portway, either by the First (3) bus from Stop C on Shirehampton Green or by car. Otherwise it is a 30 minute walk. Local takeaways include Fish and Chips, Chinese, Kebab, and an Indian restaurant. There are also many more within close driving distance such as Sea Mills and Coombe Dingle which deliver for free. Cribbs Causeway is less than 10 minutes away by car, and 24 minutes on the First 4 bus from Shirehampton Green (Stop C). Less than 10 minutes by car from Clifton Bristol Zoo, and other attractions in the area include Bristol Aquarium and Bristol Museum.

    We've tried to make your room comfortable with all the amenities you might need, whether staying for a short break or just passing through. Our decor has a seaside theme, not surprising given our great view of the river Severn estuary/Bristol Channel, which you can see from your room. We're in a lovely, quiet, safe neighbourhood, a stone's throw from the beach and coastal path, just a couple of miles from the town centre with its shops, boating marina, cafes, bars and restaurants, sporting activities and lake grounds. Lots to do locally for all ages and interests. Very easy access to major roads and the M5 motorway, Bristol, South Wales, the Midlands, London, and the South West, etc.
    Redcliffe Bay looks out over the Severn Estuary with its busy shipping lanes and the 2nd highest tidal range in the world. The changing colours of the water, the light and sunsets, and sound of waves breaking on the beach are just magical. Just a few minutes' walk away is a pebbley beach and the footpath of the Portishead to Clevedon coastal path, which winds through woodland, past lighthouses, a disused golf course and piers. Portishead and nearby town Clevedon have a vibrant community spirit, a great range of amenities, lots to see and do, and easily accessible by road.

A good getaway from the hustle and bustle of Bristol and relaxation is probably the best way to describe this place. If you're lucky you'll get a visit from the house cat! Highly reccomend

    Delightful 2 bedroom self contained luxury apartment, with its own private access. It is situated within a short walk of the high street and the popular Marina, as well as the Lido outdoor swimming pool and the Lake grounds . Its location is perfect to explore Portishead town and its large selection of cafes, bars, and restaurants.     The Cellar has been converted from an old bakery attached to the main house. It is a unique property boasting arched ceilings, church style windows and even a well. It has open plan living with 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. The master has a kingsize bed and en-suite shower room. The second bedroom has 2 single beds which can be connected to make a superking at your request. It is lit by 2 electric operated and blinded roof light windows. There is a family bathroom with full size bath and shower as well as a laundry cupboard with washer dryer. There is an open plan kitchen, living and dining room. The kitchen has fully integrated appliances including dishwasher and a dining table than seats 4. It is a cosy and very relaxing space. In the lounge there is a TV and DVD player and selection of DVDs and games. The property has access to WiFi internet. There is a small outside seating area with sea views and off street parking. The apartment has its own private access and is fully independent to the main house. From the front door there are 4 steps down to the main living area, which is then all on one level. All towels and bed linen are provided. We do not charge for cleaning as it is included in the nightly rate. Travel cot available on request. Other things to note; * No Smoking * No Pets * We are in a quiet residential area and it is not suitable for loud guests or parties.
    Portishead is a lovely coastal town that overlooks the severn estuary and is only eight miles from the city of Bristol. The town has loads to offer. We overlook the lake grounds. The outdoor swimming pool, cricket pitch, boating lake, cafe, playground and beach are just a stones throw away. Portishead marina is a 5-10 minute walk away with a variety of cafes, bars and restaurants as well as a small supermarket. It is a pleasant place to stroll and enjoy the yachts and boats and pause for a coffee or glass of wine. The high street is also within easy walking distance with a good selection of shops, cafes, bars and take-aways, as well as several supermarkets. There is a lovely walk to the Royal, which a historic 1830's tavern with a sizeable terraced garden with panoramic views of the Severn estuary.

    This Terraced house situated in a quiet street in the port village of Avonmouth. We are just a few minutes by car from the M5 motorway. Avonmouth is just outside Bristol and has excellent transport links to the city centre. The bedroom is bright, warm and freshly decorated and quiet; it also contains a wall-mounted freeview TV.
    My home offers guests simple, clean and friendly accommodation including 'breakfast to go'. There are two breakfast cafes offering hearty full-English cooked breakfasts. I am happy to accommodate dogs. A travel cot can be made available on request.
    The neighbourhood is quiet. It has a Victorian heart complete with a little park. The neighbours are Bristolians and those who come to the area to work. There are a few shops nearby, pubs and small hotels serving evening meals.

There is a big Co-op very close, with a Waitrose, and either an Aldi or Lidl about 5-10 minute walk away.     Portishead is a beautiful small town of about 25,000 people. Close to Bristol, South Wales and the West Country. Our detached residence is superbly located, close to the main town centre and only a couple of minutes walk to the Severn Estuary Beach, where you can walk along the coastal path to the seaside towns of Clevedon and Weston super Mare. Bristol City Centre is approximately 25mins by bus and 20mins by car.

    Lovely, funky apartment set in a very quiet, secluded purpose built development. The property is ideally situated to be within easy reach of Durdham Downs, Motorway (M5), Clifton, City centre, harbour side and Southmead hospital.
    Please note our apartment is on the top floor (6th). There is a lift to the 4th floor, followed by stairs to the apartment.
    Within a 10 min walk, we have a selection of great local shops, restaurants, Church, park and the wonderful Sneyd Park Nature Reserve with Bishop’s Knoll Wood.

    Our beautiful basement flat has a modern, stylish space, perfectly located for exploring Bristol! With vibrant Clifton on your door step, opposite the Lido and with the city centre just a 10 minute bus ride away you couldn't be in a more central location! If you're a business traveller we are minutes away from the BBC, University of Bristol and 10 minutes from the BRI.
    The flat is spacious, modern and perfect for both business and pleasure! We've kept the decor simplistic throughout the flat to suit all travellers, however you will still see our personal touches here and there... As you enter the property you will enter into the spacious living/dining area. The sofa is brand new and one of the comfiest we've had! Not only is it the comfiest but it also pulls out into a sofabed should you wish to travel as a group of 3 or 4. Walking down the hallway towards the kitchen you have the bathroom on your right with a separate bath and shower, all brand new and modern. The main bedroom is located at the back of the flat overlooking the patio area - we've kept everything minimal and created a calming atmosphere. There's space for clothes in the bedroom, along with hangers in the wardrobe if you want to hang anything up. Parking permits are available on request The kitchen is kitted out with all the mod cons you need - dishwasher, microwave, oven, stove and kettle etc. If you continue through the kitchen you can walk out on to the sun bathed patio right at the back of the property. We've been lucky enough to get a large, south facing patio in Clifton so make the most of it! We've left table and chairs out there for you to enjoy the sun. Parking permits are available on request.
    Clifton speaks for itself - the area is gushing with character and you'll never be lost for things to do. The famous Clifton Lido is a stones throw away (visible from the top of the steps!) and the surrounding area is brimming with bars, restaurants and cafes. We will leave a MyQuarter card in the flat which will get you 10% discount at Racks Bar and Kitchen on St Paul's Road!

    Nailsea is a quaint town. Great open green spaces, perfect for walkers. Dog walking or travelling to nearby areas such as Portishead, Clevedon, Weston-super-Mare, Pill or the famous clifton Suspension Bridge. Bristol centre is 20 mins journey away. Easily accessible by bus on the high street. Returns around £7 per adult. Also taxis around £20 or Uber around £16-18. Although the drive into Bristol is very easy to do.

  • This is a great flat. Spotlessly clean, well furnished and does exactly what it says on the tin. We spent two evenings in the flat whilst visiting our son. It is well equipped and in a good location close to shops and eateries. The dog felt at home and there was a nearby space where he could let nature take its course. Also the breakfast that was included was a great added bonus. Dean responded quickly to all requests for information. Excellent free local parking. We will be back when we are next in the area. I would recommend Dean and his flat without any reservation.

J18 M5 is 5 mins away. Close to M4/M5 junction. 3 min walk from Avonmouth train station (15 mins to central Bristol). Local bus, Local Park and Ride, train, drive, or Uber into Bristol 20-30 mins. Aztec West, Cribbs Causeway, Portishead and Clevedon 15-20 mins. Airport 25 mins drive or 2 buses.
    You will be welcomed into a surprisingly spacious house. Each room has a modern, uncluttered, relaxing feel with colourful homely touches. This first floor bedroom is ideal for one or a couple. It is next to the bathroom. Upstairs are two more bedrooms on another listing for 1-4 people. 5 max in the house. The bedroom has a modern 'day bed' which is a large (200cm long) single with 2 mattresses. Guests have found it very comfortable. Can convert to a kingsize . Guests will often get exclusive use of the bathroom at key times. The large bedroom has a bed with a warm duvet, a tall chest of drawers, a chair and a bedside table with a bedside lamp and reading lamps, and wall hooks with hangers. There is a black out blind and a daytime screen blind for privacy. A kettle and tea/coffee tray is provided. Spacious, well decorated, calm with a comfy bed. The large family sized bathroom on the first floor has a modern bath, toilet, sink and shower cubicle, plus floor space. The shower has a large square head above or a second smaller adjustable one. There is a non slip mat if needed. Shower gel, shampoo and conditioner supplied as well as towels and other extras. Towels provided. The bathroom will usually be just for guest use at prime times. A second loo downstairs. The house is a family friendly 3 storey, recently fully refurbished, large terraced house with an extended ground floor. Each room has a feeling of privacy with good soundproofing. Shared, family friendly large room with access to the garden. Toys and books available. Guests need to be able to climb spiral stairs.
    Avonmouth is 7 miles along the river from Central Bristol. It has very easy quick access to Bristol; 20 minutes to drive, or 15 mins on the railway for just £2 return to Clifton Down or half an hour from Temple Meads station. Uber, taxis 20 mins to Bristol. Bus stops near the house for rides to the Centre and Broadmead. 5 mins drive to get onto the M5 and M49. 10 mins to M4. NB. There is no access to sea or views of it from Avonmouth. It is near the cruise ships and the docks. Portishead and Clevedon, about 20 mins by car all have good views of the sea. Buying food locally..the High Street has a small Co-op supermarket. There are several take aways within 3 minutes walk of the house (Chinese, Fish and chips, Indian and Pizza) and others a bit further away will deliver to the house. Use justeat.co.uk. Coming by train, there is a big Sainsbury, local food shops and many coffee shops and restaurants on Whiteladies Rd, close to Clifton Down Station. Often guests choose to go to Clifton Village to see the famous suspension bridge, then eat at The Thali, or choose to eat at one of the pubs or restaurants there. 20 min drive. Portishead with a Weatherspoons and other restaurants/pubs at the Marina, and Clevedon are options too. There is a well kept park with trees and a children's playground 5 mins walk away from the house. A couple of family friendly pubs in Avonmouth, The Miles Arms, with a big screen, serves some food. A 35 min walk or short drive along the river to The Lamplighter's pub for a good choice of food. A short 10 minute drive to The Priory pub in Portbury with good food. 15 minutes from Cribbs Causeway shopping centre with a big John Lewis and more. A good network of cycle paths around Avonmouth to Bristol, Blaise Castle, Portishead, Clevedon, Chepstow.
  • Linda is amazing host I have experience. her place is so perfect for me as it has all amenities in it and Linda prepares a good breakfast every morning. I would highly recommend this place if you ever want to stay in Avonmouth area. Avonmouth train station is just only 2 min from her place so in 12 min you can be in city so you are not far from Bristol city centre.

A large variety of Bristol landmarks and attractions can be found within walking distance, why not take a stroll to the world famous Clifton Suspension Bridge and Clifton Village Shops, Bars and Restaurants, just 20 minutes away. A longer 30-minute walk through Clifton Triangle and down Park Street will take you to Bristol Docks and Floating Harbour.

    The space is suitable for 1, a couple, or with the bed settee 2 friends. It would suit parents and 2 children for a short stay. I live here. You will be welcomed into a surprisingly spacious, calm house. Each room has a modern, relaxing feel with colourful touches. I have 3 listings in all: a top floor comprising 2 large rooms, a first floor calm, large bedroom, and this large ground floor double bed, well equipped space This room is very large, bright and modern. It has a double bed, a bedside cabinet, a large wooden table ideal for studying/working, a settee that can be converted to a bed, a large wardrobe with hanging and shelf space, a tall bookcase, open storage cubes, and an armchair. Ideal for a longer stay. There is a downstairs loo and sink just along the hall and an upstairs full bathroom. The windows have two sets of blinds to provide privacy in the day without hindering light and opaque blinds at night. The lighting is very good with 2 sets of dimmer lights in the ceiling as well as a table lamp. It is an interesting modern space. The room is next to the front door.and has a more independent feel than upstairs rooms. At the moment I provide a kettle and tea tray and breakfast if required( in the room or the dining room,) a toaster and a kettle. You can also have access to kitchen/ dining area in the evening with an understanding I am intolerant to wheat etc. I do provide separate cutting boards and saucepans and crockery etc. This hasn't caused a problem. Ideally use the hob or the multi cooker. My oven is not generally available for heating a meal, You can use the washing machine, or try the juicer. I can offer shared home cooked meals sometimes with a contribution. Some sociable evenings had! I do not have a TV or licence. If you have your own licence you can watch live tv on your devices.otherwise there are several local pubs showing live matches! One is the club just a few yards away. I have fast internet. IMPORTANT I am very allergic to smoke, strong chemicals and perfumes so no spray deodorants or hairsprays and strong aftershave in my home please. Many guests choose this space because they feel the same. These things linger so please do not think your little bit won't matter. Apply things in your own car on the way to work? Coming by train, there is a big Sainsbury, local food shops and many coffee shops and restaurants on Whiteladies Rd, close to Clifton Down Station which is just 3 stops away (13 mins). Often guests choose to go to Clifton Village to see the famous Clifton Suspension Bridge, or eat at the pubs or restaurants there. 20 min drive. Portbury and Shirehampton have food pubs . Portishead too, with a Weatherspoons and a big variety of other restaurants/pubs at the Marina. Clevedon has options too.. Nice on a summer evening to sit on the beach or at the Pier restaurant and eat supper! There is a well kept park with trees and a children's playground 5 mins walk away from the house. A couple of family friendly pubs in Avonmouth, The Miles Arms, with a big screen, serves some food. A 35 min walk or short drive along the river to The Lamplighter's pub for a good choice of food. She made a lovely breakfast every single morning with lot of healthy options. I don't think that you can meet such a good host normally. Regarding the house, and the double room in which my girlfriend and I stayed in, everything was well-equipped and clean. We enjoyed a nicely furnished room with a comfortable double bed. I can definitely recommend Linda's house if you want to enjoy your trip to Bristol.
