Tomorrow River Homestead provides community lodging and programming in a quaint village setting in Central Wisconsin. We offer private rooms, large shared kitchen, washrooms, and a living room/office. There is an open studio for artists, a garden available for tending and 4.5 acres to explore along the Tomorrow River. Guests may relax in common areas or experience the river, lake, and 40 acres of trails. We welcome all and encourage folks of all identities to find refuge on our peaceful land.
Each room is flooded with natural light with views of the our old red barn. You can cozy up in a queen bed under a down comforter and enjoy the stillness of the country. While wifi does not reach each private room, guests have access to internet in the large communal kitchen, the living room/office or the artist studio. Our kitchen is stocked with basic cooking amenities, gas stove, a refrigerator for guests to store food and stocked with Ruby Coffee roasted just across the street. Room 5 is our most popular because we keep it the least expensive due to its relative size to our other rooms. This specific room measures 8' x 14'. While most guest love that this is the least expensive room they often realize it’s the smaller room. Please do not book if you want 3 extra feet of room, please consider checking out rooms 3 and 4. Guests can use our canoe or black tubes to travel the Tomorrow River which borders the back of our property. Hike the Nelsonville Community Sanctuary, a 40 acre nature trail located just down the street from our homestead. Discover Lake Elaine just a 15 minute walk south or ride bikes along the Ice Age Trail. Central Wisconsin is known for its small organic farms, quaint food co-ops and a year round farmers market. We have a wonderful array of restaurants, but guests should feel welcome to shop local and cook up in the kitchen. Get a flight or bring home a growler from Central Waters (Amherst), Oso’s (Plover) or H.H. Hinder (Waupaca). Whether you head 15 minutes west to Stevens Point or 20 minutes east to Waupaca, there is plenty for the pallet. Our home is not ADA accessible, our main living room area and washroom is up two steps. There is an extra bathroom large enough for a wheelchair, but it is not coded ADA. The hallways and doors are wide enough for wheelchairs, but there is a 1" bump at the two exterior entrances. We are dedicated to becoming more suitable for folks with varying abilities and we encourage you to contact us for details, inquiries and suggestions. This room is located in a wide corridor with six rooms total. We currently rent out four of these rooms to guests. For a group rate, please message for availability and rate.
Nelsonville is one of those quaint places you always dream of stumbling upon while traveling. We moved here last year because we wanted to be around an incredible progressive group of folks passionate about good food, great art and the best coffee. Luckily for us, it is all here. Located 3 hours from both Minneapolis and Chicago, we offer a lovely spot outside of the cities to relax. Whether passing through on a cross country road trip and needing to crash for the night or wanting to find a place to dig in a couple days, we have what you need. A mile from our home is a 40 acre hiking trail the Village has been diligently blazing and it is beautiful. There is a park with a merry go round, swings and a slide for kiddos just a block away. Exactly one mile the other way there is Lake Elaine with a quaint beach to get your feet wet and swim. We are home to Ruby Coffee, a world renowned coffee roaster with a tasting room open Sat/Sun. There are yoga classes across the street at the old Wallers Market. Judah Studios is a place where you can find local art. Check our website to learn more about the arts and programming we provide on our property to the community and guests. 2 minutes away: Whitetail lanes offer bowling, games, bar and food. 7 minutes away: O'Briens pub has a great atmosphere, Central Waters provides locally brewed beers on tap. 15 minutes away: Stevens Point
  • If you are looking for a quiet getaway, this is the place. No TVs - so you can truly disconnect or connect with a loved one. The beds are amazing - you won’t want to get up in the morning. This is why we are repeat customers. So much nicer than any hotel - the cozy ambiance is hard to beat. Plus you have a complete kitchen if you want to enjoy a homemade meal. Highly recommend this amazing homestead.

  • The Tomorrow River Homestead is peaceful and comfortable, with many creative touches. We got some skiing and fatbiking in at Standing Rocks County park (~10 min away) and sipped coffee at Ruby (just across the street). We enjoyed spending time reading and writing in the living room and purusing the many infesting books on Rue and Zay shared. Our room was quiet and comfortable. There was one other guest while we were there and the space afforded us plenty of privacy, it never felt crowded. Definitely would recommend and I hope we can come back soon!

  • Great place. In a small quite town so it’s easy to unwind after running around all day. The room is perfect. Cozy clean and crisp. Kinda feels like your in a bed and breakfast or a hostel in Europe.

    Keely2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • Rue & Zay have created a tranquil escape from daily life. Their property is located right off of a small river, and each of the rooms is decorated in a minimalistic way that makes you appreciate the little touches of art scattered throughout the building. They also offered up some much needed food recommendations; vegan included. I would definitely stay here again.

  • This is not your typical place to stay. It's a very unique, but welcoming, safe, clean and very reasonably priced place to stay. Rubina was very hospitable and we had everything we needed for a wonderful visit. She works hard to make sure there is everything her guests may need. We enjoyed our stay very much!

This historic downtown building is the most beautiful spot in Scandinavia. The apartment has been recently renovated in a bright cheerful yet cozy feel. Below are beautiful retail spaces waiting for you to peruse. Behind us is a kayak in-out which is perfect for our adventurers. The Tomorrow River Bike trail and Silver Lake are about a half mile up the road. Pack yourself a picnic and head to Jorgens Park or rent a bike, kayak or tube from the downstairs shop to explore the outdoors. There’s a wonderful coffee shop across the street with a Scandinavian gift shop or head to the bakery next door for a sweet treat! Enjoy an evening out by visiting Central Waters Brewery 6 miles away in Amherst. There is so much to do and experience in Scandinavia! We are happy to have you!!
  • Fantastic location, fantastic amenities, fantastic hosts! One of the best values I’ve encountered in the many places I’ve traveled!!

  • My mom and I had an amazing time during our short stay in Scandinavia as we were passing through to our family reunion in Tomahawk. We were greeted and loved by the locals, and felt right at home with this perfect little apartment along the creek, listening to the dam water flowing through was so relaxing. Took a walk from the apartment around a little bit of the trails, it was very scenic! Beautiful little Scandinavian themed historic town!!! I will definitely come back another time. Lisa's apartment was amazing, well furnished, and everything you need for a nights stay, or an entire week!

The Schoolhouse is open year-around, welcoming all who enjoy fishing, biking, hunting, and other outdoor activities. Enjoy your time in the peaceful surroundings or drive 15 minutes to the beautiful Waupaca Chain-O-Lakes.
  • Our stay was very peaceful and relaxing! The location was convenient to area events and restaurants.

    Cheryl2019-12-25T00:00:00Z
  • Comfy, cozy, out of the way place. Perfect for two couples to spend time together.

    Melissa2019-12-03T00:00:00Z
  • Judy is AMAZING!!! She is kind and gracious and welcoming. The Schoolhouse was a wonderful respite from my tyrannical schedule; a warm, quiet place to escape from the noise. It was built in a gentler time and it was wonderful to time travel back to when people smiled more and everyone you met was your neighbor. Thanks Judy.

    Teri2019-10-20T00:00:00Z
  • Charming old school house in the middle of farm country. We enjoyed the peace and quiet of the country after 140-mile bike ride and getting ready for a longer one the next day on the way to northern Wisconsin. Judy had homemade zucchini bread waiting for us when we arrived. And she was waiting for us on the front porch when we arrived.

    Joe2019-09-18T00:00:00Z
  • If your a trout fisherman or just want a relaxing time in the country, then Judy's place is for you. Beautiful trout stream right behind the schoolhouse! Judy was a sweet and attentive host. Close to nearby towns that offer good restaurants, activities and shopping.

    Denise2019-09-16T00:00:00Z
  • Adorable quiet spot.

    Zack2019-09-11T00:00:00Z
  • Wonderful, quaint place to stay. We loved the views of the country! The cows across the way, the corn fields across the street, the creek running through the backyard. It was all beautiful. Judy (the host) was wonderful and was fast at responding, and greeted us when we arrived. The schoolhouse sleeps 6, a queen in one bedroom, a full in another bedroom, and a queen bed in the pullout couch in the living room. The bathroom was nice and clean as well. We loved the bits of nostalgia throughout the old schoolhouse. We highly recommend!

This rustic retreat is at the end of a dead end road and not only is it surrounded by nature, but it is also nestled in amongst old farm buildings. The serenity of the peace and quiet will instantly relax you. Still it is very close to the Iola Old Car Show and the doings at Symco, such as the Symco Thresheree, and Throwdown. The location is perfect for all of the events in Waupaca, Portage and Shawano counties.
The attached screen porch allows you to nap, eat, or visit without being indoors. The kitchen is fully equipped to do as much cooking or baking as you desire. Even spices are included. The bathroom contains a shower and sink. There is also plenty of storage for your bags and clothes. Plumbing for a toilet is not included as there is a cute outhouse closeby.
The property is quite isolated and usually you will not even hear a car in the neighborhood. However, you are only 13 minutes away from Iola, or 30 minutes from Waupaca, Manawa, Symco, or Stevens Point. There are also good trout fishing streams nearby as well as pan fishing lakes.
  • Very pleasant experience

  • We enjoyed our stay here so much! The landscape, the drive in, the outdoor spaces, the trails, the beautiful interior, the awesome hospitality and generous touches like coffee, tea, light breakfast, fresh cider and cream - I could go on and on. My husband is a plumber and he was super impressed by the water conditioning and pressure. We loved every second of our stay. It was cloudy the day we came but we walked trails and as the day gave way to night, the most amazing sunset came out of nowhere and blew us away! We went the local brewery (central waters) for an event and had a blast. Coming back to peace and such a comfy well appointed space was the perfect getaway. We can’t recommend highly enough!

    Amanda2019-10-27T00:00:00Z
  • Such a beautiful place to stay! The hosts were so friendly and accommodating. Very clean and artfully decorated. Beds were very comfortable. So worth the money and will be our first choice in the area.

    Kristel2019-08-25T00:00:00Z
  • This was a perfect place for my family of five to stay during my sister's wedding weekend! It was peaceful, quiet and clean with lots of amenities. My three daughters loved the 'kids' room and the beds were super comfortable. They had books and boardgames to play and they provided tea, coffee, granola, oatmeal, etc. for the morning. It's the little touches that make a good rental great! Thank you Amy and Brent!

    Devinn2019-08-04T00:00:00Z
  • Amy and Brent's place was perfect! We appreciated the beautiful property, local recommendations and extremely clean space. Eating breakfast on the patio was our favorite part! We would defintely recommend to anyone that is considering staying here.

    Lanaya2019-07-28T00:00:00Z
  • Amy and Brent's place is simply beautiful. It is situated in a beautiful country location with flowers and trees everywhere. The apartment is delightfully furnished with everything you need and the bed is very comfortable. Great stay!

    Ivy2019-07-21T00:00:00Z
  • Amazing place to stay. Everything about our stay was perfect. Home was clean, comfortable, and location is perfect. It was a great place to relax. Brent and Amy were great hosts and so extremely thoughtful and helpful in any way. They gave us tips on restaurants, and even gave us fresh milk for coffee and cider. Would definitely recommend.

    Teresa2019-07-14T00:00:00Z
  • Brent and Amy are lovely hosts, they are very welcoming, considerate and accommodating. They are passionate about their home and property and it reflects in their warm personality. The living space is very private, tastefully decorated and so comfortable. Our party of 5 appreciated the breakfast items along with the french press to make coffee. We enjoyed sitting out on the patio overlooking the rolling meadows, walking the trails, and sitting by the campfire in the evening, stargazing and mesmerized by the fireflies glowing around us. Whether you plan a visit to relax or to explore the quaint near by towns, we highly recommend staying at Brent and Amy's place.

  • Private guest house off of Rose's house. Spectacular view of the lake and right alongside a channel with private dock. Clean rental, thoughtful touches like board games, drink chips for local establishment, kayak rental and all "home" amenities available i.e: bedding, pillows, Dish TV, Free Wifi, kitchenware, bath towel, clean up supplies. It does involve stairs to get to main level and the road to get to drive way is pretty sloped if you have some mobility issues. Would definitely stay again! We enjoyed Rose's communication before and after and appreciated her thoughtful walk thru which included local tips.

    Britney2019-10-13T00:00:00Z
  • We had a great stay here! This is a very cute place that has a beautiful view and is full of natural light. The location is central to summer fun on the chain! It was perfect for our fall visit for a family wedding at ICC. My husband and I were both in the wedding, and we have a two month old baby. We were SO grateful to have a quiet escape to care for him right next door!

The location is absolutely perfect, we had fun using Rose's kayak and walked to get ice cream at Scoopers every night. Rose was quick to communicate and was very helpful, my 6 year old already asked if we can go back next summer!

  • Very nice and clean. Close to everything. Loved my stay.

    James2019-09-03T00:00:00Z
  • The pictures do not do this place justice! It is absolutely beautiful and full of pretty, homey touches that made the entire stay delightful. We ended up sleeping out in the screen porch both nights and the space was everything we could have wanted and more. Before the end of our trip, my boyfriend had mentioned possibly doing a repeat visit and I think it's very likely we come and stay again. Was a little disappointed that there was no lake access and that the neighbors were so close, but everything else was so easy, pretty, and comfortable that it more than made up for those surprises.

  • The Clearwater cottage mini-vacation was terrific. The cottage was clean, cute and perfectly located for shopping, restaurants and canoeing the chain of lakes. We enjoyed sunsets on the dock, fires in the outdoor fireplace and a good night's sleep listening to the frogs chirp. We are already looking at our calendar for next year to see if we can fit in another visit. Thanks Todd and Robyn!

Fremont is a great little town with a lot of things to do. With the Wolf River running through and Partridge Lake there are plenty of water activities available. The popular sandbar on Partridge Lake is a great place to be all summer. There is also great live entertainment offered at local bars and restaurants.
  • Perfect for a quiet, romantic get away! We stayed in the Bass cabin. Everything was as described. We rented the pontoon & it was a great value for the price. We spent an entire day on the boat fishing. We loved the fire pits with wood provided. There were also grills. The grounds are well kept, bugs were at a minimum. Caught a large catfish while night fishing off the dock. We had a very good time.

Mid-century modern meets old-fashioned hospitality. A newly (and lovingly) remodeled duplex in the lakeside hamlet of King. Still under construction outside...but don't let that scare you! Just steps from the pristine Chain O' Lakes, restaurants, boat-rentals, bars, shopping and more. Perfect for cottage overflow, an extended executive assignment, or road-trippers passing through Central Wisconsin to all points beyond.
Everything is freshly remodeled...kitchen to bathroom...floor to ceiling. With the exception of some MCM period furnishings. Bright, clean, comfortable and convenient for a weekend's stay or a month!
The Chain O' Lakes is unprecedented in it's beauty and water quality. And the hamlet of King is the center of area shopping and restaurants. Everything is within a 5 minute walk. Nearby Hartman Creek State Park is a gem!
  • Kyle and Ryan's house was super stylish, warm and cozy. They provided us essential food which was really kind. We had everything we need. The kitchen was super spacious and cool. The shower was superb. The many windows gave us various angles of the beautiful snowscape. It was a wonderful stay.

She communicated with me to let me know we could connect with AirBnb to resolve the issue, and through 3-way communication, it was. We are very grateful for her kindness and generosity! Would highly recommend.

  • A beautiful cabin with an awesome view of the lake. Very cozy, very clean with well stocked kitchen and bathrooms. It was bigger than I expected. A return visit is definitely in the planning.

    Sandy2019-10-06T00:00:00Z
  • Great cabin on the lake! Has plenty of sleeping space for large groups (6-8). The deck is large, fire pit with firewood made being outside cozy and was all part of the wonderful experience.

  • Hatch Lake Cabin was all we could have hoped for and more. The house was clean, comfortable, spacious, and well-stocked with towels and dishes and any other items you'd need over a long weekend. Taking the pontoon boat, canoe and kayaks out under the gorgeous sky onto the beautiful lake full of fish to catch was ideal. Chuck was a responsive and accommodating host, who made our stay very easy. What an amazing place, thank you for sharing it with us, Chuck!!

    Amy2019-09-03T00:00:00Z
  • We really enjoyed our time there!

    Jennifer2019-08-25T00:00:00Z
  • This cabin on Hatch Lake exceeded all expectations! The place is lovely and wonderfully appointed. Such a peaceful setting and the ability to take the pontoon out for leisurely lake tours was an added bonus. So many options in the area for our kayaking adventures (we did the Little Wolf and Crystal Rivers) and we never had to take our kayaks off our cars to enjoy Hatch Lake. Ample sleep and living space, large decks off both sides of the cabin, an awesome fire pit and two bathrooms made our girls get-a-way weekend one that we will absolutely be repeating in the future. Thanks for making our stay, from reservation to checkout, so easy!

    Beth2019-08-19T00:00:00Z
  • Perfect size cabin for our couples weekend. It was a nice relaxing weekend! We took the pontoon out around the lake and kayaks fishing. We caught a 26” pike, some blue gill and sunfish. Saw a bunch of turtles. Loved hearing the Loons at night. Watched a Eagle vs Seagul face off on the water which was cool. Relaxed around the fire at night. Nice stereo in the house with speakers in the room upstairs as well. Great setup that has everything you need.

  • Terri and Dennis are excellent hosts and the house is clean, conveniently located, well equipped and roomy. A major storm event had knocked out the power just prior to our arrival and Terri and Dennis were willing to give us their personal residence as an alternative - true dedication to their guests. Fortunately the power returned and we were able to move in without difficulty. Text messages and phone calls were immediately returned. We highly recommend Dennis and Terri as hosts and their house as a base when visiting the area. Bill Parks and the airplane gang who stayed here during the 2019 Oshkosh EAA air show.

  • There is a lot of space in this lovely home and the location can’t be beat. You are right across the street from the chain of lakes and a wonderful restaurant. We were also able to rent a pontoon boat across the street and leave it parked there for three days to use as we wanted. All the amenities of a lake house, without the sticker shock.

This is our cottage on Lake Iola, we don't use it every weekend so we thought we would open it up for others to use as well. It has a fantastic living room/dining room that has an excellent view out to the water. There is also a great deck that overlooks the water as well. We have a small dock and landing that can be used by guests. There is currently a paddle boat, a canoe, and two kayaks that can be used by guests. The house is not air conditioned, but we have recently added 2 window ac units.
The 2nd floor is accessible through a spiral stair case, so extra caution is needed while going up and down.
This is a fairly quite neighborhood, with some permanent owners and others that only use their homes as a vacation home as well.
  • Corey's lake house is a great getaway and has a lot of readily available things to do without having to head into town. We enjoyed spending time on the lake during the day and watching the collection of movies in the evening. The kitchen is well stocked and the outdoor fire pit is also great for grilling. While we stayed, the temperatures were in the upper 70s/low 80s and the window ac units were more than adequate. The house is very clean and free of bugs, which speaks to how well it is maintained. We would definitely return.

    Steven2019-08-18T00:00:00Z
  • Corey's place was a very comfortable and well-furnished place to relax after our day's activities in the area. We enjoyed visiting Iola, Stevens Point and Waupaca during our two days in the area. Corey is an exceptional host!

    Russell2019-08-04T00:00:00Z
  • We appreciate Corey & his girlfriend providing extra special touches such as toiletries & cooking necessities. This is not an air conditioned home so it does get warm at times especially if u are cooking & have the oven on. Ceiling fans in every bedroom & living room but additional fans do help. (We brought our own) suggested to Corey to provide couple more sturdy fans. Evening; cools down which helps. This is not a swimming lake (quite muckey) & you can cast fishing lines off the deck but do expect to get grass & lilies caught on your fishing lines. We did real in various catch & release fish. All in all it’s a nice home with plenty of options to reconnect & spend time with your kids.(I love NO WiFi so our colleges had to talk to us:)

Walk down and fish off the dock or paddle out and fish anywhere on the lake. You will find such peace here. Darren is a gracious and communicative host, who responds quickly to questions. Cannot wait to stay here again. Truly a 5 Star experience.

  • The place was clean, cozy, and has some brand new stuff. My family and I had a great time and the lake view was fantastic! You can do many activities such as kayaking and fishing in the lake. The host was quickly responding to my texts and he provided me with lists of activities and events around the area. He was so kind and generous and was the first host who brought us a gift (fresh fruits and vegetables) from California! The neighbors also were so nice and friendly. I highly recommending his place; you won’t regret visiting this great place.

  • The truth is that we did not get a hotel anywhere or rooms I suppose for the air event and I did not stop to see that I had or not the accommodation before it I only saw that I was a super host so my reservation fleeing would accept me that same night and well we got an answer, the thing is that there was no electric power through the passage of a tornado or similar friend and they received us anyway, they had an electric generator which they had to turn off at 10 pm which was not inconvenient okr we were tired, we slept very well, in the morning bid we prepare a delicious breakfast and let's talk about everything very pleasantly, thanks for acceltar despite the circumstances, the place is very picturesque, in the middle of the field surrounded by trees and a beautiful view, we will surely return

  • Awesome old farmhouse with tons of living space. The Garden Room was spotless as well as the bathroom. A lot of history in this place. You will learn a lot 😀👍🏻. Fun place to stay and would be awesome for a family get together!

  • Fabulous place to stay. Cozy room and house in a beautiful setting. Bob was a great host. We had everything we needed! Thank you so much. Warmly, Nancy

  • Marguerite and Bob have a wonderful B & B. I stayed in a room with a very comfortable bed. The home has a living room with dining area, kitchen and bath. I kept some food I brought in the refrigerator, and they supplied coffee in the morning. Everything was spotlessly clean. Marguerite is a very gracious host. Definitely 5 stars. I heartily recommend this B & B to anyone. Thank you Marguerite and Bob!

Private, room-sized guest building with full size bed, dressers, air-conditioner, heater, small refrigerator, microwave and mini coffee pot. Potential guests should please note that it is a good walk from the guest building to the main house where the bathroom/shower/laundry is located - a distance that might be inconvenient to some, especially at night. However, the chance to enjoy the rural views of nature and the two beautiful ponds on the property more than makes up for the inconvenience.
Shared bathroom inside main home with shower and laundry access. Mini fridge, microwave, and coffee pot are provided in the room plus tv and blue ray dvd player.

  • Leslie’s place is awesome if you like to see the stars and have some privacy. The room is detached from the main house which was a fun change from the more traditional places I’ve stayed. I highly recommend Leslie’s place for peace and quiet! Leslie is also a very attentive hostess, great with communication and details. I would love to come back and bring my wife.

Amenities are great, and there are many things to do around the area. No need to bring food or beverages- Howard has got you covered with a full bar and restaurant. Excellent!

My place has been a cozy fishing destination for over 50 years; family owned by me for 3 years. Great water views, close to Fremont restaurants, the beach, and family-friendly activities. You’ll love my place because of the people, the outdoors space, the river, the fishing, and the neighborhood. My place is good for couples, solo adventurers, families, and business travelers. If you like the outdoors you will love it here!

Nelsonville is one of those quaint places you always dream of stumbling upon while traveling. We moved here in 2017 because we wanted to be around an incredible progressive group of folks passionate about good food, great art and the best coffee.
  • Love this space❤️ simple, and elegant. It was a great place recenter and disconnect from screen time. Perfect getaway during the week, and check out Ruby coffee roasters for your morning joe and scone.

  • Perfect place for a pit stop. We were on our way north for a xc ski trip and needed somewhere to stay for the evening. Self-check in worked out fantastically and we honestly were a bit sad that we weren't stay for a longer amount of time. We didn't have any contact with hosts during our stay, but the place was incredibly clean and welcoming. Will definitely be back if we are in the area.

    Chelsea2019-12-14T00:00:00Z
  • Cute and unique spot. Very welcoming and friendly. Clean and well kept. Definitely would recommend for a short or long stay.

  • I stayed at the Tomorrow River Homestead as a long term guest during an internship in Steven's Point. Rue and Zay were very kind and welcoming. There were plenty peaceful places to sit and relax around the property. Sleeping arrangements were very comfortable.

  • This place is SUCH a gem! If you're looking for a relaxed, art-centered, inclusive space with a communal vibe, look no further! I would absolutely recommend staying at the homestead, especially if you're looking for a new lodging experience!

    Carla2019-07-13T00:00:00Z
  • A fantastic place to stay for the week! Rubina was super helpful in getting us acquainted with the area but we also had the ability to have privacy in the patio and at times in the communal kitchen. The bathroom is shared which wasn’t an issue for us. I would have liked a few more kitchen essentials and a way to organize our food items in the shared kitchen but it wasn’t any huge issue. A great place! We’ll be back!

  • One of my favorite Airbnb’s. Loved the warm and peaceful energy here. Such a creative and lovely space to relax, refresh, and write. Looking forward to returning again in the fall and winter.

  • We are a young couple who stayed at Rubina's place for a long weekend. We absolutely liked the place. It is very quite and clean. The hosts are also very friendly in case you want to start a conversation with them. However, if you appreciate your privacy and want to be on your own, they absolutely respect that.

    Brianna2020-03-15T00:00:00Z
  • I had another great stay at the Homestead. It was again peaceful, relaxing, clean, and the bed...it’s the most comfortable bed I’ve ever slept in and puts my own (not cheap) bed to shame. My favorite part was still the art studio. You can see that it’s a room that’s used to create and I feel immediately inspired to do so every time I step foot in there. The only bad thing about my stays so far is having to leave! :( (already planning my next trip, though!)

    Maggie2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • I had a great stay! I felt that everything was exactly as portrayed. It was bright and clean and quiet. Rue briefly stopped by to check that I was getting settled in okay, which was appreciated, and then I got to spend the remainder of my time creating in peace, which was exactly how I’d hoped to spend it. The bed was incredibly comfortable. WiFi signal was great both in my room and in the art studio. My favorite unexpected touch was the white noise machines that I think they have in every room. I didn’t find that anything was particularly noisy when I went to bed, but still appreciated it because I always sleep with one on at home and had forgotten to bring it. Can’t wait for my next stay!

  • Welcoming space. Welcoming hosts. Check out the cool little coffee shop a block away, while you’re there.

  • Tomorrow River Homestead is in a lovely village setting. It is not that easy to find by Rue and Zay provided excellent instructions on how to find it. Even though I arrived when it was fully dark their diagram and photos did the trick. Then I had a lovely and restful stay in a super quiet, spacious, and homey place.

    Nancy2019-10-04T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely area, lovely room!

    Sydney2019-09-29T00:00:00Z
  • Great place to stay, especially if you’ll be here for a while. An easy 20 minute drive from Stevens Point and no trouble finding the location. It’s as cute as the pictures make it look and as impeccably clean as the pictures look too even with several guests using the communal areas. I never had to wait for the bathroom and guests mostly kept to themselves but were also happy to chat if you wanted. Definitely say hi to the chickens and make use of the hammock if you can! Rue & Zay were both super nice and very quick to respond. I highly recommend and will stay again if I’m ever in the area.

  • The Tomorrow River Homestead is such a great addition to the lovely town of Nelsonville. It was really peaceful and relaxing. We enjoyed cooking a big breakfast in the communal kitchen, complete with all the comforts of home. They also have lots of great books for reading and relaxing in the shared living room space. Hope to visit again!

    Jenelle2019-09-23T00:00:00Z
  • Great place to stay! The bedroom was really thoughtfully put together, and mine had a toilet and a sink as well. The bed was very comfortable, though I think the comforter may be down, as I would wake up feeling sneezy. Great kitchen. Check in was really easy, and the guide is super helpful - pay attention to it and maybe you'll end up using the correct bathroom from the start, which I did not :) very flexible when I had to change plans last minute. Overall a super calm and comfortable place to stay. Voices really carry from the kitchen, especially when other guests are not respectful of the quiet hours, but Rubina was very conscientious about gently reminding people. Great place for passing through on other business but also seems like it would be a wonderful retreat!

    Emma2019-05-05T00:00:00Z
  • Rubina is an excellent host. We had such a wonderful time exploring the river and the grounds. This place is magnetic.

    Lola2018-08-15T00:00:00Z
  • Being at Rubina's place was like staying at a friend's house when your friend isn't home. It was comfortable, quiet and provided ample privacy. She was very accommodating with my late night arrival time. Even though we never saw each other during my stay, I felt well attended to. The whole process was easy.

  • Great place to relax and unwind. Very calm and nice lake to swim in (and paddle board, kayak, or paddle boat). Very clean and cozy, woodsy cabin vibe. We enjoyed sitting on the dock for a couple of days reading and enjoying the summer weather.

  • Very beautiful place with new everything. Comfortable bed! No mosquitoes. Quiet, perfect lake. They were very quick to respond even though they were on vacation themselves. We would totally come back.
