I felt right at home. The house conveys a wonderful Japanese atmosphere and is very carefully furnished. It is a bit outside the center, but it is easily accessible on foot or by bus. Makoto, the host, was also very helpful and gave me various recommendations for the area, as well as for my further trip.

Lovely place located near Kenrokuen and the castle. 20mins walk to higashi chaya district too. The place was very clean and comfortable. Highly recommend. Glad we ditched the car rental as the parking space in front of the house was very tight and narrow. Ok if you have a very small car but definitely difficult/almost impossible if you have an SUV.

I stayed at this place with a friend for two nights and was really impressed. The Machiya is well kept and in a good location. If I return to Kanazawa, I would be happy to stay here again.

Megumi was an excellent host. The location was extremely clean, and in a very nice neighborhood. It is close to the center of the city, and there is a grocery store nearby. I wish I could have stayed longer! Thank you for the memories.
