Kid-friendly holiday rentals in Saint Helena Bay

Kobus’s place was open plan and spotless. Amenities described in the listing were all available and in working order. We appreciated the milk, water, rusks and wine Jenny and Kobus provided. Jenny was very accommodating to our check in and out times and she was very responsive. The direct pathway to the beach was the cherry on top.

We stayed for two nights but honestly wished we stayed for more, the place is stunningly beautiful, it really felt like a home away from home albeit within walking distance from the beach, quite literally a few steps over a dune. It was comfortable, modern and spacious! The area around is breathtaking and we even managed to see a few dolphins frolicking nearby! We will definitely come here again!

A Thousand % recommend. This accommodation is exactly as described and the images does it justice. We felt welcomed and had the coziest stay with friends and our little ones that had all the space to roam around freely. All the basics are already there and more. We had a very memorable time. The house is beautiful, with well-sized and well-equipped facilities. The kitchen is fully stocked with everything we needed. There's also a lovely backyard garden, and a wooden bridge makes it easy to reach the beach

We had such a lovely stay! The view overlooking the ocean was absolutely breathtaking, and the cozy ambiance with the indoor fireplace made our weekend perfect. A relaxing and memorable experience!

It was bigger than I expected. Loved the little courtyard/braai area. Everything was beautifully decorated inside. Everything was easy to find. Was a really nice gesture to find fresh milk in the fridge. Would highly recommend Lana's place! Thank you Lana.

We really had a lovely stay. Felt right at home. Everything were very clean and neat. Loved the view and the apartment is so cozy and warm in the afternoons with the afternoon sun warming you up on the cold winter days. This is the place to stay when it is winter. Cherize where a lovely host so welcoming and very friendly. We would always come back to this place again and again.

Everything was exactly as described in the listing. The location is perfect, close to the beach with a lovely sea view. Plenty of restaurants and attractions nearby, making it an ideal spot. The home is well-equipped with top-notch amenities. The beds were comfortable, and the Wi-Fi speed adequate. The Braai/BBQ area was a highlight—fully equipped, sheltered from rain and wind. We also appreciated the reliable power supply during load shedding and convenient parking for two cars. Vanessa and her husband were exceptional hosts—always friendly, responsive, and eager to help. Vanessa truly goes out of her way to ensure a great experience. The property included many thoughtful extras that made our stay even more enjoyable. Just a stone throw away from the beautiful Atlantic Ocean in all her glory. The beach has an abundance of flat stones, making it a mecca for someone who enjoys stone-skippimg whilst taking in the amazing views. The beach is pristine, and you'll see the random (large) crayfish just walking past you as if going for a stroll. So many west coast mussels all around too. The area is very quiet, with the occasional spotting of anotber resident. The closest shop is in the next town, a short drive away. The rest of the space is beautifully designed, functional, good braai area. Flowy lounge and kitchen area. Good strong wifi, fully equipped for self catering, lovely outside braai area.

while the decor is relatively simple and even a little dated, the view from this home is what it's all about. it's even better than the photos. you are literally on top of the waves. a location you don't get often. the rock pools below were fun, the beach is a stones throw away and I actually watched my kids playing on their boogie boards from an armchair in the lounge! I'd have loved to have seen a booklet of things to do, suppliers to use (we ended up renting a wetsuit as the sea was super cold), restaurants to go to (we had a really short stay so stayed in both nights), etc. but no complaints at all. A really special stay
