we had a terrific time after a day snow boarding. we walked to a fantastic pizza place and it snowed while we were there. we would definitely go back. we just didn't like hearing the other guests fighting with each other and slamming doors but I am sure that is a rare ordeal. we had a great time.

Our stay at the Spruce Moose Inn was perfect. It's ideally located in the quaint town of Roslyn and an easy walk to everything the town has to offer. The check in system hassle free and flawless. The room, though small, was very comfy, especially the bedding. I would highly recommend for a short stay in Roslyn.

Great location in proximity to the shops and restaurants in Roslyn. Check in and out was very easy! The heater was pretty loud in our room, so it led to a bit of a sleepless night.

Adorable Inn and a very cute town! I really loved the whole experience. I was only passing through town and just looking for a clean and well priced place to stay, but once I arrived I didn't want to leave! The room was so clean and comfortable, clear communication with the host, and had every amenity you could possibly need. Now any time I drive north I will make sure I take the path allowing me to stop in Roslyn at the Spruce Moose.

Everything about stay was easy and seamless checking in and out. They changed our reservations for a larger room which was perfectly fine. We communicated via website/app. We met the hosts coming in and out of the inn, and they were superfriendly and approachable. The Red Bird Cafe has great coffee and food. My friend is wheat free and they have many gluten free options! I would come back!

Roslyn is a darling old logging? town east of Seattle near Cle Elum. I was there for a horse show at the nearby horse park, an easy 10 minute drive. I wish I'd had more time to explore the area and nearby trails. Nancy was very available for questions and the place was clean and had everything I needed.

Lovely house in a great town. Hosts were extremely helpful in their preparation. If we're back through town this home would be a leading option in our minds. Just far enough away from the day-time visitors to Roslyn that it's still quiet, but close enough to stroll over.

We had a lovely stay in Nancy's house in Roslyn. The house is as described, and it was very clean and comfortable. We loved having the run of the house with our two kids. There was still snow and we were able to use their sleds and snow shoes, and we went ice skating in Suncadia. We love staying in Roslyn--so full of history and character--while still being able to access the amenities of Suncadia. Nancy was always very communicative. We'd love to stay in this house again!

The listing was exactly as described. The location was perfect for us - only a 5 minute walk into town. Nancy was an amazing host! She checked in with me before my stay to make sure I had all of the information I needed for a seamless check-in. She left a bottle of wine, and homemade jam on the table for us when we arrived. All of the beds were so comfortable, and the house had so much charm!! I would definitely recommend staying here if you are heading to Roslyn! Our group left a couple things behind at the house, and Nancy was quick to offer to mail them to us in Seattle. We so appreciated our experience here!

A group of friends stayed at Nancy's house for a summer weekend during the eclipse. Communication was great and check-in was easy. House was clean and well appointed and we appreciated being able to walk into town (5-10 minutes) or to explore the nearby park and nature trail. Note: cell reception was spotty, but WiFi was speedy enough to handle multiple users as well as streaming video for the small television.

The house was great, it was very clean and exactly what it looked like in the pictures. Nancy even left a bottle of wine for us to enjoy upon our arrival. It was close to downtown Roslyn, only about a 5 minute walk to the park, cafes and the Brick Tavern. They also support local artists and had some great pictures and art available if you were interested in any, which we thought was really cool. All in all it was a very comfortable stay and we would definitely stay there again.

We loved staying here. Its a cozy little place and perfect alternative to Suncadia. We were there for a wedding and it was great. They had a bottle of wine and homemade jam (That was a delicious addition to our breakfast) for us upon arrival and Nancy went above and beyond for communication. THANK YOU!

This is an amazing house, in an amazing little town. We got fresh fish at Pikes Market before heading to the house, and I was hoping (because I have rented houses before with less than awesome available kitchen pans and utensils), that there was an available cookie sheet to cook on. When I walked in and noticed the martini shaker, I knew the kitchen would have everything else I could possibly need to cook what I wanted. This home exceeded our expectations on every level.

This home has a fabulous interior, including a shower you won't want to leave, and a fantastic kitchen. We enjoyed coffee and wine on the front porch. Danae was a great host, very responsive, and the home is accurately described. We give it a high rating.

This was a spectacular place to stay. It's two blocks from "downtown" where you can grab a yummy breakfast or hit the Sunday Farmers Market. There is an incredible trail system if you are a runner/walker or biker right around the corner from the house--the single track will amaze for miles! The house is phenomenal. I'm not sure whether it was professionally decorated or if Danae just has a great eye for design but I was blown away. From the "rustic" feel and chic accessories to the awesome and spacious shower with faux-wood tiles to the fully stocked kitchen, the stay was more than we could have hoped for. The yard was big with a nice hammock for snoozing and fully fenced for a children and pets. Danae was easy to work with and very communicative. We enjoyed the stay and look forward to making our way back to Roslyn again.

If you are staying in Roslyn, this is the best choice by far! Great location and nice home! Centrally located and walkable to the downtown area. Will absolutely stay again!

Absolutely lovely. Room was spacious, clean and comfortable but more importantly had lots of character. Great views of downtown Roslyn. Red Bird Cafe downstairs does great coffee and the town is friendly and lots of fun. Candy store next door does fabulous icecream and some great art and crafts to buy in the store opposite. John was really lovely and helpful and gave us great tips for hiking trails in the area. Very sad to leave...we'll be back soon!

We had such a great time in Roslyn as a stop-over on the way to Idaho. The Jumper was a great little room for the three of us with comfy beds and (much needed) A/C. The only critique we would have is that there were no mirrors in the room and with shared bathrooms it was a bit of a rush for three ladies to get ready without hogging the bathroom. Overall it was a great experience in a great little town and we would definitely recommend it!

The location alone is perfect but the place it self was idyllic. Above an awesome cafe, 1/2 block from the brick tavern and Sunday morning we woke up and went to the farmers market that also was a 1/2 block away. Loved this place!

Hi John - It was great meeting you and your wife and staying at the Moose again...only regret is that it wasn't longer. Just like last year, everything was great. Checking in with the code into the building and room could not be more convenient or any easier. We got to stay in "The Jumper" (#2) this time, and although the room was smaller than #3, it was just as comfortable, clean and quiet! We had a great time enjoying Halloween at the Brick and other downtown locations -- The Spruce Moose Inn could not be possibly any more convenient for that! We'll definitely be back for a 3rd visit! The house, the town and all of the amenities were wonderful! John gave very detailed instructions which made the access so smooth and easy. John was very friendly and warm when he greeted us while shoveling snow from the front of the house. One other perk when staying here is that you can walk in your slippers and pajama down the stairs to get coffee and breakfast. Everything was great, thank you!

The Spruce Moose is most convenient, located directly upstairs from the Red Bird Cafe' (excellent food and treats), and within walking distance of Roslyn's best eating establishments and grocery store. I was able to use the Cafe's wifi upstairs without trouble. Everything was clean and comfortable.

Cabin was the perfect getaway for us! Close to many recreation opportunities and set on Lynda's beautiful property. Lynda was a great host and was very accommodating!

Lynda's place is rustic indeed. She's an accommodating host and the cabin is cute. Just be prepared for some bugs, hot temp at night (summer), and lack of things you knew it lacks going in like wifi, AC, etc

This was one of my favorite airbnb stays yet.... and I've had quite a few. Lynda did not realize I had instant booked for the night, so when I called to see if the place was ready (somewhere between 8 and 9pm), she laughed, and then had the place ready for me in minutes. I slept really well that night~ as the cabin is right up next to/within the forest: so peaceful, relaxing and serene. Its a cozy, rustic little cab... which I really appreciated.... I believe many others will, too.

Linda's cabin is the perfect please to retreat for rest, relaxation, and contact with nature.

Surroundings nice and quiet but cabin not up to standards of cleanliness and comfort: Bad, musty smell, garbage not taken out, carpet not vacuumed, no window or fan in bathroom, poor window screens allowing many bugs in on this warm summer night. All this did not make us (especially my wife) feel clean and comfortable. She did not trust the freshness of the bed linens either.....

This was a rustic, quiet, and quaint cabin next to the forest. Host was hospitable and friendly.

For being close to central town, the privacy and quietness of the location was nice. Our oversized tent fit comfortably amongst the trees. The hosts were away, so we didn't get to meet them, but the self-serve camping experience went well.

Great location! It's about a 15 minute walk to central Roslyn. Jeff and Monica are super responsive and helpful. Just note that it's simply a plot of land so be sure to bring everything you need to be comfortable.

wonderful little rv hideaway just a walk away from the cute town of Roslyn with the Brick Tavern, pizza, ice-cream and the best breakfast place next to the sweet shop. A friendly horse on one side and very nice neighbor a ways down on the other. Guests have party lights strung for evening ambiance and the sounds of the field are relaxing. Hid here with our retriever to get away from the July 4th fireworks in our town. Thanks you Jeff and Monica for sharing your camp spot.

Such a nice secluded get away. Very pleased.

House was overall fine. Some particular things to mention is that the downstairs bathroom has no lock (and has the only shower) and the upstairs bathroom in the master bedroom has NO door and only a bathtub. When we went (9/2016) there was a 'no burn' order in effect so we couldn't use the fire pit. A big concern was that when we arrived both the trash and recycling bin were full so we had to unexpectedly carry our own trash with us home. As a temporary solution, we left our trash bag outside one night and the next morning it looked like an animal tore through it leaving a mess that we had to clean up. Unfortunate but we had no other choice. As another reviewer mentioned, the cleaning rules are very strict compared to other airbnbs. We left the inside of the house in great condition but we were still called out not cleaning and drying every single linen/towel/bed sheet we used (we had 8 people) even though a large cleaning fee is already included. We made it convenient by stripping the linens and putting them in an isolated area and finishing the first load. Not entirely sure what the cleaning fee includes in that case.

Had a great experience at Sarah's cabin. The home was as advertised and provided a great experience for me and the other guests. Would definitely recommend to anyone staying in the area.

This was a great place to stay. Very clean and decorated uniquely. Close to unique town of friendly people and things to do, walkable. Host was very informative and welcoming.

Sarah's place is a super fun spot directly next to a trail! It also borders a large field with a playground on the far other end. Not only is it surrounded by nature, but it's practically right in town. We enjoyed cooking our meals on her modern appliances, playing games on the large table, watching movies and playing outside. There is a large jetted tub, 2 spacious bedrooms, and a small finished attic/loft space that makes for the perfect little getaway. (Be advised, however, that if you are allergic to dogs, to be aware that this is not a dog-free house.) Thank you Sarah! We had a great time!

Nice location, tucked away at the edge of town. Close enough to walk to main street on the mining trail or city streets. Great proximity to the park for children's activities.

A warm and cozy getaway! Our host was delayed when we arrived for check-in, but we found the door to the tiny house unlocked and let ourselves in. We were able to have a few questions answered via text message, which helped us get settled, and Stacy recommended a great place for dinner. When we got back from dinner, they had left us a card with a very nice note and even some pie for desert, which was a very sweet gesture. The tiny house is cute and as described, although somewhat less secluded than we had expected. We had a comfortable and pleasant stay and enjoyed seeing snow on the mountains and a Thanksgiving parade in Roslyn.

Stacy was such an amazing host. She welcomed us on the first day and made us feel at home in her beautiful cabin. The upstairs loft was so warm and cozy. The downstairs had everything we needed (refrigerator, TV, coffee maker). Stacy even stocked the kitchenette with coffee, tea and hot chocolate. What a wonderful treat! You will not be disappointed with Stacy's cabin.

Had a swell time in the funky little cabin. It was our first Airbnb experience and we will definitely be doing it again. We really enjoyed how cozy it was, much better than staying in a hotel! Stacy and Kirk were helpful and friendly. They even gave us some stuff to cook with, like coconut oil, sriracha, butter, etc. Ronald is close to Roslyn, close to hikes and lakes. It was exactly what we were looking for in location and our budget.

Wonderful place! Very cute tiny cabin in a quaint town. The cabin is right across the street from a bar with plenty of food and drink options, and only 15 minutes from Cle Elum. Hosts are very kind and accommodating; you'll feel right at home.

Great newer home built with all modern amenities. Very comfortable for 7 adults all sleeping individually. There are no window coverings throughout the house, so plan accordingly. If you don't want to be woken up at sunrise you just need to get a little creative. I built up a walk of pillows to block out early AM sun. Overall I think that's the only bad thing, however it bothered several of our guests. A touch expensive compared to other nearby offerings.

This was a lovely place to stay while visiting central Washington. We vacationed with another family (3 total children) and we never felt cramped. Ryan and Sarah were also great hosts and very responsive to all of our questions.

What an amazing home! The house is perfect inside and out, set high up in the trees with the most beautiful view. The interior of the house is immaculate, clean, and the kitchen is stocked with everything you need. We could not have asked for a better spot for a group of friends to stay while we attended a wedding nearby. My parents and I found this to be the most perfect place to stay during my cousin's wedding at Suncadia! The house is so cozy and comfortable, and we felt very at home. David provided so much for us, and everything was so clean and organized! Very comfortable beds and David even reached out to us to make sure everything was going well. The neighborhood is quiet and easy to find. We couldn't have been happier with our stay and would recommend it to anyone!

David and Carmen were the best hosts I have ever experienced. They thought of everything! The location is fantastic for exploring all that the area has to offer. We will be back for sure.

We have rented vacation homes for years and never have we felt so welcomed! David and Carmen went above and beyond, leaving a box of toys for our kiddos and stocking the fridge with some grown up goodies for us. We felt like we were staying at the home of friends. They were quick to respond when we had questions during our stay and made great suggestions for what to o while in town. The house was the perfect size for our little family of four. We had a great getaway together and are already looking at dates for another trip in the fall.

We had a great time! Great proximity to hiking, river, etc.! The house was even better than the pictures with a great front porch for relaxing, a nice quiet neighborhood, and a very reasonable price. Hosts were great at connecting and making sure we were well taken care of and responded very quickly to messages. I think we will be back next year!

David and Carmen were great hosts. The house was very clean and well stocked with anything that we needed. They also were great about leaving little treats for us to enjoy our stay even more. They were very helpful leaving hiking and restaurant reccomendations.

Our group stay was excellent! David and Carmen went over and above to make sure that our stay was comfortable. The home presents just as it is advertised. It is situated off a main street with just a couple of homes tucked around on surrounding private properties - it is not situated in a traditional neighborhood. The neighbors were quiet and the main street behind the house is pretty quiet as well, so we all slept great! Between 5 adults and 2 kids there was plenty of space to relax watching TV, spend time chatting in the kitchen or enjoy the good size front porch over a cup of coffee. David and Carmen were timely in communication and answered all of our questions - they made some great recommendations with regard to nearby activities and Roslyn entertainment. We visited nearby Lake Cle Elum for an afternoon swim then filled our appetites at the local pizza pub! No shortage of casual dining within blocks of this property, nor grocery stores if you would rather pack it in and spend time with friends or family at the house. The home was incredibly clean, organized and had more than enough amenities. You can see that David and Carmen take a lot of pride in their property - it shows, starting from their communication all the way to the lavender soap in the washrooms. I highly recommend this property if you are looking to disconnect from the day-to-day grind in exchange for a relaxed stay in a quaint town with rivers, lakes and trails as your playground. This property was surprisingly roomy. Comfortable furnishings, a good layout for cooking and hanging out, with a well- equipped kitchen. It offers a very lovely view of Lake Cle Elum. Also probably worth noting that it's in a wooded area up a fairly winding, hilly, unpaved road.

Really nice place. We enjoyed ourselves a lot. Steve was super responsive and helpful! If you go in the winter be prepared to hike in the snow to get to cabin. It is kind of fun to have to hike in your stuff but may not be the best for folks with with physical issues. Overall, it was a really nice place and I would totally go back. :)

Had a great time at Steve's place. The views from the room and hottub were amazing. Appreciated the pantry essentials were all there for cooking. Slight cleanliness issue with the coffeepot being dirty but easily fixed. Check in and check out was a breeze. Overall we had a great stay.

We had a nice time at Steve's place. It is very peaceful and just a short drive to Roslyn for dining out or to Cle Elum lake. The deck is small though and the outdoor space at the cabin is very limited.

Steve's place was fantastic and he was a great host. We (three couples) stayed during the winter so the road up to the cabin is closed. He helped us bring our gear up to the cabin with his snowmobile when we arrived. It's a moderate hike up and easy on the way down if you don't have a snowmobile. We did not mind the hike as it added to the snow cabin experience. The cabin is close to snowmobile rentals and the trail system. There's plenty of hills to go sledding near by. Looking forward to coming back maybe in the summer.

My first time using Airbnb & it was a great one! Steve was great at constant communication whenever I asked a question. The location is perfect, we went to the lake all day which was a short 2 miles away & wandered into Roslyn at night... It was so much fun, the house had everything we needed.... Definitely will do it again next summer!!!

Great host and great place. I'm using the place for business travel during the week. My family is also coming with me so you may see my name in the reviews often. We are staying there with twin 2 month old boys and a 3 year old. Steve has been a great host and very accommodating. Our 3 year old loves riding his bike around the neighborhood and we like letting him because the neighborhood is quiet with very little traffic to worry about. He also likes playing in the trees around the house. Staying with infant twins has been as good as staying anywhere with twins can be. Steve made it clear his house isn't baby proof, but our experience has been that it's not dangerous by any means.

Loved this place! Very well-stocked cabin in a nice location. Easy access to Roslyn and Suncadia and starting point for many adventures. Loved grilling out on the deck!

My family and I had a great experience staying at Steve's place. He contacted me the day before the trip to warn me about the fresh snow fall in the area (which I greatly appreciated), and definitely made us feel welcome overall. The house was just as the listing described - the basement room (converted garage) was nice and comfy, and worked out great as a play & sleep area for my four kids.

Steve was very responsive and easy to work with. It was a perfect place to stay in-between some awesome hikes.

We spent a wonderful summer weekend in Steve's cabin with our three little kids. Steve provided us with all the information we needed prior to arriving. The cabin itself was clean, tidy, beautiful and very well equipped. We all really enjoyed being in the woods. In addition, there is access to a trail along the Cle Elum river just a few minutes' drive from the cabin and to Cle Elum lake, which were both great fun. On our way back, Sunday morning, we discovered a nice open market in Roslyn. Thanks for a great weekend!

Kristi's description of the cabin was spot on and she was quick to respond when I had any questions. The floorplan was great for us all to play board games and enjoy each other's company. We even took a stroll in the snow on some of the trails behind the house. Overall, it was a great experience and my friend and I were impressed. inwould highly recommend this place!

Large, clean, everything you need and more. Quiet, fully stocked. You will want only for food. Host never intruded. Generous kitchen exchanges (spices, etc.). It was perfect for our group of 10. EVERYONE LOVED IT. NOT ONE COMPLAINT.

Our group had a wonderful stay. The owners have put a lot of thought into the various amenities and obviously care a lot about this wonderful cabin if theirs. We really enjoyed the fire pit, hot tub, and ping pong table. I would highly recommend this cabin for any kind of larger group getaway. And there is plenty to do and see around Ronald and the general Cle Elum area.

We had 9 guys stay here for a reunion/get together. It is very spacious and well furnished. It was in between seasons when we went so I can't speak to snowmobiling, hiking or golfing in the area. It is a beautiful location, and especially loved the hot tub and how close the brick(a legendary bar) was. Our Host was very gracious and accommodating. Highly recommend! Just a heads up it is secluded but your neighbors are deceivingly close, so you need to watch your noise when it gets late.

Kristi was so accommodating! We had a few last minute additions so she connected us with one of the neighbors to rent out their cabin for the weekend as well. The property is beautiful! Definitely check out the trail that leaves from the house. We spent a lot of time outside BBQing, soaking in the hottub, and playing yard games. We also loved that it was only a short drive to Lake Cle Elum and to go into town (check out The Brick!). The house is very spacious with lots of beds and a big kitchen for cooking. The master bedrooms are really nice. We also were able to bring our dog which was great since we spent so much time hiking and exploring the area. We would love to rent this place again. Thank you!

This place is fantastic! We arrived with a nice note and treat from the hostess. The place was spotless and had everything we needed (including honey for my tea) in it's well stocked kitchen--as was the bathroom. There were clean beach chairs and beach towels for our use. The kids loved playing darts and ping pong and also played poker outside in the gazebo area. The hot tub was a popular staple in the evenings looking up at the stars. There were games indoors too with good movies to pick from. The wifi was great too! I cannot say enough good things about the place. The area itself, however, was a bit lack luster. The "beach" area was sooo windy that we couldn't launch our raft and only hung out there for about 90 minutes. It's kinda nice to look at, but we just couldn't find a lot to do in the area (we don't have a mini bike or quad) so thank goodness there was fun stuff to do at the cabin. If you want summertime R&R, this is your place. Thanks Kristi for a wonderful stay!

Gorgeous, comfortable, huge stocked kitchen-spices galore plus big pots and pans for big meals with family, beautiful linens and decor. Ping pong, covered outdoor dining area, hottub and short drive to Ronald or Roslyn. Great price for a big group and the home is bigger than the pictures make it look. Kristi was very accommodating and quick to respond to texts and emails. We would rent this home again. Surpassed our expectations!! 5 star all the way!!

We had a wonderful experience at the Mountain Mermaid House. When we arrived there were fresh cream puffs in the refrigerator along with a basket of chocolates and champagne. The house was very roomy, with bathrooms in most bedrooms. We went hiking in the snow on the Coal Mine Trail, Ice skating at Suncadia and wine sipping at the Swiftwater Winery. We were able to watch both NetFlix and the SeaHawks. We loved the quirkiness and art throughout the house. Thank you, we had a great time exploring Roslyn!

The Mountain Mermaid is the perfect getaway. The layout of the huge dining room table next to the living room makes it ideal for families or large groups to hang out, play games, and socialize. The many rooms and nooks provide plenty of space, and the fenced-in backyard made it easy for us to bring our dog. Rosyln is a cute town; from the house you can walk to establishments like the Brick or, for carnivores, the much-recommended Carek's butcher. And of course, you're very close to fantastic hiking and mountain-lake views.

The place was perfect for us. Family friendly, plenty of beds and baths. Great kitchen for cooking and hanging out as a group. We would definitely return if Roslyn is our destination again.

A personal note was left on the kitchen counter along with a welcome basket of Champagne, wine, candy canes, a goblet of chocolate, a Roslyn tree ornament and a delicious blackberry cream pie in the refrigerator. The message also included contact information (host) in case we had questions. The house was clean and the beds were comfortable. The kitchen was amply stocked with dishes, and everything you needed (utensils) to prepare a meal for 10 for 4+ days. We contacted the host to obtain a shovel for the snow and it was delivered within a couple hours. We also left behind an important piece of technology and the host offered to send it back to us via the mail. This is above and beyond for sure!

We had a nice stay and enjoyed the house. The post stay experience wasn't great as the owner slammed unreasonable cleaning expenses onto us. It took a lot of time more than anything dealing with owner and airbnb to resolve the matter.

The Mermaid House exceeded our expectations. The house was perfect for our weekend stay. The personal touches of the house made us feel right at home. We loved being able to walk to downtown Roslyn for breakfast and also walk through the farmer's market. We will definitely be back!

This was a great little getaway!

We really enjoyed our time at Jake's very comfortable cabin. The fishing and cabin decor was great! Everything we needed was provided, good beds to sleep in, easy to get into and out of, easy check in and out. The location was wonderful for our family reunion. It was fun to see Roslyn and try out the restaurants in Roslyn and Cle Elum.

Loved this cabin outside of town! Great walk to the lake, short drive to town, awesomely quiet space, the pictures do not do the cabin justice. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and any queries were answered via airbnb messing or text quickly. No cell reception inside the cabin, which I loved, but my husband, not so much. Wi-Fi was just fine with me, cannot speak to the tv, we never turned it on. The only drawback, is no dishwasher, so if you're planning a big meal or holiday type shenanigans, plan accordingly and bring disposable stuff. We would not hesitate to come back!

This house was perfect for our group of 7. We had three kids and they provided a high chair, pack-n-play and great toys. They loved it. It was also fun to walk to the lake. We'd definitely stay here again.
