Welcome to Bramley Cottage, brought to you exclusively by Character Cottages, local specialists in stylish, Cotswold holiday rentals. Bramley Cottage is a wonderful country bolthole which sleeps 2+2 guests, in one bedroom (with the + 2 option being a double sofa bed in the living room), with a stylish family bathroom. Located within the grounds of Orchard Lodge which is also run as a small B&B facility, this property has been finished to a high standard, boasting contemporary interiors, idyllic rural views and an array of modern facilities including wireless internet access, two TVs and a well-equipped kitchen. There is a private garden to the side of the property and guests are encouraged to explore the extensive grounds it sits within, ranging from fields with livestock to manicured lawns and country footpaths. At the front of the property there is off-street parking for two cars. Bramley Cottage is situated in the sleepy Cotswold hamlet of Gretton, a traditional village with a village green, Anglican church and popular country pub, The Royal Oak. This pet friendly inn offers seasonal food and fine views towards the Vale of Evesham and the Malvern Hills, and at the bottom of its garden lies the Gloucestershire Warwickshire Railway, a 28 mile round route for both steam and heritage diesel trains between Broadway and Cheltenham. Just two miles from the village is the much loved market town of Winchcombe, known as the walking capital of the Cotswolds and home to a variety of independent shops, pubs and high quality restaurants. Just a short drive away is the regency town of Cheltenham which offers a wide range of attractions for all interests, perhaps the most talked about being the Cheltenham Festival, one of the top horse racing events in the UK. Surrounded by breathtaking scenery, there are many walks and cycle routes on its doorstep and amazing views can be found along stretches of the nearby Cotswold Way trail and Cleeve Hill, the highest point in the Cotswolds. Gretton is well placed for exploring many lovely villages and tourist attractions in the North Cotswolds including Stanton, Broadway, Snowshill and the Prescott Hill Climb motor racing circuit. Further afield destinations such as Stratford-upon-Avon, Oxford, Blenheim Palace and Bath are accessible for day trips. Important Customer Notice: - Special Events: Christmas, New Year and the Cheltenham Horse Racing Festival are Special Events, with bookings typically limited to weeks only from a specific start day If your dates don’t appear to fit, then please click Contact Host below to find out what options may exist for you!

Bordered by mature trees and mostly laid to lawn, this spot is perfect for relaxing after days spent exploring the region. The owners’ grounds cover five acres and guests are welcome to explore the luscious green lawns, woodland footpaths and paddocks at their leisure. Dogs must be kept on a lead when in the paddocks as sheep and chickens graze here. To the far left of Orchard Lodge lies a well-maintained communal garden with a wooden table and chairs, a parasol and three sun loungers which guests are welcome to use. There is also a summer house with two large sofas and a cosy wood burning stove which is shared with B&B guests from Orchard Lodge. Off-street parking for two cars is available at the front of the property.
The Cotswolds are characterised by attractive small towns and villages, built of the underlying Cotswold stone (a yellow oolitic limestone). In the Middle Ages the wool trade made the Cotswolds prosperous and some of this money was put into the building of churches, leaving the area with a number of large handsome Cotswold stone "wool churches". The area remains affluent, which has encouraged the establishment of many high quality pubs, restaurants and antique shops.
  • Really great, clean and homely cottage with very friendly hosts. So much information was provided about local things to do and see. On arrival there was bread, wine, tea and coffee all stocked up, with information about local shops etc. Stunning location to add to it all.

  • Absolutely wonderful stay at Bramley Cottage. Pete and Liz and so friendly and welcoming. The house is warm, spotless and wonderfully comfortable. The thoughtful touches, flowers, fruit, milk and bread were so kind. Pete and Liz even got a bag of animals ready for our toddler-she had a fantastic time playing with them. Liz very kindly came out to feed Lucy the sheep so our daughter could see her. We highly recommend staying at Bramley cottage. We intend to visit again!

Ex - grooms room, in the grounds of a beautiful country mansion. Self contained bedsit/studio with parking. Stabling available at extra cost if you want to turn this into an equine holiday! 4 miles from Tewkesbury and on the outskirts of Twyning, a beautiful location for a country break. Seasonal breakfast ingredients provided, but we are afraid you'll have to cook them yourself! Tea and coffee making facilities also provided. Fresh milk and bread will be in the fridge when you arrive.
  • This is my second time staying at The Groomsroom and enjoyed it as much as the last time. Its a very quiet location and your neighbour is a horse called Midnight, who pops his head out of the stable when he hears your about. There is nothing that you will want that's not already there. Everything you need you will find here and the hosts are great. I will look forward to staying here again when I am in Cheltenham. Parking is no problem at all,

  • As most times in life, people are judged on their behaviour, in this case Chris & Maggie excelled and made us feel very welcome, the Horse, Cat and the environment was fantastic.

  • Janes' place is in a quiet back street approx' 5min walk from central High St, and within a mile of Morrisons and ALdi and all the high st shops, river walk, abbey etc. The courtyard parking attached to the apartment is fantastic as on street parking throughout the day is for only 1hr but with free overnight parking. Janes' place was the most comfortable I have experienced and her breakfast supplies along with full on cupboard supplies are exceptionally generous - now legendary! Just fabulous! I cannot praise Janes' hospitality enough! Of course I would stay again should I be in the area.

  • We stayed here following a day at Cheltenham Festival and we were not disappointed! We loved the studio with its modern looks and superb views of the surrounding countryside - The perfect place for a couples weekend away. The host, Nicki, was very accommodating and couldn’t do enough to make our stay perfect. Nicki even dropped us to the racecourse on our arrival, which was much appreciated on a busy Gold Cup Day. We would highly recommend and will hopefully be returning again next year.

    Luke2020-03-15T00:00:00Z
  • Great place with an amazing view.

    Joseph2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • If you book with Nicki, you won’t regret it! It was my first time booking with Air B and B, and was a little nervous with what to expect. But she was fab! Offered us an alcoholic beverage on arrival and gave plenty of info on things to do around the area. She’d also left us bread, cereal, milk and orange juice for breakfast, which was great! The apartment was beautiful and just perfect for what we were looking for. Thank you again Nicki!!

    Amy2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • Nicki was an excellent host - considering she had to stand on the side of the road in the rain with a torch to help us find the right house, she would have been forgiven for being a bit off with us! She wasn't at all however and, after showing us around the gorgeous studio, gave us a bottle of wine to enjoy on our first night. Had a wonderful stay (despite Storm Dennis) and would recommend to anyone wanting a weekend away.

    Ami2020-02-17T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely studio, easily one of the best we have ever stayed in. Really thoughtful touches made our stay lovely, DVDs and a games compendium! Really well located for exploring the cotswolds and the Malvern hills. Lots of national trust places around. Would happily visit again!

    Joseph2020-01-26T00:00:00Z
  • Nicki and the studio are lovely! Very responsive and attentive, with lovely touches of detail. Great shower with hot water and comfy bed. Overall a great experience and would definitely stay again!

It is in a great location for the local area and has everything you need for a very comfortable stay, plus Nikki is a lovely host and very helpful! In addition, lots of nice touches such as milk, butter, bread, tea bags, coffee etc (and chocolate!!). Would definitely stay there again!

Are you looking for a cosy retreat for two? You may have found what you are looking for …. tucked away at the end of a no-through road in the rural heart of the three counties you will find our shepherd’s hut placed at the centre of Farm Life.
Our Shepherd's hut is situated within a newly planted English Woodland, at the centre of farm life. During the day you will hear the bustle of farm life; animals being fed, lambing, calving, tractors scraping up or harvesting. At night you will be enveloped by a huge sky and hear the hooting of Barn and Little Owls and the odd moo or baa as the animals settle down for the night. While at the centre of farm life you will experience a great sense of remoteness and peace at being far away from the world. Our Shepherd's Hut Hideaway arrived at Nash End Farm on 3rd October 2013 having been newly crafted in Worcestershire by Riverside Shepherd's Huts. A fusion of Victorian charm and contemporary luxury, your hut contains everything you need for a relaxing break away: a full size double bed, central heating, hot and cold running water, shower, flushing WC, a fully equipped fitted kitchen ready for you to do some serious cooking, plenty of storage for all of your things, all within the hut. There's no need to venture outside until you're ready to take on the day. Please enquire about bringing children and we are no longer taking bookings with dogs. Please also look at our other lisitings on airbnb. Our Iglu Hut is a beautiful aspen clad space with a Scandinavian feel. It's a very similar space to the Shepherd's Hut and I a confident that you will love it just as much. During the warmer months with also offer camping at Eldersfield Tipis also listed on air bnb.
It's remoteness. Although you feel far away from the world, we are central to the three counties and within a 20/30 minute drive of a range of towns, cities and tourist attractions including, the Malverns, the Cotswolds, Cheltenham and the county towns of Gloucester, Worcester and Hereford.
  • Such a beautiful little hut in the middle of nowhere! Stunning scenery and the perfect escape!

    Ri2020-03-05T00:00:00Z
  • Our stay at Nash End Farm was the peaceful break we both needed. A cosy and warm shepherd's hut that felt like the perfect place to wait out storm Dennis. Rosalind was super accommodating and even picked us up from Gloucester station which was really great as we don't drive. The farm was lovely and all the animals were super friendly. Rosalind also let us know when the lambs were being fed and invited us to join. Overall a fantastic stay and we would love to see the place in the summer.

    Cat2020-02-17T00:00:00Z
  • What a lovely place! If you’re thinking of staying in the area this is the spot for you! So warm and cosy, perfect size, amazing location, lovely dogs! Rosalind was so helpful and really friendly. Really good value - can’t wait to go back. Digger the dog is a local legend!

    Will2020-02-02T00:00:00Z
  • We really enjoyed our stay at this peaceful and picturesque farm. We had a lovely time and are very grateful for such cozy and warm (in every sense) place to come home to in the height of English winter. The dogs welcomed us every time we returned to the farm and even guided us to the hut at various times. The Shepherd’s hut is the perfect size and it’s full working kitchen allowed us cook for ourselves after our daily excursions! Thank you again for the perfect place for a much needed getaway.

    Devangi2020-01-19T00:00:00Z
  • It was so lovely to stay for a few days! When we first arrived we struggled to find the house (our inability to read the directions!) but were met by a lovely doggy who help us find the way and was always available for a bit of affection. The hut itself is amazing, beautifully clean and surprisingly more spacious than you’d think. My partner and I especially enjoyed the game of scrabble provided. While there’s not much to do in the immediate area, it’s not far to drive to amenities, we drove into Gloucester to have a bit of an explore. It’s a really great place to stay, thank you so much for having us!

    Elise2020-01-08T00:00:00Z
  • Perfect little space - privacy but owners nearby if you need anything. Beautiful walks and country side on the doorstep.

    Catherine2020-01-04T00:00:00Z
  • We had two perfect days and nights in the cozy hut. We can totally recommend this hide-away.

Location is about 10 mins by car from the centre of Tewksbury and easy to find. Lovely comfy bed didn’t want to get up. Highly recommended would definitely stay again. Just one thing to add guys if you use an electric razor remember to charge it up or take an adapter with you as there isn’t a shaver point, or at least I couldn’t locate it.

  • Caroline’s place was absolutely lovely. The place was very clean, stylish and had all the amenities needed. Caroline added a lovely basket with some items (including delicious cookies) which we loved! The bed was a great size! (Perfect for my 6,4 long boyfriend). And the shower was amazing! (Overhead shower, great water pressure and warmed pretty quickly). The location is remote and perfectly quiet and a short drive to all the sights in the area.

The Apple Store is in the small Cotswold village of Kemerton in a quiet stable yard. It is a private, self-contained small studio detached from the main house but within easy reach of the owners next door. The studio faces south over a grass field, usually holding a horse or two, and is perfect for a quiet retreat. The little courtyard is charming in the summer and a nice place to chill out. The decor is shabby chic but comfortable and under floor heating keeps the temperture stable.
Continental breakfast only. The studio has a small kitchen with microwave, toaster, kettle, fridge and tableware. There is no oven. The bathroom has a shower, sink and toilet. The studio has onsite parking. The yard is currently in poor condition with mud and pot holes but there is gravel standing for the car immediately by the studio and the short distance from car to door is all gravelled. Well trained dogs are welcome.
Kemerton is a charming Cotswold village in a beautiful, rural setting. The village pub, which is walking distance from the studio, serves good food. In Tewkesbury, 4 miles away, there are several restaurants and pubs and a stunning Abbey. For nature lovers, Bredon Hill offers wonderful walks and there is a local nature reserve within walking distance with a beatuful lake, bird hides and lots of waterfowl. For week-day visitors there is an excellent alternative health clinic just up the road offering Acupuncture, Massage, Cranial Osteopathy, McTimoney Chiropractic Treatment and Reflexology. Treatments must be booked in advance through Reception on 01386 725 461.

Welcome to Arthur’s Hut, where you can enjoy a comfortable stay in our cozy, modern Shepherds Hut, whilst making the most of our wonderful Cotswold location. Arthur’s Hut is fully fitted with mains shower and toilet, a small utility area with coffee machine and fridge, a lovely woodburner and a cozy double bed with duck down duvet and pillows. Towels are provided along with a private patio and off road parking. A complimentary breakfast basket is included for your first nights stay.
Arthur’s Hut is located in a fenced off section of our garden, with its own private patio and parking space. Guests share access to our drive and due to the Huts raised position, our home and garden are visible from the hut. The nearest pub is The Royal Oak at the top end of our village, a short 10 minute stroll from the Hut. The nearest amenities are located in the pretty market town of Winchcombe, approx 3 miles away. Bustling Cheltenham and The Racecourse are 20 minutes away by car, Cheltenham train station is 15 minutes by taxi. There are plenty of lovey country walks starting from Gretton and various other destinations are within a 30/40 minute drive - please see our Guidebook for recommendations.
Arthur’s Hut is ideally located in the beautiful Cotswold village of Gretton – we’re on the Winchcombe Way walking route and have a village pub with the most amazing views! We are also lucky enough to be only a short drive to bustling Cheltenham and The Racecourse, Prescott Hill Climb, gorgeous Broadway and the amazing Sudeley Castle. The Great Western Steam Railway is also nearby in the pretty market town of Winchcombe.
  • My boyfriend and I had a lovely time and really enjoyed our stay. The hut is incredibly cosy and very clean! We had the best sleep in a while on this mattress, and the little fireplace makes this relaxing and romantic get-away perfect. There is low to no service and no wifi available, but we totally enjoyed being disconnected for a few days! We also appreciated the excellent communication and fast responses.

    Kayo2020-03-09T00:00:00Z
  • Well thought out and cozy little space with some nice touches like coffee and milk. The royak oak pub is walking distance, with some beautiful buildings and scenery along the way. We had dinner there one evening and recommend it! The town of Winchcombe is not far either. Fish & Chips from Leyton's are recommended too. We were there during a storm and enjoyed hearing the rain hitting against the roof, made it extra cosy with the log burner on!

    Chris2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • We thought that this Air BnB listing was extremely accurate and well pitched. If anything it was better to see the hut in person as we were able to experience its personality first hand! The amenities were exactly as described and in full working order. Wifi would have been good, however we knew not to expect this before arriving and in fact it was quite nice to be a little disconnected for our wholesome walking weekend in the Cotswolds. Abigail detailed to us local pubs and walks which was extremely useful and informed some of the activities we completed during our trip and we were very grateful for that. The hut has everything one would need for a short trip and more. Plenty of blankets, electrical heating and a fabulous wood burner. Would recommend Arthur's hut for a cosy and sweet trip to explore the Cotswolds. Gretton is on the Winchcombe Way route which we walked in different directions and enables one to explore the lovely local countryside. A great stay.

  • Great little place to stay for a weekend in the Cotswolds! Easy access in the car to local villages such as Stow on the Wold, Bourton on the Water and very close to Sudeley Castle for a lovely afternoon out. Close access to the pub for a bit of fun too on a night if you can face leaving the cosy surroundings! Great little log fire inside and other nice little details in the hut. Would return again :-)

    Katherine2019-11-24T00:00:00Z
  • This is a lovely place, the bed is like sleeping on a cloud. I struggled with the log burner first night but was like ray mears the next and slow roasted us, would recommend to everyone. Abigail is a great host. Communication was perfect and she left us to relax. Will definitely be back!

    Lewis2019-11-17T00:00:00Z
  • Despite winter weather the Airbnb was super cosy! Hot chocolate was a bonus after a chilly day out! Bed was super comfy! Enjoyed reading one the books left by the host! Pub down the road is great - went there both nights! Thank you!

Our place is an annex to our main house with it's own entrance in the village of Corse Lawn. We are close to the Malvern Hills, the Cotswolds, Cheltenham Races and the River Severn as well as the towns/cities of Tewkesbury, Malvern, Gloucester and Cheltenham. You’ll love our place because of the outdoors space, surrounded with common land and a number of farms, with lots of public rights of way. It is good for couples or solo adventurers or even business travellers who want to stay out of town
The house is set back off the Corse Lawn common, which is a long strip of public land throughout the village. Your own parking space is just outside the private entrance to the left of the house as you look at it. On the ground floor is an entrance hall and a recently fitted kitchen for your exclusive use, including a fridge, oven and hob along with commonly used utensils. There is no dish washer or microwave. The 1st floor contains the bedroom with ensuite. If you follow the stairs up to the 2nd floor you'll find a comfortable living room with TV + freeview (tea and coffee making facilities in ground floor kitchen).
  • We thoroughly enjoyed our second visit even if storm Denis did it's best to scupper our plans! Nikki and Chris are lovely hosts and the annexe is a lovely place to stay.

    Robert2020-02-17T00:00:00Z
  • Great hospitality and Chris was on hand immediately. Lovely place!

  • Booked this place to be close to family over Christmas, 24th-27th December. What a lovely place and amazingly friendly people. The place is truly lovely. My two year old loved meeting the dogs and sheep Christmas morning, the owners were fantastic with him. Lovely personal touches on arrival, which made us feel very welcome. Wouldn’t hesitate in booking again.

    Lisa2019-12-27T00:00:00Z
  • Just perfect. The annexe was even cosier than it appears in the pictures. Nikki was an exceptional host - she really couldn’t have done much more.. Thanks again, Nikki. 10/10 👏

  • Cliche, but this place is a hidden gem, easy access to the Three Counties and all that happens in those areas; as for the accommodation, there's more space across the three floors at Corse Lawn than there is in my house! Clean, well fitted kitchen, big (en suite) bathroom, it's perfect for a couple that wants a break from city life for a few days and to just enjoy the British countryside and what it has to offer. Highly recommended.

This is a self contained flat with a kitchenette, large shower room and studio living space with bed, sofa, tv and small table. Stunning views over the cotswolds rolling hills and quiet location. Note that during harvest time some tractor noise may be heard due to its rural location and a small amount animal noise particularly during feeding times as the property is located on a small farm. Although in the countryside, the property is 5 minutes from Winchcombe or Broadway and 10 from Cheltenham.
This is a modern self contained flat with its own separate entrance nestled in the peaceful rolling hills of the Cotswolds.
Quiet rural farm on the outskirts of a small village.
  • This is the best air B and B I have ever stayed in. It was absolutely perfect. Great hosts who couldn’t do enough to help us. The place itself is modern and clean. Everything you could possibly want is provided, if it isn’t I have no doubt the hosts would be more than happy to help. Will certainly be staying here again in future!

    Danielle2020-03-13T00:00:00Z
  • The room was lovely and had everything you needed for a short stay. It was a thoughtful touch to have fresh bread and orange juice for breakfast. The location is great if you want to visit the small villages nearby. Would recommend to all for a quick getaway.

The Olive Tree is a 19th century cottage hidden away in the centre of the medieval town of Tewkesbury where the rivers Avon and Severn meet.; minutes away from cafes, pubs and restaurants. Tewkesbury is steeped in history from the 7th century with the a 10th century Abbey. Near by are the beautiful Cotswold villages and the famous Cheltenham town and Race Course. M5 : Junction 9 ~ 10 mins Train Station ~ 16 mins Cheltenham & Gloucester ~ 25 mins Birmingham ~ 1 hour 15 mins
My cottage lends itself more easily to adults due to the quirky cottage style.... The cottage has been renovated to reflect and remain in keeping with 19th century features of that day. The modern decor themes are sympathetic to the era and enhance the 19th century features in the cottage .... a comfortable space to relax in.
The Olive Tree is 3 minutes from Tewkesbury High Street with cafes, restaurants, pubs, shops and sites of historic interest. The Royal Hope Pole (a licensed house) in the centre of Tewkesbury, was visited by the writer Charles Dickens and is mentioned in his book 'Pickwick Papers'.....Tewkesbury Abbey is a beautiful architectural building with history through the ages in plain view as you wander around its building and grounds. Tewkesbury is one of the rare towns in the country that has maintained its original footprint, with no change in the road systems since its beginnings. It also is a town with a plethora of alleys and walkways that were a community in themselves through the centuries, very unique to Tewkesbury.
  • Spotlessly clean..central location..wonderful communication.

  • A truly superhost. Delightful cottage. I felt at home here even before I got there. Evelyn could not have been more helpful, or kind. Excellent standard of comfort, and cleanliness. I truly loved my stay here. Didn't want to leave.

  • I've thoroughly enjoyed my stay here at The Olive Tree, and would highly recommend it to anyone wishing to discover the delights of Tewksbury. Evelyn is a highly personable and thoughtful host, who goes above and beyond for all her guests. Nothing is too much trouble. Her home is beautifully decorated, and spotlessly clean. The Olive Tree really is a home-from-home, and is well situated in the heart of town, with all the local amenities within walking distance. The bed is particularly comfy - I've slept so well! A memorable stay with a lovely host. I would visit again! Thank-you Evelyn.

  • I couldn’t think of somewhere more lovely to stay. Evelyn is a wonderful host went out of her way to make me feel welcome and looked after in her cosy cottage. It is minutes from the town centre, which was ideal for working at the theatre, and very well equipped with everything I could possibly need. Thanks again for such a comfortable and lovely stay.

    Kate2019-11-06T00:00:00Z
  • This was my first experience abroad, and one I was fairly nervous about at first. I was over for a month in total and rented out a room with Evelyn for the duration of the trip. Not only were the room and lodgings themselves, clean, well looked after, and cozy, but Evelyn was helpful beyond belief in recommending excellent locations to visit, the best means of transport, as well as offering more than appreciated advice when asked about the country as a whole. The lodgings as a whole were thoroughly enjoyable, and for myself helped immensely with getting acclimated to the trip.

    Connor2019-11-01T00:00:00Z
  • This cottage is lovely and Evelyn is such a warm and friendly host. The bed is amazingly comfortable! Great other amenities and a really nice area to spend time relaxing and exploring. Would recommend to anyone wanting some quiet away time :)

This can function for either a family break or a romantic hide away. Additionally it is even more spacious than the photos show. The check in process was smooth and the hosts were at hand to deal with any queries very promptly . We would definitely re visit this accommodation next time we are planning a get away.

A dear little garden chalet, newly equipped, perfect for one. The picturesque garden can be enjoyed from the windows, and you are welcome to sit by the pond and enjoy the tranquility. Can be rented together with a two-bed flat in main house . WI FI
The chalet is in the garden of a house in the quaint village of Twyning, three miles from the historic town of Tewkesbury. It is also 200 metres from The River Avon, where boating and fishing take place. The Fleet Inn stands on the river bank - famous for its good food. Quiet village location 1.5 miles from Tewkesbury in separate annexe adjoining our home. Enjoy your own private outside space. Easy country walks straight from your front door. Not suitable for wheelchair users - sorry.
This self-contained annexe adjoining our converted barn, completely refurbished for 2019, is furnished simply but with fine linens, plenty of hangers, (both wooden and padded) and thick towels. The kitchen is supplied with all that you might need for a restful break (including a small amount of coffee, tea, sugar and fresh biscuits to greet you), integrated undercounter fridge with small freezer area, integrated 2 burner hob, integrated microwave/cooker, saucepans and obviously glasses and plates etc. There is no washing machine. For your meals there is a breakfast bar with chairs. To rest your weary limbs there is a comfy sofa looking out on to the courtyard or to the freeview tv. If you prefer to listen to your music there is a docking station for your phone. There is also an outside dining option of a table and bench directly outside your door by a eucalyptus tree or a small table and 2 chairs under the shady leaves of silver birches. You might also choose to sit by the natural pond with your glass of wine and watch the sun go down. It's all very free and easy here but should you wish to get active, you could always use our private tennis court (we can supply rackets and balls if needed). We are close to historic Tewkesbury (1.5miles) and within easy reach of the M5 making this an ideal base to explore the Cotswolds, Malvern Hills as well as the delightful cathedral city of Worcester which also boasts county cricket and premiership rugby. Within 10 miles are Cheltenham who play host to many festivals including Jazz in May, Cricket in July and the enormous Literary Festival in early October not to mention all the National Hunt meetings at the world famous course, but also Gloucester with its cathedral (Harry Potter was famously filmed there) and its cricket and rugby too. There are many information leaflets to help you plan your time here. Most of all, we just hope that you enjoy your stay with us.
The village of Bushley is very old with cottages and houses dating back to medieval times. Tewkesbury Abbey dates from 1102 and has a wonderful river setting. There are 2 museums in the town including a preserved Medieval Merchant's house. Further afield are Cheltenham, 9 miles, with its Spa, museums and great shopping, Malvern 9 miles, with all of its walks over The Hills, and over The Malvern Hills the market town of Ledbury is a must to visit as it is full of unique and individual shops.
  • Chryssie and Bruce were outstanding hosts! So warm and welcoming (as were their kitties). Their charming, self-contained guest suite was everything we needed for our visit to the English countryside. It was beautifully decorated, clean and a very convenient location for our day trips in the Cotswolds. We very much enjoyed our stay. Highly recommended!

  • Staying at Chryssie’s was just delightful. We had everything we needed and Chryssie was friendly and couldn’t have been more helpful. We have no hesitation in recommending Hither Ham Courtyard as a lovely place to stay.

  • Really clean and well kept facilities, incredibly friendly hosts and very welcoming! Couldn’t recommend staying here anymore! Thankyou very much Elaine and Alec

  • Accommodating host, great Studio, beautiful location, completely fine with us bringing our dog. Couldn’t ask for more.

    Andy2020-02-29T00:00:00Z
  • Great weekend away. Lovely studio and very dog friendly

    Sarah2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • We went during the floods, not directly affected, was great as we had plenty of space to chill and watch the rain out of the window. Really clean, our dog could run around outside as could the kids. Lovely space and beautiful surroundings.

    Georgina2020-02-19T00:00:00Z
  • Great use of space, much bigger than we expected. The studio has everything you need and more. The games and DVDs were a lovely homely touch. The studio is in a great location to get around Tewkesbury. The amenities in the studio is everything you will need for a comfortable stay.

    Zoe2020-01-01T00:00:00Z
  • When we arrived we were surprised and delighted at how big the space was; we were expecting smaller and more basic but it far exceeded our expectations. Now I look back at the photos it seems obvious it is the size it is, but initially we felt it was much more than we were expecting, which was great! Elaine has a good sense of style and design and how to get the best out of a dinky area. The kitchen able to cater for quite hands on chefs with two portable hobs that pop out of a cupboard and a microwave /connection combi oven. We loved our stay here, and will be stealing some of Elaine's ideas for designing a space for sure!

  • Can not rate this home and host enough. Really kind and helpful communication. The most beautiful restoration to this quirky property. I doubt you’d find better around the area. We all loved our overnight stay. Thank you Pete!

    Siân2020-03-14T00:00:00Z

Despite huge demand, we have decided that out of respect for our neighbours and the village that we will no longer take bookings for stays to take place over the next few weeks. We will update this listing as and when things change, but for now our family wish you and your families all the best in the coming weeks. J, J, I, F & A
Recently selected by and featured in Suitcase Magazine (The Culture of Travel) as one of 'The 14 Coolest Cabins in the UK & Ireland',this former Blacksmith's building was transformed by Francis Philips Architects into a great escape, with the addition of a suspended walkway & a timber frame extension clad in charred Siberian Larch. The well equipped kitchen is the hub of our house, with a big table, concrete floor and full height windows and doors leading to a small private garden. The sitting room has a wood burning stove and double height ceiling; the suspended walkway above it links the two upstairs bedrooms - the main bedroom with a high pitch ceiling, adjacent dressing space & bathroom and the kids/twin bedroom which is in the eaves. The third bedroom is downstairs and has its own adjacent shower room.
Located in the Cotswolds Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, Gretton is a lovely village located in the heart of the Cotswolds. Gretton is a sweet village with no shops but a great local pub! We are a couple of miles from the market town of Winchcombe, home to Sudeley Castle and some truly wonderful restaurants, we are also just 9 miles from beautiful Cheltenham. The local walks are stunning and varied. Take the GWR steam train to the races and Cheltenham Festival, watch or partake in the marvellous Prescott Hill Climb, and visit the home of The Bugatti Owners Club. Winchcombe has an award winning Budgens with local produce and COOK products.

  • Gorgeous stay in a wonderful location.

    Jessica2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • The Blacksmiths, is a relaxing and family friendly place to stay. It feels like a home from home. We went with our 3 and 1 year old who settled in immediately with a selection of books and toys to entertain them. The stairs weren't an issue with good stair gates even for our climbing obsessed 1 year old. The bit I like is as well as being family friendly it is also a stylish and contemporary home, where the adults can relax. Plenty of space downstairs to enjoy in the evening. Great local amenities and beautiful countryside around makes it a perfect getaway from it all.

    Amy2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • Johanna’s place is beautifully comfortable, even with the contemporary design it always felt cosy. The under floor heating was amazing after a cold day outside, the hot tub was ready at our arrival, the complimentary fizz in the fridge was delicious, the beds and bedding were so comfortable. Showers were powerful and hot water on tap. Loads of toys which the kids loved discovering and the kitchen had everything we needed for cooking some proper meals. Easy to find, good parking for one car, quaint location and very close to Winchcombe and Sudeley castle. Great stay!

    Kelly2020-02-20T00:00:00Z

The Studio at Ostler's Cottage has recently been refurbished in a contemporary style with a ‘Scandinavian twist'. The Studio offers fabulous views across open countryside to The Malvern Hills in one direction and Bredon Hill in the other direction. It has it's own private access via granary steps. The Drum & Monkey, a 16th century inn, is 100 metres away, and the historic riverside town of Upton on Severn with its numerous shops, pubs and festivals is 1.5 miles away. A warm welcome awaits you!
Our local town Upton on Severn is both historic and picturesque. it offers visitors the opportunity to relax and enjoy the riverside location with its shops pubs and restaurants. Throughout the year Upton hosts music festivals with performances from some of the best musicians in the business, so whether you're taste is blues, jazz, folk or pop music you're sure to find something to enjoy. Also nearby is Malvern and the beautiful Malvern Hills which are perfect for walking and for stunning views over the three counties of Worcestershire, Gloucestershire and Herefordshire and beyond to the Welsh Mountains. At the foot of the hills is The Three Counties Showground where a huge range of events are held throughout the year. A little further afield are the historic cathedral cities of Worcester, Hereford and Gloucester, great for sightseeing, history and shopping!
  • Carole's place is amazing value for money. Just a stone's throw away from the Malverns and the Cotswolds and sparkling clean throughout! Had a great stay...would highly recommend!

  • Beautiful and cosy space. Great quiet location with many places nearby. Carole was really welcoming - we didn’t want to leave!

    Emily2019-11-04T00:00:00Z
  • The Studio at Ostlers Cottage is cosy, clean, nicely furnished & warm with lovely views. The space is calm & restful and has beautiful light. The sunrise was beautiful across the fields & the autumn low sun warmly filled the loft. Definitely 'Hygge' as someone else reviewed. Carole left tea, coffee, fresh milk & biscuits & I loved the extra touch of some bright handpicked flowers & photos of the family pets. There is a key safe for easy check in. Fantastic scenic walks nearby. Upton is just over a mile away with the River Severn, pubs, cafes, shops, or just a short walk from The Studio is the Drum & Monkey where we received a very warm welcome. We had our own parking space & privacy during our stay, but Carole contacted us to check we had everything we needed. Would totally recommend Caroles place. Thank you!

  • The Tree House was the perfect base to explore the Cotswolds from. Kate and Colin are exceptional hosts. They had thought of every touch to make our stay as comfortable as possible. The home is beautifully decorated and very private, separate from the main house, so we could come and go as we pleased without feeling that we were disturbing anyone. There is lots to explore in the area too. Highly recommend!

We are very excited to bring the Iglu Hut Hideaway to Nash End Farm this winter. This is luxury glamping at it’s best. A cosy hand crafted wooden space for a totally revitalising break. Inside you will be wrapped in feather like slats of aspen which curve, dome like into the recesses. With a comfortable fixed double bed, soft cotton sheets, a shower and flushing toilet and small kitchenette, you have everything you need inside the iglu.
With no need to venture outside if the weather looks unwelcoming you can create the ultimate Hygge experience, cook a delicious meal, light candles, read, relax over a board game, watch your favourite boxset, or best of all, enjoy that longed for evening of conversation. Then wrapped up in oversized scarves and sturdy boots and a nice warm coat head out for a brisk walk through some of the most beautiful countryside England has to offer. Call in at a local pub for a refuel and look forward to returning to your warm cosy Iglu. During the winter we commend maximum 3 guests with the 3rd guest being a child and you would need to bring your own bed and bedding. During the summer you could book as a group of friends or family with some of the guests staying in tents or camper vans/caravans in the large paddock in which the Iglu Hut is situated. With those needing/wanting the most comfortable spot e.g. grandparents/parents staying in the iglu hut.
It's remoteness. Although we are central to the three counties and within a 20/30 minute drive of a range of towns, cities and tourist attractions including, the Malverns, the Cotswolds, Cheltenham and the county towns of Gloucester, Worcester and Hereford.
  • Lovely find and wonderfully peaceful and refreshing. We would love to visit again

  • This iglu hut is the perfect place for a retreat/escape! It’s far enough out into the countryside to have all the benefits but not far from Cheltenham and Gloucester either if you want to visit a city. We had a wonderful cosy weekend and will hopefully be returning soon :)

Despite its size, there is more than enough room for 2 people, with all the necessary facilities to cook, rest and appreciate the surrounding area. We hope to be back in the near future!

    Oscar2020-01-26T00:00:00Z
  • My boyfriend and I had a great stay here. Highly recommended if you want a little getaway for the weekend. Had everything we needed and was better then we expected 😊

  • The igloo is a beautiful retreat, it is self contained so if you decide you want to just hold up for a few days of peace then you can ( which I did) , but there is enough in the area to keep you interested if you feel up for it, I would recommend this place to anyone.

The Nook is a cosy one bedroom cottage in the beautiful village of Gretton. Set on the Winchcombe Way, The Nook is in a small village that is just two miles outside Winchcombe which has a host of pubs and restaurants. It has a spacious kitchen diner, cosy lounge with inglenook fireplace. A spiral staircase leads up to the Double bedroom with en-suite shower room. The local pub, The Royal Oak, is walking distance and has great reviews. The Nook is perfect for couples looking for a cosy getaway.
The stylish kitchen diner has everything you need to cook during your stay. The kitchen diner leads into the cosy lounge with original exposed oak beams and a stunning inglenook fireplace fitted with a log burning stove. Welcoming sofas provide somewhere to relax after a long day. The freeview TV means you will not miss your favourite shows. From the lounge a narrow spiral staircase takes you upstairs in to the double bedroom where a French style bed is covered in fresh cotton sheets and scatter cushions. The newly fitted en-suite shower room has warm towels and a thermostatic shower. Outside, The Nook has its own private terrace with table and chairs and access to the shared garden where there is another larger table and chairs with BBQ. The Nook is attached to another property called The Cottage and can be rented alongside (under separate listings). There are secure interconnected doors on the ground floor off the lounge and in the bedroom that also act as emergency exits. Every effort has been made to soundproof these doors, but as they are doors you may hear some noise if there are other guests next door. The Nook has a spiral staircase that opens out in to the bedroom. This room is not suitable for very young children. If you would rather a more spacious 2 bed property without a spiral staircase, the adjoining property, The Cottage, can be rented (under separate listing). Please note I DO NOT charge any additional hidden fees , including cleaning fees, that can significantly increase the cost of your stay.
Gretton is a beautiful Cotswold Village with a great local pub, The Royal oak, that is walking distance from the property. There are lots of beautiful walks around Gretton and Winchcombe and plenty of things to do in the local area. The gardens of the The Nook look out towards the old Gretton Church tower and have a number of seating areas to enjoy the pretty garden. Gretton is a village, it has a local pub but no shops. The nearest shops are in Winchcombe.
  • The Nook was a perfect place for myself and partner to escape city life and enjoy the beautiful Cotswolds area. The Nook is styled beautifully and has all the amenities you need including the great log burner. The location is great for getting into local Cotswolds villages and there is a nice pub just walking distance away. Alex was a great host with good and quick with communication. Thanks for a great stay - we would definitely recommend! Thank you!

  • Amazing stay at The Nook! Alexandra was the perfect host and we couldn’t have asked for more. Everything had been thought of, and we had a wonderful weekend in The Cotswolds

  • The Nook is a beautiful getaway in the Cotswolds. The cottage was sparkling clean and had so many beautiful, thoughtful touches. Close to Winchcombe with lots of nice pubs around. The log burner made for lots of cosy evenings. We can’t wait to return already!

  • Great spot, lovely stay, highly recommend

    Aidan2020-02-02T00:00:00Z
  • We had a wonderful 2 night break at the Nook. The cottage is beautiful inside and has lots of small touches that make a stay so much nicer. It felt bigger inside than on the pictures and there was plenty of space for two people. It was warm and cosy with the log fire in January and it was obvious a lot of care had gone into designing the layout and style. Alex was a great host and was very flexible with our arrival time. The location is great with a fab pub only 5 min walk away and lots of lovely walks very close by This is perfect country retreat for 2 people and we had such a relaxing weekend escape. Thank you!

    Jenny2020-01-19T00:00:00Z
  • What a lovely little cottage. Perfect for a few nights away as a couple! We loved every second. The local pub does amazing food which we would highly recommend. The log fire was just what we needed for a cold, wet and windy few days. Bed was super comfy! Honestly couldn’t have asked for anything more. Such a lovely touch with the initialed mugs and welcome hamper. Thank you so much Alex 😊

    Carla2020-01-15T00:00:00Z
  • The Nook was such a lovely place to spend a weekend in the Cotswolds. It was beautiful, cosy and sparkling clean. We really enjoyed the extra touches we were welcomed with and the wood burner. Gretton is a quaint village with a lovely pub (with great food) just a short walk up the road, and Winchcombe is only a 5 minute drive away. Alex was an excellent host and we couldn’t have asked for anything more from our short time in the Cotswolds.

Restaurants, pubs, nature reserves, rural villages. You’ll love our house; it's very quiet, unlike the town, clean, spacious & elegant. It is our UK home, so looks and feels like a real home, not a holiday-let. It is a quick walk to Upton (10-12 minutes flat walk, via quiet walkways or streets. Off-road parking at the property. Great for couples. If two guests want the second bedroom, you trigger by entering THREE guests!! Responsible adults only! Contact me now to check your needs.
The kitchen and conservatory are large and the conservatory a lovely space to sit or eat.
Upton is a delightful, small black-and-white, historical village on the River Severn. There are numerous walks along the river and elsewhere, direct from the house. Malvern is just 4 miles away as are the splendid Malvern Hills. Three Counties show ground is just 2 miles away. Clive's Farm is a gentle walk to buy organic meat, good veg and home-produced cider! There are several good pubs in the village of Upton and some great gastronomic inns and restaurants a short drive away. The local Thrishna Bangla restaurant is exceptional. Five miles away is one of the finest Thai restaurants anywhere. Details in the guest book! You can walk from the house to the centre of Upton in 10-12 minutes, via lanes or ancient, lamplit walkways that cut through the whole village.
  • Amazing house, very clean and spacious! Easy to discuss any queries with the hosts. In a lovely little town with great restaurants. Couldn’t recommend this place enough

    Nathan2020-03-12T00:00:00Z
  • This is exactly as described, a perfect spacious accommodation in the delightful village of Upton-on-Severn. The facilities are excellent with a well-equipped kitchen and everywhere was very clean. The bed was comfortable and the location is quiet. Good WiFi, easy parking. Angus is great on communication and there is a very helpful file of information both on the property and local area. We would absolutely stay again in the future.

  • Great house!

    Sarann2019-12-26T00:00:00Z
  • My partner and I stayed for five nights to celebrate her birthday. We had a wonderful time, using the house as a base to visit Witley Court and Worcester, as well as being perfect for staying in, watching DVD's and cooking for each other in the well-stocked and spacious kitchen! The town itself was nice and peaceful, with a quaint and pretty high street. The house was exactly as described - spotlessly clean, beautifully decorated, with easy to follow check-in instructions and house rules, and clear communication throughout. Thank you to Angus, Adrienne and Kim for ensuring our stay in Upton was a thoroughly pleasant one! Elwin and Sophie

  • Perfect property for our couples weekend away to the Malvern Hills. Lovely little place that was incredibly clean. Facilities were great and we had everything we needed. Some nice touches with the goodies left for us by the host who was great throughout. Very quick replies to any questions we had and provided some fantastic recommendations for places to eat. Check in was incredibly smooth and without issue. Although we didn’t get the opportunity to use it, there is a nice little screened off area to sit out in the lovely garden that had rabbits, squirrels and a green woodpecker feeding there during our stay. Hope to visit again!
